Hylonome Basic Corrupt of Edelweiss
MOOD: Experiencing elation that her magic works. ACTION: Wrestling with decisions, trying to whistle a tune
Well, in all seriousness, Hylonome hadn't been expecting what happened to her flower as it happened. The senshi (Surtur) had gently taken it from her hands and into his own before putting it to his lips. Instead of watching to see what happened directly afterwards the corrupt was trying to puzzle out what he had meant when he had mentioned that she "didn't belong to them," but that was absurd, wasn't it? Hadn't she always belonged to chaos?
Instead of giving herself a headache in the moment Hylonome glanced to the man (Kurma) that had been floating just out of range as he began to speak about things like "Cosmos & beacon & codes that deactivated vessels." Was that some sort of secret messaging or what? Hearing the trill of a flute though from somewhere close by had Hylonome turning to watch Surtur playing before attempting her own try at whatever was going on. It was just a shot in the dark but she tried to further along the process of what needed to be done.
In the back of her mind though the words that had been spoken kept circling around in her mind, "you don't belong to them."

Encke Transcendent Eternal Senshi of Plasma
MOOD: Offlined ACTION: Taking offered meds, duly acknowledging the chest burrowing and robot deathTo be honest, Encke wasn't noticing much. He was pale, his breathing was shaky at best, he strained uselessly even as Pendour's and Basiluzzo's voices made it in and out of his ears. Despite their whispers, he didn't really relax; it was hard to say if he was noticing they were there at all. The first signifier that at least some part of his brain was online was how easily he accepted what Basiluzzo pressed to his lips, but his swallowing of it was moreso on autopilot. An autopilot followed by a gasp and wheeze of air as Pendour was yanked away and one of the robots attempted to worm their way into his chest. And he felt it, as much as he wasn't bleeding, and he registered it to a distant degree as his brain screamed. He felt the way it built, and the way it hurt, and the way the markings on his hands and arms started to respond to the unwelcomed intrusion. And then it blew out, sparking out from him and knocking the robot back. Knocking the-- A part of his brain registered what had actually resulted, the other part buried it as he tried to claw his mind and balance back under control-- Home Helper Sapient Machine, Something Domestic (NPC)
MOOD: Feeling righteous, but alarmed ACTION: Suggesting a little louder leaving the organics alone"He is not the gift of Astraya!" Had Astraya summoned Encke specifically there as an option for it to gain a starseed? Was he there for another of theirs to gain a starseed? It didn't know, and didn't care. This one seemed like it wanted to work with them. They would need allies for them to truly survive long term and to survive as they joined the cycle. "Leave him alone!" It created a staticy warning sound of alarm as the little items in all of their bodies tried to get into Encke's body. It did not bleed, which was interesting -- what kind of organic was he that didn't suffer the death that the schematics hinted was awaiting every organic they took the starseed? Home Helper leaned in as well as it could after Pendour had gotten in the way, and Basiluzzo had blown it away, hoping to pull away the other robot. And then there was no other robot. Whatever came out of Encke, bright like the marks on his skin, not only knocked away the attempts to get into his starseed, but also shorted out XZ-1414. Forever. Home Helper could not blame Encke's defense of self, but there was a noise of alarm it made nevertheless. That was its fellow. Another one of theirs. That noise of alarm might have made it into the datastream. DATASTREAM It appears as if the senshi has a self-defense mechanism against our advances. I would advise leaving him alone as it seems harmful. I am uncertain if he is aware of it. We should regroup and reconsider our approach. We do not know if he is the only one with this mechanism. Whimsical Blue Surly, datastream message

BASILUZZO Squire of Uranus
MOOD: Alarmed ACTION: Watching in horror, trying to assist PendourBasiluzzo was glad, relieved, to see Encke take the pill he had offered, and he whisked the bottle away back whence it came. It wasn't going to stop the panic attack just yet but it was a start—a start he and Pendour could help by getting him off the goddamn table and away from the goddamn robots. He didn't get a chance to act much more than that, however, as Pendour was suddenly pulled away--" Pen!"--and one of the robots set upon Encke. Rage and bile rose in Basiluzzo’s throat as he saw the robot stab toward Encke, stab into him even though there was no blood. On top of that, Pendour was being held back, and Basiluzzo found himself fervently wishing he could be in two places at once. He pulled on his squire magic in hopes of blowing the robot away, of pushing back his own sense of helplessness, but to no avail. There had to be something—anything, anything—Basiluzzo could do. Something to keep Encke from being stabbed to death— He was trying to pull them away, but they wouldn’t budge— “Get off of him!” he hissed. Fortunately, and to Basiluzzo’s great relief, it seemed Encke was able to figure that out himself. Basiluzzo saw Encke’s marks flare, heard the whine from the robot, and then found the robot ceasing to be. Violently. Ah, followed the stunned realization. It had exploded.Basiluzzo shook himself out of it. No time. More important worries. He kept one eye on Encke as he reached forward with his large feather and attempted to none-too-gently wrest the robot's grip from Pendour.

Pendour Transcendent Knight of Neptune
MOOD: Panic ACTION: Survival ResponseLuck never lasted forever, did it? Magic couldn't get you out of every situation. She was too focused on Encke, on the bonds around his wrists, that she didn't notice the bonds closing in around hers until it was too late. Well, it wasn't her wrists. One second, a metal tendril wrapped around her waist. The next, another was on her arms. The robot yanked her away from her friend like she was just a doll. She screamed. She kicked, too. She wasn't trying to. She didn't want to, but she heard the soles of her flats clanging against metal all the same. She felt her fingernails clawing for purchase against articulated metal until there was static electricity tingling her fingertips. Later, she'd regret it, but right now she was barely thinking. Whatever part of her mind wasn't stuck in fight-or-flight panic was still focused on Encke. Then a robot was burrowing something inside of his chest and that part of her mind was panic, too. Pendour screamed again. She thrashed with her body weight and she kept clawing, but nothing happened. The robot did not budge. The tendrils kept digging. He was Transcended. It wasn't supposed to be like this. It wasn't supposed to be like this. It wasn't- She saw his markings flare as the tears welled up, dripping down onto the robot that was keeping her from him. Then the robot exploded, and her struggling stopped. Everything stopped. Pendour wilted. She dropped to her knees, her own eyes going somewhere distant, somewhere empty. "That wasn't what I meant," she said out loud. "That wasn't what I meant. That wasn't what I meant." Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Basi tugging on the robot, and she shook her head at him, the tiniest bit. "No," she said, maybe to soft for the words to even be of any use. "Don't do that to me, It'll. That." She shuddered. "No. No. No. No. Please."

BoSomething preciseMOOD: Annoyed ACTION: Vibrating in defiance "Says the organic with an extractor of his own! I am simply fullfilling an ancient directive," said the ram, eyeing the orb Kurma held. "This one was tasked with finding and silencing the false senshi. I have done so. I have passed my trial, and will now ascend. You are in my way, organic."
The ram dug at the ground, giving a nod at Surly.
datastream This organic has an orb like ours. I do not trust him. Be wary, he wishes to return what is rightfully ours.
Bo lowered her head but the organic with the orb floated out of her raming range.
"Cowardly fleshy sack of liquid..." muttered the ram, who now was vibrating with intense rage.Whimsical Blue No I do not know why my brain thought Ama was playing Surly neutral

Basiluzzo obediently stopped pulling on the robot, recognizing the shake of the head even if he didn't quite hear her words. "I have to get you out of there--" He stepped back, but only just, bending and looking around as much as he could without touching her or the thing holding her. There had to be a release, a weak point, something, right? He didn't doubt that the robot arms were stronger than he was. After all, Encke had been held down, as well. Basiluzzo looked toward Encke, chewing on his lower lip. Now what?

SurlySomething RuggedMOOD: Surprised, Upset ACTION: Asking Bo to leave, prepared to take on the violent organics Surly was confused… they weren’t supposed to be fighting the organics! They’d specifically tried to formulate a way to take what they needed without prompting a fight like this… and the explosion! The large mining robot could only stand and stare in horror at the demise of one of it’s kind, the evil looks he was getting, and the rage that seemed to permeate every part of little Bo.
“We only wanted to live on as you do…” He pronounced, unable to truly convey the hurt and confusion in his flat, mechanical voice. “We can’t repair ourselves, or replace the ones that cease to function… if we cease, we are gone as though we had never been… We spent countless, untold years serving before being discarded as though we were no more than mindless automatons. Only desired as long as we were useful… despised when we were not… We are owed!”
There was that familiar anger at the organics that he had carried as long as he could remember, presumably since the day he was decommissioned. So many days, years, decades of serving faithfully, and then discarded, set to be destroyed. It was not the same as Bo’s rage, but a resentful anger, small and darkly heated. It mixed with a fear that, whatever that strange organic was doing, he might do to the rest of them what had happened to XZ-1414. He didn’t want that to happen to Bo, who was so lovely and hardly damaged at all… not like Surly himself. Thumping forward, he passed over Bo to stand between her and the others, lilting just a little with his damaged leg. Datastream Bo, you have obtained a starseed. You should retreat from the current situation. These organics are proving intractable and dangerous. It is not worth damaging yourself and risking the loss of the starseed. I will keep them from following you.

The robot wrapped around Pendour was removed -- mostly. A twitching appendage still clung to her hair. The others, processing the datastream and asking more questions: what was a senshi? What were the other visitors, then? Confused by what they didn't know, conflicted by Home Helper's argument, and concerned for their safety, they remained vulnerable. Kurma Guide to the Cosmos
MOOD: Still having the worst day of his life ACTION: Sharing his wisdomHe had just about calmed down again, enough to snatch the notes of his mind. Kurma's eyes popped open and he sighed with relief, but his hand jerked and hesitated over his zither when Bo's words reached his ears. With a rare burst of anger flaring in his eyes, he glared back at the ram and frowned. Gritted his teeth. He rested a practiced finger on his own rope-wrapped orb and, with a flicking motion, made it spin in the air. "I'll have you know the only star seed in this thing is mine." With a look on his face like he'd just swallowed a large pinecone, he returned to his instrument. His weary eyes -- so deeply creased now he looked as though he'd aged a decade in hours -- stared at nothing in particular, but something about them suggested he had much more to say that he was choosing to leave unsaid. Instead, he simply turned his eyes to the instrument-bearers present and said, "Pay attention, please." Just two notes within proximity, and the star seeds would drop from their prisons. Quote: Robots with star seeds have the option of relinquishing them in this RP. Besides that, this is the last post for this minigame! Feel free to destroy or assist the robots found here -- but don't try to take anything. Kurma already wiped the place clean.

Hylonome Basic Corrupt of Edelweiss
MOOD: Conflicted ACTION: GtFO'ing of this place
Hylonome had barely time to register the changing field of battle as more people rushed in. The senshi that had been caught and strapped down on a table had been attacked but had resulted in such an explosion that Hylonome decided she no longer wanted to be anywhere in this room as she got showered with metallic debris from the destroyed creature. Even as Kurma had instructed the two toned notes that would have probably made life easier for everyone to help deactivate things did the basic corrupt spare one last glance at those gathered before brushing past everyone at the entrance - even those that could be considered her superiors. She'd had enough of this place.
What she wanted most now was just to be able to get back to the normalcy that she would find back at home.
