 Samhain smiled, even though the box hadn’t lasted that long, and had come out a weird plum color while it had existed, the fact was that he produced it so it was a better result than last time where nothing even showed up… it was progress. “Well I can’t say that I’m really any good yet with magic but what I can tell everyone is just to take a deep breath and don’t give up. Magic for some species of nightmare or daydream can be tough. I definitely didn’t get it my first time, and even this time I was only able to create a box for a few seconds but the point is that I did it and now that I know that I can do it, I’ll just go back and keep refining and keep practicing until I can handle two minutes or even five. Just don’t give up. You’ll get your box... also when first starting out don't be too surprised if it turns a weird color on you” he told the class.

Honey liked illusion as an elective, but it didn't mean they were necessarily any good. With a small groan they stared at the empty spot where the box should be. There was nothing to it but to try again.

Honey stuck out their tongue at the still-empty space, willing it to appear in anger in response to their taunt. Shockingly, this was not a successful approach. "Bugger this," they murmured, but continued trying nonetheless.

When the bright yellow box finally appeared, Honey was completely taken aback by their success. Furthermore, it sat there for a few minutes, looking decently box-like. Just as Honey was starting to worry that they'd somehow gone to the other extreme and somehow created a corporeal box, the illusion disappeared. After blinking at the empty space for a few moments, a grin broke out on Honey's face. "Easy as fake pie."

Had he been asked about his future studies, Howard wouldn't have hesitated to answer. He would be pursuing a sociology/psychology double major from Asterion. He'd known that was what he had wanted to do ever since he had arrived here. His goals hadn't changed, but his interests had broadened, which was why he found himself here. Mostly he was curious as to whether or not it was possible to use illusion magic to change one's face for a time, but sure, he'd start with boxes.
He sat at his desk, hands loosely cupped around the empty air in front of him. He thought of cardboard boxes, their stiff but pliant sides, their corrugated texture, but nothing happened. He was not here to create, only to fool. Shifting his focus to appearances rather than reality, the chimera drew in a startled breath as a small, purple box flickered into place, remaining there even as his concentration wavered. It was fancier than he'd planned, all beveled edges, shiny, lacquered top, and subtle engraving, but it was still a box and it was all one color. Hopefully it would pass.
He didn't touch it again, and once he was sure the teacher had noted his work, Howard watched the box linger for a full five minutes before it faded away.

Ganymede had been looking forward to taking Illusion since he'd gotten old enough to start actually using his magic. Unfortunately, Illusion was a lot harder than he'd thought it was going to be... He managed to change his partner's eye color for a few seconds, but it quickly faded after Tethys had time to inspect it. Still, for a first try at the spell, it was okay?
He'd have to practice more later... Foras might lend a hand. Maybe.

 Hades always loved studying magic and so it was a given that he was going to take the illusion class. He looked across at his partner and wondered what he should change. Deciding to change it from a black to an almost red in color he was slightly surprised that he pulled it off. His surprise for once grew as he worked on how to keep the illusion up for a good five minutes. It was a bit draining but Hades was intrigued he might have to look into possibly furthering his studies in the subject.

 Aleis stared at their partner. They had always been interested in illusions and so they were quite happy when they finally got old enough to get into the magic classes. It surprisingly came pretty easy. Aleis was able to change their partner’s eyes from whatever color they had been originally to neon pink. Of course they weren’t expecting the illusion to last more than five seconds but since this was a challenge Aleis tried to last as long as they could… which was a lot longer than Aleis thought by four minutes and 55 seconds. Wow maybe they actually did have a knack for illusion, that would certainly be helpful. Well time to study up and experiment more. Aleis looked forward to future classes.

 Nashira liked illusion class. Magic was interesting, and so she was quite focused as she attempted to alter the appearance of her partner. The baphomet she was paired with suddenly had bright purple horns that seemed to sparkle. She managed to make it last for a few minutes. She was shocked when her partner changed her skin color to a sun-kissed tan. At last that only lasted a few seconds.

 Amethyst smiled she was a bit excited about taking this class illusions sounded like a lot of fun. She had an easy time turning her hair blue and admired herself in her hand mirror for five minutes before the spell wore off.

 Syth was able to change his eye color for a short amount of time. He changed his eyes to a dark green color, sadly the spell only lasted 2 minutes, he needed a lot more practice.

Foras was never that great at magic, but he decided he wanted to give it a shot anyway. So he decided illusion magic would be pretty cool. If anything it might be something he could use in his work, or to surprise Gany one day. In fact there were a lot of fun little prank he oculd think of that would be fun to pull with this sort of magic. Of course, he didn't really get it at all on his first try.
