I chose the middle shelf. Bottom one if it had anything valuable its probably trashed. Top one could have something heavy and it could drop on you (like a bowling ball). The middle one would be at the right height to open and look in, without even having to pick it up.

I would go for the box on the floor with the torn shipping label.
I work in a store that is a FedEx drop point and all these ship-to-store items and there's ALWAYS BOXES all over. So I can live out my fantasy of just taking boxes sweatdrop
