Ushaufu - Little lost cub Nuxaz The pale female with green markings made her way, slowly, across the lands of the oasis. The three v marks ached a bit as did her growing stomach. Her tail flicking behind her she realized that this was the first time in a while that she had taken a walk in the morning, every other time had been at night, when the moon shone.
Each step left a paw print in the sand but was covered as her flicking tail passed over it. Her violet colored eyes glistened slightly as she looked up into the sky before focusing on what was infront of her Dark Fire Angel The terrain was vaguely familiar to the male was he padded onward; not really heading anywhere, but then again, he wasn't coming from anywhere either. Nowhere to go to, nowhere to come from... Ushaufu was confused. Or rather, he wasn't confused anymore, of instead was trying to stomach what he'd learnt over the time he'd been wandering aimlessly. He'd left Varg behind.. he'd left everyone behind; he needed to think, and when deception went on a thinking trip, it was known to take a while. In fact, it'd taken so long that the male had barely noticed the fact he'd grown. Now, this wasn't a singularly strange event for most, however, the fact the lanky god had remained a cub for oh-so-long before ever hitting his growth spurt and the fact Truth had pondered that perhaps her brother's growth was linked to the heart, changed the perspective of things.
Alas, Ushaufu had barely noticed he'd grown; his mane had never grown to cover his neck however, remaining as long, wide strip of dark green hair that travelled the back of his neck and down along his back. It was strange; he was an adult, indeed, and he looked like one, larger than he'd been before, however, the lack of a mane made him resemble more of an overgrown mountain lion or puma, than a real lion.
His wings remain visible upon his back as he treded upon the dry soil, his tongue coming out momentarily to lick his maw before he lifted his red hued eyes; the place was familiar indeed, and he really didn't know why. Then again, he really didn't care either; he was still too busy thinking. He thought about his mother, his father, whomever they were. He thought about his sister, Truth, and his step brother, Denial... he also thought about the dieing forests he'd left behind; those trees he'd come to think of as home. However, he thought about Kizuka above all; the feelings were contradictory, some good, some bad and most in between, confused.
Thus so the god barely even noticed it when he padded right into man's oasis; a territory he'd long ago visited, way before she showed up. Way before he'd begun to grow, but mentally and physically.
It wasn't till he practically hit himself against the wall of the temple that Ushaufu finally paused his thoughts and turned to look up and around, finding himself in the middle of the oasis; a place that suddenly clicked his mind and drew out memories of a young wannabe male-seer cub with strange markings, "Damn it..." the word was hissed as the male furrowed his brow somewhat, taking in a deep breath in order to release it as a sigh, and he only thought that crossed his mind then was that 'home' was a mere flight away from here, and that 'she', Kizuka, would be there. Part of him hoped she was, while part of him hoped she wasn't; that she'd gone away, far away where he couldn't find her, and far away from that dieing place where they had hardly been able to hunt and eat.
Tell truth, the god hadn't been eating very well, even now; he barely ate, merely the necessary, and he didn't hunt, rather; he'd just eat off taken down corpses. His mind just wasn't into it; it'd been lost for a while now, and though he no longer lived in denial, he lived... somewhere else. Hissing again, Ushaufu turned around, planning on heading out of the oasis, and on a different direction, opposite from mist weaver territory, however, the pale form of another caught his attention, his eyes narrowing at the lioness as she padded nearer.
That white pelt, that green marking.. those eyes.
He knew this one.
He remembered her, however, his mind was keen on remembering a happy, placid, young cub, and what his eyes were seeing was far from the mental image; this lioness had grown, and she was heavy with cubs. He could tell. How he could tell, he wasn't entirely sure, however, it didn't seem to matter; he seemed to grasp the opportunity to escape his own mind for a while and instead spread his wings, flapping them a few times before landing in front of the pale lioness, looking much like death personified for a moment. The bones within the large black wings, creaked and clashed awkwardly, creating a horrible sound as he stared down at her; he wasn't much bigger than she was, but still large enough to loom over her, his head tilted to one side, "My, my, what has life done to you, little white, lost cub? How is it you've ended up in such a place?" his words were slightly harsh, dripping sarcasm and perhaps holding a hint of a mocking edge to them as he arched a brow, "Still lost and all alone?"

Mahuli & Audilifu - For me to know Dark Fire Angel Clear blue eyes regarded the ground; dirt, rocks, and a few bugs scampering between them, nothing unusual, however, said eyes seemed to widen in fascination before their small, blue hued owner crouched down to regard the insects from a closer view. The wings that adorned the petite figure seemed perhaps slightly large for her form, specially as they spread, her paw coming forth to place itself in front of the ants, interrupting their path.
The bugs seemed to grow confused for a mere moment before back trailing and walking around the paw that had blocked their way. Muhali giggled as she raised her paw, her thoughts swirling around strange areas before she finally looked up; Audilifu was not here yet. That much was obvious, even to one such as Mahuli. this just meant she needed to spend.... her time wisely, doing something else. Like watching the leaves from the trees fall, for example.
The idea was discarded however as the wind brought with it the scent of something further more interesting than leaves or trees; it brought the scent of a male. Slowly, the small female stood up on all four, her wings leaving plain sight, vanishing completely before she stepped out from the shelter the tree had been offering her; the sun shone upon her pelt, displaying dark blue stripes over a lighter blue coat, her frame small, specially for an adult, for she couldn't have been much larger than runty adolescent, however, there was no denying her age. It shone within her eyes, the type of wisdom only gained via experience and time.
Opening her maw, she mewled loudly, calling to the male, whomever it was, and though the action might've seemed alarming, Muhali was, after all, irrational in her ways; she saw it as an opportunity to play and make friends. Her wings were safely hidden away and she probably looked quite strange, sitting in the middle of the savanna, calling out to a male she both did not know and could not see yet; alas, one thing was certain, this male would not know that she was a god, and it'd be amusing, no matter whom he was.
Irrationality was bliss at times. Kisoni Ukatazaji wasn't feeling himself. No, that was innacurate, he was at the top of his game. Flicking an ear at a bug, he decided that he was neither; he was both. Where everyone else was concerned, he was at the top of his game.. where she was concerned, he wasn't feeling himself. Truth would do that to you, especially if you were in denial; which he was, rather indefinatly. Speaking of, she'd yet to show up wich was rather unusal for her, as he had no doubt she'd been telling the truth about the meeting times... she really didn't have a choice in that regard.
Then again, did she have a choice? He didn't have to deny things, he simply did. That in itself was a load of tripe and Ukata chuckled. It really was an awkward existance, his, but he didn't mind it so much when certain persons weren't involved, clouding things up entirely. Well, she hadn't shown yet and he was getting sick of waiting. Standing up to stretch, Ukata cut trenches in the ground with his claws and ignored the light gleaming off the baubles permanently attatched to his paws. Shaking dust off of himself, he flapped his wings in turn. White was hard to keep clean, a fact he'd grown used to as the white cap on his wings had grown in during childhood. It was at these thoughts that he heard something calling to him.
There weren't words involved, so it was questionable as to how Ukata knew this creature meant for him to answer. He did, though, and he folded his wings back into invisibility before heading to answer it. Heading around a bend in a sand dune, he was soon to come face to face with a little blue.... cub. Ukata blinked, why was there a lone cub in the middle of the summer-dried savanna?
It took only a moment for him to decide that he should approach her--after all, Ukata wasn't unsociable, he simply wasn't tolerable by others standards. Liking that too much to try and mangle it in his mind, the lion continued his way forward until he stopped in front of the little blue creature, looking down upon her with his serious amber eyes. Slowly one brow raised in question, "And what are we doing here, little ice cube?" -- The end

Mahuli - Shadow of a lion Syrius Lionwing Silence in the first dawn, a lone lark singing the praises of the day hich in one of the many acacia trees. Below those skelinton like trees lay a creature, dead it would seem a shadow of a beast. A Jackal perhaps had picked at it's ears during the dark hours. Clearly the beast had to be dead. How strange then that it drew in a deep, long, raspy breath, the frame rattling, the skin seemingly would fall from the dillapdated form with that breath. This breath, he did not need to draw it, though occassionally he did, just because he could, because it gave the illusion of life. Truely nothing such as him could possibly live.
The lion sat slowly then, the head which seemed large andout of place against the rest of the frame wobbled for a moment as if it must fall off with his movements. The carcass rose from the ground slowly, the form of the beast was beddraggled, dirty, boney. Every bone in his body was clearly visable, the spines ridges clinging to his thin furred skin.
Stone grey eyes looked slowly upon the world, emotionless, dead, unfeeling they watched the sun peer over the horizon. He greeted the new day by letting the breath he had drawn some minuites ago escape from between his sown lips, his frame once again juddering in a deathly, bone rattling manner. Tattered wings stretched for a mere moment before he turned his gaze away from the sun. He never knew where he was going, he simply knew when he got there. The god of famine took a step, slow, drawn out, seemingly agonising step. He was on his way to some where. Dark Fire Angel Irrationality was on the move; he was usualy on the move though, not caringwhere she went or where she roamed, for the world was unique and interesting, no matter where she went Though lately she'd been traveling with Truth, the two had decided to part for a while, promising to meet up later that same month to share experiences and roam together once more. It'd been hard for Irrationality to mingle with Truth at first, however, both had found the other's company of use and quite enticing after a short while.
Truth was not here however, and Muhali though not exactly bored, craved some company. This was why she was always on the move; her domain usualy demanded she mingle with others, less she feel lonely.
Her form must've been quite strange for anyone to lay eyes upon; a healthy, blue hued frame that trotted quite idly along the savannah, clear blue eyes staring up ahead and all around as her tail swished. A blissful smile adorned her maw as she moved on, and though her wings were missing from sight, her eyes seemed to voice the Knowledge she possesed, a knowledge that could have only been acquired through generations of life. Though she was an adult and had been for as long as her mind stretched back, Irrationality was small; so lithe, in fact, that her frame was no larger than a juveniles's, or perhaps a small adolescent, her stripped pelt shinny, well kept, like that of a groomed cub.
She was obviously not built to fight, and she lacked Audilifu's elegance, replaced with perhaps, childish charm, that showed whenever she stopped to smile at a passing insect, or whenever she'd lower her head to idly sniff a flower here or there. All in all, Irrationality lived in her own small world of bliss; she was not ignorant of the ways of the world, but rather, instead adopted a childish perspective, clinging to the small world she had created inside her own mind. Despite this, Muhali had moments where she displayed a great deal of intelligence and hindsight, her true nature showing, peeking behind the irrationality that clouded her mind most of them time.
Tell truth however, Muhali would've never had it any other way; she was happy in bliss, and she was happy within her own domain. She'd come to decide long ago that if irrationaly were to lack from the world, it would be a monotone shade of grey. Nothing would ever happen, and nothing would develop; irrational thoughts were needed to keep life moving... love was irrational too, in many ways.
It was in fact mostly due to her domain that Muhali stopped her idle trotting and instead stared off into the near distance, where a strangely shadowy figure padded, moved like the living dead. Never did it cross her mind to leave the figure alone; quite the contrary; the petite goddess allowed her wings to reappear as she trotted towards the larger male, stopping near him, pearing at him as she tilted her head. Her body moved again, her wings spreading slightly as she scampered under his frame, scurrying under his belly, only to come and circle him again, taking his tail in her mouth, a gentle tugging, playful motion to her actions. Her on tail swished slowly as she grip on his remain, her eyes blinking once, twice as she offered him a smile, even despite her gentle tugging.
No words were exchange, and it must've been quite a sight for anyone to see; the small blue hued goddess tugging at what might've been seen as death incarnated, specialy noting how her size was easily merely half his, if not less. She didn't mind though; her mind was irrational after all. She liked it that way.

Misae - The Miracle of Life Nuxaz [This is set a bit before they find out that Nyek is dead, this is open to the members of the Oasis pride if they would like to join, if not then its really only Malika and her cubs, and I think I covered it all] Taking a walk this morning had been a bad idea for the pale lioness Malika'esui. As she reached the pool of spring water she had to stop, the pain her womb was causing her was making it hard for her to go on any father. Managing just to get the the edge of the pool she lapped up some water hoping it would help her a little.
The water helped the female, but only slightly, fresh pain surged through her as she took deep breaths. This could only mean one thing to the female, her cubs were on their way. Laying down on her side since her belly was so swollen it was nearly impossible for her to sleep on her stomach.
Closing her eyes she focused on something besides the pain, on the happiness she would feel when all the cubs were born and by herside. That made everything much easier on the young lioness.
Pushing she winced at the pain as one of the cubs made her way out of her mothers womb-- The end

Tsi'hilu - Mirague Nerpin This definitally wasn't the savannah anymore. Having taken flight from where he had last been since he was only a quip of a kitten, Jamala had decided to just follow instinct, and his heart (which sometimes proved to be a terribly annoying thing) - Mala had found himself in such different territory.
Taking a few more pawsteps into the new area, his nose quivvered softly as he took in all the new smells, whilst ears caught the unique and different sounds. Being such a new god to this strange world, he had decided since he first step paw on ground that he would find every area and memorize, for he knew he would be here a long, long time - and wanted to know those who graced his area of diety-hood.
But first he had to find civilization - that would be good. Dark Fire Angel ((I'm going to asume the god's no longer a juve, but an ado XD feel free to correct me))
Civilisation was not to be found though. At least not in the way the god probably wanted to; instead only one small lioness could be seen from afar, her white pelt shinning against the background, making her almost imposible to be missed. Her green hued eyes were focussed upon a near distance, where herds were gracing peacefully, and though she was alone, she seemed not to be sad; quite the contrary, the petite lioness seemed rather content where she was, gazing upon those she knew would feed her in the future. Those she knew her body would feed once it turned to grass in return.
It was only after much gazing that Tsi'hilu's ears finally twitched, focussing itself upon a diferent distance, and slowly, her gaze was dragged away from the herds, spotting a dark hued figure upon the distance. It wasn't the pelt that made her head tilt, but rather, the wings that seemed to adorn the pelt, bright and shimmering against it. For a few moments, the petite huntress thought them to be an illusion, but as the figure came nearer, she knew that her eyes were not decieving her; her culture spoke of spirits - creatures that manifested themselves from the elements, the trees, the clouds...
Maybe, she thought, this was a spirit.
She wasn't sure, and there was no other way for her to find out than by asking it; of course, however, the thought of comunication with such a creature, was slightly disturbing in a way. She did not wish to alter the balance of nature by talking to it, if it did not want to talk. Thus she decided to wait instead; waiting, she knew she was good at. Waiting was something she could do, and as the figure padded nearer, the lioness merely offered it a smile.
One gesture, she hoped, that the creature could read in some way or another. After all, she'd always believed that gestures spoke out more than words; the thought allowed her to close her eyes and purr faintly, only slightly, a sound that had vanished by the time Jamala got nearer, surely.

Oth & Enok - What do Hyenas taste like? Dark Fire Angel It was getting late.
He knew that...
There was nothing he could do about it though, and as the male narrowed his eyes, squinting against the dense foliague, he cursed the fact he could not reorder time, space and climate to his liking. Sometimes, just sometimes, Othieno wished he could pause his hectic life and think about what he was doing, but as of late, there was no time. Moving from here to there, roaming, roaming, roaming... there was no rest, and all the places they visited seemed to cry out in diferent ways
Looking off to his side, the hyena flicked his black tail, "Oi, Enok..." a hind paw reached out to kick the larger mass of brown furr that was snorring loudly beside him, "Yer gonna scare away the hunt, mate! Those snore sound almost like roars!" the tone used was nothing short of afectionate, as if he were talking to family, more amused than agriviated by the sholw procedure.
The large lump in question, whom in fact happened to be a male lion, uncurled from his position, mumbling something underneath his breath before he peeked one eye golden open, "I'm up, I'm up..." the words were slurred by sleep as the large frame moved and stretched. Despite still not being an adult, the male was bulky, his movements however, rather soft, almot as if he feared breaking something with his movement. In fact, he paused slightly as he paw almost came down upon a flower once he stood up, slowly redirecting the paw to land to the side of the delicate petals, "It's not like I'm gonna scare much away anyhow... we've been here two days and we've not seen a soul, prey excluded," finaly sitting down, he set about to grooming his mane into place, purring as he tended to himself.
"That's no reason to scare da lovely birds away! Specialy the pretty ones!" the hyena held up a paw and began to lightly hum to himself, "It's gettin' dark too, ain't it? 'Bout time we got some food eh, Enok?" a muffled grumble was all the answer the hyena got from his companion. Obvious the lion didn't quite feel like it just yet, the Othieno finaly rolled his eyes, "Come now, we can't just sit here in this jungle all day as if it's suddenly going to split and reveal some bleedin' secret, can we? We should leave."
"It's a better place than that drying jungle you lead us to; This one's alive, and has pretty birds, as you mentioned."
A pause followed before the hyena arched a brow, "Touché..." looking away he attempted to figure out what time of day it was by what little light filtrated itself through the canapy, "I still think we should leave; can't get too attatched to someplace that's not home, yah know?"
"What home? We don't have any..."
"Precisely my point! So let's go hunt!"
Again the lion mumbled, then flopped his large bulk on the ground, placing his head over his paws before closing his eyes.
"Please don't tell me you're gonna go ta sleep again!" a pause as Oth waitied for a reply, "Enok?" Silence greeted the question, "Hey... Enok?" again the hyena kicked his companion with a hind leg, but this time there was no reaction to it, despite the canine knowing his larger friend was wide awake, "Yes, let's just sleep the day away, marvellous idea; why couldn't I have found a pretty girl to run off with instead of you? At least then sleeping would be quite the activity!"
Kisoni Heedless of the time of day or night, or whatever the heavens had decided to do this time, a short distance away from them a little spot of purple played. Well, most would call it playing; she knew that what she did was of vast importance to everyone--they just didn't know it! She thought she had beaten back her great foe this morning only to have him double his efforts and spring upon her that afternoon. Oh how tricky he was, the dasterly King Ivy!
Izulu growled at her foe, eyes narrowing at a stereotypical villians monologue that only she could hear. Her mane and tail puffed a little, deeply angered at his presumptuous tone as the birds watched about her, somewhat amused and scared at once at the strange littly hyena. of course, they'd seen ehr out here before. Unlike most members of her Pride, Izulu loved slipping out into the junble beyond the borders.. and it wasn't as if it were off limits, anyway, so long as she didn't bring anyone back with her. But rules were the least of the things on her mind right now, only the safety of her family concerned her.
The evil Ivy stood proud and straight on the tree it'd wrapped itself about, leaves waving in a mocking manner at the lightning marked hyena. Her growls went unheeded as the monologue continued. A small bark heralded her ended patience, "SILENCE FOUL DEMON LORD!" She roared, leaping forward the claw at the plant and rip it from the hapless tree. A great battle then insued, much to the delight of her avian audience. Snarling and snapping at the plant, Izulu soon found herself wrestled to the ground, paws tangled in the fines of the plant as she chewed on its leaves and attempted to worm herself free. "You will not defeat me! -- The end

Ushaufu - Not Meant to Be Dark Fire Angel Yes.
No.
... Yes.
Then again... maybe not.
If there was something Ushaufu hated, it was feeling torn; he hated it even over being confused, he'd decided. Long past was the time he'd felt confused; instead now he simply felt torn and undecided. It showed in the way the god moved, first a few steps to the right, then turning square to the left and padding a few steps that way before promptly repeating the process. It was nerve recking for him, and he knew he had to make his mind up sooner or later, but... his mind really wasn't up to complying at the moment.
Right, left... yes, no.
... Damn
Frustrating as it was, even someone like Ushaufu knew deep down what the right choice was; it was deciding if he should cower away from it and run as he'd been doing for what might've seemed like many moons was better than facing the problem. He knew he couldn't run away forever; it'd seemed like a good idea at girl, but by now... he wasn't entirely too sure of his own choices.
Restless as he felt, Deception took a moment to pause in his steps and sit down, his long tail flicking over the arid almost desertic lands. Thinking was his thing, he figured, yet he'd been doing entirely too much of that as of late, and it'd yet to help him in his little problem, thus as he sat, Ushaufu finally decided that perhaps it was time to stop thinking and start listening to his heart instead. His heart was quite clear in what it wanted and so the god stood up, turning to to the left instead of the right. His head was held low, his wings partially spread for all to see, used mostly as a parasol to keep the heat off his head.
There was, after all, only so much his partial mane could do to keep the sun at bay.
Much like the old days, his figure quite resembled death personified; however, much unlike the old days, he was large, finally grown, resembling more a large cougar than the lion he was. The locks of mane that fell unevenly, disarranged over his red eyes only adding to the over all effect. The green mass of hair moved along his spine too, jagged, a deathly color that matched the bones the creaked and cracked as his wings moved.
It was about time he stop running away from himself and... he fess up. Even if it meant getting slapped. Even if it meant being hated; he'd fess up and then leave if she so wished to. That way his conscience would finally let him sleep at night; sleep had been far and in between since he'd left after all, as evident by the bags that hang from his eyes. But then again, it'd been his own damned fault, he'd decided.
Not for falling in love, but for running away.
This thought firmly in mind, the large male moved towards the distant trees that grew far away in the background. It was dry and dead... but it was also home.Kisoni She'd left Mo'onasi in the forest with Kimaji. Trying to feel as though she wasn't being a neglectful parent, Kizuka padded along through the hills and furrows of billowing sand with a heavy heart. They could have gone to the tribe already, with how much time this was taken. She could have left her daughter with more protection than a broken Lioness who didn't have the will or strength to feed herself. Even the thought that Varg was watching them wasn't more than the smallest of comforts. Still, what else could she do? She certainly couldn't take the both of them out into this heat! No... if she was going to search for Ushuafu, it was becoming more and more apparant that she would have to go it alone... the best way to do it would be to go fast, and get back quickly.
Headed further out now from the tree she'd last seen Ushuafu under, Kizuka kept careful watch over where she was going. It wouldn't be hard to get lost, especially if the wind started blowing over her tracks. Not to mention that poisonous creatures were all about, and that was certainly a hassle that she didn't need to deal with right now. Of course, it would make perfect sense, wouldn't it? A jaded, bitter voice in the back of her mind couldn't help but snicker and mock at her. It bit at her ears and teased her eyes into stinging with hopeless tears.
It was happening again.
Kizuka stopped in her tracks just as the sun was beginning to set on the horizon. She closed her eyes against the pressure, and let herself get lost in thought as the heat began to seep quickly as it had come from the sand and rocks all about her. The tears were more important.. the knot was more important.
Oh yes, that horrible knot that clung to the pit of her stomach. It wasn't hunger, though it had something to do with it, nor was it thirst. It was everything and nothing at the same time. She wanted to sit down and cry, becase that would be that would be the only way to get it out... but the few tears she let drip down her muzzle only made it grow larger. The desperation and depression sunk deeper as it occurred to her that this lump would never go away. It had begun years ago, when her pride had been destroyed before her eyes. It had deepend when her sister had disappeared, never to be seen again. When she'd realized she was pregnant with a cub she didn't want, and the guilt of that feeling made it grow when she met the daughter she'd been 'sentanced' with.
Triv'an's departure had hardened the ball, and the memory of each day spent with Ushuafu now felt like a kick in the stomach. How long ago had she betrayed him? When had she fallen in love with a child? It made her want to retch, what she had done, and she knew it was the reason he had left. That she'd thought it'd be okay to make passes at him because he was near adulthood was the worst part of it all! And though Varg would say nothing, Kizuka knew he blamed her... rightly so.
Her daughter was living in a dying land, and now Kizuka had another dependant to look after. This would be her last trip into the deserts, because she could not afford another. She was giving up on him, and that feeling was the worst of all. But did she deserve to have him back?
A brush against her paw forced her eyes open and they widened at the sight of one of her biggest fears in the desert. A scorpion was walking right past her, brushing its hard shell against and through the fur of her paw as it did. One wrong move and she'd have its liquid death shooting through her system in a hearts beat. The Lioness gulped as that bitter voice laughed at the irony of something so big cowering from something so small.
Nothing happened, however. The scorpion passed without the slightest threat to her person, and Kizuka let out a deep sigh of relief. The sigh turned into a strangled sob. Biting her lip, the lioness sat down and squeezed her eyes shut once more. That was a sign, she knew, from the spirits. She was feeling sorry for herself and that had to stop! She would find Ushaufu, she would apologize, and she would bring him home.
She had to.
Rising, the lioness once more opened her eyes facing down into the desert sands. By the light of the moon that was rising above--blessedly full and clear this night--she suddenly saw something she hadn't noticed there before. .... there was a print. It was larger than her own paw when she compaired it, and it was headed towards the valley rather than towards it! A small spark of hope kindled in Kizuka's heart, as did a twinge of fear. Was this lion oasis or her...
She left his title off in her mind, instead moving to track the direction the paws went. It was a strange pattern, for they would sway from side to side. Occassionally the stracks stopped all together, then they would pick their dance back up. More and more this seemed to hold the sign of Ushaufu, constantly fighting with himself over where to go and what to do. Did he want to come home, then?
Kizuka let off a soft, sharp growl at herself. She was getting her hopes up; never a good idea! Instead, she bent herself back to reading the tracks. It was too cold to get a good sent from them, things like smell being less active in lower temperatures, but what she did scent was vaguely familiar. It was then that the wind brought her a sound.
The sickening cruching and popping was music to her ears, and Kizuka felt her heart soar. The lump didn't disapate, but she ignored it as she climbed her way over the next dune to see Ushuafu's back as he headed towards the distant trees of Umandem'funi.
Oh how she wanted to call out... but her heart was too strongly lodged in her throat.-- The end

Misae - Did I fall for Nothing? Nuxaz How long had it been since Malika'eusi left her children? The oldest of the litter of six lost count of the days, it seemed like forever since her mother had left them. However Zagaa'Tamanio was not going to let it get her or any of her sisters down. The assertive cub was going to do whatever it took to keep her family together. Having left the room of furs that she had spent much of her time before she could see, the green striped cub came upon the spring where she was given life to.
Coming up to the shores of the water Tama stared at her reflection and soon was lost in thought.
Perhaps I should call a family meeting to figure things out?
To figure out what we should do until she returns?
She -WILL- return....Right?
Many different thoughts swirled around in her head as she continued to stare at her rippled reflection.Dark Fire Angel Red hued eyes had remain focused upon the distant horizon, claws almost trying to sink into the rock the petite femme lay upon. Her tail, portraying the horrible sense of frustration she felt, swished lazily, from side to side upon the smooth surface.
It was then her eyes narrowed, almost barely, a hint really, however, the action was there as the cub turned her gaze away from the distance. Slowly, she allowed herself to close her eyes, head lowering to her paws; there was no need to worry about what was out there. No need to dream, and no need to think. She was stuck here, within a place that harbored no love for her, and no love for her sisters.
At time, she wasn't even entirely sure her sisters understood this; No love. Being born into a place, a region that had and showed no love... born from a family, and into one that harbored no love. She was small, yes, but she was not naive. Even at her young age, Misae had swiftly understood how the oasis worked and just what was expected of her. She, however, wished for none of it; they could fight within the damned place to chose a queen. She didn't want the role, nor the responsibility. She didn't want these lands, loveless, damned within her mind.
Her young age prevented her from having experience, or knowledge of how to deal with the present situation, but her heart told her as much as she needed to know; she'd been born from a father that did not love their mother, nor them. That's all she needed to know to understand she wanted to get away from this place. It was the rational part of her mind that kept her there however; if she left, she'd die, being far to young and small to set out on a journey that she'd survive.
Misae lay lost in her own thoughts till the sound of someone approaching the springs alerted her, and red eyes snapped open. Her sister, she whom Misae had always somewhat pondered to be older (if merely by seconds) approached, looking almost torn, and the petite white cub couldn't help but smile warmly, soothingly.
She had her own problems and thoughts, yes, but Zagaa had taken it upon herself to protect she and her sisters above all. She'd taken the responsibility of keeping them alive and well, and Misae knew there was only so much time left till her greens tripped sister would snap under the pressure, thus she'd taken it upon herelf to sooth her, and aid her whenever necessary. This seemed to be one of those time and thus the white cub mewled out at Zagaa, "Hmmm.... I still think you worry too much, sister..." it was a call to her as she moved her smaller body to the right, leaving some space for the larger cub to lay on, upon the rock, "At times.... just at times, I wish I had wings," her eyes closed then, still laying upon her arms, her claws having left long marks over the rock's surface, "Wings... so I could fly away from this place," a pause as her tail curled around her, one red eye opening to reveal something akin to sadness, anger, a bitter feeling deep within, "I don't like it here."

Mahuli - Cubs of Many colors Kisoni Days had gone by since he'd last seen the two females at the edge of the desert where they'd lain together. Ukata lowered his maw to a shallow stream, taking a few laps of the cool liquid against the heat of the day. Since the news had spread of Mufasa's death, Ukatazaji had kept his distance from the Pride Lands. It was closer than any other living land--if the desert could be counted as 'dead'--and thus he'd decided that stepping into its borders couldn't hurt. His wings were hidden, however, as were the jewels customarily decking his feet; for all intensive purposes, he looked just like any other lion, if a little on the dark side. Over head a flock of birds sqwaked, and Ukata's eyes rose to them. He followed their direction further inward and wondered, silently, what all the ruckus was about. In an instant later his ears laid flat and eyes cut to the side in a hopeless effort to see behind his person without actually turning. Ukata wasn't normally one to give thoughts to the ways of birds, or why they would bother doing anything. Something wasn't right here, and it felt almost like the air he'd left behind in the desert... without the truth of it. Unable to confirm this, he attempted to let the feeling roll off his white-dotted shoulders and headed further into the land. It was a bright day, cheery and happy like the Pride Lands was stereotyped for. In its own way it was soothing, but it wasn't like Denial was set to admit that. He wadded through the long, green and yellow grass towards a shady looking tree, thinking to rest there as he waited for Irrationality to make herself known. Chibi Sheepcat Closer... closer... wait, one was looking her way... closer... closer... AND POUNCE!
The small brown form leapt from her hiding spot towards the flock of sedentary birds, paws outstretched in an attempt to nab one of them before they took off. Unfortunately for the cub, the birds were far too experienced to fall at the hands of a young lion. The flock was in the air in a flash, squawking their warning to anyone nearby. Instead of the bird she had been hoping to catch, all Nsundu got was a few feathers and a cloud of dust. So much for that.
Sneezing, the cub stumbled backwards until the dust had cleared and she could see again. With one final sneeze and a shake, Nsundu paused to assess the damage. She hadn't managed to catch a bird, and it would just be her luck if the flock scared off any other potential prey that could be had. That severely limited her options. She could stay here and wait for the commotion she had caused to die down, or she could follow the birds in hopes of catching them unaware. With a disgruntled noise, the cub chose the latter of the two options, and set off in the direction of the cawing.
The grass was tall, and while it was helpful for hiding, it was very difficult to navigate through. Nsundu's leaping and bounding pace had served her well in the grass, but it made following the birds nearly impossible. Still, the cub persevered, bounding through the grass until a very large black figure came into view. Surprised, Nsundu's first instinct was to crouch low to the ground and stand as still as the grass itself, suddenly wary. Who was this strange black lion? Dark Fire Angel It was a nice change.
That had been Muhali's first thought as she closed her eyes and allowed the sun to bathe her figure; it was indeed a nice change to feel the soft, almost humid wind against her pelt as opposed to that scorching breeze from the dessert.
Still keeping her eyes closed, she allowed her claws to sink skillfully into the bark of the branch she was perched on, her nose wiggling as she took in the scents the wind carried. Her blue form was hidden partially concealed by the many branches and leaves around her, though after landing there, she'd subconsciously allowed her wings to vanish from view; all what remained of her jewellery, a single blue feather that hung from her left ear. She was barely paying attention to those she felt around her, far too happy with just enjoying those simple things Life offered.
It was then the birds flew up into the sky, some passing through the branches of the tree Irrationality had been resting upon, and as she turned to cling with her small front paws to the tree trunk itself, she smiled. She though the were beautiful, and the effect they'd had, moving heavenward, charming. That of course, brought her gaze down however, the thought that something must've startled them bringing her out of her reverie. Her inspection was rewarded when she saw the brown form hidden almost entirely within the dark grass (had Muhali not been up in the tree, she would've missed it) a few meters away from where Ukata waved in the stream.
Finally deciding It Was Time, the cub like goddess jumped from her tree branch, landing skillfully on the ground, innocent grace adorning her movements, "Hello..." it was a happy chirp that she offered at the cub, her own height not nearly as unsettling as Denial's; in fact, Muhali was barely larger than the cub herself, her pelt blue hued, adorned with numerous darker hued stripes, white splashed upon her under belly and maw, "Why do you hide?" her ice blue gaze shot over to Ukata, her smile still lingering, "He's big, but he's not Evil; if only just hard to understand," this said, and after offering the cub a reassuring smile, she padded over to the stream, increasing her speed till she was running. Then she jumped, pouncing from the shore in order to land upon the male god's back, her petite form climbing up till she reached his mane, "Did you know I was there?" her maw turning to seek his ear, her teeth nibbling on it carefully, a sign of warmth perhaps, but then again, she was used to offering love and warmth to all those she came upon, "Did you miss me?" a pause, her paw coming up to aid her maw, keeping his ear still.
It was odd how she did not mention the cub that lingered the tall grass, almost as if giving her time to decide if she wanted to flee, or join into the Game.
Life was a Game after all.

Ushaufu & Audilifu - Facing the Truth Kisoni It was a gorgeous night, but not for the stars that danced brightly above or the harmony of the cicadas in the grass. It wasn't even for the fact that this land was bright and green and living. No, the night was gorgeous for the fact that she could now see a future where there had once been blackness.
Certainly the feeling of fresh, cool grass under paw was a blessing as well--it had been so long since she had know this that the sensation was almost completely foreign now. And yet, the memory rushed back to her as soon as she'd stepped from Ushaufu's back onto the grasslands of a blossoming savannah. Where she was, the lioness wasn't certain, but she was with Ushaufu--her lover, how it was to think--and there was water and life and food. The thought of the last made her stomach grumble, for no matter how she'd longed to fill herself with the cool liquid, she hadn't. It would do no one good to flounder herself, no matter a voice that told her it was best to use such resources while she had them.
Instead, Kizuka had removed herself from the edge of the small watering hole and gone to rest upon a hill, under a grizzly baobab tree to wait for Ushaufu to return. He'd dropped her there with "orders" to rest until he returned with food. For once she'd been perfectly content to wait about while another did work, for in this case it made sense. Though it was a lionesses place to hunt for the males, she doubted her strength in this case. There really was only one way to get it back, of course.
Kizuka licked her paws languidly, taking time to work a little more on her appearance now that she had a chance. There was a small embarassment that he would come back to find her so wasted away, but she had done the best that should could. It simply wasn't practical to beat her own brow for a problem she had no way of solving. Yet... Kizuka shook her head. It was best not to think about it. Dark Fire Angel He was happy.
Actualy, no, take that back; he was content and acomplished, and for once in his life, he felt both proud and strangely enough... he felt he belonged. The feeling was foreign, but not unwelcomed, thought the god as he dragged the corpse of the the kill he'd managed to take down. Not everything new was threatening, as he'd found out only just recently; since a little while back, Deception was more open to things than he'd been as a cub, however, it'd not tainted his essense.
He was, and would always be Deception; it took patience and understanding to put up with him, and he still reeled in the fact this one lioness was able to do what many others had failed to in comparism. Only his sister and his adoptive brother, alongside Varg, had even been able to put up with him; in the case of his sister, she'd always overlapped his power, and in the case of his 'brother'... well, it'd been easily proved that Deception was very close to Denial within the past few months.
Keeping his wings tucked out of sight, Ushaufu moved his kill nearer to the spot he knew he'd left Kizuka at; it wouldn't pay off to have someone spot his wings, he figured, and besides... Deception was his game anyhow. He enjoyed hidding the fact he was a god; decieving others was an enoyable passtime.
His now larger bulk allowed him to move the corpse without mayor problem, and he soon enough reached the hill top his mate rested upon, "Hopefully this'll do for you, and will leave enough for the cub," obviously he knew Kimaji was no longer a cub, however... that lioness would always remain cub-like within his mind. Not only due to the way she acted and her ideals, but due to something else Ushaufu wasn't quite able to put his paw on. He'd later come to understand this as 'parenthood' of some sort; he'd since silently adopted the smaller lioness, to the point of keeping her sattisfied food-wise at the cost of him not eatting. No more of that however; he'd be able to huntand bring back food while Kizuka recovered.
Allowing himself to lay down by the smaller female, the god arched a brow, "So, you were telling me about another one; a sickly lioness. I'm interested," of course he was; he'd been keen to find out the gender of this 'new one' at first, secretly quite sattisfied it'd been a female, and thus no risk to his general ego, "If she's as sickly as all that, we could always bring her some back," he motioned towards the kill before setting his head over Kizuka's back, allowing her to eat.
Had be not been too ocupied with the idea of finaly being together with Kizuka, he'd have noticed the fact his wings were once more visible, despite him not having dropped his disguise at all.
Meanwhile, not far away, Audilifu HAD in fact noticed the reach of her powers were dimming as she neared a distant spot; despite the fact she'd been travelling for a while since she'd left Denial and Irrationality, she'd noticed that the tug of Deception had weakened to a general... equal-ness of sort. No longer did his powers overlap hers, but at the same time, hers no longer overlapped his; they seemed to cancel eachother out instead, "Well," she murmured the the clouds as she flew along, "This should be interesting, at least."
What she hadn't noticed was that she too, had grown in that short span of time; it was barely a noticeable change though. Her wings had become larger, the mane that fell over her eyes and along the back of her neck and the horn that protuded from her forehead longer... she'd, after all, not paused to stare at herself in the mirror of a pond.
Had she noticed though, Truth would have decided things would be only more interesting. This in mind, she allowed herself to land, her wings tucking themself over her back as she walked towards the hilltop; what she found there, once the moonlight was strong enough to allow the goddess to see, made her smile, "Told you so," the words were directed to the female that ate, as her brother rested by her side. The smile only widened as her brother's eyes snapped towards her.
"I didn't feel you nearby."
"I didn't overlap your realm."
There was a silent understand after these words and for the first time in his sister's presence, Ushaufu clsed his eyes and purred. The sound was probably not audiable to the pink lioness, but due to their position, it was clear Kizuka at least felt it.

Tsi'hilu - Light in Dark Dark Fire Angel Green hued eyes scanned the land endlessly as the lioness shifted her perch on the large boulder; her petite white hued form was easily visible from such a place, but this didn't seem to bother her in the least. Camoflage was only needed whence hunting, and right now wasn't the time to hunt, but rather, the time to observe. Like any good huntress, Tsi'hilu had taken to observing the territory around her in search for prey, even when her stomach was full; she'd found that when the moment came for hunting, it was always easier to follow the herds, or even straying prey, if one had been observing the lands hours before.
Her insistence on watching from a high up place not only gave her the advantage of regarding a far larger stretch of land than if she'd been observing from a ground level, but it put her prey at ease; A lioness that rested out in the open was no threat, for she showed no intentions of hunting. This allowed the prey to move freely, making it easier to observe their patterns and pin point the ones that were visibly slower, or posibly weaker than the rest.
Observation was the key to hunting, or so thought Tsi'hilu. Silent observation.
Of course, she'd always been good at both those things, since a very young age; observeing, and being silent, so thus the role of a huntress had come god-blessed for her. No more of that 'You'll probably grow up to become a leader, just like your mother!', which was in fact, greatly appreciated. Tsi'hilu had long since decided that she simply... was not meant to be a leader. Even despite having overcome grand part of her comunication problems since cub-hood, the young adult had noticed she still retained certain scarrs from the incidents. That aside, her personality simply did not mesh well with decision taking. She'd grown up to be somewhat a loner, and though she was glad she was once more part of a family, her mentality was diferent enough to make pridal decision taking hard for her at best.
That what she'd most missed since become astray from her familly was the feeling of 'belonging' and she was glad she was once more part of a group, even if wasn't that of her parents. At least it was her kin, and she'd come to adopt them as surrogate parents anyhow; her parents hadn't been much of parently figures anyways. They'd had their own problem, at least Tsi'hilu had seen, and thus the attention they gave her was not always the desired one at the time; still she loved them dearly, and she knew she always would... even if deep down she'd given up hope of finding alive. Deep down she knew they'd perished within the plague; or at least, that was the mentality she'd adopted. All she hoped was that where-ever they were, they were happy, even if in spirit.
Amusingly enough, she wasn't bitter about the plague istself however; it had been that same desease that swept over the land that had in fact, no doubt, aided to keep her alive; she was well aware of that. Not only had it provided her with plenty meat to grow stronger on in her early years of cubhood, but it had doubtlessly kept her safe too. Not only had it whiped out competition later on when hunting came into mind, but it had whiped out potential danger to her person in the form of rogues.
She wasn't grateful to it, but she wasn't bitter either. Tsi'hilu had long since learnt to accept life the way it was; an endless array of greys that merged themselves together. Nothing was black, and nothing was white either; things tended to be somewhat in the middle. Growing up with such ideals made it easier for her to accept life, and though she was usualy silent around most she knew, she was far from sad, or even unhappy; she simply understood and accepted.
It was in her nature to.
Her ears twitched then, her eyes wandering away from the spot she'd been regarding in order to gaze at a not-so-distant dark speck that seemed to be traveling the land her way. It was a lion, she decided, however not one from the sky clan; the pelt lacked tattos, and the way it moved was not one she recognised from her family. She did not move however, instead merely regarding the form silently before returning to her gaze to the peacfuly gracing herds in the distance.
After all, nothing was Black or White, but an array or greys. Not even the fact this lion's pelt was a dark color while hers was a pure white, tattos aside, seemed to stray the thought away from her mind. She'd grown up with it.Kisoni This country was interesting, the lion had long since decided. The golden hues of its existance seemed to carry on into eternity and it was impossible for such a marked figure as himself to hide amongst the foliage for none of this greenery was actually green! The irony of that, if it could be called such, was doubly amusing and Nyota found himself chuckling at that. His noise sparked the interest of a few prey-beasts nearby, but he ignored them and continued to be as obvious as he had been before. Eventually, they grew used to him, though they did not allow him to go completely unmarked, and went back to their day to day buisiness. After all, a Lion in the open was a lion that wasn't hungry. Indeed, such a lion could be counted as a friend for a short time, or so many prey-beasts had seemed to think in the end. He'd had quite a many good conversations with zebras and wilderbeasts along that notion, actually, and eaten one or two of them later on.
Another creature seemed to be in much the same way as he was that day, actually. He had spotted her early on, though he hadn't been sure of her gender from that distance. The unusually complex red markings upon her fur might have gone unnoticed as a few oranges and deeper sunset colours were tossed about on the landscape, but the brilliant white of her immaculatly kept coat certainly weren't to go without mark. Indeed, even if ones eyes were simply on the herds, one couldn't go without seeing what their eyes occassionally flickered towards. Even a lion out in the open was a lion that could sneak away, and they would want to make certain she was still where they could see her.
This dance of predator vs prey amused him, but it always had. The complex dance of lives, all circling around the same point but with different means to accomplish it. For the prey, this was to not get caught; for the predator, this was to catch the prey. Life appreciated its little games.
With all of this in mind, Nyota continued his approach without a falter. He knew he'd been spotted, for how could he not be? It wasn't as if he were attempting to hide his movement, and the prey reacted to him the same way as they did her. Of course, he could already tell the lioness was rather young, in build at least, and it was probable that she might have allowed this to slip her notice; probable, but not likely. As he grew closer, the oddness of this female was even more pronounced. Not only was the pattern of her fur more intricate than he'd seen on a creature previously, she also seemed to bear a great deal of objects hung about her body as some of the baboons liked to do their shaman. Interesting.
To simply lumber past her would be rude, the male decided after a time. But this was also a land he knew little of, for he'd never come this direction before in his travels. While he had no want of offending her, should this be a one of the places were strangers were not welcome or where formal greetings were required, he had little choice of it if he wished to speak with her. After all, a lone female would be easier to deal with had he the need of violence or similarly harsh reactions, and she could be a window into what lay further into these lands.
With such thoughts racing through his mind, Nyota opted to take pause beside the lioness's bolder. Though his steps stopped, and eyes wandered across the planes rather than up to her person, he did not sit. Finally, he looked up towards her and sought to catch her green orbs with his own. Slowly, the lion tipped his head forward but did not break the eye contact, "Good afternoon, miss," He offered her a charming smile and straightened. There wasn't a need to say much more, for who knew if she'd respond to even this? -- The end

Misae & Ushaufu - Nightmare Dark Fire Angel Night had fallen, and though the clouds marred the sky and blocked most of the stars, the moon managed to show itself every so often, projecting shadows along the ground.
Blood red eyes watched the scened displayed before them, silent, observing for long moments before she turned to look away; to her right somewhere, only a few minutes away, lay the oasis she had known as her home since her birth. To her left however.... lay something else. Misae knew that there was a whole world that stretched beyond the oasis, a full new world that she'd never seen and wished to belong to. It was clear to her by now that nor her mother, nor her father would ever return to that carcass of a place that she knew of as home.
It became clearer and clearer to her the more days that passed, and though she wished to stay with Zaga, and her other true sisters, she was scared of this place; it made her miserable, and the wind never helped. It whispered at her, and curled upon her pale pelt; it told her stories, and murmured of places it had been to. Misae longed to see such places, but something kept her rooted to the rock she had climbed up upon; it was the sense of belonging, and perhaps, the rational side of her mind, which told her it was suicide to leave the place whilst still young and inexperienced.
At the same time however, she felt that if she did not leave she'd also die; her soul would starve, and she'd become a walking carcass. she'd mirror the oasis; it still had a life, but had no longer a soul within it.
Closing her eyes, the cub allowed the wind to play with her pelt, allowing it to whisper into her mind. The stories it told her, always made her feel better after all. The wind was wise and old, if not a bit of a trickster, but she liked it anyhow.Dark Fire Angel Had it not been nighttime, Ushaufu would've have been relying as much on his sense of smell as he currently found himself to be doing; soaring up over the clouds, he usualy found it easier to spot the heards via eyesight, however, as it was, he had no real choice. Lately, he'd noticed that he'd been spending grand part of his waking time (and even part of that time that she should have been using for sleeping too) for hunting, and though the notion was slightly disturbing for a god that had been used to the luxury of lazyness, he'd not have had it any other way. Not only was he gaining muscle and experience from the hunts, but he was gaining so much more in other ways.
He'd been watching Kimaji grow up stronger, and Kizuka regain some of that spark that had captivated him so long ago, and though it was visible that the dead land they were living in had affected both of them (Kizuka more so than Kimaji), Ushaufu was glad he could help. Tired of running, and tired of merely watching, it was refreshing to be able to do things; actualy things, not just words, and the god reeled in the thought at he flew onward.
It was mostly due to the fact he'd been soaring, guided by his nose, that allowed him to first notice a certain scent; it was familliar; hauntingly so, and yet diferent in more ways than one. If Deception was pulled by a fault, it was no doubt curiosity for the unknown, and thus, the green hued lion drooped under the clouds, narrowing his eyes as he held himself in place unsteadily. The white spec upon the terrain, laying idly atop a rock, not far away, stood out against the darkness almost instantly, and it was finally then that the god could actualy place that scent.
Malika?
Yet... it wasn't. Not really. For one, even the distance couldn't have made the adult lioness look as small as this spec of a lion he could see. Then there was also the fact that though the scent was hauntingly familliar, it wasn't exactly that of his cub-hood friend either. It took a while for it to hit him - ah... but of course; last he'd seen Malika she'd been heavy with cubs, and Deception would have gambled without second thought that this lithe one was one of hers. Her scent told him that much, however, for the sake of it, he decided to merely watch her for a few moments.
The longer he watched, the more glaringly obvious it became that she was miserable, and though Deception was almost tempted to pull away and let the small cub wallow in her misery, something tugged him towards her. Sighing mostly to himself, the god finaly came to a decision however, and putting on his best facade, he swooped down just as the small cub was lowering herself from the rock, landing square before her, looming, glowing red eyes intimidating in the near darkness.
No words came from him at first as he extended his large raven black wings, the bones within them creaking, shifting horribly; the noise they made forcing a wince from the cub, "Poor little lost cub; you are like your mother, child," he smirked then, his wings flapping, creating a small storm of feathers around them, his voice hoarse, a growl, and as the cub shrunk back, red eyes wide with fear, the god laughed. It sounded hollow and devoid intention to him, but this was a child, whilst he was Deception; he was a master of the art, and the cub fell for it, gasping for breath as she pulled herself back against the rock, "Dead inside, Dead in life; all you need is to be dead outside now."

Misae - What have we Here? Kisoni The sun in the sky that day was beating down upon the pridelands, soaking into the fur and grass and wood and rock until the heat was almost a chill across ones skin. That was never a good thing, and so the lion found himself sprawled lazily under the little shade a scraggly tree offered, dozing with the sort of confidence most cats had about nothing dare messing with them. He stretched a little in his sleep, claws raking at the air for a moment as a groan vocalized how good the movement felt, and then he rolled over onto his other side and settled back into snoozing once more. It was a lazy day.
He had passed this way before many times in his travels, and while a good number of lions lived on this land--an extreame number, by most accounts--there never seemed to be hide nor hair of any other feline in sight or smell. Perhaps it was due to never fully traveling within the land, but always staying about the borders? Whatever it was, Nyota didn't much care at the moment for he had something far more interesting going on upstairs.
One of his paws moved, a sublte gesture perhaps indicating something being done in a dream as his ears flickered back and forth as if listening to someone speak. As the sun rose higher, these ticks became more and more apparant until finally Nyota'visima opened his eyes and gave a great yawn. It was too hot to sleep, now, but too hot to move as well. Predicaments predicaments... The male stretched again, then straightened his shoulders as he lifted his head to look about the stretch of the Savannah around him. He didn't see anything about of interest to watch, not even a herd of any sort.
Still, it was much too hot to leave what little comfort the shade offered. Thus, he eventually lowered his head once more upon his forepaws and let his eyes slide to invisible little slits and he watched the muted shapes of what was around him for any change. Dark Fire Angel Red eyes.
He'd had red eyes. And all Misae could still see were those red eyes; they were haunting, and she knew that every time she'd pause to try and sleep, she'd see those bright red eyes in her dreams. How long had it been? Days, at least; she knew that much. Maybe a couple of days at most. It sure as hell felt like more to the little pale cub however, and there was nothing she could do to keep herself from stumbling over her own paws suddenly, falling face first into the earth and grass.
Taking a long raged breath, the femme allowed herself to close her eyes, the scorching sun burning at her back, even as her pelt, white in color, kept her relatively safe. And still, all she could see were those red eyes, burning ablaze; it was strange however, for though he'd intimidated her and had pushed her into running away, she was quite sure she'd seen something else within those eyes. She'd seen a flash of something; love? Care? She wasn't sure, but it was that notion what had possibly scared her more.
Allowing herself to breathe in and then breathe out, the cub pulled herself on all four again; it was then she finally looked around for the first time in two days, and really saw. This was not the Desert anymore, and though it was hauntingly familiar to the oasis in a sense, it was also different in many other ways; this place had a soul, for one. She could see mice scurrying here and there and she could scent other creatures too; the notion that the nightmare-ish creature had been right caused the cub to draw in a sob, her frame quivering till she dragged it under the shade of a tree. It was against that tree that she finally allowed herself to cry, pushing her face against the cool bark.
Run, run away little cub! Run away from this place; scarred by blood and wounds, run till you find the meadows, little lost cub. run away and never return!
She'd run for two days, hardly ever stopping, and hardly ever noticing her own hunger, and she'd broken down there and then... her tears were not those of sadness however; they were tears of joy, for she could again feel the wind whispering at her; those eyes of his... he'd been right, and now she was free. Alone, but free to follow the whispers of the wind. She was grateful to him, and deep down she knew he knew; the black feather she'd been carrying in her maw was finally dropped to the ground beside her, her paw coming to secure it, least it blow away. The single feather had a strange scent, almost ethereal to it, and Misae had clung to it as she'd escaped, for reasons unknown even to her.

Ushaufu - The Princess and the Dragon Dark Fire Angel Life went on; or in the case of the jungle, it at least tried to move on. Ushaufu knew it was having a hard time at doing so, but alas, it was apparent that the will to live was strong. The branches offered resistance as he came came through them, landing upon the ground less than gracefully; sadly, though his huge wings were good for flight, they hindered his movements when within his 'home' land.
His mind was elsewhere however; specifically, on that small cub he'd been been watching for several days. She was well out of the desert by now, he was sure of that. In fact, he'd made sure of that, in his own way, but still, the way that cub had acted, had looked at him, bothered Deception. It was probably her eyes, he thought idly as he pawed at the earth, the sound somewhat comforting him as he pondered, for after all, movement had always helped him think.
Those liquid red eyes, and those words; I hear the wind, and it's whispers.
The god's own red eyes narrowed down as he glanced sideways, his protruding fangs making his scowl look grim for a moment before he allowed himself to sigh. It was no good just thinking though; he had to get back to Kizuka, whom would doubtlessly have many questions for him, along the lines of 'where the HELL have YOU been the last few days?' or perhaps something even worse. Him leaving had been a selfish reaction, but he knew his mate would understand once he told her about his little expedition with the small cub he'd met near the Oasis. Kizuka always understood, and forgave.
And thus, this in mind, Ushaufu stood and moved himself through the trees, never bothering to hide his wings, for after all, whom was there within mistweaver territory to see but his mate, whom already knew, and his adoptive daughter, whom would probably brush it off as dream of sorts? TormentedAngie Who was in the Mistweaver territory? Why, the Princess, of course. She was stalking through the trees, tail flicking from side to side. She wasn't agitated, but curious, however. Still fairly new to the area, she found every opportunity she could to wander out and explore what she could. To find out more about her home than what she was able to hear second-paw from others.
Her conversation with Kizuka had gone well, and weighed easily on her mind. Another who remembered her from long ago, a time she didn't remember. With former members slowly coming home, perhaps there was hope for the pride yet. If they could get the rains to come home as well... Well, they just had to, that's all there was to it.
Her footfalls were not muffled by the dryness under her paws, but Masika did her best to try and be as quiet as possible. There was no telling who, or what you could run into in a place like this, all alone. It certainly wouldn't do if she got herself in trouble, all things considered. No, she was being careful, but even the most carefully laid plans of how to avoid confrontation didn't always work. It wasn't but a moment or two before she would come into full view of Ushu, more than likely.

Mahuli - Shadow within me Quote: It was dark; she didn't truthfuly mind it however. Night or daytime, what did it matter right now, she thought as languid blue eyes surveyed the savana. Dark or light, was there any real diference? Swift and slow, love or hate. It was all the same, if one thought about it, wasn't it?
She tried to convince herself that it didn't matter, that it was nature's way, life's law. But no matter how many times she denied her own responsibility, she could not seem to force it away; that darkness curled around her, clutched at her, and she was tired of it. It wasn't always darkness, granted, that tugged at her... and it wasn't truly her fault. Not entirely, but it didn't matter. She's whispered and she'd been listened too; true, it'd been a whisper, and they could have ignored it, but they'd chosen to listen instead.
Irrationality was bothered.
She'd not been bothered in a very long time, but the way her maw was set in a grim line as she stood and stalked through the grass was enough to set the random nocturnal rodents into a run. Her claws dug mercilessly into the humid earth; it'd rained earlier, she thought idly. She liked it when it rained, and she found herself hoping it'd rain again, almost in hopes it'd wash away her thoughts.
Muhali was still in denial about them after all, however, she could not ignore the small droplets of blood that clung to her brilliant blue pelt, nor could she deny the way they left a light trail as she walked. She could not deny those things, for she did not belong in such a realm; she acknowledged them as true, and thus why she was bothered. It wasn't her own blood, really, but in a sense it was almost hers; it had been her responsibility, and she'd not enjoyed it. Bipolar, she thought was she padded onward, her form moving with feline grace through the tall grass till she reached a cliff. She was bipolar.
Or rather, her powers were bipolar.
They upset her.
Sitting herself down upon the cliff's edge, she stared at the darkness below her; there was water there. She knew that. She could hear her, but the sounds of the waves crashing against the rocks below were of no help. They were not soothing, but adding to her mood; she scowled at the ground about her, her claws retracting from the humid soil before her gaze turned heavenward. It was a sick joke, wasn't it? Someone was probably having fun at her expense. The mere thought was irrational and perhaps a bit morbid in it's own way. however, the lioness could think of nothing else to do or say and instead she opened her maw and roared; the roar was long, angry. It washed off the feelings of guilt as she increased it's volume; once out of breath, the goddess roared again, longer still, louder, harsher.
It was then the heavens thundered back at her, he rain finaly falling to soak her form, and the roar died down. Kisoni To never be scared of anything was a wonderful thing, Ukata had decided at a rather young age. Of course, he was still rather young so that could be why. Whether this was his first or second, or bajillionth lifetime, Ukatazaji couldn't remember. Likely, it was there somewhere but he'd long since denied it.. just as he'd denied growing up or getting older in this one. Being a cub was MUCH more fun! In fact, it was entirely possible that he'd simply killed himself in earlier lifetimes to keep from growing up, until he'd figured out the part about denying it--the mind was truly a magnificent organ. Tonight, he wasn't being scared of the thunder and rain. Unlike most cubs which would be cowering under their mum's belly in some warm, cozy den, the Cub of Denial was outside dancing in the rain. He also denied that he wanted a mum whos belly he could huddle under. Of course, a part of being so old and lost in ones own realm was that he honestly couldn't remember whom is mother really was. Instead, he died his own inability in that area and imagined one for himself--she was simply lost, that was all. And the rain was fun, the tiny black cub had decided. He laughed as he ran through the long, wet emerald stalks and rolled down the hills when he felt like. His fur was soaked through, and he should have been cold--of course, he probably was. That didn't bother him, however, for nothing ever did. Slowly the grass began to give way to more rock and stone and a strange blue form at the top of the cliff. Was it blue? It was hard to tell in the beating rain, but Ukata thought that it was. A grin broke across the cubs maw when he saw the feathers spreading from the creatures back, for that was no bird laying sprawled at the cliff's edge. It was a Goddess, he knew it as surely as his own wings were tucked against his side, even though he'd not met one before this. Joy rose in his heart, even as he pushed an errant thought further back into his black hole of denial. It had been years, and lifetimes but he had found her! Bounding towards the blue form, not minding the slick grass underfoot, he skidded to a halt at her side, tumbling to run straight into it. The impact didn't bother him, and instead he nuzzled and rubbed himself into her fur, "Mother!" For surely, it must be. -- The end
