For all his darkness, Raine couldn't help but feel awful to be the one bringing a sorrowful cloudiness to Octavia's emerald eyes as she asked him to tell her he hadn't escaped. He looked down at the grass,"I didn't mean to,"he said,"Someone from my guild saw me and broke into the council building. He... he killed everyone. It was a mess. And I got scared that they'd blame it on me. So I ran."The celestial wizard's distress only caused him to feel more guilty,"I know, I'm sorry. Please,"he spoke with desperation for the brunette to believe him,"Don't think I did this on purpose. I swear, I was going to cooperate."The blood mage took Octavia's dainty hands in his own shamefully dirty ones. Realising his error in speaking to Katashi with familiarity, Raine cringed,"Y-yeah, the same... town,"he confirmed, giving his guild mate an apologetic look which soon changed when the attempted to urge Raine to leave with him."No!"he exclaimed, knowing his behaviour would be deemed suspect but in his current state he didn't care,"I can't go with you, Katashi. You can't help me. Not this time."he looked to his would-be saviour,"Octavia, please, I need you. If this doesn't get cleared up, I'll be the most wanted criminal in the kingdom and that can't happen. I didn't kill them. You believe me, right? I've still got the cuffs on,"he held up his wrists to emphasise his point,"I can't use my magic so I couldn't have. Please, Octavia, I don't want to be locked up,"he said, the idea of such a punishment bringing forth a mountain of fear and tear of panic welled in his eyes. This was bad. So so bad. He was on the brink of a full-blown break down and he'd never done that in front of people before. He had to hold himself together until he reached somewhere safe.

You just made yourself look more guilty,"she stressed,"How many? Actually, no, I don't want to know."She looked up at Katashi from her position on the floor beside Raine,"The same town? Huh, small world. I... I think it's best left unsaid how Raine and I know each other,"she smiled sheepishly before bringing her attention back to the distressed dark wizard. It surprised her when he took her hands into his. He truly was desperate,"Raine... yes, I believe you but... I really don't know if anyone else will. However, if you keep those cuffs on for now, you might have a shot at someone hearing you out,"she said, trying to sound as confident as possible. She was shocked to see evidence of tears in the blood mage's eyes. She'd never seen him like this before and it was upsetting. With no regard for what other people would think, she wrapped her arms around his neck,"Hey, no no, none of that. You're ok,"she murmured to him, stroking his red hair,"I don't know if I can help you but I'll try my best. I know someone we can go and see."Pulling away, she stood and faced her knew acquaintances,"Katashi, I'm sure you're concerned about Raine but he'll be ok with me. Amarisa, it was lovely to meet you. Both of you. I hope we get a chance to talk more about spies and instruments in the future,"she said, giving the two of them a bright smile before holding her hand out to the man kneeling on the floor,"Come on, Raine, let's go,"she said.

A small, wiry, somehow greasy voice drifted out of a bush behind Katashi. "Pssssssssssst.... hey, guy. Katashi, right? Lookin fer work?" The voice radiated a sense of confidence gained through repeated trial and error.
Events had not unfolded in a pleasing manner. Much to the chagrin of the Illusion mage, Raine chose to heed the advice of the Celestial Spirit mage. It troubled Katashi to bear witness to the redhead’s breakdown. His cloying at the girl was unbecoming, especially of someone of Raine’s background. I fear we may have lost one of our most valuable members. A most disagreeable circumstance. He would need to inform the guild master of the man’s treachery. For there simply was no other word for it. The Blood mage had effectively turned against Siren’s Curse and defected. And for what purpose had he done so? Katashi would be certain to find out. Betrayal such as his would not go unpunished. Be that as it may, the young man sighed. His crimson orbs trailed to Amarissa. Before he could utter a single word, however, an oily voice sounded from behind. Piercing gaze sliding sideways, he muttered to the individual secreted within the foliage at his back. “As a point of fact, I am not seeking work at this time. I have a prior engagement I must tend to.” Katashi stood to his feet. Slipping his hands into his pockets, he turned to face the child. “I am sorry, Amarissa, but I must go. There is work to be done, and I cannot let it linger any longer. It was nice to meet you.” He dipped his head in farewell before ambling down the walkway. The man who attempted to proposition him would do well to find another gullible soul.

Amarisa laughed lightly at Octavia's comment, she hadn't even thought of that! "Oh, you're right! Whoops." She said, acknowledging her mistake in realizing. Watching the three, it seemed the red head had gotten into some trouble, and she couldn't help but feel sorry for him, as she heard what he was admitting. She hated hearing about people getting killed, it saddened her deeply that people resorted to that. But, she didn't wish to butt in. Even more, Amarisa was saddened to hear that Octavia could not stay longer, seemingly needing to leave straight away with the red head. "It was very nice to meet you too, Octavia! I'm sure we will, someday."She spoke with a smile, she'd very much like to keep talking about these subjects on another day. Any kind of communication, and hanging out made her happy. She watched as the two went there separate ways, before turning back to Katashi. Her heart dropped a bit, he too needed to leave. But, he did seem pretty busy, and she didn't wish to interrupt, so it was bound to happen sooner or later. "It's okay, no worries. It was nice to meet you as well!" She spoke with a grin, sighing a bit as she watched him leave. Amarisa climbed up a tree to the top, staring into her stuffed animals eyes. "Guess it's just you and me." ━🐉D r a g o n O f L u c k」

The voice emitted a panicked choking sound, and the speaker came in to view as he pushed himself out of the bush he'd been hidden in. He moved deliberately, keeping his hands in view, raised just above his hips. Like he knew the etiquette of the underbelly. Like a professional. He was thin, wiry, and scarce, to put it to words. His hair was receding, thinner than his frame, and black as the midnight sky. His eyes were a pale green, the color of dollar bills. "Hey, don't be like that! It's a full day's work, food, drink, hazard pay, and bonuses depending on performance... and I need you like... immediately." He sounded like his employment offer was well practiced and practical, and sincere, to boot. But something to his voice was harried. Worried. Borderline panicked, even.
Katashi frowned at the man emerging from the bushes. He clearly did not understand the meaning of the word “no,” nor did he seem too interested in allowing him to part in peace. “As I have already stated,” the Illusion mage stated flatly, “I have other matters to attend to. If you are so in need of someone, then I suggest you send a request to the various guilds throughout Fiore. I am certain one of them would be more than happy to oblige. Now, if you would…” He pivoted on his heel. The discussion had drawn to a close in his opinion. The man would be wasting his time if he were to press the matter. Katashi was more than disinterested in the job. Something of the man set him ill at ease. From the way in which he requested help to how he had emerged from the bushes, every aspect of him stirred warnings within the dark mage. His back to the accoster, he set his thoughts upon what he would do next. He had spent far more time in the park then he initially intended. He needed to proceed to the next phase in his plan- the gathering of information at Magnolia Town. Katashi was not so foolish, however, to completely disregard the individual. No, even as his mind switched subjects, he remained aware of his surroundings, prepared for any further undesired interruptions, especially from the wiry-framed male.
The young girl watched and waited until the others had left. Now it was just her and the child napping in the tree. "Hey," Marietta called out, walking up to the trunk of the tree. Her neck craned upward to get a good look at the light-haired girl. "Hey!" She called louder when she didn't get a response. Pulling out a small stone, no larger than a coin, she chucked it at the girl's body for added measure. "Wanna come down and play with me and some friends?" Should Amarisa awake, she would find the girl staring imploringly up at her. Her deep lavender eyes and silky black hair both glistened in the bright sunlight. She looked as if she could be no older than thirteen or fourteen and there was an innocence about her.
When Katashi brushed him off, the man followed beside him with a steady, easy pace. Though he swiveled to watch behind and beside himself constantly. "Nah, see, the guilds don't like guys like you and me. I know your face, Katashi. You're a wanted man, just like the rest of your guild. Let's just say I'm a fence for sorts like you. I make things go away and make sure your pockets are lined for your trouble. And uhhh... let's say I pissed off a local thug when my offer for his goods didn't meet what he thought was uhhh... 'market price'-" He actually made air quotes with his fingers as he spoke the words 'market price'. "-and he's been after me to beat me bloody for the last two weeks. Haven't gotten a lick of sleep or a decent nap, even! I heard you were in town and decided hey, what can I lose? I figured a man of means like you could scare off this ill-informed ruffian and let me get back to business as normal. I'll make it very worth your while. Please? I just want this mook off my back..." Upon closer inspection, the man was sporting pronounced dark spots under his eyes, almost reaching around and over to the top of his eyes as well.

「🦄」LOCATION ⇁ Parkxxx「🦄」COMPANY ⇁ Mariettaxxx「🦄」EMOTIONS ⇁ Super happy!!xxx Amarissa had been napping lightly, yet partially awake as she was just resting her eyes boredly. She had a lot of fun today, hanging out with others. She'd hope to meet them all someday soon again, if there was a chance to come from. Her mind began to wander when a rock came hurling at her, bumping into her shoulder before falling back down to the ground. Where did that come from?? She wondered, glancing around, deciding to stare beneath the tree from where she sat on. Her eyes would lock with another girl who looked to be around the same age as her, out of topic but she had really pretty eyes! She looked like a sweet girl, in fact she reminded her of one friend she met one day here at the park, but that was a pretty while ago. Peering down, she listened to the girl ask a question. She wanted her to come down and play with her and some others? Amarissa was surprised, she really didn't think this day could get any better, but here it was proving her wrong. She smiled, eyes glistening against the sunlight. How could anyone say no to such a nice girl? Maybe she noticed how bored she looked and thought she'd ask to join her. That would be incredibly sweet of her! Never had she thought she'd run into someone her age asking her to join in, literally she couldn't be happiest in this moment. "Sure, I'd love to!" She'd state with the biggest grin, hopping from the tree, landing with a thud as her feet connected to the grass softly. "What are we playing?" She would ask curiously, not that it really mattered. As long as she was allowed to play with this girl and her friend, there's nothing that'd make her happier! Not even two seconds later, she completely forgotten about introductions. He continued his progression through the park without so much as glancing at the wiry male beside him. The man appeared to be in dire straits. His attitude seemingly growing more distressed and wary by the moment. Whereas most others might be inclined to help the man escape his plight, Katashi felt nothing of consequence towards the conman. Indeed, he believed the man deserving of whatever fate might dole out. “If you seek to appeal to my sympathetic nature, then I am afraid you have tracked me for nothing,” he said, flicking his eyes to the man for an instant before returning them to the path ahead. “I do not deal in aiding the weak to rid themselves of their troubles. Even my guildmates are rarely offered my assistance. If you are foolish enough to bring torment upon yourself, it is only fitting that you reap the consequences. Those strong enough to stand in this world do not have time to coddle those weaker than themselves. It is my opinion…,” Katashi drew to a halt, turning to fully meet the man, “…That you should let this person enact his vengeance. It should be of no concern to you when all is said and done if all he desires is your pain and suffering in lieu of death. Perhaps then you will learn what it means to be counted among the strong. Now, do not continue to pursue me or I shall be forced to show you what I am capable of.” He did not make his statement lightly. Should the man continue to press him, he would not hesitate to utilize his magics to deflect his incessant badgering.

Marietta watched the girl jump from the tree and land on the grass below. Her lavender eyes glistened in the bright sunlight. Lips curved up in a wide grin. "I thought you might. Told the guys you looked like you knew how to have some fun." She jerked her thumb behind her, indicating a small group comprised of three boys and two girls. "We're probably gonna play a few different games. But first up's hide and sneak. You ever played before?" The name of the game was deliberately different from the typical hide-and-seek most kids played. Its basic rules were to be the same but with one additional layer of difficulty for a touch of extra fun. "Name's Marietta," the girl touched the tips of two fingers to her forehead in a childish salute. "Those guys back there are Dolorez, Garo, Sim, Tim, and Reese. What's yours?" She asked while flicking some stray hair from her face. Best to get formalities out of the way now before the game started.

Her eyes glanced to the other kids, there were quite a bit. She couldn't wait to play with them all! Maybe, by the end of the day, they could all be friends or something! She really wanted that. But she wasn't going to push or force it, that's how you scare people away. At least, that's how it usually happened with her, way too many times before. At the mention of the name they were going to play, she stared a bit confused. "You mean.. hide and seek?" Amarisa asked bewildered, wondering if she literally meant to say that. It certainly seemed to be that case. "Someone..sneaks? While others hide? Is it the same as seeking out?" The female asked, kind of lost on what game this was. Not that it mattered!! A game was a game, she'd play anything with them. So long as it meant making new friends and having a lotta fun, she'd never turn such a thing down! As for introductions, Amarisa merely smiled in return. "It's nice to meetcha Marietta!" She grinned with a wave of her hand, looking towards the other kids as well. "It's nice to meet you all as well!" And it certainly was, she was so grateful to be invited over. "I'm Amarisa, but you can call me Ama or something if you prefer." Hide and seek was always one of her favorite games, she wondered if maybe the kids these days decided to change the rules a bit? Whatever the case, she'd just play along. ━🐉D r a g o n O f L u c k」

The dark-haired girl smiled, shaking her head lightly, "You kinda got it. Hide and Sneak is our version of Hide and Seek. It's a lot more fun than Hide and Seek though. Instead of having a lot of people hide and one person find them, we do it to where there are two people hiding and the rest find them. The goal of the game is for the one person- the Keeper- to get the other person- the Charge- to home base without the Hunters- that's the other players- from tagging them. We play for candy mostly but sometimes Jewel. If the Keeper gets the Charge to safety them all the Hunters have to pay up. If not, then it's the other two that do." Marietta settled her hands on her hips while she explained the inner workings of the game. Her lavender eyes gleamed with the playfulness of one gearing up for a bit of fun. "Makes sense, yeah? For the first game, I was thinking you and me could be the Charge and Keeper. I'm pretty good at keeping people from getting caught. I've made loads of Jewel and gotten a big candy haul from it so I don't mind being the Keeper if you don't mind being the Charge." She waited a beat to give Amarisa time to accept or decline. Meanwhile, the others, who had been waiting patiently behind her, smiled and called out their greetings to the new playmate. The twins, Sim and Tim, looked especially happy at the idea of her being the Charge in the first round.

"Oh wow, that sounds interesting!" She said happily, thoroughly enjoying the way it sounded so far. It was like a brand new unique game, with all the same fun of a mixture between tag and hide and seek. "I can pay any amount of coins, I also have a bit of candy if it helps." She said, wanting to join in the fun, even if it meant going super broke, so be it. It was well worth it! Amarisa nodded her head as she understood the rules of the game now, and was very open to playing the game! "Yeah, I get it. That sounds fun!" She said with a big grin, though she defiantly didn't wanna lose so easily, with Marietta on her team. "I'm newbie at this game, but I'll try my best not to mess up. Can you keep the worst of players from getting caught?" Amarisa joked around with a light laugh, she didn't mind at all being the charge. It would certainly be a fun experience, and she'd get in some nice exercise. "I'm good with that! I'll try to be quick so we can win faster!" This was going to be so much fun!!
