There are many photos of Johnny smoking. I don't like smoking, and I'm sorta concerned for his health and how his children seeing him smoke will affect them. Anyone's thoughts on the matter?

I think if he wants to smoke let him smoke.
He obviously doesnt care about his chilcrens health if he smokes around them but he probrabley does what my dad did( go out to the garden and smoke out there) smile

I once read he does not want to smoke, and drastically cut-down. He says after so many years, he finally found out how pointless it is. I think that is what he had said. confused

well most of the time when you see some of the actors smoking in a movie is part of that character in which they are playing. Alot of actors or actresses, I'm sure don't smoke off camera. As for johnny depp he may have already stopped for both his sake and his children sake and i'm sure his wife is backing him up as well.

If it goes on any longer he could get cancer but he did cut back a bit i hurd.

I am conserned for him and anyone else who smokes or uses any other drugs or acholic drink. It isn't healthy. But Jonney's not stupid and I know he's aware of the risk. He doesn't go around saying "I'm so cool for smoking! Kiddies, if ya want fangirls like me, have a smoke!". I've never seen him put smoking in a positive light (ex: 'Inside the Actor's Studio' he said "I apologize for the poison I'm about to inhale" right before he started smoke during the interveiw.)
And, unlike other fathers, he actually seems to give a rat's a** about his kids, so I highly doubt that he's blowing smoke in their faces.

Apparently Johnny only rolls his own cigarrettes nowadays after he's decided to cut down. So whatever he's smoking, it certainly is much healthier than actual store bought cigarrettes which are crammed with hazardous chemicals and the whatnot. I think smoking is terrible but when you get addicted, I can understand that it's hard to pull away from something you are so attached to.

The thing I always think about when it comes to his smoking is, "How can he smoke and still look that attractive?" I mean part of the things smoking does to your health is affect your looks. I know between lighting and digital tweeking, people end up looking way better than they do naturally, but that doesn't quite explain this.
Will his smoking likely be deprimental to his health? Yeah. Should he quit, probably, but so should most cigarette/cigar smokers.

I thought he has stopped. If he has, that's one more celebrity to look as a role model, if you arent already, to get a goal done.

I just heard recently that Johnny is a pro-smoking activist and is fighting for smoker's rights in public places...
That's quite the turn off, indeed. rolleyes

well I dont think we need to be too concerned... Tons of people smoke and nothing happens to them... I witnessed that in my family.
