Morning Glory blinked as Royal seemed to take off. He felt himself go rigid in a small surge of panic for his friend. "Royal! Wait!!" he called out, but the growing buzzing sound halted his attempts to run after him. He watched in horror as Delicate Trinket was essentially frozen in place and Just Lance confirmed his own fear. Ears fell back as he took another step back from Delicate. This couldn't be happening, could it? Now more concerned for his friends he turned swiftly towards the Cobalt family. He knew of them from Royal, and he hoped that all of them were just as innocent as the flowers he tended. "We need to stick together." he spoke softly, trying his best to not allow the rising panic in his voice to eek through... though it's highly possible that it was. "If we scatter or panic then we'll all be easy targets." He cast a worried sideways glance at Delicate's now statuesque form and bit his lip. "I-I'm going to go find Royal and bring him back here. Does anyone want to come with me?" he half pleaded. He didn't want to go anywhere alone, but Royal wasn't safe.... No One was safe right now. Quote: TO ALL THE COBALT SIBLINGS!

 To hear it was one thing, to feel that buzzing in her own chest, in her very belly as she moved to find her friends was another. Though it made sense once her eyes lit on the deathly still form of a friend. She’d heard that booming voice call Deli’s name, but she hadn’t assumed for even a moment that this would happen. Miss Bullseye wasn’t the type to assume the worst in any situation, but maybe she should start doing just that. Hooves brought her closer as she stared in disbelief at her friend. â€Oh Deli... this is terrible.†Voice just above a whisper, she thought about reaching out to Deli’s sister Teal, but she just barely knew her even if she’d heard the stories for some time.
Some pony that appeared random likely wouldn’t bring much comfort.
Slowly she drew Gypsum out of the little pouch around her neck and sat him gently right before Deli’s feet. â€He’ll keep you safe Deli, until we find a way to get you back. And we will.†Conviction entered her slowly rising voice as she spoke, for she wasn’t going to lose any friends here today. Or would get them back... however this all worked! Bullseye turned to look at the other ponies with a blank expression and hidden eyes.

Cherry's frown fell from their face as it was replaced with fear, when the voice came from the changeling. Their ears heard what that voice had said, yet the words didn't register. Their heart felt crushed at Deli's scream of fear when she was hit by the dark magic. Their heart started pounding with fear for the little pegasus. They ran to their love's side, their mind spinning as they wished this was a dream. "Deli?" their voice was tiny as they sagged to the ground next to Teal and Deli's motionless form.

 Starshine paused midstep as a voice pierced the crowd. Words he didn't quite hear sent a surge of discontent through the ponies around him and he shifted on his hooves, unsure of his previous course of action. All he'd wanted to do was explore the market and now... Now something was terribly wrong. Shifting his direction, the pegasus moved closer to the gathering crowd. Voices, familiar and foreign alike, darted back and forth. Accusations and apologies, a family coming together to defend their own. He was close enough now that he could hear Royal's voice amongst the crowd. "We don't know if the Changlings have orders to be hostile if cornered." The stallion froze, ears pinning back against his mane as his eyes widened upon those words. Changelings, here. He wanted so badly to move, to turn and ask the nearest pony what, exactly, was going on but he couldn't seem to make his body obey. Though when the air began to buzz, he found himself taking a few steps back. The voice that boomed through the town set his fur on end. When they spoke pointedly to the Cobalts, voicing their deeds of defending the changelings before effectively silencing another blue pony, his heart sped in his chest. What was going on?

 Teal looked up when something was placed at the feet of her sister. A bright pony was there and saying they would get Deli back which made her feel better. She wasn’t alone. As if to echo that sentiment Cherry fell to the ground. Face contorting with distress she moved to shelter Cherry with a leg. She was much smaller then Cherry but he was a close friend and always around even slipping her sour fruit from time to time. Honestly he might as well have been family. “Cherry we will figure out how to get her back.†She looked to the bright pony for affirmation of this as it was clear Teal herself was lost and trying. Her eyes kept looking back to her sister.

Mango was frozen the moment the voice boomed over their heads. Not frozen in the sense Deli was about to be, but frozen in shock, hooves over her head. She didn't even quiver as everything happened, hoping to stay out of harm's way. Unfortunately, Cherry went sprinting off to Deli's side, leaving Mango alone and exposed. She whimpered in fear as she watched her brother, her heart aching for both him and Deli. She began to shake, trying to become invisible by curling up tightly, shivering.

Silver Gale backed away from the crowd as it grew larger, someone stepping on her skirts as she moved out of the way. She managed to pull free and move away from everyone as a voice came through loud and clear. What was this about children? Cobalt Family? What was seriously happening? Silver's gaze turned towards the mare who had accused another, because of being quiet. She wasn't moving anymore, frozen in place as it were. Shaking her head, Silver turned to head away from everyone.
"This is so not good." Silver muttered to herself as she moved quickly, not quite at a galloping gait, but an easy lope at the very least, trying not to look panicked.

Sunset frowned as the panic set it. The other they offered to help had already slipped away into the crowd. The booming voice made them flinch. Cobalt family? Wasn't Piper involved in that? They looked one last time for the pink pony but through the panic it would be difficult. Even more so that they didn't know her name. Fighting their way through the crows Sunset attempted to make their way over to the family. "Pixel!? It's Zen!" They took out their phone and saw a missed message.
Pixel: actually, there's a lot of ponies at the fruit stand. wanna meet my sisters' stand?
Zen: Are you ok? I'm heading towards the stand now.
At least now Sunset had a location to work towards.

tab Glitch froze on the spot, eyes widening as chaos erupted. His head snapped to look where Just Lance had once been, wings flattened against his back. He didn't like this -- didn't like the tension he felt and the rattling fear running down his spine. Someone was bad? No, not bad, no one said anyone was bad. In fact, he didn't know much. Suddenly things were just happening, and claims were being made. His mouth opened once, snapping shut.
tab Changelings?
tab He had read the books, of course. School made you, after all. It was history. A breed ran into exile just like the Ghoulies. He hadn't ever agreed with that decision; hadn't ever thought it was okay to force someone into the sidelines. But, his friends could be missing? On what basis? Where were these assumptions coming from?
tab And why was he trapped inside this town?
tab "This is why I never leave the house..." he hissed between his teeth, nervously grabbing for his Uniboy. No, this wasn't the time for games! He retracted his hoof, leaning against a stall as he chose to just listen.
tab And then the voice came.
tab He jolted as Delicate Trinket was snatched up by magic and... she was frozen, in some way. Glitch tensed, pressing further into the stall. 'Mother is coming,' the voice had said. Wait, now that he thought about it...
tab "Wait," he spoke to no one in particular. "They did this because they're in danger. What if they're not going to hurt us? What if we just discuss this rationally? I- maybe we shouldn't make anymore accusations. It's all... I think we need to stop and approach this calmly."
tab Calmly, sure. He even felt a bubble of desperate laugh in his throat at the comment. He wasn't calm, absolutely not. He felt trapped. He couldn't go home. He was stuck here and at the mercy of all these ponies. Things could go sour if they caused mishap. What if they did something that made the voice angrier? Made them do something worse? He was powerless in this all -- he had no choice but go along as this entire scenario played out.
tab What if the crowd made a decision or action that would get them all killed?
tab Panic hitched in his throat as he suddenly lost his wind completely, faltering. He had nothing more to say, instead sliding to the ground and instinctively grabbing his Uniboy and flicking it on. Dissociation at its best; nice.

Razzle moved through the crowd in a hurry and finally his eyes landed on a familiar white coated mare with rainbow hair. He was felt a weight lift off his chest he had located Prism! "Prism!! Are you ok? Where is Rose Water?" He asked skidding to a halt in front of his sister. Now near her he turned to try to spot the pink mare through the chaos. Most everyone was freaking out or looking for their family members. Then he saw the what happening to Deli he started to breath heavily trying to calm himself but he felt like he was going to have a panic attack. Deli hadn't even done anything but mention someone might be a Changeling and now they were a statue! "Prism we need to find Rose Water...then figure out what to do next. All that pony did was accuse someone and now they are like a statue!" Razzle frowned thinking about the voice coming from the changeling's mouth and the buzzing it was all terrifying his worry about not being able to preform songs and become famous was being replaced with just plain panic. And what had the Cobalt family done to earn favor with the strange voice? He pinned his ears a bit he had no idea how he could help and he was to afraid to accuse anyone without some proof after what they all just witnessed happening to Deli. He watched his poor friend Cherry fret over Deli, he felt so helpless. Anyone of them could be next!

 Navy Passion blinked as he was tapped on his shoulder and he turned to see who it was. It took him a mintue to register who it was. "Oh!, Hi Piper" he answered she was one of his many cousins. "To be honest I wasn't planning on attending this year, but somehow I did. Although it seems I arrived at the wrong time." he told her thinking about it and looking around at all the commotion. It was poor timing truly, he shrugged it off a bit, he was pretty sure it wasn't entirely his fault.
He had to admit though he was still trying process and register what he had just witnessed moments ago. He just saw a pony freeze in place, he wasn't going crazy, was he? he was pretty certain he wasn't. He shook his head to focus back on Piper. He tilted his head at her curiously â€Umm... Piper are you okay?†he asked her. Something was causing her to feel a little panicked.

Royal stopped to look back to where he saw his best friend near Deli. The stallion felt his heart squeeze. A stomp of his hoof made him wince as the shockwave travled up his leg. He inhaled slowly. "This...this isn't how the festival is suppose to go." he muttered low to himself. He then blinked as he heard a Uniboy start up. The stallion looked up and over to where he saw Glitch. Oh no...he called over to Prism. "Prism!!! I'll be right there, just gimme a moment." He saw that Prism was safe with her family. He then went to Glitch and instantly curled around the smaller winged stallion. "Hey...Glitch." he muttered low to the other male and nuzzled him. "Its going to be okay....I won't let anyone hurt you." Glitch was one of his longtime penpals, a friend. He was...similar to family. Royal hummed low. "I'll stay with you if you want..."

"Mute!" Honky jumped at the sight of her sister. She looked so.. frightened. Honky had never seen her sister in such a state, all shaky and teary-eyed. If this were a changeling, it'd have to be a pretty darn good one to look this distraught.
The blue-haired mare couldn't hold back any longer, wrapping her arms around Mute and pulling her close. Changeling or not, her empathy'd be damned if she sat and did nothing.
"Of course I would, you silly filly," Her voice was soft as she tried to calm her down. "It's me. I'm right here."
Just then, an unruly sound occured, and the two watched as a pony was changed before their eyes. It was almost as if she were turned to a statue!
Honky really started to feel the panic set in. All of this was too real. She pulled away and looked at Mute again, fear and worry showing through her own eyes.
"We have to stick together.. All right?" Her eyes moved to study their peers for a moment before continuing. "..No matter what happens, I'm here."

Piper froze when the booming voice spoke and waited to see what was going on. She couldn't believe what just happened. This was supposed to be a fun festival and now, an innocent pony has been frozen..or put in a trance? and it could happen again? She took a deep breath and focused on why she was there "Please, Navy, come with me over to the rest of the family." She borderline pleaded. "We really should stick together right now. I don't want anything to happen to our family." Her phone chimes. "oh, one sec"Piper pulls out her phone. Pixel: actually, there's a lot of ponies at the fruit stand. wanna meet my sisters' stand?
Zen: Are you ok? I'm heading towards the stand now.
Pixel: I'm ok, are you ok?
Pixel: I'm trying to round up some straggling family but I'm just a few steps away from the booth.
Pixel: Within eye-shot if you get there before me. "Sorry" She continued "I'm trying to get us to gather back at Flower's booth to regroup and level our heads." She gives a wave to indicate for him to follow her back to the booth.

 The sudden state of emergency had Cassi in disarray. Everything had happened so fast and from her sudden collision prior the pony was struggling to understand just what sort of chaos was unraveling. At least she wasn't alone in all of this. She had Prism by her side, who was somepony she had gotten to known romantically. In the very least they were flirty, and it was that familiarity that kept her glued to the other's side. Cassiopeia wanted to treat this as a lock down, a reason to stay put and in the safety of everyone's line of sight. However, it seemed Prism had others to grow concerned about. Who they were wasn't exactly clear to the pony, but it seemed her dear love interest of the moment was concerned for their safety.
It seemed Prism had already made up their mind though. They were pulling away and all Cassi wanted to do was huddle up closer to the pegasus. "W-wait, don't go. Here is safe. Here there are others to protect us if things get dangerous. Why on Earth would you want to leave?" Cassi tried reasoning with the other, but then a thought entered her mind. Was Prism trying to isolate her? No, why would she do that? Don't you dare grow suspicious of the one pony who seemed so concerned with your safety, Cassi. Don't self sabotage like that.
Nervously the mare took a deep breath and released it with a shaky sigh. "Very well. I suppose I can't have you wandering off by yourself. Just- if we don't find them soon I wish to head back here... Okay?" she didn't think that was an unreasonable request.
Just as she was caving into the mare's request to go out searching for these other ponies there were calls for the pale pony. Prism's name rang out as strangers grew near and Cassi stepped closer towards the one familiar face. Hopefully these were friends. Just like that, Razzle was spinning stories of a pony turning to stone. What a wild thought, but Cassi hasn't seen it with her own eyes. Perhaps she was too panicked or busy burying her face in the other mare's shoulder to have witnessed such a horrible thing.
"P-Prism, I don't understand... is this one of the ponies you were wanting to find?" She asked in a meek voice, feeling completely helpless in the given situation. She was not a fighter, she was not a leader by any means. How could she help in this situation where ponies were turning to stone and monsters were wolves in sheep's clothing whilst all of them were pointing fingers at one another. If only she had listened to her father and not gone to the festival, she wouldn't even be in this mess.
