Ivy had given it all some thought, no telling what trouble could be following when Lawton returned with the bus, certainly they wouldn't get away unnoticed. With a simple gesture, Adams vine slid low, inviting Her to perch upon its leafy boughs, lifting her above the rest to get their attention, she spoke, "--Alright, listen up. As soon as Floyd and the rest of the boys, return with the bus, be ready to climb aboard, I'm certain we won't have a moment to lose, Adam and I can hold off any resistance, but you have to be fast, in an orderly fashion, can't afford to have any of you injured. I'm not going to lie to you, Going into Metropolis into the thick of Darkseids army is going to be perilous, and we may not even make it to the Justice League, If any of you want to leave I won't stop you if you'd rather take your chances on your own here in Gotham, we'll even leave you food, weapons and ammunition. Now is the time to leave before the bus arrives, no telling what or whom might be following," not a single soul volunteered to leave, every man, woman, and child holding their ground, a few calling out, the others joining in unison with 'yeahs' "--You rescued us all Red, you could have left us to die, but you took us under your wing, we'll stand by you until the end," Had to admit she was pleased, and smiled, she only hoped they'd all survive long enough to reach the Justice League, The others, and especially Batman, had needed to see a silver lining, that all was not lost in the city he'd bled for all those years, that some of Gothams children were still alive, that their fight against Darkseid still mattered, the people a symbol of hope. Certain there would be no real time to prepare for their departure when he returned, Ivy began directing traffic, and pitching in when the flow was set, "--Right, then. Load all the food, weapons and ammunition into Adams Maw, fill anything you can with water, and do mind stepping over the Cillia, he can be quite ticklish, I'd hate to close his trap prematurely, we've got a hell of a lot to do, and even lesser time to do it in, let's move people!" ultimately they'd hardly left a trace of evidence behind, nary a speck to show they'd ever remained there. With Adam ready to go, they'd simply just wait, anxiousness there in their hearts.

It wasn't but a few hours passed, and sundown arrived... With it came the bus and a sky swarming with blackened clouds of Parademons chanting relentlessly the name of their master ready to undo everything she'd fought so hard for. The message was garbled and weak, but through the small amount of flora that remained with a sort of channeled morse code, her people had been ready, she had been ready, without hesitation they charged into the bus most of them fully armed in case they needed to discharge their weapon, just as Ivy ordered, in an orderly fashion, filing in one by one when her team returned. Calling out, Lawton spoke, "--Sorry, but we ran into a little trouble! No time to explain but let's get the hell out of here!" tossing a walk i.e. talkie up to Floyd, unable to properly admire the cosmetic "Road Warrior" touch ups on the bus, she continued without more then a moment to spare, "--I'll keep contact via two way radio, I'll notify areas of least resistance to Metropolis, Adam and I will provide the bus with cover until we reach The city..." growing solemn for but a moment, she continued, "--I don't intend to die, but if I don't make it, get them there at all costs Lawton, the League needs hope, they need to see their efforts are not in vain. Good luck!" flashing another of her savage Ruby smiles, assured the bus was away at a safe distance, Ivy suddenly lift high into the air, as the earth split open below her feet, the great Man eating plant Adam, nearly the size of a skyscraper there holding her weight effortlessly like a feather, vines whipping out, lashing hard like a mythical Kraken killing hundreds of Parademons in a single blow, corpses falling from the sky, while that floronic warrior woman struck from above with all the wrath of scorned Mother Nature. Instantly the Parademons attacked pulling back from the bus, recognizing the leviathan and the woman that command it a bigger threat. But still even as the bus cut a path through the city, Ivy watched from her perch scouring the location when she could afford the time, speaking through the walk.i.e and occasionally firing a bolt from her wrist bow at a demon that passed too close, "--Avoid the Slums and head upwards to Gothams upper side, both bridges leading to the island are blocked, the roads seem clear enough in the heart of the city... I don't imagine Mindless peons of Darkseid can set traps, but we should be a bit more cautious...We'll be along shortly aft..." for a moment the talkie cut out, radio silence, and then, "--Sorry, a*****e got a little grabby, on our way now, following, we'll keep them off your back, we gotta make this work!" she too was getting anxious, they needed to get to Metropolis, for more then one reason.

"Looks to me like we're gonna be the one's getting our asses kicked." he's probably right, Oliver thinks to himself. He then hears some screeching from above their heads as he begins readying himself. "Looks like we've got company. Heads up." he tells the team as he prepares his bow. The Parademon comes swooping in and Green Arrow quickly strings up three arrows firing them simultaneously. They don't do much damage but it causes the Parademon to redirect in the air, this time, coming back screeching, "FORDARKSEID!", "Dinah, think you're up."

Man Of Steel Superman

Either uncaring of the challenge or simply following some unknown order a large swathe of Parademons surrounded the loan Kryptonan. While he may have killed a dozen or two of them, he was not as strong as he had once been, and the Parademons were simply too many. They raked their metallic claws across his back and limbs, tearing away at armor and skin and took hold of him by his arms. Violently they pressed him down against the ground, propping him up and holding him in place.

Suddenly the entirety of the Parademon horde that had surrounded the entire City of Metropolis had gone deathly quiet. Those few that had remained within the dome quickly turning back and fleeing if such option was possible. The battlefield surrounding the city was eerily silent. The chants had all but died down, and the thousands of winged monstrosities had stood at some semblance of attention. It was like the calm before a storm.

From beyond the edge of the Horde,a figure approached. A literal giant, standing at perhaps nine or ten feet tall. His skin was almost rock like and bore a smooth and finely detailed cobalt armor emblazoned with the Omega Symbol across his chest. His eyes were a dark red and his face was plain, void of any emotions. Darkseid. The God of Evil , The Lord of Apokolips, the herald of all the despair that had been wrought upon humanity and this pathetic mudball. He walked across the field, hands crossed behind his back, observing all that was transpiring. The parademons made way for their master, stepping back as he passed through and than reforming as he moved past them.

After simply a few minutes of the dreaded silence and allowing himself to be observed by the humans. Giving them the chance to acknowledge that their end had finally come, Darkseid had stood before the restrained Kryptonian. Many claimed Superman to be a god among men, but Darkseid was something much more. An actual deity, he exuded darkness and the ground itself seemed to crack and split apart underneath him.

"Kal-E"
He finally spoke, voice deep and gravel like, although it seemed to carry through out the entire battlefield and to every person within the city. He looked past the Kryptonian, taking one final observation of the emerald dome that had so denied him and his armies. For three months, he had allowed his Generals and armies to take sport in the final siege. Three months of failure, where none should have been found. A shining example of mortal stubbornness, unyielding to the end. The time to end this was now.

With but a thought, his Parademons forced the Man of Steel to turn around, forcing him to watch his beloved Metropolis. His precious city of tomorrow. An amusing title, given that there was not going to be a tomorrow for either the city or its occupants. "The siege is over." Darkseid stated. Not a second later, two beams of crimson energy shot forth from Darkseid's eyes, shooting past Superman, merely a hairs breath away from his face and towards the city. The red beams of energy zigzagged through the air, like snakes, moving just above the heads and wings of his parademons. The beams made twin impacts on the center of the Emerald Dome, striking with such destructive force that an entire section of the dome, nearly a hundred feet wide and tall was blown apart, the emerald energy holding it together dissipating completely.

Diana Of Truth

Amazonian Bane

In what had taken his vast army months to merely crack and chip, Darkseid had shattered in less than ten seconds. Such was the power that he contained within himself. His troops remained still, awaiting the order.

"Watch your city burn now, Kal-El. And know that this is the end." With that, the horde surged forwards into the city, surging in like a flood and attacking and slaughtering everything that they would come across. And the chanting had started up once more, more or less in a vicious roar. For Darkseid

Superman stands there calling out the person responsible for all of this war, pain, and chaos. His cape bristles at his feet as the winds strides stiffen. He stands there, his super-hearing allowing him to be aware of the oncoming horde of Parademons. With pure ferocity, they rake at his back tearing through his bright red cape just as they've torn through all hope here in the city known as Metropolis these last few months. He winces in pain trying to defend himself but the numbers just aren't in his favor. They claw and claw until he's downed to a knee. Maybe, if he wasn't already beaten from his sickness he would be able to fair better but as it stood now -- Superman was in no shape to take on the Parademons in such numbers. Silence. It's all that could be heard presently. And finally, he reveals himself, Darkseid.

Superman has his head looking down feeling the immense pain from the attack. "Kal-El", he at first says, Superman unable to look up not like he wanted to. It was bad enough that he'd failed everyone and now Darkseid was here for bragging rights sake. Clark is forced to look at his city and has a look of sorrow as he does. "The siege is over." he utters, before completely shattering the dome with no one to stop him. "Watch your city burn now, Kal-El. And know that this is the end." Superman hangs his head low...as he begins to cough weakly. "...No..." he musters up to say, "I won't let you get away with this, Darkseid...." Superman says still being held captive by the Parademons.

Dinah nodded and quickly leaped into action. She soon would use her canary cry, astonishing the parademon. She also knew that the group was wearing ear protectants--or not, the chaos that was unleashing simultaneous brought more loud noises, more explosions.
The parademon soon reemerged to its normal state; Dinah began using her combatant skills as every swift kick exhausted herself and in the end not really doing too much damage. Diggle on the opposite side of where she stood was firing his weapons as his military straining and experience served a treasure. Oliver next to her, shooting his various diverse arrows at the creature.
Dinah's train of thought went from concentration to worry--they could be outnumbered and wiped out if more of them came to end this battle.
Each kick, punch, and flip becoming weaker and weaker as the thing merely jotted back in the air. This might be the end, she thought, but at least she would be fighting with her friends and family.

The arrival of Darkseid had been enough, but when a section of the dome collapsed under the dark gods gaze with all but a simple thought, Joker laughed, and laughed hysterically head thrown back like a wolf howling, the end had finally arrived, they'd be overrun with Parademons in moments, everyone was going to die, it was such an incredibly beautiful thought. Joker felt an elated rise, butterflies swarmed in his loins, the Apocalypse was coming to a close. Already they poured like blood through a gaping wound washing over all that remained in Metropolis, immediately without a moments hesitation, the Clown Prince Sprang, instantly playing on no side but his own, launching himself forward he took advantage of a (possibly distracted) Batman, tackling him to the floor, wanting their fight to conclude before the Parademons managed to interrupt. Trying to straddle him, ready to drive a fist down hard into his face, he stammered giddily, "--s**t, ahead of schedule! Guess it's hard to plan for the Apocalypse, still, All of our games, our follies come to a close now Batsy... It's time! Our final tango! I told you, one of us isn't going to walk away from this..." he chimed, laughing aloud, acidic eyes wide with joy, emerald hair cascading onto pale skin, completely unconcerned over Darkseid or the approaching Parademons, THEY had unfinished business.

Green Arrow and co. had been on their end trying desperately to fend off the lone Parademon that seemed to hold a grudge like none other with them. It was a tough alien foe, not their usual type of bad guy, but this whole situation could be said for the same. Dinah uses her patented Canary Cry to try and take it off it's game but to no avail it keeps on coming back. Green Arrow leans back firing various trick arrows as the Parademon swats him away causing him to roll some feet away. Getting up, he sees the Parademon take off as if they'd finally run him off. GA looks toward the team with a stoic expression under his domino. And as he turns, he braces himself as the Parademon is coming head on again at Spartan and Black Canary, this time dispensing from his mouth a great ember.

Ollie knows they have no real place to go so he hurriedly gets to his feet, taking off toward them, knocking both of them out of the way as he falls to the ground. Sitting there, Green Arrow looks up at his fate realizing he doesn't have the chance to say any farewell words to his brother-in-arms nor girlfriend who he hadn't had the chance to propose to. And as he is burned to a crisp by the fire so is the ring he hid secretly.

It wasn't long until everyone was packed up and ready to go to Metropolis. After Deadshot told Pamela to get the hell out of the area, she tossed him a Walkie talkie that fortunately still works. Just before he wanted to kiss her good luck she quickly sprung into action with her Godzilla like plant and began to slaughter parademons horde after horde. Without a moment to lose, Deadshot orderd the bus to get a move on as he continues firing the 50.cal machine gun mounted on the top. Surviving two years with these flying freakshows paid off for Lawton because of the fact he spent tons of time finding new ways on how to kill these beast with saving a single round. Using his skills he managed to mow these parademons easily. As he continued his onslaught of shooting he received a transmission from Ivy. "Avoid the Slums and head upwards to Gothams upper side, both bridges leading to the island are blocked, the roads seem clear enough in the heart of the city... I don't imagine Mindless peons of Darkseid can set traps, but we should be a bit more cautious...We'll be along shortly aft..." Then the radio cut quietly. He frantaically called "Ivy? Come in!." Enraged of what could of happened to her fired several rounds ferociously at the parademons. "YOU BASTRDS WILL PAY FOR THIS! IM GOING TO FORCE DOWN LEAD IN YOUR THROATS!!". Then a sign of relief came as she came back to the radio "--Sorry, a*****e got a little grabby, on our way now, following, we'll keep them off your back, we gotta make this work!" Muttering under his mask "son of a b***h. Hopefully she didn't hear what i said."

Following her instructions, the bus headed to the freeway areas pushing debris and corpses of the parademons with the heavily modified plower in the front of the bus. The ride to Metropolis seemed quite repetitive, the bus is moving foward, Ivy covering their asses from the back, and Deadshot salughtering the parademons from the sides and front. It seemed as if it would never end. Moments later, Metropolis is now in view. The city was covered by the green dome which only Green Latern could create. Finally, after two years of hell, he can finally live in peace, as well as the others Ivy had saved. However Deadshot's joy was short live as the infamous Darkseid appeared before his eyes and shatters not only the dome but Deadshot and the people's hopes for life. Angered and saddened, he contacts Ivy. "We are already too late...It's over. I guess, it was my fault for taking them here. I'm sorry Ivy....." 'How could this be?' he thought to himself. Feeling as if it was his fault. He got down from the machine gun post and down inside the bus. The first things he saw as soon as he got down were children weeping, people talking ill about him, parents trying to settle their young, and more sobbing. A man sitting down yelled at Deadshot " We were a lot safer back at Gotham! You doomed us all!". Deadshot shaking his head and holding back a tear. "I know I haved brought you up to this mess and now it's time for me to clean it up. The dome was just shattered moments ago, so I'm pretty sure Green Latern or the other heroes have some kind of bunker or way to protect you guys." Looking at the driver Deadshot nods his head. "You are now in charge of this, now head towards that city and look for help. Don't worry this bus is heavily armored, it would probably take them hours for them to tear it apart. It was nice knowing all of yall. And no matter what, don't give up...." Deadshot remembered he stored his motorcycle in the back of the bus during the upgradings a while ago. Deadshot put on his backpack and start switching out food and water for ammo but more importantly explosives. He then hopped on the motorcycle and drove off from the emergency exit door from the back. As he made it to a safe distance between him and the bus, he grabbed a grenade launcher in his backpack and shot a group of parademons that were heading towards the bus. The parademons started to ignore the bus and found out that he is a force to be taken out first. Just as he planned it, the parademons followed him. As he started to lead the parademons away, he messaged Ivy. "Ivy, I just want to say thank you for saving my sorry a** back there. If we both somewhat survive, how about a little date before the end of the world?" As much as he wants this request to be true, his motorcycle is going to run out of fuel sometime and when that time comes, he would then decide to sacrifice his life to take down many of these beast with him.

Just when Hal thought things could die down for another few months, the unthinkable began to unfold. Accompanied by his fellow Green Lantern, all they could do was watch while Superman made his appearance to the rest of the people present to look upon him. He called out for Darkseid, the one responsible for all of this. "Dammit, I hope he was getting stronger while he was off doing god knows what. The hell does he think is gonna happen?" Said Hal, really talking to no one but himself though the others around him could hear. He watched all the way from his stationary position while the Parademons hacked and slashed at the Man of Steel. Would he really go down so easily? If anything, he was their last hope to end all of this. To lose Superman would mean that all is lost. It was something Hal Jordan accepted a long time ago after so many Green Lanterns themselves lost their lives battle after battle.

The commotion that came from the Parademons began to slow exponentially ultimately coming to a halt. "I think I preferred their chant," His attempt at humor at a situation growing into something dangerous was poor and only left him more nervous, hoping they would just continue and pick back up their senseless swipes at the dome like they've been doing for months. No, something was different. Someone was coming. Off in the distance, he appeared. The one who orchestrated it all was here to finally exact business on his own. You had to be stupid to not know what that meant for the ragtag group of defenders that remained. He was a few miles out at least yet his voice carried all the way down to Hal and then some. "Oh..god.." Hal uttered in between a whispered gasp.

In a matter of seconds that followed, twin beams of crimson energy shot from Darkseid's eyes, traveling at great speeds towards the dome. Flexing his arm tighter, he did his best to brace the dome for the impact but to no avail. The beams of energy shattered the dome like no other, not even his generals had been able penetrate the dome powered by will. He was a true force to be reckoned with, he doubted even Superman could match his might. With all of their protection shattered, the chanting picked up once again, though this time it seemed all the more vicious. The parademons had laid eyes on their prey, not behind the shielding of a Green Lantern dome but a straight path towards the heroes and villains of earth to be ripped to shreds.

All before Hal could make a move, the fighting picked up, the first of the casualties were set. He saw it all, the fire that burned away at Oliver Queen all before performing an act of selflessness by saving his closest friends. He was too late to do anything about it, too late to react and save a friend. His glare appeared more prominent than ever under his signature green mask, fist clenched as tight as ever right before he darted off into the sky at the horde of incoming parademons. Using his ring to create a simple broad sword and shield, he mowed through the wave ahead of him, slicing through their bodies to let them fall towards the ground. "Come on, freaks! Take it!" Their numbers had seemingly increased tenfold, the force of their attacks proved to be much more vigorous and straining. Taking the shield construct in hand, Hal bashed parademons left and right expecting the numbers to soon thin if he kept trying.

Hal then descended down, just above the ground to create another construct, this time a standard generic emerald fighter jet. With swift motions of his ring hand, the fighter jet flew back and forth ramming into the swarm that tried to push forward. Their bodies were ripped to sickening shreds behind the force of impact. Too caught up in what was in front of him, Hal left himself completely wide open for an attack from behind, soon feeling sharp teeth bore into his skin. Another construct formed from the ring, this time encompassing the entirety of his hand. He turned about, swinging his fist up straight up at the parademon sending it flying through the air to end up making contact with unsuspecting parademons in the orange sky. The Green Lantern's breathing picked up more before he began fighting, already starting off lower than what he needed while he had a part in using energy to keep the dome up.

Just as he was ready to pick up the fight once more, he was thrown to the ground by one of the enemy, rushing to make the kill. Hal put his hand up, ready to use his imagination to send the creature to kingdom-come but was stopped in his tracks as the parademon used it's abnormal hands to grab Hal's own to stop him from using his ring. He struggled under it's strength, gritting his teeth, with his arm staggering under the weight as more and more of the enemy began to circle the Lantern.

User Image

The light from his ring began to glow brighter than before, triggering a bright green light that encompassed both himself and the horde of parademons that circled around him. He got up to feet as fast as possible, propelling the evil that was Darkseid's minions high into the sky and away from his person. "Ring? How many are out there?" Hal called over the snarling and chanting of incoming parademons. The lantern dodged and weaved at their attacks, sending simple thin beams of green energy back at them to pierce their exterior.

1,102,314... The voice within the ring spoke out, followed by a ping.

Hal scoffed at the number, almost laughable that they had all of that to mow down. Pulling his hand back, Hal sent another blast, bigger than the last few down on another set of parademons.

1,102,311... The ring prompted again with another ping shortly after.

With the next wave put down, Hal stumbled to his knees coughing madly over and over. At your current rate of success, failure is certain. Replied the ring one more time. It wasn't over, it wouldn't be over this time. They couldn't win this no matter what they brought to the table. They fought a losing battle right from the start and they were only now just realizing. As another set of parademons flew in hot towards the Green Lantern, he rose up some, now only propped on one knee as he stared into the face of imminent death. Inhaling and exhaling slowly, Hal raised his hand up to the sky, a bright green glowing up above him, eyes still trained on the threat in front.

User Image

"In brightest day... in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight! Let those who worship evil's might, beware my power -- Green Lantern's lig-," Cut off from finishing the oath, the green that shined above him faded into nothing. Hal couldn't find the words to say anything anymore, as if he had forgotten it all in a moment's notice. His head knelt down to spot a set of sharp claws covered in blood sticking right through his chest. Blood began to fill his mouth, slowly dripping from the corner. Explosions, screams, For Darkseid was all that he could hear as everything started to get cloudy and eventually go dark. The last thing he caught was his ring slipping away from his finger, naturally to shoot off into the sky, back to it's creators.

Razorblade Smiles

Despite the world ending around them, the Bat and the Clown still found time to banter back and forth as usually for a little over a decade now. Some things never changed, even when faced with the end of the world. "I should have put you down like a wild dog a long time ago," The vigilante said, in a tone only the two of them could hear. Batman put the gun up to The Joker's abdomen, glaring past the deep black cowl. With another explosion sounded off from the maniac's device, the gun was aimed even higher right for his forehead. "Drop it, now!" He demanded, never taking his eyes off of him. It was meaningless to cast aside so many parademons while ending a multitude of innocent lives that were unlucky enough to be within the vicinity of the explosion.

Called away from his long time battle with his nemesis, Batman pulled back to look upon the events that transpired. Superman had arrived, calling Darkseid out to the playing field. Is that really what he wanted? A battle he knew he couldn't win? The months leading up to this final battle, Batman had learned of his allies' condition, no doubt worsening up to this point. Coming to grips within the situation, Batman sighed to himself. "He can't win." He said, confirming it for himself. The way the parademons swarmed him and hacked at his Kryptonian flesh was disheartening, earth's champion fell so easily in his weakened state. Not very convincing for those still fighting the good fight. When all else failed; the dome fell and the parademons took to the sky once more. With one hand on his utility belt and the other still holding onto the gun, Batman aimed high ready to give it all he had.

In a matter of seconds, Batman was unsuspectingly thrown to the ground, the white faced psychopath cackling over him going on and on about their final dance. Two sides of the same coin, Harvey Dent would have appreciated that. With his free hand, Batman struggled underneath the clown's own force, trying to finally snuff his nemesis out once and for all. He was always about saving the kill of The Batman for his own self, not even the end of the world could make him realize how foolish their one big game really was. "Neither of us are making it out of this," He said in a low, assured tone. Batman still had their ace in the hole waiting for his chance. He knew what it would take to set their trump card in motion, aware of what it would mean for him and everyone else who were now caught up in the mess that was Darkseid's attack.

Wells began form a wide smile across his face. He knew he could run, and hold on for a bit longer - but why? Why run from the inevitable. It was in this moment that Harrison Wells saw that Darkseid was here - an name that will still send shivers down spines in the 25th Century. It was over, but Wells could not stop smiling. The decadent 21st Century believed that smiling helped to ease the passing of pain by releasing endorphins - but that wasn't the reason he was smiling. This was not about the be the first time that Eobard Thawne did not have a Plan B. He had planted the seed in Barry's subconscious whilst talking with him over the com-link, planted the idea to Time Travel. But now? Now all he needed was someone to say the words to him, to bring it out. As the emerald dome began to dissipate, Wells looked up above him and took a deep breath. He suddenly felt himself changing.

His face was morphing, and his body was growing taller. The man left was one that no one on this Earth would have known. The dome now ceased to exist, and it very much mimiced what was coming for the man sitting there. It began with his arms and feet, as they began to disintergrate and merge with the temporal fabrics of the timeline, mending its wound. It was consuming him rapidly, and as it approached his head - the man let out a cry of pain.

Having missed most of his words due to a tussle with a passing Parademon that had tried to throw her off, she replied back to Him, "--Repeat last transmission, I missed it..." though in some parallel universe if she had heard it, Ivy would have been flattered to some degree, especially coming from a hard a** like Lawton, but before she could get her answer, she saw exactly what he had seen in the distance, what had depressed his hope so easily, there shattering the sanctuary they'd fought to arrive at, was the power mad God, Darkseid, ready to deliver the final blow, and with it wipe out the Justice League. At his heels, forced into a kneel was their Trump card, beaten down, Ivy knew exactly what this meant, no chance in hell they... Even with all their powers combined, could defeat the God. Crackling back on the radio, voice solemn, Floyd spoke, "--We are already too late...it's over,I guess it was my fault for taking them here. I'm sorry Ivy," suddenly she became defensive, shaking her head, no way she wasn't going down so easily, "--Bullshit! Don't you dare blame yourself, we both agreed that we needed to go to Metropolis, but that we couldn't leave them on their own, there's no way we could have known," the exotic inhuman red head hissed, watching as he selflessly drove the motorcycle out the back of the bus skidding away guns blaring, allowing the bus to get away unscathed as the swarm of demons followed him close, the damn fool trying to play the hero, "--Ivy I just want to say Thankyou for saving my sorry a**, back there. If we both somewhat survive, how about a little date before the end of the world?" shaking her head, voice stern, she replied, "--You'll get your date Lawton, but you better not die on me, no dumb heroic s**t, come back in one piece a*****e, or I'll crossover and KICK your sorry a**," she joked, only sounding slightly serious, humor clouding the worry. Dissapearing safely behind Adams cilia within his maw, she instructed casually, "Dive," and without another moment further, down he went shattering the ruined Earth below, surfacing only to retrieve the bus as it drove into its awaiting mouth just as she had done, in times before. Closing around its frame, it dove back down below, moving stealthily out of sight despite its size. Ivy imagined the safest place in Metropolis for now, was nestling the bus safely below the rise of ruined skyscrapers along the edge of the city, the attention would be off the area, focused on the League, if herself or Adam didn't return to free the Bus and its occupants from their underground prison, they could simply drive out to freedom, or at worse break open the fortified Windows and walk out, they'd have plenty of food, water and ammunition if they faced a stand off. Assuring the rescued citizens they'd be safe, and to stay put, she'd Speak again, "--Deadshot, the package is secure, get the hell out of there..." it was set in her mind, they were going to make it together or not at all (where together was Pamela didn't know, but somewhere) Uncertain of his status, uncertain over the condition of his bike, Ivy would take no chances, with expedience the lady traveled, no risks wagered, calculating where Lawton would be estimated on his ride, projected by the vibrations in the ground, Red appeared once again behind him shattering the soil, ready to lend a hand, if he needed it, and more so a ride if his bike crapped out on him. Adam attacking the swarms once more at the sultry maidens behest, "--Sorry, I don't intend to let you die, we've got to finish this one way or another," Next stop was to be the heart of Metropolis, Batman needed news of Gotham, as bittersweet as a few dozens survivors were, in comparison to the overall loss, and the rest needed all the extra aid they could get if they suffered even the slightest chance against the being Darkseid.

PAST: When the first attacks arrived from Apokolips everything went to hell. It was bad enough that Gotham City was known to be violent but nothing like theses attacks could out number them. Skies had gotten dark and gloomy looked as if the world was about come to an end. Many cries and screams were shared in terror from the civilians. As for the baddies, it took a toll on them as well! Pissed that someone, something, much greater than them was taking their place. Many people went into hiding even including Harley Quinn herself. At the time of the attacks Harley was stationed in Arkham Asylum, up until an officer had accidentally unlocked her cell by slamming down on a button, that was behind his desk that was caused by panicking about Apokolips. Taking advantage of the opportunity to flee, that’s what she did. Skipping out the doors and not looking back. Hey eye’s lit up as well did her smile, she was astonished by the amount of damage that had been done and quite frankly she was a bit jealous. The entire city was complete s**t now that is if it wasn't before hand. Harley knew that whomever this god like creature was that she couldn’t take him on her own, so instead of waiting around for help Harley took cover in a subway under Arkham City. Not only was it closed off from the chaos but she had access through the city and even better outside of city. Before running into the subway Harley wasn’t going to be caught wearing the hideous Arkham pajamas they gave every inmate. Looking around if any stores or outlets was still standing. She was in luck, there was a small sporting and goods store that had only minimal damage to it. Helping herself to free clothes, Harley managed to find a red and white baseball tee, red and blue booty shorts, black and white shoes and a baseball bat. Headed towards the station she was swarmed by these unordinary creatures, something you would call an alien. Smashing a few with her bat one had gotten a good punch that was going to leave a black eye. Brushing that punch off, she smiled. “ Ah c’mon Mistah J hits meh harder!” Swinging her bat into the alien's skull she blew it a kiss then one final blow to the skull. “ Goodnight, sweet dreams hehe” Giggling as she skipped to the subway station.

PRESENT DAY: Not only has Gotham City covered in rubble but so is every other city except for Metropolis. Metropolis was basically the only safe city or so to speak. The word has it is that Villains and Heros are actually uniting to stand against Apokolips, and to help take back what was once theirs. Even though Harley hadn’t been outside of the subway in a quite some time she still had intel on everything, no thanks to her new pair of henchmen that she found wondering around the city scared and angry right after the attack. Harley tried to stayed low as much as she could, as much of a lunatic she was this was something way too powerful for her to just toy around with. That’s why she would send her workers out, their lives are not as valuable as hers. The subway wasn’t the best of places but it sure was cozy for the time being. She made a few friends that being a few rats, and a lady who ran down in subway during the attacks. Though she died not to long afterwards from Harley baseball bat reason being is she ate Harley’s animal crackers that she managed to find on her own. Not much positive things has happened recently nor has anything exciting happened. Harley tried to stayed low as much as she could, as much of a lunatic she was this was something way too powerful for her to just toy around with. With staying low also meant not hearing or seeing any of her friends like Killer Croc, Poison Ivy, Deadshot, and even her dear Joker.

“ Harley, the rumors are true we’re colliding sides with the Justice League on this one.” said Buck the more masculine and dumber henchmen. Huh? Oh dis sounds kinda fun.Time fer some whackin and smashin. ” Harley said getting up from the cold bench that she had been sleeping on and had carved the letter J and H in a heart shape. “ You sure that's a good idea H-harley?” said Hank the other henchmen who was the puss of the group but knew how to scavenge for food and important accessoires. “ Of course I do, besides I’m bored of dis place punk. ” She said snapping at the weakling. The entrance to the subway had been closed off from the fallen debris, so there was no way of using that way, so they had to use the tunnels. The cold and damp tunnels felt like a long lasting, never ending adventure. Soon enough the tunnel came to an end. “ shoo glad dats over, these feet of mine hurt.” Saying as she chewed on a stale piece of gum as she walked out of a substation that had led her to Metropolis, no wonder why her feet was hurting. Looking from left to right trying to make sense what happened that day. Breaking her concentration a familiar and distinctive spine chilling laugh was heard pretty close by. “ Puddins, could it really be?” Her grin grew bigger and followed the sound of the echoing laugh. Getting closer and closer to the laugh she found her lost love, but standing with Batman. She was shocked that all that time she was taking cover that good and bad was going to get along for once. It was one thing she was hoping to accomplish as a psychologist many years ago, that the so called good would side and see the bad guys point of view for once. Walking up to the scene, she could sense some uncomfortable tension form the Joker and the bat. It wasn't long before the Clown and Bat started to throw down. Instead of helping her sweetheart, she stood back and watched. “ Hiya! Well if it isn't two of my favorite boys. Looks like we're having fun here, Jokey get em good.” She said looking over at Batman.

Before...

"Gliding would get me there faster, but the wind isn't strong enough for me to make it the entire way there." He thought to himself, as he rolled onto a rooftop, then continued running along it. "I guess there is no harm in not trying though." And with that thought, he lept off the building and used his cape to close the remaining distance from him and the Parademon on his tail from before.

Robin landed softly on a low building by Darksed's flying irritations. He knew other things were happening around him but he wasn't able to focus on them because he, himself, was in danger. He shot his grapple gun once more and swung through the air towards the Parademon. He quickly took out one of his disks and threw it at it's face, and once it hit, made the Parademon shoot flames over at the building he had already been shooting at feeding the flames. Robin had landed right next to another low rooftop, pulling out his bo staff ready for it's retaliation.

However, just then he sees the dome completely torn down and his eyes widen behind his mask. Tim can't believe it...now several hordes of Parademons are let right in to do whatever they please. In his distraction he stands there frozen feeling pain ooze from his side. Looking down he sees a big gash and to his horror - right next to his face is a Parademon screeching loud and proud, "FORDARKSEID!!" Tim drops to his knees as the metallic claws rip out of his person. The Parademon flies away screeching...

Now...

"I don't..." he coughs sitting next to the roof entrance leaned against it. "I don't know how much longer, I'll last, Bruce. I just wanted to say thank you for allowing me to be Robin by your side. You've been more like a father to me than my own...Don't let them win, Bruce. Goodbye..." Tim says, ending his comm sitting there with somewhat of a smile believing his mentor, father figure, and friend can do it.

On his knees, held by Parademons to keep him aware of the events unfolding is Metropolis' Champion, at least that's what he was. Before this sickness, before the invasion, Superman was what you thought he was. He was a means to hope for the people. Hope that they could rest their heads at night without being scared. Hopes they could better themselves and the people around them. Yes, this is the symbol that he was. He embraced it too. Then it all changed when Darkseid attacked. Superman was away fighting another fight when he heard word of the news. By then, he'd already been sickened from nanites exuding microscopic kryptonite radiation.

His plan was to soak up as much as the red sun as possible but when that failed, he took to the Fortress of Solitude in hopes he could speak to his father, Jor-El. And he did. Jor-El, telling him that he was put on this planet to be a symbol - sick or not, he should be there fighting alongside his people. Thus, was his choice to go in spite of being sick but embellish his sickness when he would be blindsided by the Parademons. Superman had the plan in mind to go and let himself be captured. He was weak, yes, but he also needed to get closer to Darkseid and he knew the only way to do that was to not be a threat.

Now, he watches in horror as his friends fall one by one. Green Arrow, Hal, Robin...it's all too much. His blood boils as his eyes glow a bright rich red. He turns facing the left side Parademon using his heat vision to blind it and furthermore extinguish it's head from it's shoulders before turning around to stop the Parademon on the right from scratching him again using his freeze-breath to completely freeze the Parademon then his heat vision to rip it in half. Superman slowly begins standing to his feet as he turns to Darkseid now. "No, Darkseid. Watch as I make you pay for all that you've caused here." Superman says, raw intensity burning his eyes as he for the time being puts aside his sickness and charges at Darkseid for one last fight.
