User Name: AstoriaFallen
Name: Autarkes (ow-tar'-kace)
Reasoning for name: His mother wishes for him to be self sufficient and strong enough to need no aid or support. I like to look up the names of the parents to see what they mean. I chose Autarkes because it fits the idea I have for him. You'll see below.
Temper: Omit please smile
Are you an active RPer?: Yes
Are you willing to continue the Raven Lord tradition?: Yes
----------------
Personality: Autarkes is everything his name depicts and much more. He's going to follow his fathers take on life, wanting to prove to the world that spawn from Hell's Fire cannot be tamed. He's going to be very independent and not rely too much on others to achieve the goals he has set for himself. While he may have a bit of a mean-spirited personality to outsiders he will show restrain when dealing with his family, more particularly with Allide's love mate. For whatever reason (when she's customed) he finds himself particularly protective of her. Beyond that he's pretty absent of familial emotion.
Plot Ideas: These are strictly dependent on what features he is born with.

  • He will ultimately want to become part of the Abhorrent Class when his Raven partner eventually comes to an age that it's either death for it or becoming one with his bonded. The other option would be if something were to happen to his Raven, in which case he would likely kill whatever was the cause for that. (This is dependent on what features he's born with and if he's able to become cursed.) It will eventually lead to him seeking out to become part of the Resplendent Class after being cursed. He will have set up a way for him to become charmed after being cursed. So this will require quite a few plots. Someone to create a charm for him and someone to put it on him after he finds someone to curse him.
  • If he's born with Fire Suti features he will become part of the Primordial Class. He will want to hone in on his fire abilities so that he can become more powerful and ultimately be completely independent. By any means this will not take away from his focus on his Raven companion, but he will do his best to split his time equally between the two.
  • (If born with suit features) Like Father, Like Son. He will seek out their father primarily so he can teach him how to use his abilities. He will likely want to pick his brain for everything he knows so he can gain more knowledge of the world he has seen already. It will give him a better understanding of where he will fit in the lands that will lay before him when he becomes an adult.
  • If born without suti features he will follow the Dedicated Class and learn all he can about his Raven companion and figure out ways in which it can be of great use to him in the long run.
  • I like a little family drama every now and again, I would like for him to get into a disagreement with one of his siblings. Whether or not it leads to him never talking to one of the again is going to be up to the plot details and the owner of the sibling. This could even be towards another family member besides direct siblings.
  • If he has suti abilities I would like for something to happen in which he first becomes aware that he has the ability to bend fire to his will. Obviously it will be when he's a foal and he will not have any control over what just happened and this will set him on his path to become Primodrial.

----------------
Choose your own entry: He had always been independent, ever since he was first able to make a conscious thought and found himself often alone. Which didn't bother him by any means. He liked the silence so he could sort his thoughts. Autarkes unfurled his wings and stared into the fading sunlight. The orange orb of light disappearing behind the vast mountains leaving the lands around him shrouded in darkness. This was one of the few times in which he could gaze upon the sun without it hurting his eyes and he admired it because not only was it was similar to the colors of his siblings, but it was also the color of fire. Golden gaze flashed as a devious smile formed upon his muzzle, he often dreamed of fire and one day he would see the world covered in. However, that time was a long ways off and he was going to bid his time until the opportune moment.

User Name: Amirynth
Name: Shamsiel, Souzan, Ātashé del-am, or Khouri/Kaliri
Reasoning for name:
------ Shamsiel - A fallen angel from the Book of Enoch. They taught the signs of the sun. This would be a wish for him to learn his fire powers and burn 'bright as the sun'.
------ Souzan, Ātashé del-am - Souzan is an Arabic name meaning 'burning heart', while Ātashé del-am means 'The Fire of my Heart'. With his warm personality this name would serve him well. While Apocrypha is a biblical name, I wanted to go further back to its more ancient roots. I looked through most names with an Arabic or Persian influence to find this one.
------ Khouri/Kaliri - Khouri is 'priest' in Arabic and the priests were know to be the teachers in Old Testament times and often served as such. Because I have plans on him becoming a teacher when he grows up, Khouri would be a reflection on that. Also, his raven would be called Kaliri to reflect his RavenLord heritage. Kaliri are the birds that the Arakkoa use as messengers whom Anzu and the RavenLords are connected to.
Temper: Warm
Are you an active RPer?: I am more an active plotter. While I do love to RP my schedual makes things difficult. I do plan on getting back into it at some point but for now I keep things going with plots.
Are you willing to continue the Raven Lord tradition?: Oh most definitely yes! I have been wanting to join the RavenLords from its conception. I even tried last time: [x]
----------------
Personality: Like the slow, burning embers that sit in the fireplace for the evening while people around them chatter and socialize, this Raven Lord has a warm heart and a warmer soul. At first he will try to hide such 'warmth' because he considers it a weakness. He feels he should be aggressive, protective, and not interested in the niceties that come with being graceful in social situations. During the lessons he learns while he grows up, he'll figure out that not only is his curiosity in others and his tendency to be kind and gentle before anything else, a good thing, but they also can be worthy traits to be cultivated and developed.

He'll develop an enjoyment out of observing others and learning about their intricacies. He'll also has a fascination with history and lore. When he grows up he will probably become a Dedicated Class and may, with his parents blessing, decide to explore the territories near by to learn of their histories and fables. If he happened to find love outside of the herd, he would be sure to bring them back to live with them and the rest of the family.

Plot Ideas: I have two paths for them, though my plot ideas would still happen if either of the paths are chosen. One is if they leave the territories to explore for a while, and the other if they decides to stay. Even if he did leave, it wouldn't be for long and if he had any children they would be brought into the family to be raised as proper RavenLords.

I must find where I belong: While he would be a better fit for the Dedicated Class, at first he is going to find trouble in picking a path. If he chooses to follow the Primordial Class and focus more on his fire magics he'll probably try to become a guard or something similar. Using his imposing appearance he tries his best but his friendly and open nature do not work well for such tasks. Eventually he decides to go off and find a new path.

A bird in the hand: Maybe he has dreams of becoming a Conspiracy Class, he attempts to bring other ravens into his 'flock' but just doesn't have the talent for it. He is much better at teaching young-ones rather than commanding a large group. After a time he finally realizes it is not for him but not before possible hurting someone's feelings (his bonded raven). It is upon apologizing to his bonded that he realizes that he has a place and a task he is suited for, he just needs to chose the right path to do so.

I shall learn on the go: If/when he decides to travel to learn about other cultures I may have him run into my Rukhmar. It would be interesting for him to learn of other older cultures and maybe they could find commonality in their lore (or contrasts if that become more apparent). It would be this that sparks his love for learning and discussions which he rejects at first because he wanted to follow in his father's foot-steps.
Blade-dancer Rukhmar - Female Sunblessed Arakkoa, feisty, quick-witted, righteous
Short blurb - Rukhmar takes after her name-sake and is a fiery golden red with burnt tips to her wings. Much like Icarus she flew too close to the sun and got burned, cast out of the Sunblessed society for arguing against her elders. She felt the cursed Arakkoa were unjustly punished and wanted to strive to see the two sides work together to fix the drought issue. Finding herself stripped of her title and rank she joined forces with Ranjit and pledged to help the remaining Shadowseeker find a new home in the Kawani lands.

A teacher by heart: Souzan has a fondness for children and if he stays within the herd territories there is a good chance he will become a teacher, especially if he becomes a historian and teacher of the lore and stories of the Raven Lords. After figuring out his calling, he settles down into his position happily, taking care of the children of the herd and making sure they learn the proper way to be RavenLords.

The past comes in useful: He takes his class to a special place that has great significance to the RavenLords, however it has been spoiled by a small group of Kalona, or maybe even a Walker. The children are in danger and he must protect them. His experience as a guard, even if not very well, comes back to him and he is able to fight off the attackers while herding the kids to safety. He'll probably get injured in the process but he'll learn that even if he is not the best at something, just a little bit of knowledge can go a long way.

It was getting close to nightfall when Souzan realized how much time had passed. He had been watching the others prepare for one of the festivals that were coming up soon. Fascinated with the preparations, he had lost track of time and now, unless he ran as fast as he were able to, the foal would not get home before the sun had sank way below the horizon. While he was not exactly afraid of the dark, there were many things out there which were stronger and more powerful than the foal. "Mama is not going to be happy," he thought to himself as he started a quick gallop through the grasses. Already, the air was nipping around him as he hurried back home. With breath coming quick he suddenly paused in their flight, ears twitching. Planting his feet down into the ground, the foal eyed his surroundings, trying to figure out where the rustling sounds were coming from.

"Show yourself! I'm not scared." That was a lie, but he had been told it was better to seem unafraid than let fear take over. "Come out so that I can see you." He looked around again, the last moments of dusk surrounding him with a cool darkness. The rustling came again and, ears twitching, he were able to figure out a direction. Advancing slowly, the foal came across a bird, wings flapping hard against a vine that had wrapped around their foot. The poor thing was dragging a rather large log behind it which pinned the feathered creature to the ground, leaving them open for predators. The bird, almost invisible in the shadows with exception to a bright red crest, attempted to fly backwards away from the foal before alighting on the ground.

Souzan bent his head until it was close to the bird, realizing it was one of the many ravens which flew around the herd territories. "I'm not going to hurt you. Here..." He tried to get his teeth around the vine to bite it through but the raven tried to take off again. "Hold still!" With a quick movement, he gently nudged away the frantic bird and bit at the vine, freeing the raven which shot up into the sky. Souzan looked up into the starry expanse and realized they were now very very late. Hopefully his mother would not be too cross and at least now he had a valid reason for being so. Quickly the foal started back toward home once again, not noticing they were now being followed by a silent feathery shadow.

Teh Cheryl

User Name: Teh Cheryl
Name: Kasyade
Reasoning for name: Following the theme of his siblings and grandfather, Kasyade is an alternate name for Tamiel, a fallen angel from the Book of Enoch, whose name has potential translations as “covered hand" or "hidden power”. The name was given to him with the hope that he would become a powerful but discreet player in the world—a puppetmaster able to read others and steer them unknowingly to his will.
Temper: Deceitful
Are you an active RPer?: Yes! I prefer RP over background plotting and prefer RPing in the guild threads.
Are you willing to continue the Raven Lord tradition?: Yes!
----------------
Personality: Kasyade was aptly named. Outwardly, Kasyade is kind, with a gentle, unassuming demeanor but an iron will that will defend his friends to the end. He offers aid freely in his wandering, amassing companions and binding them to him with sweet but awkward fumbling words and dramatic acts of loyalty. His personality appears so different from his parents and when asked about his family, Kasyade will stutter, awkward and endearing, about the limits of family loyalty for the ‘child who is different’. Sometimes, he’ll even cry.

Inwardly, however, Kasyade seeks power and influence and having grown up under the tutelage of the best liar and manipulator there is, weaving lies is second nature to him. He knows that loyalty is better to be bought with love than fear, harder to earn but less lightly to break. He never underestimates the ability of people to lie to them themselves about the supposed good intentions of those they love. He will often pit his companions against each other, fanning the flames of malcontent on both sides as he twists their words all under the guise of attempting to help. To an outsider he actions would appear nonsensical, but Kasyade always has an end game.

He seeks to avoid his mother’s mistake in being known as a liar, because no matter how good one, that lingering doubt might someday undermine his influence. As a result, even amongst his family, his keeps his soft, bumbling façade up—perhaps to the great disdain of his siblings and mother. Kasyade suspects his mother knows the truth, but he trusts his family to keep it to themselves. Kasyade is, after all, absolutely loyal to his family despite what he might say or do.

As a Raven Lord, Kasyade would likely be a Dedicated Raven Lord and would bind himself closely to one raven who would know him better than all others. This companion would be just as apt in deception as he would be and their close connection would add authenticity to Kasyade’s plots, often acting as the bait or the lure. Maybe later, Kasyade would enter Conspiracy class, using his network of ravens to whisper secrets and news into his ear. Despite his ‘Suti blood, Kasyade has little interest in the powers of magic and manipulation of elements. The game is much more entertaining when your only weapons are your words.

Plot Ideas:
The Prince :: Kasyade as a youth stumbles upon a strange herd (or herds) and observes. Some herd leaders are demanding and unkind while others are loved and flocked upon. What does he see exactly that makes Kasyade believe that winning loyalty from love is worth the effort?

All the World’s a Stage :: Kasyade builds his persona from very young but even he does not emerge from his basket already a master manipulator. As he grows and discovers what he can accomplish from others underestimating him, he works to slowly starts to transform his personality from the quiet, sullen foal he was to the, seemingly, harmless and kind adult others will eventually view him to be. (Likely to be done in a series of RPs with one or two others that show his slow and methodical transformation into something that appears to be much less threatening.)

Come Into My Parlor
:: Kasyade plans a meeting. Finding a lone mare or stallion, perhaps a warrior, medic, scholar or just someone who looks useful, Kasyade orchestrates a dramatic meeting. It may involve paying off mercenaries, feigning to be in distress, drawn blood, and likely the eventual death of someone unimportant, but Kasyade needs to have the ear of someone important and he knows exactly how to do it.

Curtain Call
:: Eventually, one of Kasyade’s companions will discover all of lies and secrets. Or maybe, Kasyade starts feeling real love and affection for those had only saw as his puppet. Either way, Kasyade re-examines who he is and how far he is willing to go for power. (Late, late, late adult plotline.)

----------------
Choose your own entry:

Kasyade hummed as he walked, wings tucked tight against his body and a slight spring in his step. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and his latest investment had been shown to be paying off quite nicely. The sweet little thing of a stallion he had ‘stumbled’ across a fortnight ago had practically worshipped Kasyade, drinking in every word that he said as though it were the gospel. Kasyade loved that feeling, the feeling of holding someone’s heart between his hooves and knowing that he could lead it astray at any moment and that, eventually, if he chose, Kasyade would stomp it into the ground and watch it bleed.

Kasyade hummed a bit louder in satisfaction at the thought. He had told the sweet little thing to stay put, having set them up in a warm, cozy cave on the outskirts of the forest while his sprained ankle healed. Sweet Thing (as Kasyade mentally dubbed the oh-so-grateful stallion) had looked devastated when Kasyade said he had to leave and had begged to come along. Kasyade had entertained the idea of a moment before shaking his head, eyes sad as he pushed the other away. As much as I would like the company, he had said, offering a shy smile, you had best return to your family. They must be worried, after all. Kasyade had done his best to look regretful at the thought but was stubborn and they parted ways. Kasyade would find Sweet Thing again in a few weeks, just long enough for him to rejoin his herd and spin heroic tales of his rescue. Kasyade would stumble by them, and reunited, the grateful stallion would introduce him to his mother who led a small herd on the outskirts of the Northern Valley. Or, Kasyade considered thoughtfully, perhaps he would lead Sweet Thing astray a bit—there were a small herd of, rather dim but moderately useful, mercenaries a day’s walk away. Or, perhaps he could set a nearby skinwalker on the devastated thing and herd him south toward the desert. Or perhaps he could set the mercenaries on himself and have Sweet Thing come to his rescue. Kasyade was confident that the other would come to his defense, and if not, well—guilt was an even easier emotion to manipulate.

Decision, decision,
Kasyade thought. So very many decisions.

User Name: belloblossom
Name: Kukhmet
Reasoning for name: A combination of the Egyptian gods of fire (Sekhmet) and darkness (Kuk). The name was given to the foal in hopes that he would grow to be exceedingly powerful and be able to carry his title with dignity.
Temper: Formidable
Are you an active RPer?: Yes, though when life has its way of getting in mine, I am inclined towards heavily plotting. I check Gaia daily, even if I can't always reply to my RPs.
Are you willing to continue the Raven Lord tradition?: Yes!
----------------
Personality: Kukmet is a Raven Lord through birthright and he is determined to prove himself to his mother, his grandmother and his ancestors before them. He wants to rise to every challenge, to prove himself a strong leader and become a respected Raven Lord that every Soquili, regardless of rank, looks up to in awe. Suffice to say, to think all of this will be easy is egotistical of him and he is not above using brutish means to get what he desires. Honorable to no, he will become someone that others respect... Although fear might due just as well.
Plot Ideas: Foal Plots:
Birbs - While Kukmet is well aware that he is a Raven Lord, he will often be struck by other birds of prey, such as condors and hawks. When he is newly out of his basket, his mother will have to sit him down and give him the talk about why Raven Lords bond with ravens.
Bit of a Bully - Bewtween his height and ability to intimidate others with ease, Kukmet will find that it's a lot easier to get what he wants from other Soquili if he plays a little rougher with them or yells and kicks. Rather than being mean-spirited, he'll just be a ball of spitfire until he finds other tricks to get his way... If he does, anyway.
Momma's Boy - It may start because they look the most similar, but Kukmet will always be a Momma's colt. He'll relate to her more than his father or brothers and will look up to her for everything. When he grows into his own stallion, he will start to look out for himself and the Raven Lords as a whole, but he will always come to assist his mother if she requests it of him.
Adult Plots:
Unsavory Means - Kukmet did not grow out of his bullying habits from foalhood, but he has become more clever in execution of it. Rather than just approaching someone and yelling them into submission, he has learned both how to charm information from them and how to properly fight. Both skills, he is certain, will serve him well for quite some time.
Pretty Pets - Kukmet loves the ladies, this is obvious. Of course, they have to meet his standards of beauty and wit, as any foals produced will be of the Raven Lord lineage--obviously she must also have wings. Those who have no wings, but are extraordinarily beautiful may be an object of his interest for a short while, but he will not breed with them, for a Wingless Raven Lord is hardly a Raven Lord at all. Still, he can admire even the unworthy from afar.
Ebony Wings - Ravens come in all colors in the Kawani lands, but Kukmet will desire his Raven to be the most handsome of them all. The raven he chooses to be his forever companion, or his primary or what have you, will be the most excellent and he will be very picky about who he chooses until he finds the perfect one to fly at his side.

A two-sided coin.

Illuminated Apparition

PostPosted: Thu Jun 02, 2016 7:13 pm

User Name: ~Latonia de la Courtel~
Name: Zelophehad (First Born/Shadow From Terror) Otieno (Born at Night)
Reasoning for name: I like the meanings of the names (provided above) and am somewhat amused by the fact that both parents have "A" names and he's all the way over at the other end of the spectrum.
Temper: Transformative
Are you an active RPer?: Very Much So
Are you willing to continue the Raven Lord tradition?: Yes indeed, I am!
----------------
Personality: Born of shadows and fire, Zel is equally happy to strut and claim the spotlight or skulk and remain in the shadows. Inspired by his mother's chosen vocation and the strength and control she weilds, the colt strives to emmulate her (and possibly his grandmother) even in his youth. Eventually he determines that while his use as a mercenary acceptable and his skill as an assassin is limited, there are other ways to make use of his talents. At that point, Zel decided to become a sort of fixer, or rather a tinkerer in the lives of those around him. His attentions and interference can be bought, though the price will vary.

As an adult, Zel is a tinker. He's happy to fix things, but he might break them apart a bit more first to see how things work. Still, in the long run, they'll be better than they were, or at least not worse? (Most likely, at any rate.) He wants to pull apart herds to observe the inner workings; might find foals lost and wandering and get them even more so, working them into terror just to see how they respond. His own emotions are somewhat distance, low-banked coals that take far too much work to stoke into flames, and thus the reactions of others are endlessly fascinating to him. So he'll split up courting lovers, seduce the mare with feigned charm and interest, or perhaps the stallion (he's not particular). Sooner or later, it will be resolved that the whole thing was a misunderstanding and he'll put them to rights (or arrange to have it done). He never wants to keep them for long, if at all. He just wants to understand how they work. There is an overall distance between himself and those he toys with, he will remained unmoved unless someone is willing to put forth great effort to move him.

Plot Ideas: In the early part of his arc, he'll be trying to emmulate his parents and family's skills, following the examples they have set. As he ages it will be determined that while they all taught him helpful things, none of it was really his forte. So, he'll use what he's learned, and make his own fun.

*What Does It Mean?: Being a Raven Lord means something, at least among the herd, among other Raven Lords. But do others know?- Ideally, Zel will have interactions with various Raven Lords (lessons) and non-affiliated Soquili (alliances/conflicts/future clients) to build a bigger picture of how his kind is perceived.
*Mother Knows Best: Zel eagerly soaks up the teachings of his dam, wanting the power he perceives her to have even among those that do not understand her legacy as a Raven Lord. He will learn to spin truth and lies, so that he can later use them best to his advantage.
*Or Perhaps, Grandmother Does?: While fully aware of his mother's skills as a weaver of truth and lies, Zel is intrigued by Allide's work as an assassin and mercenary. His strange features will present some difficulty in terms of stealthy attacks, but may not hinder him so much if he were to style himself as a mercenary. Following this train of thought, he applies himself to any lessons she is willing to give.

*The Tinker: Continuing to grow into himself and gaining contacts and potential clients on the way, Zel realizes that he is not ideally suited to follow in the footsteps of those that have come before him. Instead, he resolves to find his own niche, combining some of the skills he has gathered. If someone needs a warrior or a spy, they may hire him, for he will be glad indeed of the chance to infiltrate a herd and cause dissension until it falls apart from within. A bodyguard? He can be relied on to get you to where you wish to go, though his methods and path may be a meandering one... And he might lead you into a smidge more journey (only to rescue you later) just for the sake of the thrill he gets from something that is actually a challenge. His raven or ravens will also be of use as a messenger service, providing a contact service to those separated from their companions by a distance not easily traversed. Any that may not have wings or familiars to perform such tasks would be welcome as clients.

*Shattered (Beyond Repair): Ideally, Zel would have several of his little experiments running at a time. A rebellious yearling lost in the woods is fund and led to a cave that he visits regularly, off the beaten path where Zel can observe the youth in unfamiliar territory. Simultaneously he's splitting up a pair of lovers leagues away, seducing one or both of them into secret rendezvous and then spilling secretive comments to the other half, planting doubts when their back is turned. He's also working on a grand little scheme that will shatter a herd to pieces if things happen too soon or too late, but in the long run the herd will be stronger for it if they survive at all. Suddenly? His schemes begin falling apart. The youth is found by a Skinwalker and captured, hunted, or reunited with a teary family far too early for Zel to have learned a thing from it. The lovers find out and unite against him, or split up with no hope of reuniting (a decision made on their terms, and not is own is most disagreeable). The herd misconstrues some of his careful hints and self-implodes, dissolving into war ahead of schedule OR uniting against his influence. How does he react to finding out the puppets have cut their own strings?

*You Shouldn't Have: The only thing in all the world that Zel will be possessive of is his raven (ideally, female). This is the one creature he is emotional about, covetous of. He dearly loves her, and is unlikely to take it well when some harm befalls her. Perhaps perceiving her as a weakness, someone catches or otherwise kidnaps her, and Zel's fury is unleashed.

*Wildfire: With either the kidnapping or loss of his Raven (and the subsequent discussion of how the loss of one's Raven might impact a Raven Lord? If too dramatic, it might be the loss of a secondary Raven (death) or simply the kidnapping of his primary (momentary separation)to prevent him from losing his ranking but still riling him up significantly) Zel rages out of control. His fury is far-reaching and it will require his family (ideally Mom2?) to talk him down again.

*ASCENSION (Potential Plot): He will start out as a Dedicated Class (with his single, favorite raven) and may eventually gain more ravens to become a Conspiracy Class member
----------------
Choose your own entry: Biting back an irate commentary, Zel paced restlessly at the forest's edge. With each turn he flared and folded his wings, burning eyes narrowed on the dark wall of trees. The grass beneath his pacing strides was already black and withered, trampled by his steps and burnt by his flame. It's been ages since Thierra had disappeared into the dark, running what was supposed to have been a quick errand. She was just supposed to seek out his sire, to see if Adramalech would deign to give him lessons the way he had sought them from all of the other adults he could reach. It shouldn't have taken long, the stallion was frequently in view when the foals played under the watchful eye of their mother. And Zel's raven was sleek and fast and smart, she should have been able to say what he sought and then returned to him.

Still, time continued to crawl and Thierra hadn't yet returned. The woods stretched quiet and dark before him, no sound of frogs or birds or any of the hundred regular noises. No sight of his dear raven, no sound at all. It made him snarl the fury building like fire in his chest until he longed to exhale it in a burning cloud, turn hot breath on the borders of the forest until the trees crackled and shriveled, scorched and twisted by his anger. "Come on."

His words were low and furious, muttered under his breath as he continued to pace. Stretching his wings and snapping his tail liked a displeased cat did little to vent his fury, but the motion was somewhat helpful. Time moved syrup-slow without Thierra, the forest silent without her sardonic commentary and biting wit. Zel nearly swelled with fury, wings splaying as he spun to face the forest, having had enough and determined to plunge in after her.

"If you take one more step, your mother will be displeased with you." Thierra murmured, fluttering down out of the trees and swooping over to land on a twisted root. It put her at eye-level with the colt that was her charge, and let him see the amusement in her expression. "Miss me?"

"Like a limb, and you know it." He snapped, remaining brooding and irritable until he could reach out and brush a cheek along her wing. "Are you well?"

"A little flight like that?" She tsked, fluffing her feathers. "Fine, hardly exercise at all."

"Thierra," He narrowed his eyes, the frown returning. "That is not what I meant."

"I know what you meant." She clacked her beak at him, remaining unimpressed. "Come now, let us begin to head back and I will tell you the rest."

"Fine." Zel spun on his heels, waiting for her to move to a perch near the wrist joint of one of his wings before he continued on. "So?"

"So, what?" Thierra murmured innocently, her toes gently gripping on his feathers and wings half-unfurled to maintain her balance.

Allowing several moments to pass in silence, the colt grew patient and poked at her again. "Did you find him?"

The look of superiority she shot him was uncalled for, but he remained quietly amused by it regardless. "Of course I did. He's rather large and made of fire. How could I miss him?"

"Thierra!" This time with fury and undertone of whining.

"Don't shout." She flicked one wing out to tap at his ear in mild rebuke. "Your father is no danger to me, he knew who I was and why I had visited."

Another few moments of silence, and Zel hesitated when his mothers and siblings were once again in sight. "What did he say?"

"What I imagine every father does, Zel." She returned, idly preening a feather. "Ask your mother."

Name: Chazaqiel
Reasoning for name: 8th Watcher of the 20 leaders of the 200 fallen angels from the Book of Enoch; The name means “Cloud of God”; His mother gives him this name as a wish for him to see all. To see through others and be ever watchful over all.
Temper: Guileless - free from guile; sincere; honest; straightforward; frank
Are you an active RPer?: Yes! <3
Are you willing to continue the Raven Lord tradition?: Of course! (I seriously love this herd <3)
----------------
Personality: Chazaqiel is rather different from his family. Instead of holding the lie and making it the truth, he holds onto the truth and sees through the lies. It's an important skill for him to master, even having hix raven practice the same. This skill is important to him so that he may protect those he holds most dear in his life. Lies are what break things down and he couldn't stand for that to happen.
Beyond his crusade for the truth, he is actually rather boisterous. This catches most off guard when they first meet him because of his looks. But it's an easy enough thing to accept once you get used to it.
To those he my see as unworthy or disrespectful, he is an ememy. Taking pleasure in crushing what is dear to them. This simply means that others should beware his wrath if they don't want fire to rain down upon them.

Plot Ideas:
Ever Watchful: He takes his name to heart, keeping an eye on his family as closely as possible. (This would be foal to adolescent.)
Choosing: The way his siblings can sometimes lie through their teeth really gets to him. Especially his mother's lies. He decides to be transparent and focuses on, instead, making sure that he understands others just as transparently. (This would be an adolescent plot.)
It Happens: While he is out with his raven one day, something happens. Something bad happens. This causes him to end up blind in one eye. (This will be an extensive plot with some kind of battle that scars one eye, leaving him blind in it forever.)
Breakdown…: Losing his sight in one eye has left him bitter to the world. Breaking down his soul bit by bit as he feels he will never be as he was…
Training the senses: The anger boiling inside of him causes him to train. To work harder. To heighten all of his senses. Making sure he can fight harder tahn before.
Terror: The extent of his breakdown becomes all encompassing. He soon starts taking out his rage on anyone or anything that crosses him the wrong way. Becoming a terror in the sky.
True Terror: As time goes on, he starts having blackouts. When he awakens he finds that he has hurt others for no reason at all. This terrifies him…
Awakening: He decides to do something about his blackouts. To get better. To become the best for his herd.

Other Maybe Plots:
Perhaps he doesn't get better at all and continues down the darker path. Perhaps even ending up as a Walker bonded with his raven. Of course this would all depend on if something else changes in his life. Even still, instead of going dark, he could end up finding someone who believes in his abilities and helps him, instead, grow and get better after he goes blind in one eye. Whichever path he takes it will be a long one though. And he will be tested.

Choose your own entry:
What had happened, should not have happened. It never would have happened if he wasn't distracted. What had distracted him? What had made him lose sight of what was ahead of him?

The thoughts flowed back to him as he slowly and painfully brought his body upright. The memories slowly filled his head. Uriel… HIS RAVEN! His attention had been brought away to pay attention to something that Uriel had been pointing out to him.

Chazaqiel started looking around frantically for his raven. Just as the thought crossed his mind that something terrible must have happened, Uriel flew back into his field of vision. A sigh of relief washed over him.

As he slowly came to, he realized his field of vision seemed… narrow. It seemed there was something wrong with his eye! No… no… no… Slowly came the realization that he couldn't ses out of it. This was the worst thing to happen…. How could anything get worse?

Just as that thought flickered through his mind, he heard a low growl as something lightly thudded onto the ground. The thing had landed in the vision of his now blind side… this was going to be hard...

Welp, you guys didn't make it easy on us. =w='

There was a lot of really solid entries but at the end of it all there was one that just kept drawing us back. Jet, we really love that honour code. The possibilities and limitations it gives the character made us really fall in love with the concept. We hope he'll grow into a strong, flawed, and all around interesting character. ;3
