The man's mind was cloudy. Not one cognitive thought swam in his head. Only the instinctual drive of elimination of the enemy. Something he's done time and time again nearly making it an art form. He could feel it in his bones; the successful elimination of the enemy. It made his mouth water and excited his nerves. He twitched as he stood over his vanquished target aware of someone's approach. He couldn't make out anything. He couldn't hear her if she had a megaphone. Slowly he could feel her presence grow stronger. The hair on his arms stood beneath his sleeves as her hand approaches them. Just as soon as it was there it was gone. His eyes, slowly growing bloodshot, meticulously scanned the area with a squelch. They snapped onto something that set fire to serotonin levels; one final Boarbatusk. Though he couldn't hear the noise in the church in this state he couldn't care less. "Haaaah!" he exhaled his breath visible. His heart raged in his chest as he body grew hotter and hotter from it's increasing activity. The pain. The searing pain in his body. He felt like his blood was boiling and his skin was melting. This is one of the reasons why he hates this "form." Yet, he pushes on. His body screams and begs for him to stop, but he just won't. Not until the deed is done. Eradication of this filth that challenged him in the Pen. An instinctual illusion that keeps his malice active. He turns his entire body to face the boar. Itself being in a tough position. Though Adam isn't cognizant of his of his surroundings his instincts operates his body accordingly. For example: avoiding the ice dust as to not hurt himself. Or to capitalize on the fact that the monster was nearly helpless and easy picking. One of the few things he doesn't take into consideration is the presence of people. Why? Well, in this state another's life isn't something he cares about. That's why bystanders don't pop up on his radar. He grips the hammer so tight you could hear his finger crack. His body emits a vapor from his sweat rapidly evaporating off his body. He lets out a guttural sound from his throat his team could hear. Almost like a death rattle, but for his enemy. The longer he's in this "form" the more he enjoys the fight, but it's a double edged sword. His body will begin to break in the most painful way possible. He rushes forward towards the Grimm with the intent to kill. Closing the distance very quickly with a long and powerful stride he grips the hammer at the belly as he leaps in the air for another powerful swing this time adding his core into the mix to really maximize the damage. With a loud his and visible steam coming from his mouth he waits for the satisfying crunch before the kill.

Team Dark emerges victorious
Everyone: The boarbatusk, so intent on Azura, could not react fast enough to the actions of everyone there. As she dodged out of the way, it would just barely clip her; nothing to cause real injury, though it hinted at how strong and bad a hit it would've been if she had not dodged. Unfortunately for it, this led to it going onto the ice ramp of Cecil; easily shattering any spikes that came up, but unable to slow or turn away from it in time as it was sent skyward. Their combination of attacks would prove successful. Through Cecil's use of ice dust, the barrage of bullets from Ridley, the powerful round of Azura, and the final culmination of Adam's hammer swing...the Grimm dissipated into dust almost soundlessly on its end with the latter of the team coming down for a landing. It may not have bee the smoothest landing, but Adam stuck it at least...though it did quickly become wet and slippery beneath him from all the heat he was currently radiating. That may cause him to slip. Beside that though, it seemed no new Grimm would be appearing and they finally had a moment of peace. Or not? They would hear a loud sound of a final movement before silence; any looking to the church would now notice the barricaded door had been opened up. As eyes traveled to the door, depending on the states of mind, some of the team members would pick out certain things. One thing they would all notice was that it seemed people from all walks of life from the town were congregated there; people that looked like farmers, children, the more well-kept attire of perhaps shop keepers, the clergy of the church, and that everyone seemed to be brandishing makeshift weapons. Many of which was farm equipment, though some actual weapons existed amongst the crowd. The next thing to be noticed was the obvious expressions of relief on the peoples faces at the sight of them rather than Grimm. At a rough headcount, team DARK could see there was around thirty people in here. Whether this was all the survivors of the town could not be determined without asking. From the crowd, a much older man would stride forth; seeming to be head of the church by his attire, and at least a figure of authority as everyone made room for him. While clearly older, the man seemed in very good shape and had a very large metallic cross on his back that looked like it weighed a lot but...did not seem to bother him.
Pastor: The man would stop before them with a tired smile to his lips; though as he looked and saw it was only them it faded ever so slightly. "Thank you for coming to our aid. We weren't sure how long we would be able to hold out inside of here. We saw how you fought out there; we have a few healers here that can tend to any wounded you have. Its the least we could do for you helping us out with the boarbatusks." he would finish with a gentle smile as his eyes went to most of Dark aside from Azura. After that brief pause, he would speak again. "I hate to sound rude but...are there anymore of you? We've sent word that we need help from grimm that come to siege our town, and a few brave souls who risked scouting have reported another large wave that could be coming by tomorrow night at the earliest, or sometime the day after; we have a few more out that will give us warning if its anytime soon. We've tried to hold out on our own but...many of our fighters have perished in the attacks, and most of the town in here have never trained with a weapon before save farming implements," he would say solemnly at their loss, worry in his voice. The townsfolk, what was less of them, also seeming worried. Azura would note a few of them had scythes; though more harvest focused than lopping off grimm heads. He would wait a bit to hear out their answers before continuing. "Regardless, we will make do. We always have, and your help is much appreciated. Come inside; it's better if we plan safely in here than out there. We are not sure how many Grimm may still be in the town, and the less of us that are seen the better. I'm sorry the church isn't in the best shape currently, but i'm sure you'll understand what needed to be done to protect ourselves," he would say as he went into the church ahead of them.
(If you all want to have interactions with town people on your posts, DM me and i'll have ones to add to your posts.
If DARK entered, they would see the interior of the church looked roughly like this; though many of the pews and other furniture seemed to be barricading the windows and make shift sleeping areas scattered the floor. They would also notice this symbol inside the church; it seemed to be a sun, which was repeated many times over as a centerpiece. Something they would also recognize as being very faded on the Pastor's clothes and that many in the town seemed to have a necklace of it. Perhaps the sun, the light, was what this church was dedicated to. Once inside, the doors behind them would begin to close. They would see there seemed to be a mechanical mechanism to move the large heavy doors, and that people had pushed aside a lot of furnishings just to let them in which they quickly went to replace.

Cecil was breathing heavily, his adrenaline slowly calming down as he soon brought his right hand up to help bring his arm into a curled state while he held the Reiterpallasch. He watched as his teammates dusted the Grimm into smitherines and smiled at the success while he looked around. The night had grown quiet, as did the church for a moment till a loud sound was heard, causing him to turn around, looking to the church doors and seeing them wide open. He was the first one to notice the large variety of people in the church. 'Human, Faunus, Farmer, Security, Mayor, even some merchants..... this church helped to house them all? No.... they were all living here in harmony weren't they?' Cecil thought to himself as he began to walk towards the church, his legs not hurting so they could carry him as they saw fit, but he winced as he got closer. "Nnnngh..... are any of you hurt?" He asked of them, more concerned for their safety rather than worrying about his own pains for the moment before an older man came out of the group. He noticed the large cross and chuckled to himself at the size difference before his face looked serious upon listening to the man. "No need to thank us, we're just doing what is right, and that's saving lives. But some tending could be useful right now." He commented as he began to approach the church till he stopped in his tracks upon hearing his words. Cecil wanted to speak but then one of the younger male clerics moved past the crowd and stopped Cecil. "But..." Cecil was going to speak but he was interrupted again by the young male as he spoke. "We need you at fighting capabilities again, so please just take the time to recuperate." He told Cecil sternly as Cecil sighed, being scolded by a young lad of all people before he was walked to the steps to sit and get healed up by a cleric in training.
Cecil listened in if anyone of his team spoke before he looked to the Pastor, wincing as the boy worked on his arm and soon saying. "Nnngh, you all survived this long huh? Well consider yourselves not just lucky but skilled. Sadly we're all that they sent and if we plan to hold here we may not last long." He stated aloud before they were slowly brought into the church, his eyes looking around to take a good sight in. The boy had wrapped up his left arm at the sides of the elbow, leaving it uncovered to let Cecil flex his arm as the aura healing helped restore his arm's flexibility. But the back was another story as it took alot of damage and even Cecil knew that he'd be sore even after healing. "So, I'll only ask this, was there ever an evacuation plan prior to holing up in a Church? Cause if not, we'll need to plan now, as we don't have much time till the next wave." He stated calmly and aloud as he could hear some grumbles from the townsfolk for his normal bluntness, one of them even calling out that they had one but it was crushed by a Beowulf eating the driver and breaking the carriages.

Just like that, in a final group effort, the final enemy was defeated. In a messy burst of black ichor and dust, the creature dissipated before their eyes. The girl let out a soft huff of air, but it wasn't quite a sound of relief. She knew it wasn't yet time to celebrate and had a sinking suspicion things would get much worse before they got better, before they achieved victory. Flipping her pistols around in her palms once, then twin, she'd revert them back to their twin sword form before sheathing one at each hip. For the moment they were in the clear, though she was still on high alert, senses sharp as ever. It was only now that she heard the scrambling of feet coming from the church, followed by the loud screech of double doors being pulled open. She watched the small stream of people poor from the church and she couldn't help the small smile that formed on her lips. It was a small, rag-tag group, no more than thirty people and they looked worse for wear. Many were sporting bandages, bruises, a few limped. More so, the grief was evident on the faces. In the sharp lines of their cheeks and the dark hollows of the eyes. The way their irises seemed to consume the light rather than reflect it. Her heart ached for them and everything they've suffered thus far, yet it felt lighter because she now knew they hadn't been too late after all. At least, some lives would be spared. As the clergy of the church approached, heaving a cross on his back that seemed much too large to be practical, golden orbs would settle on him and the odd mix of relief and disappointment that twisted his features. His smile was gentle, his words calm, but it did little to mask his evident concern. The girl was consumed by a sudden urge to console the man and the rest of the townsfolk. Sparing a glance towards Adam, she'd note the steam rolling from his form, for a moment her eyes would be filled with concern of her own, but as she turned back to the priest, all traces would be burned away, leaving nothing but an unwavering determination in its place. "It's just us, but I assure you, while our numbers may be small, our strength is not. We're team DARK from Beacon, and I'm Ridley Delmhorst, the leader. I swear on our honor, we won't fail you." There wasn't the slightest hint of doubt in her voice, and it was impossible to tell whether she lacked fear entirely, or simply faced it with a brave face. Her teammates would know it was the latter. The last few months had shown a new side of Ridley, a side that showed she wasn't quite as fearless as she had always seemed. Rather, like the warrior she was, she trudged on despite of it. "I'm sorry for your many losses, I hope that today we can put an end to that and give you all the proper chance to grieve." Nodding to his instructions to gather within their make-shift strong hold of the church. "No need for apologies, and you're right. Give me a moment and we'll be right in." There was just one thing she had to do first.
Golden orbs would glace past him now, landing first on Cecil, who seemed to have the worst of the damage but also already had aid on his side. Sparing another glance towards Azura, she would ensure her companion was well and in one piece before turning to where he true concern lied, with Adam. This side of him was new and frightening, though it wasn't so much that she was afraid of him, though someone with any sort of sense about them probably would be. She knew Adam, knew he would never hurt her. This side of Adam... she didn't know, and she certainly didn't have that guarantee. After all, if she hadn't been quick to dodge out of the way earlier, she would have been got in the crossfire. Even so, despite the darkness of his eyes, the bulging of his veins, she knew the real Adam was still in there and the sooner she could get through to him, the better. What really worried her, was the fact that she didn't know if this... ability of his, had any adverse side effects. Leaving the clergy as well as her other teammates, she'd step towards him. She approached slowly, cautiously, but she didn't hesitate this time. She knew there was a chance he'd lash out at her, a chance she would get hurt, but that was a risk she was just going to have to take. Once she had closed the gap between him, she spoke again, her tone soft and comforting like before, but sterner. She wasn't just gently prodding him now, she was going to fight tooth and nail to get to him if that's what it took. "Adam, pull yourself together, okay?" Steam was still rippling from his body, pouring from his mouth with a hiss. Reaching up, she gingerly press each of her hands on either side of his face, forcing him to look at her and accepting whatever consequences came with it. His skin was feverish beneath her fingers, like he was some sort of living volcano and all this heat and steam were just signs he was about to erupt. Even if that were the case, Ridley wasn't going anywhere. Stubborn as ever, she would persist until she got through to him. "We did it. We defeated the grimm and saved these people, but we're not done yet. We still need you."
Azura's aura flashed briefly as it absorbed the damage from the boarbatusk. A direct hit would have likely sent her flying. Luckily she was able to get away with only losing a bit of aura to the creature. Despite being knocked a bit off centre from being clipped, Azura managed to position herself in time to take a shot at the creature. She almost felt bad for the creature as attacks from Cecil, Ridley, Adam and herself came together to obliterate the creature. Almost.
Azura stood up, her blue eyes scanning the area for any more Grimm. Once she was satisfied the immediate danger was over, she transformed Crimson Regret into its storage form and tucked the weapon back into its holster hanging off her belt. Normally she would have jogged over to check on Cecil, but something else grabbed her attention. Adam. While Ridley and Cecil spoke to the villagers, Azura stood frozen. Steam rolled off his skin in waves of heat. And his eyes were not Adam's. Instead of bright and full of excitement and energy they were full of hate and anger. "Adam?" Azura said timidly, unsure of what to do. "Are you okay?" She was relieved when Ridley came over, taking control of the situation. Did Ridley know what was going on with Adam? It almost seemed that way, but maybe their leader was just that confident. Either way, Azura waited nearby, ready to take action, unsure of how Adam would respond to Ridley's actions.

His landing rough, but successful, brings him back to ground with a hunch. Adam's breathing is labored and ragged getting worse as time goes on. His throat his dry and on fire and his entire being is, once again, begging him to stop. This time it was practically deafening. His red and tear stained eyes scanned the 'Pen' for more challengers, but found no one. He stood there waiting for the feeling of the challenge. He didn't notice the villagers pouring from the doors because they lacked the intent to harm. He didn't notice the priest with the large encumbering cross on his back because he exuded nothing that made him a threat. He stood there in his imaginary cage hoping the doors would open once again and he could prove why he was the champion. Why he stood tall as everyone fell at his feet! Why he was alive and they were all taken away in body bags mangled and twisted! Suddenly, he felt a presence. Someone got too close for his comfort and he acted with a left spinning back fist. Luckily, she was much shorter than him so it cleared the top of her head leaving her without damage. In that moment, he felt two small hands on either side of his face. Usually, this called for clinch and hip toss, but there was no malice behind this. He couldn't feel any bloodlust or ill-intent. Where his face held it like he was being prodded with needles. A sharp and precise pain in the shape of two small hands. His dull eyes stared into her golden; almost through them. It's unclear whether it was exhaustion of his ability or just the fact that she might have broken through to him a little bit, but his inner mind could make out a few words: Adam, together, We, defeated, Grimm, not done and need you. He swears he even heard another soft voice asking if he was ok. Adam's eyes began to focus in the dark as if he saw some type of light in the distance. A bright golden light that began to push away the darkness. HIs dull, bloodshot and teary eyes were coming back to life slowly thanks to those golden rays. As it turns out it was the eyes of his leader, Ridley. He was in such a daze he found himself saying the first word he'd said to her upon meeting her, "Shiny." Ironically, they were just as close the first time as well.
With enough sense in his mind now he was about his wits and realized what was happening. He knew how hot his skin could get in this form and knew he was potentially hurting her. With a shove he put distance between them. It was coming. He took deep breathes to prepare himself for the consequences of using this horrible ability. His veins engorged and slowly pulsed one final time before fading away. His knees shook and buckled as he hunched over. He bit into his arm to muffle his long agonizing scream as if that final pump injected poison in his veins. Removing his teeth from his arm with a slight squelch he could taste his own blood. Better than cracking his teeth, I guess. He lurched and heaved until finally he threw up. Through his ragged breathing he said,"Well, no blood. That's a good sign." He painstakingly stood to his feet with a wobble and turned away from Ridley and his team to spit the vomit out of his mouth. He turned to her, Ridley, with a look of sadness, shame and embarrassment as he attempt to cover it with a smile. It's a look that told her 'That's what I used to be...and I hate it.', but he chuckled and through his horse voice he said, "I'm sure ya find this very attractive." His aura flashed as it started to do his job, but it could only do so much. His face got another look one that wasn't too pleased with her. "Woman, do you know I could'a hurt you? Why would you do somethin' like that?" Adam asked his voice strained. He already knew the answer. It had something to do with her being hard-headed. As much as he wanted to be upset with her, he was glad she pulled him out. It could have been way worse for himself.
Now he took notice to the situation. The villagers and the priest. "Where'd all these people come from?" He asked hoarse. He coughed due to his mouth and throat being so dry as the steam finally stopped pouring from his body. "Could I get some type of water ova here? Trust me, the smell comin' from my mouth is the biggest danger in the area right now." he joked.
The pastor would listen to the two children, in his eyes, speak as the other two of their team seemed to hang back a bit. It didn't escape him that one of them seemed to have steam coming off of him and seemed a bit out of it; 'Perhaps his semblance...' he noted quietly. In those matters he knew little on how to intervene, and trusted the person's team could handle things. One of the boys of the team, the brown haired one who seemed close to the worse for wear, would ask them if they were hurt. The Pastor's expression would soften slightly, and he would just wave a hand absently. "A few injuries, but we are fine for the most part. No injury more pressing than your teams at the very least," he would respond kindly while making sure the boy knew he should be more worried about himself. The boy would say no thanks were needed, but that tending would be good which the Pastor would nod to a cleric child to help him with his injuries. He was proud the boy was doing well; and the rest of the town in these trying times.
His eyes would then turn to a female of the team, another who had seemed fairly wounded from the fight outside, who would approach. She would assure them they were strong, but validate his fears that it was just this team that came to aid them. She would introduce the team as Dark, herself as Ridley, and announce they would not fail them without a hint of doubt in her voice. Some of the crowd behind, having glimpsed the fighting from the windows, would have hopeful smiles and looks across their features; particularly the young ones believing her words. The older ones, pastor included, were still a little skeptic; though they hoped her words would ring true. "I can only pray your words hold true, Ridley, but your teams presence at the very least has boosted out chances of surviving by a great deal. The presence of all of you is a great relief. I am known as Pastor Nicholas Wolfwood, but you may call me Nicholas if you'd like," he would calmly and gently respond to Ridley and then aloud to the rest of team Dark. His uncertainty would be evident, to team Dark, but as he spoke aloud and turned to his flock the uncertainty was not present in his voice. "Rejoice, for our call for aid was not ignored, and it has come. We shall persevere through this, and beat back the evil of the land," he would say with immense conviction as many of the young of his flock would cheer and even the older ones seemed a bit relieved. He would turn back to Ridley after that, as she spoke of being sorry for their losses and that she hoped they could give them a chance to grieve. He would smile softly to her, and if allowed, put a hand to her shoulder in an almost fatherly way as his voice would be much quieter. "Thank you, but we knew the risks when we came out here to settle. It is the cost of our independence; but I thank you anyway for it, and want you to know you've brought us some much needed hope," he would say with eyes to her before she would also say he had no need to apologize for the state of their church as he invited them into the church and to give her a moment. Nodding to her as she went back to the teammate that seemed out of it, with the other dark haired girl just watching, he would speak one last time to them before going in. "Try not to take too long out there; while Grimm don't need to see us to know where we are, it at least makes it harder for them to guess which part of town to start in," he would say simply to them before heading inside himself as there was still much to do. The doors would remain open till the rest of Dark was inside. As the others tried to help Adam, Cecil would find himself with the flock and pastor in the church as his arm was tended to. While the Pastor was speaking to a few around him to give them tasks, he would stop as he heard the boy address him. He would seem a bit surprised that they survived as long as they had, and said they were as skilled as they were lucky to do so. The Pastor would smile slightly, though it would turn a bit bittersweet; especially with the rest of what Cecil said. Echoing Ridley's words of them being all the help they had, but being much less confident than his team leader. "We've survived this long thanks to the sacrifice of many; its why we have almost no fighters now and why our call for aid was desperate. We tried to hold out as long as we could, but the Grimm would not stop coming," he would say solemnly. Cecil would speak up again, this time asking for a plan of escape and needing to have one if they did not; Fred deciding to also speak up of a failed one. The Pastor would just shake his head slowly. "While we are few in number, we are still too many to move. We have elderly and children here with no real transport left; the ones we had ether destroyed or long gone. Regardless, this town is still our home as well as our livelihood; if we went to Vale we would have nowhere to go. It would be moving to a life of poverty and desperation; that much I know has not changed since we were last there," he would respond slowly and thoughtfully. They had escaped the poverty of Vale by making their own lives out here; to lose everything and go back as beggars in the streets was almost the same fate as death for many of them. "We will stay in this town till our last; with your help though, we are hoping to make that day be far off in the future. While we only have a couple fighters left, you'll find we still know our ways around combatting Grimm," he would say as he seemed to be suggesting himself as a fighter. Before Cecil could comment on that, the Pastor would chuckle softly. "You'll find a few of us had a less spiritual life in our younger years, and even made a living off fighting," he would say confidently.
Meanwhile: The other would finally break Adam out of his stupor; Ridley breaking through to him. As Adam would seem to...go through some sickness of sorts. Many of the children had been at the entrance of the church, watching the majority of their saviors from the doorway timidly. Especially after Adam's display; the adults were more or less working inside with a few keeping watch with brandished harvest scythes. This timid curiosity would be broken as Adam asked for water, and joked about his breath being the biggest danger which got a few giggles from the kids. As he did so, a few children would come out (three in total). Two of them were young girls that seemed no older than ten and, if any of Dark were to look, that they seemed to be twins with long blond hair and green eyes. They were both donned in clergy attire with the faded symbol of a sun. They would gently go over to Adam and Ridley, slow and timidly, and grasp onto Ridley's legs from behind; one each. They still seemed a bit wary of Adam, with the girl on Ridley's right leg holding a bottle of water and the one on her left seemed to be holding a small first aid bag. As Adam would make funny face, they would giggle and the fear would seem to drift away. The one with the water would let go of Ridley's leg and go up to Adam while gently reaching her arm up so he could get the water. "Are you really going to protect us from the monsters mister?" she would ask Adam as she looked up at him. The other little girl, by Ridley, would tug at her arm to get her attention. If she did, or if Ridley gave her attention beforehand anyway, she would speak. "You should really get inside miss. If I got as hurt as you did mama would spank me for staying out and not getting it looked at," she would say, almost becoming a bit stern in how a kid imitates an adult.
While the duo of Adam and Ridley had to deal with the twins, a boy who seemed about fourteen would step out. His clothing was not as spiritual as the rest; he seemed to just be in a pair of overalls with a tank-top underneath. If Azura had to guess, he seemed more like a farmers kid than anything. He would would walk up to her a bit nervously, eyes downcast, before stopping a few feet in front of her. "I just wanted to s-say thank you for the help miss. You all fighting was...so cool to watch. Do ya...do ya think you could teach me how to? The adults in there all say i'm too young but..I want to help out." he would speak and ask a bit timidly, clearly very nervous to be speaking to her. He would seem to have a realization suddenly, and speak hurriedly; a bit more nervous than before. "Oh sorry! I asked you for help and all but forgot to introduce myself. My name is Tom; what's yours miss?" he would say, sincere in his apology, as he gave an awkward half bow? He wasn't quite sure how to address a lady who had saved his life, but he thought that was what he was supposed to do.

As Cecil asked on how they were doing health-wise, he heard the Pastor speak and nodded his head, soon getting some care done to him by a young cleric who helped tend to his injuries, being led inside to ensure the care was done safely and out of view of possible Grimm. He looked back to his teammates as Ridley and Azura went to handle Adam, and as much as Cecil wanted to, he was going to be a problem if his wounds didn't heal up fast enough. 'I can trust him to not go berserk as I did.... you've got a stronger will than I do.' Were his thoughts as he got inside, looking to see all the types of people inside of the building as he could hear the pastor introduce himself to Ridley before she went tending to Adam with Azura, Cecil marking his name in his mind now. When Cecil addressed the Pastor he could see his expression change from a small smile, to a bittersweet expression after he pointed out the rest. He listened to the man as he spoke before he looked to the kid and then the adults. "Then.... I can assure you all of one thing then..." He started before his eyes focused upon the pastor and in the coldest tone of voice as possible, whether to help unnerve the people into believing their help would be solid or make them believe they were crazy he spoke. "Those sacrifices will not be in vain as we will save you." He didn't want to disappoint his father now that he was on a real mission aside from the caves and slowly once his arm was bandaged up, he applied his aura to help it heal. He slowly got to his feet as he asked about the rescue plan.
A man who went by the name of Fred spoke up of their failed one, and soon his head looked to the Pastor who began to speak about how they were few in numbers but numerous in the number of people they had. He then spoke about how they couldn't go to Vale, not without dropping back to poverty as it caused Cecil's eyes to narrow as he turned to face the pastor, hearing him out about staying in the town till their last. The way the Pastor spoke, gave Cecil clues and information as just as he was about to speak, the Pastor informed him about how a few of the people made a living off of fighting. This prompted him to bring his hand to his chin, a thought crossing his mind as he looked to the current church surroundings. 'If only a few of them remaining know how to fight, it could help us from being overwhelmed for just a bit longer.... that pastor must be an Ex-huntsman but right now that isn't important.' He looked to the door once he saw his teammates finally join them as he took a step forward and spoke. "If that is the case we'll need to fight dirty. These are Grimm, so we'll need any traps from your bear claws to wire traps. They may be strong, but the majority of them are animalistic. If anyone here knows where we can find traps or at least knows how to make them, we need to surround the church building with as much as reasonably plausible as they will at least slow or even kill a Grimm" He suggested, it was a good idea, considering their numbers and not all Huntsman had to fight fair against Grimm, it's why most weapons were also guns.

Azura gave a small sigh of relief, muscle tense and ready to spring into action relaxing. Ridley had managed to break through and bring Adam back. With a push of a button, Crimson Regret folded itself up into its storage mode and Azura placed the weapon back into its holster. She went to head towards the church, both to check on Cecil and give Ridley and Adam a moment to themselves. She wouldn't make it more than a couple of steps before a nervous young man ran up to her.
"Oh...uhh....thank you. It's nice to meet you, Tom. My name is Azura Knight." Azura was a little caught off guard by the boy, though it helped that he seemed just as nervous as he was. "Well...there are lots of ways to help besides fighting Grimm as we do. You can help set up traps and gather supplies. Or learning to use a long-range weapon to take them down before they reach the church." She paused briefly, glancing back at the building where the villagers were holding up. The state of the world was a desperate one. They needed as many people as possible able to fight the Grimm. But was it really her place to defy his parent's wishes? She was younger than he when she started training. "I can show you a few things before the next wave comes, but if you want to become a Huntsman you need to unlock your aura and attended Signal and then Beacon."

Adam watched as the two twin girls peered at him timidly from behind his leader. His thoughts went to his little brother since he was a twin and he wondered what he was up to. Back to the moment at hand, he could understand why they would be so wary after witnessing his ability. He was afraid of himself, but after the classic funny face therapy they trepidation seemed to disappear. The little one from Ridley's right approached him with some much needed water. It took all he had not to snatch it from the adorable child. He grabbed it from her as she asked a question. One that needed to be answered carefully. He knelt down to make himself closer to eye level with the child so he would seem imposing or intimidating. He gratefully took the water before holding one finger up signalling her to hang on a second. He took a sip and swished the liquid in his mouth a bit before spitting it out his eyes moved to the young girl as he gently turned her head away from himself. He slowly drank the rest of the water instantly feeling full of life again.
He let out a long satisfied breath before saying, "Man, that was the most delicious water I've ever had!" He looks to the small child and thanks her with a smile. Now, for her question, "Protect you? No we aren't here for that." he said looking her in the eyes. A small smile grew into a large grin as he placed her on his shoulders and stood. Pain still ringing in his body had to be ignored for the morale and hearts of those he was here for. "We're gonna save you and get rid of these monsters for ya!" he exclaimed with a hearty laugh. He looks up to the girl and whispers, "Between me and you I'm actually a superhero! Chocolate Thunder has never failed a mission!" he said in a hushed tone. He motions over to Ridley before he continued, "And that's my sidekick, Gold Digger, but you can't tell anyone, ok?" he asked holding up his pinky up to make her promise.
He almost broke. His story almost ruined by the laugh bubbling in his throat. It didn't help that Ridley was about to be bossed around like a child by a child. He, so badly, wanted to make a joke about it, but he had his priorities right now. "Now, hold on tight! To the church! Chocolate Speed - 10%!" he explains as he jogs to the building. Adam crosses the threshold with his water support on his shoulders. "Made it in record time! Couldn't have done it without you!" he smiles taking her off his shoulders and letting her down. "Your sister and my sidekick should be in here any minute. I'll keep you company until then, ok?" he asked her.
Azura: As Azura would say it was nice to meet Tom, and introduce herself, he would give her a shy smile. 'That is a cool name,' he thought privately to himself. A very fitting one too since she was almost a knight in shining armor, having saved them from the Grimm. As she spoke on how to help against the Grimm, she would mention setting traps and gathering supplies. It seemed to temporarily discourage him a little; to him it was like hearing from his parents he was still too young to contribute in a fight and only do side stuff. When she mentioned a ranged weapon though his eyes lit up a little at the prospect of a way to fight. As she finished, he would note she looked back to the church. Still nervous, he dared not speak yet till she had her attention to him; not wanting to distract a hero. Plus, it gave him more time to think of what to say to a pretty lady. When her gaze returned to him, she would say she could show him a few things before the next wave but to become a huntsman he would need to unlock his aura and go to Signal then Beacon. "You really mean I could become a superhero like you miss? I don't know if I have aura; I mean, it hasn't come up yet and i've seen a few scrapes already. My parents say I just wasn't born special that way; most of us here weren't. Even if I did, I couldn't leave my family; if something happened and I weren't here with them..." he would speak with hope at first though doubt would make it peter out the more he spoke, seeming to be reminded of reality. He would stay silent for a little, giving a chance for Azura to speak if she liked. After a little bit, he would speak again. "If you could teach me how to shoot, at least, I can help a little. My pa has an old hunting rifle but we left it in our house when we ran to the church for safety. We haven't been able to go there since...do you think you could take me to get it and-and help me convince my parents? We have a few hunting traps there as well. I know the best ways there, and i'm a fast runner and real quiet; I won't be a hindrance, I swear," he would make a request of her, and seeming confident if a bit desperate to have her help him get the rifle. He would look up to her hopefully that his request would be accepted, though he did steal a glance back at the church briefly; fear and trepidation at the thought of trying to convince his parents. Adam: As the little girl awaited an answer, she would make a fast to him as he spit out the water, and put as he turned her head away from him. "That's wasteful mister, and why are you turning my head," she scolded and complained to him while weakly trying to resist. She would be powerless to him till he finally relented, after finishing his water and saying it was delicious. As she looked to him finally, he would say they weren't here to protect them! She was about to get sad till she saw he had a strange look on his face; why would he be smiling if he said that! As he picked her up and placed him on her shoulder though her mood lifted and changed to a smile. His words only made the smile grow wider; they were gonna save them! As he looked up to her and whispered he was a superhero, she would get an amazed look to her face. Whispering "Chocolate thunder," in slight awe. He would then motion to the big girl and say she was Gold digger, his sidekick, but she couldn't tell anyone. Zipping her lips, she would nod, having a resolute look on her face to keep the secret. She would then wrap her small pinky to his, sealing it in the most important and sacred of all promises; the pinky promise. He would then tell her to hold tight, that they were going to the church at chocolate speeds of 10%. The girl would giggle and exclaim "Forward!" with glee as she held on tight to his head. She would giggle and have a smile to her lips the entire way, being told he made it in record time thanks to her as he set her down. He would say he would keep her company until her sister and his sidekick joined them. "Yay~!" she exclaimed before she leaned in almost conspiratorially, voice in a raised whisper. "I have a question and request for you mister Superhero. Why are you called Chocolate thunder, and your sidekick Gold digger? Also...When we came to the church, we left my kitty Miss Pounce-A-Lot back home. My parents told me she would be fine, but i'm worried for her. Do you think you could rescue her and bring her here? Our house isn't too far from here, and she is really friendly; i'm sure she will like you and let you bring her back," she asked him with puppy dog eyes.
In the meantime, after a little fuss, the other twin would convince Ridley to go inside...mostly because she grabbed her hand and started trying to pull her in by force. Ridley, to her credit, went along with her as the little girl would slowly lead her in and past Adam to some of the adults who had some first aid supplies. Once there, the little girl would announce herself as the nurse in charge of Ridley and stayed by her side as the adults treated her. Cecil: To Cecil's words and cold tone that he delivered them he would see a mix of expressions. Some of the younger kids would shirk back from him, others amongst the older group would scoff, but some did seem to be persuaded by his tone. That aside, he had the priests attention when he spoke of fighting dirty. He would mention traps; whether making them or knowing where to get them so they could surround the church and at the very least slow down the Grimm a bit. The pastor would stroke his own chin at that, considering things, before looking to his flock and back to Cecil. "We have a few hunters in the village who know how to make them, but we don't have much in the way of supplies. Most of our materials went to fortifying the church. I do know of where to find more though; the general store, on the other side of town, is still well stocked. We didn't have the time or manpower to get supplies from there," he would say aloud before turning to someone and asking them to bring him the town map. Laying it out on the table, once they brought it, the Pastor would show Cecil where the shop was...and then point to a few buildings nearby it as well. "To the right of the shop we have the town armory. If you could get some weapons from there, it would greatly improve our odds," he would say briefly, before pointing to a building near one of the town walls. "This here is our waggoneer's shop. If you think you can pull it off, getting one of those would help in transporting more than a handful back here. There are a few horses nearby there as well, assuming the Grimm haven't attacked them or they haven't escaped," he would say before turning to look at Cecil. "I won't lie to you though, it is a long walk there and we have no clue how many Grimm are in the town still. I'd give you some help, but we need everyone we have here. If anything happens, you would be on your own," he would finish, looking Cecil in the eyes to see if he would accept the mission or not. He would not fault the boy if he was unable to do so, as they still had a lot of work to do here and leaving would leave the church vulnerable. Assuming Cecil accepted, the Pastor would take a deep breath and speak again; looking into the boys soul as he did. "I would also ask you leave one of your team here. Perhaps the young lady, Ridley, who was injured should stay. I hate to be this pragmatic, but if anything happens to your team while you are all away...it would be a death sentence for the rest of us. This way, we still have at least one of you to help us," he would say, grim sincerity to his words. He did not relish in having to make the request or point out this run could kill the team, but he felt he had to for his own people. Inspiration and hope was for his flock to believe in another day; reality was the weight he had to bear.

Cecil could read the room easily from the kids shirking away from him and the adults having a mixed reaction but when he mentioned fighting Dirty, he got the Priest's attention as he nodded his head. He listened to him intently, his eyes focused on him as he spoke of a place where there could be more items as he contemplated.'The General store... it houses primarily food and some cleaning agents, we could fashion some acids or poisonous gases to try and direct the grimm into a choking point.' As Cecil was thinking on it, he watched them bring over a town map as Cecil got up once his arm was bandaged up. He looked over the map as the Pastor spoke. He noticed the buildings he pointed to and spoke about the town's armory and the waggoneer's shop next to it. It was localized alright, a stone's toss in the same location as he rubbed his chin. "An armory, a general store, and the waggoneer's place... probably smart to see about the Waggoneer's area first, grab some weapons and traps from the armory and gather what we can from the General store. If we get attacked, at least we can come back with weapons while abandoning the general store. But if we can get it all here, I recall some minor poisons that can be made that are harmful to the living. Chlorine Gas specifically." He informed the Pastor as he moved over to pick up his weapon while he spoke about it being a long walk.
Cecil nodded his head as he heard about it being a long walk, with him standing up as he popped his back slightly. ""A long walk and the possibility of more Grimm in town, I like those circumstances but don't worry, I can handle such a run." Cecil told the Pastor with confidence while he nodded his head before he heard the follow-up request, causing Cecil to raise an eyebrow. He closed his eyes as he began to think while he spoke of Ridley staying behind as he soon opened his eyes. He walked over towards the Pastor and reached a hand out, his right hand specifically to shake as he then spoke. ""So long as you make sure nothing bad happens to her while we're away then she's good to stay here. I'll make sure to complete the task as quickly as possible. But I am heading out now." He told the Pastor, his hand out to shake and if the pastor accepted it, Cecil would give him a firm handshake before heading outside, memorizing the location before he went on over to Azura first to speak with her. "I'm making a store run, it's a bit of a walk but are you coming with?" He asked of Azura while he looked over to Adam, and whether or not Azura confirmed on coming with, he would move over to Adam as he spoke with him next. "Making a store run, you want to come with?" Since they were leaving Ridley behind, he figured he'd ask the other two team members if they want to come with, unaware that they had been asked on other things.

Where was Ridley when she needed her? Their charismatic leader seemed to always know the right call. Cecil would bluntly tell the boy one of them could simply activate the boy's aura with their own. Adam would pick up the boy and cart him off to the house to get the rifle, forgetting to tell the parents. Even if he didn't want to become a huntsman, having his aura activated would help in the future. Did the villagers not know how aura worked, likely, or were they lying to stop their son, also likely? Was it her place to interfere in their family? Should he be told the truth so her could make up his own mind? "I would be honoured to help you." Azura gave the boy a small bow. "Helping people is why we became Huntsmen, right Cecil?" She asked when returned to her. "Is the store near your house?"
After a clarifying question of which stores Cecil wanted to go to, Tom was able to confirm his home was just a bit past them. "Tom here knows where some traps and a rifle are," Azura explained, "We just need a minute to talk to his parents and then we can all head out together...would you like to aid in mission getting permission to bring Tom with? A guide would help us find the stores and return much quicker."

When the young girl leaned forward Adam followed suit. He looked around to make sure there were no prying eyes and wallflowers that would listen in. He cups his hand around his ear and listens carefully. He hums at her question as he takes a seat and answers sagely," If I were to tell you, young lady, that would place an immense burden and responsibility on you. A crushing responsibility and I don't have the heart to do that to you...but I will tell you, " he looks around again"...I wasn't the first one. 'Chocolate Thunder' is a title that's passed down to he who is most worthy. And 'Gold Digger' has always been the name of sidekick." he says in a whisper. "Don't tell anyone, ok?" he asked. Adam listened to the young lady as she explained her situation. "Not gonna lie... that's a great name." he thinks. Adam wanted to say that he should stick close to his team, but then he saw the eyes. The legendary puppy dog eyes. "Those that which no man could resist." he says as if remembering a fabled folk tale. He comically mused over her request. "Hmmmm. I see. This is quite the situation. Not one that I can't handle though! I shall rescue you beloved pet in no time flat! HAHAHAHA!" he laughs heartily. He ruffles her hair and says, "Just point me in the right direction and I'll be back in no time!" he said with a smile and a thumbs up. As Adam waited for the girl's direction Cecil approached him. "Hmm? Store run? Yea, I wanna go, but this little lady over here needs my help. I gotta say 'no', Cecil. I'm sorry, bro." he said.
Cecil: The Pastor would nod as Cecil made his own plan of how to go about things. "It would certainly be easier than carrying the supplies one by one to the waggoneers place, though i'm sure your team could manage that even," he would agree with a slight smile of amusement. At the mention of chlorine gas, he frowned a bit though. "Perhaps, just be careful. I'm not sure how it would affect Grimm, and we'll have to make sure it is far away enough it won't hurt anyone. None of us have experience making that kind of thing either, so it would be up to you and your team to do so," he would caution Cecil. It was inventive, but not something the Pastor knew for certain would affect Grimm as it did people. As the boy said he liked the circumstances and that he could handle it, the Pastor put a hand to his shoulder. "Just be careful Cecil. You may feel invincible now, but even a hunter can die to a Grimm. And overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer; not even for yourself necessarily, but for your team," he would advise a bit solemnly despite the boys confidence, seeming to come from personal experience by his tone. Cecil would then consent to the Pastor's request on Ridley, so long as he kept her safe. The pastor would give him a firm handshake in return; Cecil feeling a brief glimpse into the mans strength that seemed to rival his own. "As long as she is here, we will protect her like one of our own. You have my word," he would say, agreeing to Cecil's terms. As Cecil memorized the map and went off, he would hear the Pastor begin to organize his flock in preparation; his words talking of their store run being a success before they even left despite his own worries and warnings. Ridley, amongst them, would also seem to be brought in to do some tasks though Cecil could not hear what exactly. Azura: As she said she would be honored to help him, the boy let out a breath he had been unaware we was holding. He was expecting a no, like all the adults had said, so it was a welcome surprise that she had agreed to his request. With a big smile to his face, he would respond to the girl as she asked where his house was. He would see they got joined by her teammate, the guy she called Cecil, and the pretty Azura would start to explain the situation to him as well. The guy was...a bit embarrassed, truth be told, to need permission and having to have them help convince his parents but it was the only way as he saw it. He awaited eagerly to see what Cecil would say, if he would be accepted and allowed to come with them. "I promise I will pull my own weight sir. I know this town and the store like the back of my hand; I used to work there part time so I can help you find everything in half the time it would normally take," he would add at the end of it. (If you do decide to convince his parents, you would be successful with only some mild coaxing). Adam: At his mention of the crushing weight of responsibility if he told her, she would pout a little; she thought she was old enough to handle such things and that he was not gonna do it. The pout soon faded though when he relented and said he would tell her, a smile crossing her face and intent focus on him. He would say he was not the first one, that it was a title passed down, and gold digger was always the sidekick name as well. "Wow..." she would say in a quiet whisper, shock on her face from this revelation. He would say not to tell anyone, and she would nod her head rapidly before bring a finger to her lips and making the zipping motion over it. The full proof sign that she would not speak a word of it to anyone. As she explained her mission for him, she would giggle when he said those that no man could resist. He would then agree it was quite a serious request, but he would accept it! And promise no less that he would rescue her in no time flat. The girl clapped her hands excitedly with a smile on her lips as he laughed. Even as he ruffled her hair, she did not mind as she was happy to have a real hero going to rescue her kitty. He asked for directions, but as she was about to give them the other boy, named Cecil, would come asking about a store run. Chocolate Thunder, the man myth and legend, would say he could not because he had to help her first. "It's alright mister! My house is on the way to the store from here. You can't miss it; its the big one with the white walls around it. Oh! You'll need this; its the key to Miss Pounce-A-Lots rooms. She is a big black and white kitty," she would say with a smile as she reached into a pocket and took out an ornate to key to give him. As he gave it to her, she would lean in though and whisper conspiratorially. "Do you think I could be gold digger one day?" she would ask, a question that had been burning in her mind ever since he said it was a title that gets passed down. After he responded, she would wave him off as he went with his team to plan or just leave the church as she rushed off to her sister. (For context, her house comes after Tom's on the way to the stores).
