Ai

Myrida- Post 3

The Shifter female blinked as she heard the call for silence. Slowly making her way there. As the couple came close a vendor blinked offering the expecting mother a large crate to rest on. She smiled at the slender male in thanks. Bringing Ai to hold her from behind. She inhaled slowly. "Lets listen."

Ai post 4
Ai'ian humored his woman and wrapped his arms around her comfortingly. He nodded his thanks at the other male who had helped them and turned dark eyes on the proceedings. His future might depends on these proceedings. Wether he spirited his woman as far away from here as he could get her depended on the next moments this day. He would risk everything he was to save her.

Alassiel 2

Alassiel stood quietly holding Z’ran’s hand. He squeezed it lightly but it did nothing to reassure the Shifter. She didn’t like these rumors and she liked even less the whispers she was hearing in the crowd. Hopefully, the Oban authorities knew what they were doing and knew the cause of the problem only to have fixed it already. She didn’t want to hear anything else from them.

Nasuri had bene bored and been looking around, that’s when she noticed a familiar face. She’d seen that Alkidike before!

“I’ll be right back.” Aseara told her not to go to far and Nasuri didn’t plan on it.

Nasuri pushed into the crowd and followed after the Alkidike until she reached the little group.

“Hey you’re that Alkidike that saved me!” She exclaimed smiling. “I didn’t think you’d stay in Oba so long!” Hadn’t she told her she was just going to be a few days? Unless she’d left and returned but Nasuri didn’t know why she would come back.

Arima -3

Arima's lips curved up into a small smile, "Good to know." She leaned up against him happily. Truly he better be able to handle some teasing because the woman felt as if there was going to be a lot more in the future. As the quiet rang out over the crowd Arima found herself squeezing Saraf's arm in comfort. It would be okay, things were alright. They just had to wait and see what was going to happen next.

Yitzah
Post: 3
Location: In the crowd – near-ish to Aaricia, and Nasuri. Near Aylin
--------------------

Far from home, huh. "Haven't been... home, you know... in Jauhar... in a while. How are things there?" Yitzah said, attempting politeness as best as a rough gruff huntress lady could. "But wait, you went to the tournament? That's..." She glanced over at the Oban leader, wary at the interruption.

Yitzah looked up and moved over to make way for Nasuri, eyes widening in recognition. "Hey. Hi." she said. Yeah, she remembered. Bad men, awkward revelations about... males... and a place to sleep - mostly positive memories. Except, she couldn't remember her name. "I didn't - I was in Matori. Heard something was going on, though."

She didn't want to get into the whole 'my friend was stolen so maybe he's one of the people missing and this is a way to get him back' thing. Too complicated. "What do you think?" she murmured, tilting her head towards the Oban leader.

Nasuri 3

Nasuri followed her eyes towards the Oban leader and shrugged.

“My mother was never a very political person and father, well father is in the military.” She felt that summed up her father pretty well. She adored the man of course, but he was a military man at heart.

“Everyone feels quite uneasy about everything though,” she murmured as she looked around. “Do you think it’s the Belrean’s taking people for weird experimentation?”

Alassiel 3

Alassiel sighed, wishing she had her snaptrotter with her. If something happened while they were in the crowd, if some sort of fight broke out she felt far too vulnerable to be out in the open like this. Z’ran was also not a fighter and so she would be distracted with his safety as well. Hopefully everyone would remain calm though.

akuma_kessaku
sorry for taking so long owo

Naevius resisted rolling her eyes at his first comment. His voice turned tense after that, so she was glad for her decision. ”We all have to keep up appearances in one way or another.” That was just something that came along with being a noble. She frowned ever so slightly as Mash'al spoke, there were lots of people who weren't too pleased that the tournament was canceled. It wouldn't have been canceled unless something serious was going on.

The woman thought for a few moments on his next question. There were a few things people had heard. ”Everyone remembers the last time there was a meeting like this, we were going to war. I've heard whispers through the crowd on who were rumored to be going to war with: ‘those blasted extremists, the belreans with their science, a matori uprising.’ “ Naevius shook her head though. She didn't think it was war, a tournament would have been good training if they were going to be getting ready for war. She took a small step towards him and leaned in a little closer and lowered her voice. ”I've had some workers just go home one night and not come back the next day. It happens, people leave their jobs for one reason or another, but the people who left didn't just leave, they disappeared. Some of the people have worked for me since before my father left the company to me. I've gone to speak with their families but they never returned home.” Nae paused for a moment while shaking her head. ”When I returned to the palace, I discovered some of these same accounts of people just vanishing. Maybe there is some kind of uprising going on, but normally the families at least know something… As she finished speaking, Besian called for silence. It was Oba, one could never expect true silence but the crowds noise did dwindle down to a dull buzz.

Arima - 4

As the crowd still struggled with quieting down Arima found her light gaze roaming about. Wasn't there anything that she could do to help? She was a healer of wounds that were physical, not of the emotional ones that seemed to be rippling across the crowd in waves. Still at least when she noticed a small youngling about to cry the healer could offer a smile that seemed to help the child calm down.

She also let go of Saraf's arm so she could go and pat the child's head and then have them go towards their mother quietly before returning to take the soldier's arm once more.

Aaricia- Post 3

Stepping back as the girl wandered off, she looked at the two empty spaces. The others apparently saw a familiar face. For herself, she saw no familiar faces.. and it was probably for the best. Taking a seat as the call for quiet came, she pulled her hood down further to cover her face and wait for the news. Sitting around in this mass of people was making her feel edgy. She needed to move and solve whatever this problem was.

Naevius had been lost in her thoughts prodded by Mash'als questions when she noticed someone strange among the crowd. The skin tone was familiar but the person's hair was so vibrant. She only caught a glimpse though as they pulled the hood further around them. Nae’s brow furrowed as she watched the figure find somewhere to sit among the masses. The person seemed nervous...on edge which in turn made Nae the slightest bit nervous. “I'll be right back…” She said somewhat absent-minded to Mash'al as she left his side and began weaving her way to where the person had sat. “Excuse me, is everything okay?” She asked, her head cocked to the side to try and see under the hood.

”akuma_kessaku”
sorry I wanted to get another post in and corny’s poor girl looked lonely. Feel free to have Mash'al follow her if he wants!

Aaricia- Post 4

Aari heard the voice, but didn't realize it was directed at her until the face started peeking under the hood. Jumping slightly with mild panic, she put a hand over her chest with a heavy sigh escaping her lips. Not someone hunting her; just an inquisitive and apparently concerned citizen.

"I.. I am alright. It is kind of you to ask," she replied, tucking away a bit of blue hair that had slipped loose. She also offered an apologetic smile. "I suppose I am just quite eager to find out what is happening here.. and what is to be done about it."

Click to show.Besian adjusted his stance as the crowd seemed to shift closer, his eyes dancing about the faces of so many that were not from their land. Sure, he expected such differences, but it was startling compared to the last group gathering they had like this. Coughing to get over his startled observation, he nodded as the crowd finally grew quiet.

"It has come to our attention that individuals are disappearing from our lands...both of our lands." He added, to calm those from Matori before they could begin crying wolf, "We are unable to track down the culprits, but we have confirmed that these individuals were abducted, and that there is ample need for concern."

Quickly as the crowd began to speak, he let out a shout. The army members who surrounded the crowd stood at attention, making their presence clear.

"After speaking with the King, we have confirmed a need for increased presence. The army will be patrolling both Oba and Matori to allow for additional protection. If you see anything afoul, you can go to any army member and report it."

He nodded and the men and woman stood at ease, "We know this is a stressful situation, but we are dedicated to protect you all while we look further into this issue..."

Saraf - Post 4

As Besian spoke up, talking about people dispearing from their lands he found himself going a bit still save for his arm tightening a bit on Arima. He found himselg glancing around as well, taking in some whispers here and there. He couldn't say that he was at all surprised that someone would point fingers the way of the Obans. Their past was the sort that would draw negative attention in that right. Besian was on top of it though, saying that it was both lands that people were vanishing from.

They were unable to track down the criminals? Was the gang that powerful? Did they have that good of connections? Perhaps a very underground sort of group? It was kind of hard to say without any sort of details which those in charge didn't seem to have. It meant what they were dealing with was a dangerous kidnapping group.

Giving a bit of a wince at the mention of the army, something he was a part of, having to patrolling both countries. Glancing at Arima he murmured, "This isn't going to go over well with some. I hope that perhaps the unit I serve with is one choosen to do the patrol though." They had a mix of members after all so maybe they'd look less intimidating to those that still hated those from Oba? Shaking his head he then said, "After the meeting is over I will escort you safely home. If you'd like I can help you check everything out once we get there, to make sure it's all secure."
