Deanne Jacobs-Doyle"Circus like this no but I did go to a small circe de sol type thing a couple years ago." Being in a college town meant she'd gotten to do quite a few things she didn't think she'd have done if she'd stayed here. Her friends could be one hell of a motivator and it meant she got out more. "Was pretty neat though." She slipped the ticket lanyard around her neck before tugging her braid out from under the band. She probably should have pinned the braid up too but she'd thought of that way to late to actually do it. "Think anything fun will happen? Not like .. a performer getting hurt or anything but something fun a new? Or are you just hoping for a quiet night." She nudged her sister knowing Abby had been running around like mad while she'd been in town. "I remember dad getting a clown to the face and screaming like a toddler." Courtland McqueenCourtland had received an invitation to come to the circus from someone in the marketing team and had at the time mostly ignored it. He loved performances but typically when someone from a show contacted him they didn't just want him to come. They wanted him to advertise he was coming so other people would come. And without knowing about the show, knowing if it was good or not, he didn't know if he wanted to take that invitation. Then Halston had called. Of course his friend's parents had been given tickets so of course Hals got some. He couldn't just let Hals go to a big show without him. "You know I'll always clear my schedule for you." He hooked his arm around Halston's as they headed inside.

So, the last time Fleur had been at a circus-like event, she'd gotten stuck on an out of control roller coaster, watched many people die violently, and had ended up with Bischofite's hand wrapped around her starseed. Needless to say, Fleur did not like the circus. Seeing red stripes or hearing calliope music was enough to give her shivers. However, Fleur wanted to like the circus. It was performance art, which was her passion. The physicality of it was absolutely beautiful, the loud colors and stunts were different from the more subtle stories of the modern stage, but the attention grabbing magic was the same. Anyway, it hadn't been that carnival's fault that it had gotten massacred. So, here Fleur was, sitting in a somewhat isolated area with one hand wrapped around the seat of her chair while the other rubbed at her old scars. Hopefully she wouldn't just be facing her fears but she'd actually enjoy the show. (Fleur is open for interaction!) --- There was a circus in town! That meant popcorn! That meant fun and games and probably fire! That meant people flying through the air! Alexa had spent a chunk of the afternoon getting ready and was now feeling pretty circus-y in her striped leggings, bright makeup, and space buns. She practically bounced into the big top and looked around. The lighting was very dramatic, her little lanyard was super cute, and basically everything was shaping up to be awesome. The only issue was that she didn't see any of her friends, but luckily she was not a shy person. She walked over to where she saw another person sitting by herself looking excited and plopped down nearby. "A circus, huh?" she said. "This looks really cool. I wonder what the acts are gonna be. Hopefully something fun, right?" She grinned, feeling optimistic.

There was no excuse given, there wasn't one needed, he'd told his partner he was going to check out that carnival going on in the city - the one with all the ads for it. He was curious, secretly he didn't trust it, and he'd come back home once it was over. Aiden was, as he knew, busy with something so didn't mind that the blond was going off on his own - they weren't joined at the hip...at least not most of the time.
His cousin he'd told the truth to, told him he didn't trust it and was going to check it out as a normal civilian. He knew his cousin would understand, he'd told his cousin multiple times that most events and such which happened in this city always went wrong - somehow.
Promising to let his cousin know if something happened, via text, he just hoped he could do that if he needed to. He would be sure, of course, to tell him what had or had not happened when he got home though.
It was thus that Alexandre turned up inside the tent alone and with a lanyard on his person. Finding a seat in the back, so he could duck out of the way behind rows of people if need be, that he settled in to wait for the start of things. He hoped this wouldn't go bad...that something wasn't shady with this whole thing but he really didn't trust it - he didn't trust anything in this city anymore...yes he was jaded.
(Open for interactions.)

Khaleel was really excited, this was the THIRD date and the third date meant that perhaps Lilith was interested in him even though sometimes he was really stupid.
But he was trying his best, and there was a new circus in town, which he thought the woman would enjoy regardless of her sight not quite there to watch. He didn't think she would think of it as hindering her, but he was careful to choose things she could hear and participate sometimes too!
"I'm so excited! American circuses! The fire, the movements!" He got their passes, casually placing the necklace pass over her head. "Thank you for coming with me Lilith!"
----
Lace hadn't expected to be attracted to the circus but somehow she managed to wander in and look around and then got caught up in the stage hands. As such, the kitten was not watching from a rafter, her place set in the audience as she waited for the show to start.

Orah GowanShe hadn't really meant to go when she heard there was a new circus going up in town. Things hadn't gone well for the opening of the Circus of Fate last time, she'd heard, and she had to wonder if this circus would fare any different... but the thoughts of what could happen flowed well with the faint nostalgic feeling she got looking at the posters, and the desire to enjoy the spectacle of it, if it were really nothing more than normal people and extravagant, if mundane, entertainment.
It was rather lucky it ran so late, it allowed her to finish up work at the hospital before heading over and slipping in with the rest of the crowd, her lanyard ticket hung around her neck over her sweater. Orah would have preferred going with friends, but it wasn't so bad going alone. She got a chance to people watch quietly, and there was always a chance she might run into someone she knew, right?
The light felt warm and the air, with all the people inside the striped tent, was a good few degrees warmer than outside too. The scent of dirty and sawdust reached her, mixed with popcorn and donuts... and there was a low rumble of conversation from all directions as people arranged themselves throughout the stands. There were a few kids, which surprised her as the young woman crossed in front of a set of seats, dodging some thrown popcorn as some teens roughhoused in the front row.
Tucking her hair behind her ears, Orah swept the floor level with a look, skimming the faces there for any that might have been familiar. Its a shame Laney couldn't come with me...

[Zachary & Christabelle Calloway Entrance]The Circus was in town! That in and of itself was kind of weird, since Zach wasn't a fan of clowns, but Christa didn't seem to mind. Melody was called and asked if she wanted to consider it a "date" (with bonus introduction to his sister). Surprisingly, she agreed. Hopefully her mother wouldn't put her in too much of a spot. The siblings parted to allow Melody to walk between them as they went to grab lanyards that would act as tickets. Appropriate circus music lilted in the background as they wandered. "There better not be any clowns here. I can't be held responsible for clown-punching. I gave good warning." Zach muttered, keeping one hand wrapped in Melody's because he totally wasn't creeped out by clowns, no sir. He was just protecting Melody from the damn clowns. "It's not really assault if I warn them, right?" "I'm sure they'll leave you be, Zach." breathed his sister, walking slowly beside the pair to take in the sights. "Remember, this isn't the Steven King book. But if Pennywise decides to make an appearance, I don't think anyone would blame you. The movie did well, or so I hear." "Well enough that the stupid costume was super popular, bleh. Hey, is that Khaleel and Lilith?" Lilith was the one Melody already knew, so that was good! Maybe they could go as a group to save them from being targeted by filthy, evil clowns. "Do you mind if I flag them down, Melody?"

Luca KrantzLuca was quite intrigued by this circus popping up all of a sudden! The hours it was keeping were interesting, too. There didn't seem to be anything prohibiting children going there past their bedtime. There was bound to be a motley crew attending, so that would make for some fun sights and sounds. She strolled into the tent and tried to scope out a place to sit when the show began. It wasn't every day that a bigtastic circus showed up, so hey, what harm could be done? Ezra CadwellEzra had trouble getting out of bed that day, but he did still want to check out the circus that showed up. Thank goodness it didn't open till late, which was odd. Maybe this was a special grown-up circus? Probably not, but it seemed to be worth a shot anyway. It had been a while since he'd actually gone out and enjoyed himself, so this seemed like a good opportunity. Just a day out as himself, by himself. That sounded good enough. He loitered a bit near the opening of the tent, taking a look around at the various people who had gathered for the show. Quote: Both Luca and Ezra are open for interaction!

Gweneth Malley - entering Such things as a circus would normally have not interested Gwen. Not when she had other recreations that did a fantastic job of helping to ease her anxieties and the 'voices'. But, this specific circus had piqued her interest for some odd reason. Maybe it was the millions of posters, or perhaps it was the feeling that something important was to be found here, she wasn't sure, but she bought herself a ticket. She had hoped to maybe drag someone else along with her, but alas, that plan hadn't worked out.
Dressed in jeans, brown calf-high boots, and a brown sweater topped with a black winter jacket. The red and tent was warmer than she had expected it to be and rid herself of the winter jacket upon entering.
Upon looking around it looked like several people had found interest in this circus and were milling about the big top as they awaited the show to begin. With no real interest in carnival foods, Gwen meandered her way to the stands where she plopped herself down in a seat, coat over her lap, and eyes downcast as she worked to calm her inner anxieties and attempt to prevent those self-depreciating 'voices' from popping back up. Hopefully, if she could keep them away long enough for the show to begin, she'd be distracted enough throughout the show to not be bothered.Magnus - Entering Magnus, being a feline of the street, had hardly missed the millions of posters that were scattered around the city. Many had ended up on the ground and it was such one that had given the Mauvian a good look at the poster. Immediately all he could think about was the amount of people that would bein attendance. People meant food and shinies. Plus, he'd never explored a bit top circus tent before! It was all going to be one large new adventure for him.
So, the day the circus opened up, Magnus had pranced his way to it's location. It wasn't hard for a feline to slip inside such a venue and Magnus found himself under the bleachers. Hay and dirt was scattered about and he picked his way through with no hesitation.
The smell of food was terribly enticing though, and the Guardian slipped out from the darkness in search of some delightful treats before the show began.Quote: Magnus and Gwen are open for interactions!

Delilah White - with Mercy but open to anyone bumping into them To say that the arrival of a circus into town had made Delilah c**k an eyebrow was one thing. To be drug to it in the hopes of lifting her spirit on the other hand had made her sigh. It had been nearly three weeks since Jeremy had broken the news to her. Three weeks of trying to accomplish anything. Three weeks of trying to accept the news. Three weeks of worrying the heck out of her friends. So when Mercy had shown up that evening, two tickets in hand and literally shoved Delilah into the car, the raven haired woman didn't stand a chance. So the puppy eyes helped too. Try to have fun. That's what she kept telling herself as they entered the big tent. Try to..."Whoa..." Delilah's voice caught as she looked up at the inside of the tent. It was beautiful. "Well now I see the Queen of Hearts idea. Red and White." A weak smile went over her face as she looked back for Mercy. (Feel free to run into the pair!)

Mercy Haynes - With Delilah, but open to anyone to bumping into them! Normally, Mercy would not have dragged Delilah out of her house at 10:30 at night, into the passenger seat of a luxury sedan, and driven her to a circus that opened at 11 and ran til 5. Normally. But the last three weeks had been the complete ANTITHESIS of normality. Deaths in the family did that. Even Mathias - whose normally boorish behavior tended to lighten the mood - had been muted, his normal gaiety eclipsed by what Mercy could only assume was grief. She had understood - just in her interactions with both Delilah and Mathias - that there had been very little love between him and his cousin's parents. Something about kidnapping Delilah at a birthday party and thus having received a permanent ban on any and all future events when Delilah had been a teen. Mercy would have paid to see that, the thought of it was just far too amusing. But grief could destroy from the inside. She'd seen that in her uncle. A part of him had become withered from his grief at the loss of her aunt - of the life he might have lived had she not died. She did not want that for Delilah. Delilah needed motion, to not sit and wallow and stagnate. So she'd driven her to the circus, and now hung lightly on one arm, not so much because she didn't trust the other woman not to bolt for the nearest method of transportation - but because she felt that physical closeness might help in her time of need. She had originally planned to bring Nick - but much like her boyfriend's penchant for giving away unicorns to hospitalized sisters - Mercy felt that he'd forgive her this once, if he were to ever find out. "This is so cool!" She exclaimed, looking around the tent as she smiled up at Delilah. "I mean, they're your colors too." She teased. "But yeah, the motif is rather nice, should we find a place to sit, or?" She was open to either.

Joseph Ross - entering Joseph was hardly the type of person to be interested in a circus of all things, even an oddly late-night one like this. So why was he here? Honestly, he didn't know. Maybe it was boredom, or maybe idle curiosity, but in the end it probably didn't really matter. He was here, he'd gotten one of the little lanyards and that was that. Though he definitely wasn't interested in mingling, not tonight. He was a little too tired, a little too stressed out watching around the corner for trouble. It was just... time to unwind, and not have to think. Watching circus stuff should be mind-numbing enough to let him relax, right? It was just people balancing and elephants and s**t like that, couldn't be that exciting, no matter what the other people gathered in the tent seemed to think. Jeanette Génoise - entering Jeanette, unlike the redheaded man she bumped past on her way to find her seat, was absolutely here because she was excited. She loved the circus! The glitz, the lights, the funny clowns and terrifying (and adorable!) animals, the beautiful costumes. Alright, so it was a little late, but Pierrette hadn't minded too much, and her sister was prone to over-worrying anyway. Certainly, this was late at night, but it was well let and crowded and looked like it was going to be a lot of fun! Giggling, she found a seat and flopped into it, then proceeded to turn her head this way and that, attempting to take in all that she could see of the enormous tent (and of the people who were entering to watch the show). There was so much to see and the show hadn't even started yet! She wasn't entirely aware of it, but she was practically bouncing in her seat, orange ringlets tossing with the motion as she fought to keep down her sheer joy at being able to be here. [Melody Klein Entrance] Melody Klein had never been to a circus. She knew something about them, sure, but who didn't know at least a little bit about them? Going to the circus just wasn't what her family did and she'd never had the interest to go as a child. There was so much else to do after all. But Melody was not the type of woman to decline an ask from a friend, not when he'd done so much for her in similar manners. Least of all turn down a date with her boyfriend, who was also said friend, and maybe a chance to meet his sister. Things were going well enough that it seemed like the right thing to do. Happily walking in between the siblings, she listened as they talked to one another. She knew little of siblings but what she did know they seemed to fit at least. Politely she hid a giggle behind her free hand, the other still happily held in Zachary's hand. "I don't know about that," was the reply. "I think it still technically counts as assault if they choose to press charges. But I'm sure you wouldn't be the first person to punch a clown. Maybe?" Here her brows knitted together in thought, lips slightly pouted. "Honestly I've never been to a circus nor have I seen a clown, so I can't say anything with certainty. But I know people in costumes have been punched before so it's likely a risk that comes with the territory." She also had no idea who this Pennywise was but she was certain it probably dealt with the aforementioned book (and movie?). Maybe she'd ask him about it later. For now the thought was forgotten, especially at the mention of friends. "Why would I mind? It's the circus, right? The more the merrier~" Plus the last time they'd all been together had been rather fun. "Though I believe it would be best to ask your sister her thoughts about having them join us."

Izobel BeckettIzobel could remember a name like Roxanne. Her expression turned pensive at the thought that animals might be utilised in the show. Hoping that it wouldn't be the case Izobel could only offer a shrug of her shoulders in return to Roxy's admission. Her fingers picked up the pen and as she debated going back to doodling she paused. Instead she shoved her notebook back into her bag. It would only serve as a distraction now that she had someone to talk to. Besides it would be rude if she ignored Roxy. She turned over the girl's comment before chuckling, "no, I definitely can't take the mantle of artist. Nope."
Izobel couldn't help but have noticed that in the time that she had been conversing with Roxy that other people had begun drifting in to find seats. Well that was a relief at least. Closing her eyes momentarily Izobel flashed back to what Roxanne had been saying before hand and she nodded somewhat in agreement. "I don't care for the use of animals in circuses either. It wouldn't be right to use something as magnificent as a tiger as a simple beast of burden. It'd be cruel to watch for sure."
Taking one last glance around the interior of the tent that was slowly filling up the teen had to wonder if her parents had begun freaking out yet. They knew where she was of course and when she might return home but sudden disappearances and the strange events that happened on a regular basis didn't exactly reassure them that she was safe.
"What do you think is the reason behind the weird start time?"(( 275 words ))

Trinity "Rin" Ward - Entering The subject had come up at archery that afternoon and needless to say Rin was hooked the minute she'd caught her teammates whispering about a circus that had arrived in town. No longer considered a teen Rin had been looking for something to do that would prove to her parents and others that she was capable of looking out for herself. The idea of just slipping out of the house was appealing but instead Rin opted to just tell her folks that she was going to the circus. Both adults had balked at first but slowly Rin had convinced them that she would be just fine. It's not like she would have been the only person willing to put up with the strange hours.
Finally they relented and Rin found herself packing a small pack with necessities that one might need to keep awake. Now that Rin was standing just outside the entrance way she had to reassure herself that besides eccentric hours nothing screamed danger. Taking the ticket that the booth operator handed to her Trinity ducked inside and quietly found a place to just stand and observe what she was seeing. Surreal was perhaps the best word to use and with a gentle sigh Rin found the first seat that she could see was open before pursing her lips and pulling out her camera. Not one to trust using a digital camera Rin was aiming her lens at the center ring before snapping a picture. A picture for prosperity. Clicking the shutter closed Trinity settled the camera in her lap.(( Trinity is open for interaction. Note: Trinity hasn't been awakened yet if any order cats wish to perhaps awaken her. Shoot me a PM? ))

Aloysius Sharp -- Entering Aloysius stepped in quietly, he had promised to meet Liam here even if it wasn't something he particularly enjoyed. It would be a nice change of pace and would hopefully get his mind off of things. It took a moment for him to find his student, still unsure of how to talk with them now that things had changed. Even though they were on the same side now, he still felt that it was not a place Liam should be. The abyss was not for everyone, as he had come to learn over the years. Pushing those thoughts aside, he spotted the teen sitting among the crowd. Once he reached Liam, Aloysius sat down next to him. It took a couple of moments to get his hair out of the way before settling in. "Hey." Just a simple muttering, still unsure if what had happened would change anything. Cold and tired eyes watched the center quietly as he waited to see what would happen. He would give it a chance, even if he preferred quieter things. Words: 176 White Trickster Rabbit He hasn't seen her but if she wants to say hi.
