Squire Antisana of Pluto
Action:
Continue working.

It did not seem as though he'd be getting anywhere with convincing this Mauvian to vacate elsewhere to make both of them more comfortable. Inconsiderate creature. This was why he'd never been a cat person. They were so selfish. But whatever. It was fine. There were more important things to do than argue with a working Guardian. With a quiet huff, Antisana turned his attention to the two girls at his side, staring unblinkingly as he listened to their exchange.

By the time Eleonora turned to him, he was watching her with a steely sort of inquisitiveness. "Alcor went with the others," he stated blandly. "That is unexpected." He did not know the Senshi of Heat's twin particularly well. They had rarely directly interacted, but Eleonora had told him that Alcor wasn't particularly enthused with her senshi fate, and Antisana had been led to believe that she held a certain amount of fear toward it...

"I think things are progressing well enough here," he answered her, giving the laptop a little heft in his arms. "But will your sister be alright? I would not have imagined her wishing to separate from you."

Less so when he felt that first prickle of Chaos energy emanating from the alley beneath them. It made feasible sense that agents would be around this area pretty constantly, if they were using this bank for some purpose, but feeling it still made Antisana want to leave, as he had whenever he felt an agent's aura after having come across one particular fishy half-youma.

"Are we hidden?" He demanded quietly of Mirosnjha.

In the grand scheme of things, it probably didn't matter, because even if they were now, they weren't likely to be for much longer. A quick glance around told him that most of the group who'd initially stayed with the laptops were still choosing to do so now, but there was a whole 'nother group, Alcor included, who'd gone down to the street. A much more visible level, and the various adornments of senshi and knights wouldn't do much to hide them.

Antisana could almost reason that it might be better to drop from the roof, take the owner of that aura out as quickly and quietly as possible- surely it wouldn't be that hard, if caught by surprise?- and eliminate the potential of an agent spotting them and requesting aid be sent in.

It would be better. He didn't doubt it. ...Just not for him to do. Antisana was selfish. Antisana wanted the assurance of an easy retreat, if he needed it. Seemed less likely for that to happen if he went around seeking out agents to strangle every time one popped up on his senses.

Mauvian Mirosnjha (Cat Form)
Action:
Still working with laptops.

Hidden?

"Nnneeeeh..."

'Hidden' wasn't exactly the term Mirosnjha would use to describe a group of twenty or so people wearing very conspicuous costumes and trying to be sneaky in a public area. They were probably concealed enough from anyone who might be able to sense that they were near, but... "Well, you're hardly invisible, are ya?" The Mauvian retorted back with a shrug.

So, of course there were some dangers in that, but surely no one had come here expecting a mission that would only be smooth sailing, with no elements of surprise or danger or combat? Miros didn't like it, but that's how the world was!

He shifted his weight forward on his paws, bracing himself against the edge of the laptop while his whiskers twitched and his tail flicked, as if trying to peer more fully over the edge of the building. But honestly, there wasn't much he could see from this vantage point, and there was no reason to strain himself. His task was here. They'd divided themselves up for a reason. It seemed like a bad plan to deviate from what he was supposed to be doing!

It's not like he was in any kind of shape to fight.

"I get your concern," he told Antisana. "But just be alert, and try not to worry too much. There's a whole team on the ground who can probably feel it just as good as we can, and they're in more of a position to do something about it." And already in more danger being so close to the bank, besides. "We'll hang tight, and see what the other group says. Maybe they'll be in and out quick, anyway, and we wouldn't want to cause a scene and draw more enemies."

The girl, though... Miros' big blue eyes looked to her, ears twitching. "Your sister went on down, though, huh? Hopefully she senses the problem too..."

Belmont, Squire of Jupiter
Following the Aura

There seemed to be a number of people already planning to stay with the laptops, so after a moment of consideration, Belmont nodded. He might have been of use on the computers, but if the Negaverse was alerted that something was going on, they were going to lose whatever advantage they had.

This was too important of a mission to let things go wrong so early on.

There might have been a few people looking to investigate the aura but better safe than sorry. If they finished quickly, they could see if anyone still needed their help on the computers.

“Well, I don’t want you to get into any trouble by yourself.” He pushed his computer next to someone who was still working; if something went wrong, he wanted to make sure that the team could evacuate quickly and not leave behind evidence. He stood and brushed himself off before extending his hand to hers to help her up. “Let’s go get this taken care of quickly.”

Meninx, Squire of Mars
Let them film? But also hurry them along? (He is fine with either option but wants to do whatever gets them on their way fastest)

Meninx didn’t lower his device, but he also wasn’t particularly passionate about getting involved with their video. He’d have rather tried to chase them away–especially with the Negaverse signature so close.

“Just because they finish recording doesn’t mean they might leave,” he cautioned. Though he was mostly speaking to Connie, he let his voice carry enough to let his opinion be heard for the group. He was a lawyer, his voice should carry. He should sound confident, he should be persuasive.

This wasn’t the law. And he wasn’t a lawyer right now. He was Meninx, Squire of Mars.

He was allowed to be different from what everyone usually expected of him.

...And yet, it felt impossible to break the mold.

He had a hard time saying no to the Chronos Knight who was looking at him with those big eyes, and sighed. “What if–I mean, if someone wants to volunteer to help them, I won’t argue. I don’t know how long we have before the Negaverse starts showing up, so we should do whatever we can to get them out of here quickly. There’s an outdoor art installation a few blocks away, that has to be a better backdrop than this place. Maybe if we help them finish up here we can send them down that way. I don’t know if we have enough time to explain that things are going to get dangerous out here.”

And the less anyone saw of them, the better. He didn’t want to be blamed for anything bad that might happen here. Especially given the Negaverse’s ability to spin any falsehood.

Super Sailor Perdita, Senshi of Plenty
Choice: Offer to help them film.

Perdita was momentarily frozen with indecision.

None of their options seemed to be good options. They could shoo the girls along, but what if they didn’t leave? Girls their age were judgemental and obstinate. They’d probably laugh and say something cruel, then go right back to trying to film on their own. So then were they supposed to make them leave by force? What would that do to their reputation? The Negaverse was going to try to tarnish them either way.

But if they helped, they ran the risk of the girls sticking around for too long. There might also be the possibility that they weren’t even civilians, but Negaverse agents playing a role, keeping an eye on things under the guise of filming TikToks. It was a weird place to film, after all, even if the lighting was decent where they were. They could find better backdrops elsewhere in the city.

“I can help them,” she offered. “I film TikToks for—” She couldn’t exactly confess to what she did for a living, lest she reveal too much about herself to people who might not be as circumspect as she was. “I mean… I have experience with it, so…”

When in doubt, Perdita liked to ask herself, What would Oberon do?

She was pretty sure he would have fun with it.

“We can do it fast and then I can lead them somewhere else.”

Super Sailor Eleonora
Action: Stick with the task since the girls below seem like the more immediate danger. Remaining alert to protect Miro if someone approaches.
Super Sailor Alcor
Action: Talking with her sister through the earring advising her not to go after the aura while erroring on the side of getting these girls to leave.

“She’ll be fine,” Eleonora tapped the frosted cuff that hugged the edge of her ear. “We’re still in communication through this.”

Trouble’s brewing, there’s an aura nearby and by the sounds of it there are a few that are looking at chasing them down. There was a lengthy pause of silence and for a moment she thought that the item wasn’t working because of the devices but then she ‘heard’ her sister's thoughts filter through.

Sorry, we have a bit of a situation down here as well. There are two civilians trying to make a video and I’m not quite sure what the rest of the group is planning to do with them. Please don’t go running off, I can’t follow after you if you do. On one hand by not pursuing the agent, it left them open to an ambush if they’re able to signal for help. On the other hand, however, there was safety in numbers. I don’t want you getting caught away from the group. They’ve already proven that they’re willing to force corrupt any and everyone, I don’t want them to get ahold of you or torture you for information.

Eleonora felt a chill run up her spine at the thought of what would happen if any of them were caught. Good point. I’ll leave you to your mess down there, let me know if the situation changes.

“My sister advises we stay put.” Let whoever is out there bring the fight to them instead of trickling out there single-file into a trap. “Don’t worry, I’ll do what I can to protect you if they come this way instead.” It took a fair amount of effort for Eleonora to stay her hand, to not kneel down beside Miro and give him reassuring scritches. Maybe after all this was over she’d treat him to something nice for all the hard work he was putting in.

Alcor released a sigh of relief when Perdita stepped forward as a mediator, a momentary distraction for the girls to divert their attention away from the rest of the group or the devices they were currently working with.

Seemed a shame that it was the younger ones in the group that were stepping up when the situation looked to be taking a turn for the worst. Unfortunately, as it often was with Alcor, she was no leader and had no business offering advice to anyone but her sister and even she errored on the side of defiance most times.

Squire Amsvartnir of Cosmos
Action: staying with the laptops

He really did not like the aura flaring up behind them, but there were already people heading to investigate, so he stayed with the laptops. Despite the senshi beside him clearly being far more unapproachable than he'd thought.
PostPosted: Fri May 19, 2023 5:14 pm

Osiris, Targovishte, and Belmont chose to investigate the aura.

It wasn’t hard to find the source of it. The moment they leapt from the roof, they saw him. It was obvious that he was a General from the way his cape fluttered out behind him. He had pale hair, and piercing eyes that flicked from the group below to the pale light of the laptops flickering from up above.

He vanished.

He left his personal youma to hold off the group in the alleyway. The three headed wolf looked at Theeach of them. The left head barked, like it was a command.

It snarled and charged.

Would they fight? or try to lead it away?

---

Spei, Chaldene,Cepheus, Hydor, Antisana, Mirosnjha, Amsvartnir, Vaylin, and and Eleonora
chose to continue working on the audio.

“Even in an emergency, is it really that helpful to turn every civilian in the building into a youma?” the second voice asked. “Isn’t Infiltration meant to be more about subtlety?” There was another pause, and the first voice replied, “Subtlety when it’s needed, and other approaches when they’re the best approach to the situation. We never know what connections civilians might have to the White Moon. They can’t squeak if they’re ours. It’ll be helpful for us, too.”

The last bit of audio was clearer, like the person had moved closer to the recording device. “If anyone starts to suspect us, we can set it off, say we got suspicious, and then there will be other issues to worry about.”

The aura vanished from below, and the sound of heavy boots on concrete announced the General’s presence among them on the rooftop.

“Hello, eavesdroppers,” he said, his voice clearly the same as the one in the recording.

Then he was swinging his sword at Spei.

Did they try to restrain him carefully? or push him off the roof?

Koeia, Connie, Meninx, Perdita, Sigiriya, and Alcor chose to help the girls film.

At the very least, they didn't try to shoo them off, and the girls took that as an invitation.

"Oh, did you see the invitation?" said one of the girls, the one who had been posing under the lights. Her smile was huge. "Your costumes are amazing, did you buy them or make them?"

The other girl, however, was frowning at the screen of her phone.

"Abby?" she said, looking up. "It's, like, glitching. I don't know what's going on?"

The devices are made to disable cameras, after all.

Did they try to get them away, past the reach of the devices? or did they offer to use their senshi phones, which seem unaffected?.

Super Sailor Perdita, Senshi of Plenty
Location: Below with the disruptor devices.
Choice: Try to get the girls away, past the reach of the devices

“Yeah, my phone’s got crap reception here,” Perdita said, seamlessly adopting the ruse.

They’d decided to help, and she had every intention of doing that. So far, it didn’t seem as if the girls were there for any nefarious purpose, unless they were very good actors.

Well, Perdita supposed she’d find out soon enough.

She passed off her disruptor device to anyone in her group who might be willing to hold onto it for her and drew a bit closer to the girls.

“I made my costume,” she lied. “It could probably do with some rhinestones, though. Or maybe that’d be a bit much with all the glitter. Did you want to try somewhere else? We’d probably get better signal a bit further away. One of my friends said there’s an art installation nearby that might make a cool backdrop.”

Deep inside, the bullied girl Perdita had been as a child cringed, assuming these girls were going to turn on her at any second, call her names or make fun of her. Maybe the Squire who’d mentioned the art installation would be annoyed with her for implying they were friends when they didn’t even know each other.

Oberon was so much better at this sort of stuff than she was.

Connie, Squire of Chronos
Choice: Device - Let them film! - Try to get the girls away

“You guys get phones??” Connie gasped with bright eyes at the Super Senshi (Perdita). Oh, wait, she knew that. But she was super impressed by how talented Perdita was. She made her own costume and everything? Wow!

“That’s so cool,” she sighed in awe, before turning back to smile up at the knight, Meninx. “Did you want to go with me and see them film their dance? I bet it’s really awesome. Maybe we could subscribe to your channel,” she suggested, beaming proudly at her fellow artists, even if they weren’t Senshi or Knights.

She would definitely be better at helping the girls film and cheer them on than figuring out how to work these devices.

Oh, wait, they were still trying to figure out how to stop the Negaverse from doing bad things. But helping these girls away from anything bad was a good thing too, right?

Page Sigiriya of Ida is trying to get them away, past the reach of the devices

Sig hesitated while some of the others just seemed to jump right into the ruse that the teens practically handed them. "Um just kind of borrowed parts from various family and friends," he said quietly when the girls asked about their 'costumes'. Honestly his really could have been family hand-downs... only in the physical sense. The idea of anyone in his family being a Knight was just.... not possible.

The young man spoke a bit louder when the lady in the checkered frock (Perdita), a senshi if he understood the uniform thing, mentioned signal. "Yeah, reception here stinks," he gave a rather non-committal shrug. "Honestly the brick background is pretty eh," a so-so hand gesture went along with his statement, "So maybe the art instillation would be more eye catching." Not that he really knew what he was talking about but hey, as long as it sounded right and worked, he didn't really care. Whatever it took to get the teens out of there. "Besides if it doesn't work for you I'm sure there are spots over there that have better reception then this spot."

Eternal Hydor, Senshi of Mesocyclones
Action: Supporting the shove off roof option and going for restraint if it fails

So this bank's get out of jail free card was just turning everyone in there into a youma and running away. That was ******** up. It would have certainly worked; if everyone was a youma, everyone was conscripted to their side and was likely fully indulgent of it. Augusta could pick up the pieces and open a new branch, perhaps even go for a pity celebration depending on what the news angled something like that as.

Hydor kept typing.

Well, until he felt an aura -- thanks to Faust, the aura was at least the same level as he was, now -- and he glanced to the side with a combination of exasperation and defeat. Of course there was a damn general there, and the squire who had decided to smalltalk him was already trying to shove him off the roof. Proactive, he'd give him that--

If it didn't work, Hydor was prepared to make it harder for the general to do much else while they perhaps tied him down. With ... something. He had a lot of extra ropes and sashes now he had no qualms about removing.

But his magic was also known for causing dizziness. Maybe he'd just fall.

Quote:
Super Sailor Attack: Hydor's Cyclone!
Hydor whirls a finger above his head and points it at an enemy. This enemy will find themselves entrapped in a mesocyclone. It's humid, rainy, and a bit chillier than it was. The pressure within the mesocyclone is rather low, resulting in the enemy feeling effects that people may feel associated with low pressure, especially after a rapid drop -- headaches, joint pain, and lowered blood pressure. The enemy can attempt to exit the cyclone, but the clouds around them rotate rapidly due to strong gusts, making it difficult to escape. Anyone else in a close radius near them will also find themselves trapped within the cyclone.
Uses: 2 uses per battle
Duration: 30 seconds
Range: 10ft radius

Squire Antisana of Pluto
Choice:
Prefers to restrain carefully.

Of course that aura would manifest on the rooftop to harass those who hadn't wanted anything to do with it. Even if all of their own auras could have been concealed by a single Mauvian, it would've taken someone particularly deaf and oblivious to not know there was more than just the group who'd sought out a fight. ...All of them should've stopped what they were doing the second they felt the general and gotten the drop on him before he could appear here and attack a squire without even so much as a blink.

And what were they supposed to do about it? An agent could flee in an instant, and if he got away, he could alert a pile of other Negaverse recruits, and then it wouldn't matter how concealed their auras were, they'd have a real fight, then, that would be much harder to get out of.

So, reasonably speaking, they could simply not allow him to leave. There were still almost a dozen senshi and knights on the rooftop. That should be more than enough to incapacitate one general. And while he was focusing on assaulting a Moon boy, someone else could knock him out. That would take teleportation off the table. It would really require just one swing- There was just a great flurry of other activity immediately surrounding the general.

Panic from other senshi, a surge forward, magic crackling the air. Antisana wouldn't force himself to get involved if there was no room for it, and there hadn't exactly been time to discuss their options.

Mauvian Mirosnjha (Cat Form)
Action:
okay, what the eff??? He doesn’t really have much choice except for to go along with whatever Antisana wants, being Miro is attached to him, and all. Why couldn’t one of the cute girls offer to take him instead? TnT He’s not built for tussling!

When that chaotic aura landed right in the midst of the rooftop group, Mirosnjha retreated his paws off of the laptop in Antisana's arms, and notched himself backward so that he was in full sploot, flattened as best he could into the squire's shoulder- and "as best he could" wasn't saying much, as Miros was quite a hefty, fluffy mass, but he still felt more secure with all four paws hooked solidly into Antisana's vest.

A group had gone down to 'handle' the general, but they must not have done a very good job of it, if he showed up right here!

Miros knew better than to attempt to do anything about it, himself. He was really only along for whatever Antisana decided to do, but if the Negaverse was already showing up, he'd prefer it if they went ahead and got out as quickly as possible. Agents had all kinds of ways to contact each other, and if this one was here, more were bound to show up lickity-split! If the Tech group intended to stay to make way for the other teams to finish their tasks, they definitely had to get this general out of the picture.

Like, nowish.

Anti seemed to be keeping a certain distance, though... Miros didn't blame him for that. Other senshi and knights had dived in as quickly as possible with their weapons and magic, and it'd be pretty problematic to get in the way and be hit with a stray spell meant for an enemy. But if they weren't, or couldn't help...

Miros' paws kneaded anxiously into the squire's collarbone, his ears pinned and body rigid as he held his balance. "Antisana, you gotta get me out of here. I think we've heard as much as we're gonna get from these recordings, and nabbing one kitty might start to look real tempting if a bunch more agents show up, and there's only a squire standing around to keep me away from them..."
