I think we should have a tournement of benders each bender who wants to test their strength make friends and find new rivals.

KogaP, that idea has already been made. heart A nice person already pmed me the thought and I shot it down because we don't have enough members to make it worth while yet. heart

But the[LB]-4 means?

[LB]-4 is your rank. It is how powerful your character is. Your '[Rank]-Level' shows, in a simplistic + speedy way, your character's bending skill.

'[LB]' is your blunt rank. LB also stands for Lower Bender. It tells the person that you are the rank just above beginner (Starting Bender), and below the rank that is the half way point on the scale of power (Middle Bender).

And that '4' says that you are just barely a Lower Bender. It also means that you are weaker than a level 5, but stronger than a level 3.

If I wanted to advance to [MB] I would have to go and fight 3 other benders of different types?

In order to reach the 8th technique level, '[MB]-8', you need to:

1). do 50 posts of pure training
2). fight three other benders of the other three nations
3). and those three fights have to last longer than 15 posts.

Ok... I know this is gonna make me look really stupid...

Where can I find the requirements to rank up? I know. I know. Its a simple question that I should know. And I coulda sworn that I've seen the level up requirements thread before.... Maybe I need to get some sleep... or actually take my contacts out... sweatdrop

It is in this monster of a thread. Just crtl+f 'Benders- Technique Levels', and it's in that post.

I was wondering, can you just jump into an ongoing roleplay if you're new? On a lot fo boards that's considered rude, but for me right now it seems like there's no other choice (my character is stationed at the Northern Water Tribe)? Or am I just majorly confused? xD

My advice would be to just to PM a person from the roleplay, and get their permission. Everyone here is pretty dang nice and probably will never say no to another roleplayer. heart So don't be afraid and jump in as soon as possible, kay?

Sorry for another question, but how does one level up if they aren't going to fight? I ask this because my character, Tui, wants to be a healer, and in order to be a healer, you don't necessarily have to be able to hold your own in a fight. But in order for my character to rank up (later in the ranks, I mean), I have to defeat three other benders in battle. How wouldI do this, when my character isn't a fighter? ;_;

Sorry if that doesn't make much sense. xD

Quote:
Requires bender to have trained for 50 posts to reach this level. Slightly increased speed/endurance. Has beaten three other benders of all opposite elements and each battle taking more than 15 posts. (Example of fighting every element: An earthbender has beaten an airbender, a firebender, and a waterbender. All of which are totalled at 45 posts when added together, post wise. ) Firebenders master breathing and are now able to begin to learn how to use lightning from another RPC of a superior level. Slightly increased speed/endurance.

I never pointed out HOW you battle. However it does require the usage of bending, healing or otherwise, against three separate bending opponents.

.. Does that make sense? heart

Hello, Humbra, guild-master, [yes, I love words x3]
erm, don't know if it has been asked before or not...... [because, I really don't want to check.......]

but, what exactally happens in the tournment?
Because I'm scared to join do to the fact that I've had *no* training and my character's butt is going to be whipped if I have to fight. Dx
