A). Roleplay picking up a scroll. Imitate the kata on the scroll, and your skills will increase. You can do this either in the Burnt Wastes thread, or in the "Fire Nation~ Shizu'Agara" thread in the Fire Nation sub forum. Or you could RP it in the next Fire Nation thread I create sweatdrop . Make sure to be detailed with the hand movements, if you follow this route.

B). Find a fire bender that is above your skill to teach you. Look at the Fire Nation RPC thread, and see if anyone fits that profile... This option would be kind of hard since I'm the only one right now who is above your level, obviously.

A few questions:

1) Seeing as this roleplay is set three generations after the series, what steps have you taken to backstory? What happened over the past and where is the world culturally and politically speaking? Have their been any significant scientific advances? What are the current relations between nations? Basically: backstory?

2) I noticed that in the application form the lowest rank is a starting bender or some such. Does this mean that ONLY bender characters will be allowed in the roleplay? What about non-benders?

And...I think that's all for now.

1). I). I've posted the background information. Did I miss anything? sweatdrop
II). After Aang sets the balance 'back into shape', the world has been rather stable. No huge civil wars, no huge revolutions, or any massive armies destroying the planet's balance.
III). Scientific advances have been nill. Same technology as the current Avatar series, basically, with some of the inventions from the "Northern Air Temple" episode being used around the world.
IV). All nations are rather peaceful, even though the current avatar is a firebender. I can only wonder how long the peace will last, since a firebending avatar will probably cause some renewal of old rivalries.

2). Hmm. Alright. I'm going to edit that right now. Sorry, I completely forgot about non-benders.

Depending on what bender you are and where you start really. Most don't really have many places to RP. So, pick the place with the most people in it, i guess.

Can you travel to other nations?

If so is there some kind of thread area that acts as inbetween the nations to post in to travel there? Also can anyone find me a map for the nation?

And I think that is it.

1). You may travel to other nations. Don't make a habit of it, though, since I'd like some continuity amongst where benders are normally at.

2). No inbetween thread. http://www.musogato.com/avatar/calligraphy.html has a map. It, the link, also has a nice description of what the map actually means. ;

Yo, I have a question concerning waterbenders, but first, lets get some information, of why i'm asking these questions:

Lately, we have seen waterbenders able to bend plants, or morely the water in the plants, searching closer into wikipedia, i found that the swamp is in the Earth kingdom, also that waterbenders from the swamp did not know they're north and south cousins.

Now the Questions start:

1. Can waterbenders learn plantbending(when they've reached a high enough level)

2. If so, where do they learn it? Will it be in the water tribe sub-forum, or a thread in the earthkingdom sub-forum(as that is where the swamp has been found)

3. Do waterbenders know about they're swampy cousins? Even after three generations. Did sokka and Katara tell the north and south tribes about they're sub-tribes?

4. When is a bender considered a high, middle, etc. bender? Will the profiles be updated as the benders progress in power?

5. Will the Karmic alignment be changed because of actions benders/non-benders have taken?

That's all i can think of... sorry for being a wet blanket!

My answsers are in red.

Vladimir

1. Can waterbenders learn plantbending(when they've reached a high enough level) Yes.

2. If so, where do they learn it? Will it be in the water tribe sub-forum, or a thread in the earthkingdom sub-forum(as that is where the swamp has been found) Learning a style is not limited to a thread or subforum. You simply need a teacher to teach it to you. Note that a location with plants is a must.

3. Do waterbenders know about they're swampy cousins? Even after three generations. Did sokka and Katara tell the north and south tribes about they're sub-tribes? Yes, the three tribes know of each other. However, there has been no large alliances between the three tribes.

4. When is a bender considered a high, middle, etc. bender? Will the profiles be updated as the benders progress in power? The bender's profile will be updated as the bender upgrades in skill. With the act of going up a level, though, it's more up to me to decide. I normally ask myself three questions before leveling up someone:

1). Are they active?

2). Will they abuse their rank?

3). Have they studied their bending arts enough? Have they fought other benders? How skilled/adept are they? Can they actually fight with their mind? Tactics?

4). Do they know basic grammar? Can their opponents understand what they're saying?

5). Do they furfill the requirements of the rank below and the rank above their current level?

After reading some of the person's posts I'll simply post in the thread they are currently rping in to tell them that they have been promoted. Also, you should note that Middle Benders and above are restricted till more plot develops.

5. Will the Karmic alignment be changed because of actions benders/non-benders have taken? The karmic alignment will change only if there is a shift of how the character acts. If your character starts to eat babies your karmic alignment will show that. Or, if you save a damsel in distress from a drunk fighter, your alignment will also reflect that.

That's all i can think of... sorry for being a wet blanket! No worries.
