I'm going to post this here since I have no better place to put it. Anyway, I just saw the anime of Wind -A Breath of Heart- and to tell you the truth, it sort of pissed me off. Not because, it was particullarly bad or anything, but because part of episode 9 was missing. Which i found out is an important part. Anway, because of that i failed to understand the meaning of the last episode, and besides that the part was obviously pretty emotional. I hope someone will translate the Minori games, i really want to beat that game with Minamo. Goddamnit! Freakin' pisses me off so bad! I just HAD to watch it just becaue Makoto Shinkai is the opening animation director for Minori, didn't I?! AAAGH! scream I'm so freakin' angry!
I just had to get that out.
Anyway, funny thing, the main character of Wind -A Breath of Heart- is named makoto. I wonder if thy did that because of Shinkai... He's pretty cool though. Sadly, I haven't seen Place Promised In Our Ealy Days. Besides that i want to play ALL of the Minori games, they look pretty awesome. I dunno maybe it's just becaue i like Shinkai's style.
I'm still pissed off though. =_=
Edit: You know the characters from BITTERSWEET FOOLS look like they're from Gunslinger Girl... @_@ I mean, not only that but they also have names like Lenie, Siena, Franchesca, Solino, and what not.... >.> Yeah... not exacly Japanese names and i don't know if they're Itallian, but they seem like they could be. >.>
Edit #2: Yeah.. the manga-ka for Gunslinger Girl did the BITTERSWEET FOOLS character designs... >.> No wonder. @_@ Now i really need to play that. <.<

Okay so anyway, I would really suggest going to a Con with Hirameki at it f you're into visual novels. Why? Well, 1. They had a buy one get one free deal so I managed to get... well... a lot more than I expected. 2. the sell things early. I have Animamundi now. @_@
Also, if you want ero-games J-List sells them at cons apparently. Actually that's basically all they were selling their table was filled with Hirameki International and JAST USA products. Plus thay also had Casual Romance Club which was actually made English by the Japanese company. To tell you the truth, it looks pretty impressive. There's three other guys besides you, it has a schedule system, and there are 12 different hirls. You can play in different styles to make the game more or less based off of romance of sex, and since there are 12 girls there's a good renge of choice. What surprised me is when my brother and i took a look at the instruction book it was hardcover, but even more so was they had this guide/quiz thing in it which you're supposed to take to see which girl you should go for... Funny thing, I think it actually works. I triued it and looked at the girl's profile, turns out she's a cheerful person and Joined the Casual ROmance Club because she had a already liked the main character before the game started. Seems like me to go after a character like that. Also in this system they actually seem to have voice actors, yet you still enter your name, so I'll see how that turns out. The month boran and such also might have some effect too, they mention all of the girls' astrial signs. Anyway, it looks like there was a lot of work put into the game. I would already reccomend it. @_@

Uh... do you get more events and choices if you lose every so often in Ishika and Honori? O.o I don't know, I got no plot changing options and I never lost a fight. however it says it has interactive plotlines and combat. What happenned to the plotline part? Little but too straighforward with the way I crashed through this. @_@ Besides that, it hardly lasted me five hours. Maybe combat style counts?

Uh... in at least on e of the Minori games the characters' mouths actually move when the talk... with lip synching. That's interesting. I haven't seen that before.
Edit on 6/6/06: Freakin' crap! I want to play the D.C. games! I mean after seeing the D.C. II opening I felt like it would be good to play a visual novel with that kind of mood. Well, one of decent length, and with more options and what not. The thing is... there's a ton of D.C. stuff... I mean there's at least four games, the anime, the manga, etc. I'm guessing it was a pretty popular title. I can see why if the OP and anime actually conveys its mood successfully. I mean, people thought the anime was boring, but being a romance based visual novel sometimes it's nice to have a more mellow feel to it. That's the reason I wasn't bored out of my mind when watching Lamune, which I would also play... However, I don't know of ANY translations of any Neko Neko games.
