I can admire anyone with the willpower to stop smoking. You have to remember that he has been smoking since his early teens.

Oblivion Goddess I can admire anyone with the willpower to stop smoking. You have to remember that he has been smoking since his early teens. Yeah, even though I've never smoked (and never will), my Grandpa's smoked since he was eighteen, and it took him many years to quit. It's very hard.

I'm definitely worried. I'm so scared that one day he's going to get lung cancer and die...and then there will be no more Johnny or his movies! crying The thought is unbearable!

[HideTheRum] I'm definitely worried. I'm so scared that one day he's going to get lung cancer and die...and then there will be no more Johnny or his movies! crying The thought is unbearable! I thought about that as well-- it's a horrible thought indeed! D:
But I'm definitely very proud that he's cut down a lot, I doubt he'll quit completely because he also just seems to like his smokes period... ah well, it's his choice. =/

I don't think he smokes as much. And hey if he wants to, thats his decision. My dad has a good friend who smokes like a chimney. And he's been smoking since he was 12.

I heard once he had Lily Rose, he drastically cut down. But you know what? It's his choice. If he wants his kids to see him die in the next 15 years, that's his choice. I know it sounds horrible, but it's the truth.

I'm seriously worried about Johnny's health, but I understand why he hasn't been able to quit. My dad was an alcoholic for over 20 years, and he's barely been able to be completely sober this year. This isn't to say that he doesn't care about me and my family, but it's hard. It's like any of us decided to stop watching any and all Johnny movies, read about him, hear about him, and ignore him if he was a few feet away from him. It's nearly impossible. Also, Johnny never wanted to be famous, and he still doesn't like the fame. He wasn't planning on becoming this huge star, with so many people supporting him. So really, he didn't know. I think everyone should just lay off.

Jeez you people are makin me cry *sniffle* crying I don't want him to die. I worry about his health, but it's his choice. I've heard he cut back, and I know it sounds fan girly, but I feel crappy when I see him smoke. I don't want him to go early. He's almost 50 already. But i know it's hard to quit. I just hope for his kids sake, he tries to quit.

I recently read an interview (though I can't remember where, sorry!) where he said he'd finally quit compleatly. Even if he does still smoke, that really is his choice. Besides, we should all just be happy he doesn't smoke pot or shoot cocaine or something. confused

Mel-Bert There are many photos of Johnny smoking. I don't like smoking, and I'm sorta concerned for his health and how his children seeing him smoke will affect them. Anyone's thoughts on the matter? my brother smokes and i get really upset when he does it and i do get conserned for johnny. it would be terrible for an amazing actor such as himself to meet his demise smoking

I would have to say I am worried about him smoker even though it is his choice and there are people who have done worse or have been smoking longer them him and are still alive so maybe he will be one of the lucky ones and not die.
