[ Liio has been traveling with his sister searching for answers to their magic. He finally realizes it's time to extend their search, either to Oba or Belrea ]
Liio was frustrated. It felt like it wasn't long ago that he was attempting to put himself in harms way to bring out his magic. And yet here he was again, hitting a road block. He loved his sister dearly, but he couldn't help the jealousy at how easy magic came to her. Sure, someone might say that it was wild, uncontrolled, but it was there. She had more than he ever felt he could. And that was frustrating.
He didn't want to feel this way, not jealous of his sister or lesser than he could be. He just felt like he was on the cusp of something but something else was in the way. Maybe it was the lack of teacher, or the fact they were going in circles from Tale to Zena and back again. Or it was the desire to fight more fires, save more people, just be something for a change. Or hell, maybe it was love. Or a desire to be loved. Some people said love was the strongest emotion and biggest driver toward success.
But Liio wasn't in love, not in the way where he'd race off like a knight to save a princess. No he was more of a playful boy, testing the waters and just enjoying life. Well if he had anyone to enjoy it with.
He waved away those thoughts and focused on what he needed to - what was he going to do about his magic? It seemed like he needed to go somewhere a little stronger in magic. Belrea seemed like a good place, but from what he heard they were more technology than pure raw magic, which was a little controlled for him, and probably very controlled for his sister. So he thought of some other places.
Oba was more war and fighting, and Matori was free living. Yael would be interesting just in their whole light versus dark magic. But all were uncertain options. In fact, he didn't really know of anywhere that had a conclave of mages. It seemed more certain that he would need to go to each place, try and find a master to learn from, and once he perfected that spell he'd go to the next location.
Yeah, that seemed like the best course of action. He would approach his sister and offer to travel, maybe through Jauhar, Oba, and Matori, and see if they could find any new mentors. It might be nice for her to get someone new to teach her different ways to control her magic. And he could find a way to unlock more of his potential.
He wanted to do more to help, especially when there were situations like fires. But how could he if he was blocked like this? It was time to focus, to expand and push himself beyond his boundaries. And if he needed to travel further to do that, he would make sure he did whatever it took to be the best mage he could be..
