May 2017 Math Prompt "Today, I'd like you to tell me what your favorite number is and why." Rules: Tell me what your student's favorite number is!
Post a small RP response in thread with how your student felt about the assignment. A favourite number? Qasim inhaled sharply as he contemplated the question for a moment. Did they want single digits? Was there a size requirement? Qasim stopped that line of thinking as soon as he felt his mind wandering. It didn't matter. Just pick a number. Just pick one. One ... one .... one? One. That was going to be his answer. It was so simple. It was the beginning. It was the number of victory. It was symbolic for winning. Being number one was important to a lot of people.

Post a small RP response in thread with how your student felt about the assignment. Two. Two was clearly the superior number. Everything important came in twos. Couples. Socks. Gloves. Shoes. Two seemed like a very important number. A building block of society. Two lungs, two eyes ... two arms, and two feet. Two nostrils to breathe out of, and two ears to hear with. Many people favoured one for its symbolism, but Dawbie actually preferred the number two for many reasons. Nobody could dispute that two would reign supreme, given the chance to explain its benefits and uses. Dawbie nodded his head. He was sure the teacher would be pleased by his answer.

Finding a favorite number was hard, Bledid looked what seemed to be in space for a long time before his ears perked up, thinking on it, he finally got his number, Three Three because he liked a lot of novels that came in three's, three because it was a number that had great curves and looked pretty too him. The assignment was easy enough a little thinking was, all it took and he was happy that it was easy, he wished in the future that there would be more easy assignments like this one.

Post a small RP response in thread with how your student felt about the assignment.  Sugar Maple pondered what her favorite number was and why, she decided it was 2. "My favorite number is 2 because I have lots of 2 two horns, two eyes, two feet, two hands, so two seems like a really nice number to me." She answered softly then sat back down in her seat. She hoped her answer was alright she didn't want the other freshlings to think badly of her. She often worried about that sort of thing, always fretting about how others saw her or what could go wrong in a day. Sugar laid her head down on her desk worrying.

Illusion already knew his favorite number "My favorite number is 52 because it's the same number as the number of cards in my magic deck." He said with a warm smile, looking around the class he held up his magic card deck. Illusion loved magic tricks that he did by slight of hand. Perhaps some day he would try real magic, or maybe he would keep doing magic tricks that were all about what he could do without any magic at all. It was what had made him happy watching others faces light up when they saw him do his little tricks.

x Roshan furrowed their brow as they contemplated the teacher's request. They weren't sure it was even possible to pick a favorite number. All the numbers are amazing and fun in their own ways! They watched their classmates shout out their answers or polietly raise their hands. Soon it was all on Roshan. Out of shear randomness Roshan picked the first number that came to their head. "I like the number 1. I have one Mommy and there's only me. I think one is good because it's the start of so many." Roshan smiled awkwardly as the class continued.

Post a small RP response in thread with how your student felt about the assignment. Aleanette had nearly hyperventilated when the instructor had said their day's assignment was a pop quiz. Her heart hammered loudly in her chest and her palms began to sweat. Math was not her strongest subject and this fact was well known. Just the thought of failing sent waves of anxiety coursing through her as she took her quiz. Once done and turned in, she wrung her hands before her as she awaited the return of her graded paper. As the instructor handed it to her, she nearly fainted upon seeing the passing grade. Sure, it wasn't the greatest score, but she'd passed and that was more than enough for her.

Post a small RP response in thread with how your student felt about the assignment.  As all Kayla Sue's class mates told the teacher what their favorite number was and why, Kayla Sue sat pondering. "Humm? What is my favorite number?" she thought in her head. She had never really thought about it before. It was a good question but did she have to pick just one number. "What if I like more then one?" she continued to question in her head. "Ok well I like my teddy and she is six years old like me but that is silly to pick your age."As the last girl before her went she came up with a great number and have a great answer to go with it. Now she couldn't wait to share. Clearing her thought a little she said " My favorite number is four." Smiling ear to ear she went on to explain, " I pick this number because 1. I love my Nana 2.I love my Mama 3. I love my Papa and 4. I love my teddy." proud of her answer Kayla Sue sat back down in her sit and happily waited for the next student to share their number.

Stella considered the questions and she said "My favorite number is 45 because it's the number was my favorite old time mobster on one of my trading cards I collect. They were a great business person a long time ago. I really like mobster history." Stella said happily. She loved old magic weapons, old pictures of mobsters, old carriages that historical mobsters rode in. Stella wasn't sure what she wanted to be when she grew up. She didn't think she wanted to work for the modern mob, but maybe she could research to see if there were any modern mobs and the difference between the modern and the old.

Amalthea picked number 4 and she said: "I like 4 because it's the collector's number on one of my favorite toys, it a sparkly blue and pink owlbear, it's my favorite." Thea said a little shyly. "I also like the number 15 because it's the number of my favorite pokicutie." Thea said happily. "I collect lots of them playing my handheld gaming system." Thea had started playing video games after she had met another freshling in the play room when her mommy and daddy were both busy. Thea knew that numbers were important they were useful for lots of stuff.

Tolaram sat down to take his quiz, as he always did he took his time going over each question, to answer as best he could. Once he was finished he got up to turn his test into the teacher. He was fairly confident that he had passed the test without an issue. Tolaram was ready to head out, he wanted to go on a hike to collect some stones and shells. That was Tolaram's favorite thing to do, he loved exploring nature. He considered finding a career involving shells and stones to do when he grew up. He needed to consider the classes he needed to take.

Eun sat down to take his math test, his fluffy tail swished back and forth a little as he read over each of the questions. He filled in the questions then got up to take his test to the teacher, just as the last student had done. Eun was getting more and more comfortable living here. Life here was much better than here, life at his village had been terrible. Life here in the below was much better Eun had a real chance at making a life for himself where there was less chance he would be judged for being a hallowed.

Post a small RP response in thread with how your student felt about the assignment.  Coco took her math test, she felt a little distracted thinking about familiars art rather than math. She finally managed to finish her test and turned it in to the teacher. Coco was nervous and she hoped she did alright but with her mind on other things she wasn't sure if she had passed the test. She sighed and headed out she had other things she wanted to do and she needed to take her infected medicine. It was something she could never forget and something she would have to live with for the rest of her life. Coco wondered why this had happened to so many of the other students and teachers, what had the infected wanted?
