Zero dismissed the Noivern's hostility towards him. He wasn't sure why she disliked him, but that was an issue he could deal with later. Regardless, his attention shifted from her to Isis, as the Flurry had apparently disappeared. It didn't take long for them to make the connection that the little lepoard had gone ahead inside, and the silver-haired trainer followed his compainion inside. Though they thought they found Raja rather quickly, it turned out to just be Wraith taking the bite of a rainbow crystal.
However, they soon found the actual Raja, who floated over from behind a corner. Just as they were about to head back outside though, an old woman suddenly appeared before them, aware of what species the black lepoard was. Zero quirked a brow at the old woman. First disappearing priests and now the teleporting old woman... he thought to himself. Still, she seemed to know more about the pokemon than they did, so there wasn't much harm in taking the woman up in her offer. "...Do Flurries only feed off of spirits? Or can they feed off of other things?" Isis' description of the black ooze the little pokemon had drawn out of him popped into mind.
Meanwhile, while the trainers had gone inside, Ashen had remained behind, circling above the entrance. He tried to keep his gaze away from the Noivern, but he could feel her glares even from where he was. The Charizard let out a small sigh, before finally decending to Nocturne. "Wanna have another race?" He asked, keeping his wings ready to quickly ascend again.

They absorb malevolent feelings, beings, thoughts, and otherwise, using it's own pure spirit to purge the darkness within." She explained. "Do you know the legends behind the Flurry species? If you can beat me in battle, I'll tell you more." Isis looked to Raja and gave a small smile. "Alright, I'll take that bet! Raja, are you ready for a few battles...?" Isis asked, and the little cub gave a light yip of enthusiasm, floating forward to face the Medium in battle. As promised, the old woman seemed to specialize in ghost type pokemon, though they all seemed to be pretty weak. Raja was more than capable of handling them, even with something as cute as attacking them with Lick.
The old woman chuckled, even after her defeat. "That was merely a test to see how strong your Flurry was. Those ghosts of mine were mere companions, they are not quite ready for battle. Your Flurry is strong, but needs to defeat more ghosts, and quickly if it wants to evolve at a good time. Venture further into the Mountain, you will find more trainers like myself willing to help your Flurry reach it's full potential. But first, I promised you a little lore for defeating me~" The Medium smiled. "It is said that Arceus judges the pokemon spirits who pass through to another world, and deems them worthy for the afterlife. If not, he curses them to roam the realm of the living as lost and forgotten souls of ghost pokemon. Flurry are pure spirits, whom were reincarnated from their previous lives to take on a new role, going to purify the cursed ghost pokemon and harness their energies to do good. Malevolent spirits find their atonement with the Flurry species. It would be wise of you to keep training that pokemon, there aren't many around as of late." Isis nodded and cuddled her Flurry close. "Thank you, I'll do my best!" While the idea of venturing further into Mt Pyre was scary, if she was going around and purifying evil ghosts with her Flurry, then maybe it wasn't so bad...
Nocturne remained outside of Mt Pyre, still curled up and resting, though Ashen was out with her too, which was annoying. The dragon simply couldn't sit still, anxiously circling above the entrance. Noc shot him an annoyed glare and attempted to bury her ears so maybe she could get some peace and quiet. Finally the other dragon started to land, albeit rather close to her. The Noivern looked up with distaste as Ashen addressed her, asking for another race."Go away and bother someone else eh? I don't wanna race with the likes of you. Cheating little Wurple...." She hissed and turned her back on him. ✿ ❀

"I see..." Zero thought back to his dream and Raja's first appearance. It explained the odd peaceful feeling he had when he woke up, at the very least. Still, he'd never heard of a Flurry or it's legends until now, so the woman's story had his attention. Since Isis had an easy fight, it wasn't long before the Medium elaborated, explaining what role the ghost played in the afterlife. It was an interesting tale, but when she mentioned others to help Isis train Raja, he realized he needed to do some himself.
"Hey, Isis," Zero tapped her on the shoulder. "I'm gonna go a little further in to fight some trainers myself, that way you can have the mediums all to yourself. I'll leave Nova here if you need me though." He released the Gardevoir from her ball, before begining to walk off a bit. "I should still be in earshot, but if I'm not Nova can reach me." He left off with that, before turning a far corner and starting his own training.
The first trainer he ran into was a Hex Maniac, her crazed eyes and smile made a little creepier from the girl's silence. Still, it wouldn't deter Zero, and he immediately threw Agidyne out to fight. Their opponents were weak, so the Blaziken quickly dispatched each of them. His speed and strength vastly outclassed the girl's pokemon, and none got a single hit off. It was a promising start.
As Zero disappeared from sight, Nova turned away, and leaned down a little to the Flurry in Isis' arms. "I don't think I got the chance to thank you for helping Zero earlier. He seemed rather... troubled, before he awoke."
Meanwhile, outside, Ashen grew rather irritated at the Noivern. "Do you have anything better to do? Besides, I didn't cheat. You're the one who slowed down." Admittedly, the Charizard left out the part where he flung his trainer off on accident, and Nocturne had to "save" him, even if she wasn't the most gentle about it. Still, he was sure even with his inexperience flying, he was faster than the giant bat.

✿ ❀ Isis nodded to Zero as he mentioned going off to train, and leaving Nova with her just in case they got far enough away from each other that they got out of earshot. Looking to the Mega Gardevoir, Isis watched as Nova leaned down to the Flurry in her arms. Raja perked up at the Gardevoir's voice and wagged it's tail at her thanks, slipping out of Isis' arms to inspect her closer. Raja gave the same sort of friendly greeting that it had given Isis, a light lick on the nose. Even though Nova didn't really have one, Raja still got the area where a nose would be and grinned at the Gardevoir. Isis chuckled a bit at their interaction, wondering further into the mountain in search of the other mediums that had been mentioned to her. "Ahhhh, so you're the one...." Isis turned suddenly as another woman seemed to appear out of nowhere, though she was sitting perfectly still, her eyes closed. "I sensed your presence child, and your little friend over there." She indicated the Flurry at her side, glancing over in Raja's direction still without opening her eyes. "O-oh, yes, I've come here to train it.... And I was told, y-you could help me?"
The woman gave a warm smile. "Yes... Yes we can aid you." The medium sent out a Gastly, which seemed to be a reoccurring theme here, her team went down just as easily as the last, but again Isis had been told that these battles were not for any kind of training she would be used to, they were meant to assist her Flurry in evolving somehow. The last medium had said that her Flurry needed to defeat ghost pokemon in order to achieve that, and though Isis didn't quite understand, she felt that she would understand soon enough. "Another group of Ghost pokemon defeated, another step closer to evolution. You must challenge two more of us, and then have a real battle. Use your Flurry to challenge one of the ghost pokemon that inhabit this mountain. Defeat it, and your companion will evolve." Isis gave a hesitant nod. "O-okay, but.... What is is about defeating ghost pokemon that allows Flurry to evolve...?" Isis inquired. "With each ghost pokemon defeated, Flurry will draw away some of the spectral energy each ghost possesses, some of it's spirit, purifying it and using it to become stronger." The woman explained. Isis was still a bit at a loss, but nodded appreciatively before continuing on in search of the next Medium.
Nocturne gave a light snort at the Charizard's comment."Yes in fact, I do. I'm resting. You know... Sitting still, and being quiet? Maybe you should try it sometime eh? And you did cheat. You made me think you were slow and then sped up at the last minute. That's called cheating, and it's typical from your kind." She grumbled, tail twitching irritably. Of course when she mentioned Ashen's kind, she didn't mean Charizards, she meant males in general. ✿ ❀

While Isis was off fighting Mediums, Zero continued fighting Hex Maniacs. The second one had more or less the same team as his previous foe, even if they might have been slightly stronger. Not that it really mattered, Agidyne's power was still far too great for them, effectively OHKOing every one of them. Easy experience for them.
Nova shivered a bit at Raja's cold lick, but found the gesture sweet none the less. Giving the Flurry a rub behind her ears, the Gardevoir's voice rang out again before straightening herself. "Well aren't you sweet." From there the sprite followed close behind Isis, making sure to stay out of the way of her training.
Ashen puffed a bit of fire in his sigh. "I see the Buneary still underestimates tortoiseTorouga..." The Charizard finally just decided to give up, and moved away to the other side of the entrance. At this point he didn't care anymore, and laid on his side facing away from the irritating Noivern.

Isis chuckled and brushed her hand along the cub's soft, cold, powdery back when it had reformed before she continued on through the mountain. She was suddenly stopped by a voice calling out to her, but by then Isis was somewhat used to voices coming out of seemingly nowhere and finding the Mediums there awaiting her arrival. "Two more mediums to defeat, one who's strong, and one who's weak, then two ghost pokemon must meet, to make your training halfway complete..." ISo this one spoke in riddles eh? Of course, why didn't I think of that." Isis sighed, and the old medium gave Isis a lighthearted chuckle and started the battle, sending out the usual array of Gastly that were quickly and easily downed by Isis' Flurry. "The weak one defeated, the strong one ahead. Prepare yourself child, for the might of the undead." The medium warned, sending a light shiver down Isis' spine as she surged onwards, deeper into the mountain.
Nocturne snorted lightly at Ashen's words."Oho, now aren't we just a pot calling the kettle black." She rolled her eyes as he pouted and moved to the other side of the entrance. In truth she did want to fly around though, she just wanted to do it alone, without him. ✿ ❀ Venturing further in, Isis found the next medium herself rather than having her appear from nowhere. The medium glanced her way and gave a light nod eyeing the Flurry beside her. "My pokemon will be stronger than the others, it is time for real training young lady. Are you and your pokemon prepared?" Isis looked to her Flurry and frowned, digging through her bag for a held item that might be useful to the snow leopard before digging out a choice band and handing it to Raja. "Okay, now we're ready!" Isis exclaimed confidently. "Then let us begin!" The medium sent out her team of Gastly one at a time, these ones certainly stronger than the others Raja had faced, but with a Bite attack and the aid of their choice band, Raja had it handled well, and by the end of the fight seemed to be somewhat aglow with blue spectral energy. ✿ ❀ Deeper and deeper the mountain went, and t wasn't long before the dim lighted, misty rooms full of tombstones started giving Isis the creeps. She clung to Nova's arm and held Raja close as they maneuvered their way about, and Wraith kept giving Isis mischievous looks that Isis didn't trust for a minute, so she quickly returned him to his pokeball. However the moment she turned back to face forward, she saw something suddenly in front of her and nearly jumped out of her skin. It was just a Vulpix though, and Isis breathed a sigh of relief. Nevertheless, sensing her trainer's distress, Hylia popped out of her Pokeball and took a defensive stance in front of Isis. The Vulpix came at her with a quick attack, but it bounced off of Hylia's shield harmlessly before she switched to sword forme and whipped herself around expertly, slashing at the Vulpix, and before the fox could attack with some kind of dark attack, Hylia quickly defended herself by switching forme again and deflecting the attack with a King's shield. The battle raged on, Hylia maneuvering herself with flips and forme changes until the Vulpix was down for the count, and Hylia reverted to her shield forme once again.
Raja looked at Hylia with interest, but not in the same way it had with Wrath; this was a respectful interest rather than the way a hungry cub would eye a nearby fish. There seemed to be some sort of unspoken agreement between the two as Hylia tilted her sword in a nodding fashion, and Raja responded in kind. Though Isis had no idea what had gone on between the two, she was just happy her pokemon were getting along. ✿ ❀

✿ ❀ Isis timidly walked through the tombstones, less shaken but still keeping an eye out for any ghost pokemon. Instead she found a Meditite, meditating atop one of the graves. It sensed a disturbance of it's quiet, seeing Hylia and immediately leaping into action with a High Jump Kick, which, unfortunately for it, ended up just phasing right through Hylia and making it hit another tombstone with a resounding crash.
Hylia was quick to follow up with an Iron Head and a Shadow Sneak, and through the Meditite tried to Force Palm Hylia away, she finished the fighting type off with another Shadow Sneak so that Isis could move on. ✿ ❀

✿ ❀ Isis now sulked as she continued wondering through the infinite maze that was My Pyre. "Of course, the one time I'm actually trying to find a wild ghost, they're nowhere to be found...." Isis grumbled. "HEEEYYYYYY GHOOOOSTS COME AND GET ME!!!" Hylia gave Isis an odd look, but remained silent as ever, not really that offended by Isis' judgement on the ghost pokemon species. Hylia herself wasn't all that proud of most of her type's kind either. They'd earned a bad reputation with the more sinister ghosts around.
Isis heaved a sigh and looked to Raja sadly. "Sorry buddy, I want to get you evolved, but we can't do that without any--" Raja's gaze shifted from Isis to fixing on something behind her, it's fur standing on end as it gave a small growl. "W-what?! I said I was sorry.... You don't have to be so--" Isis suddenly realized that the snow leopard wasn't looking at her, but rather at something behind her, which was admittedly relieving, but at the same time.... What.... What was behind her...? Isis paled and slowly turned around to find a Shuppet, grinning sinisterly. It let out a rather terrifying screech that in turn made Isis scream and try to get away, the sound making her ears ring and causing Isis to become somewhat disoriented as she scrambled to get away, her newfound courage completely vanished. She tripped on a loose tile and fell to the cold floor, frantically trying to gather her bearings. Hylia quickly came to her aid, holding her still until she calmed down while Raja faced off with the Shuppet.
Raja was quick to land in a good bite on the Ghost, surprising the pokemon enough to make it flinch and allowing Raja to bite it again, which surprisingly caused it to faint, though when this ghost fainted, the pokemon dissolved away into a black smoky essence, but like the one Raja had drained out of Zero, and imbued itself into Raja. The cub disappeared in a puff of ghostly smoke and reappearing next to Isis as it's body shimmered with light and grew larger. Isis finally stopped struggling against Hylia to watch her new pokemon evolve into a larger leopard, though it now was accompanied by several light blue floating wisps of spirit fire. Raja looked rather surprised herself, glancing to the wisps around her and hesitantly nodding her head as if some unheard conversation were going on before looking at Isis with concern. One of the wisps suddenly flew into Isis, making the girl gasp in surprise and fear."I-Isis...? Are you okay?" The blond flinched as she heard the numerous female voices hitting her thoughts, not sure what had just happened, and Raja's ears flattened."Sorry....! I didn't hurt you did I...?!" She whispered, ducking her head. Isis chuckled lightly and reached out to pet the leopard's head. "No, It's okay I'm fine! I guess I just.... Wasn't expecting to hear your voice. Or to get hit with one of those wispy things. What are those anyways?" Raja grinned, her tail wagging happily."Friends! All those Gastly that I beat, their spirit essence is with me now! They say they have lots of things to teach me." Raja brightened, though her gaze followed Isis' wary one as it looked at one of the lighter colored wisps."....Don't worry, he's harmless now."Raja insisted, reading Isis' emotions and knowing she was concerned that the sinister Shuppet would influence Raja too somehow. Isis felt somewhat relieved at the Wispard's reassurance and nodded hesitantly, though she would keep an eye on the pale wisp. ✿ ❀

As Agidyne felled another Hex Maniac's team, Zero looked around at the rows of misty tombstones around him. He could make out wild pokemon and other trainers to fight, but for some reason the sight of them just made him tired. It seems all the training he'd done the previous day really did take a toll on him. Perhaps I should take at least a little break...
He let Agi finish his fight, but the silver-haired trainer didn't make his way over to the other trainers inside the mountain. Instead, he moved forward, deeper into the maze of graves that was Mt. Pyre. Eventually, he decided to check in on Isis' progress. "Nova," he asked, his voice echoing a bit in his head. "How go things on your end?"
Nova ran to catch up with Isis after the Shuppet scared her away. Not that she had to run far, as the girl tripped on one of the titles. Nova tried to soften her fall, but by the time she reached her, Hylia was already trying to calm her down. However, when Raja defeated the the ghost pokemon, the Gardevoir sensed a sudden surge of energy. The cub disappeared into a black smoke, before reappearing beside Isis, and the two watched the black leopard evolve from a Flurry to a Wispard.
While the Mega Gardevoir looked over Raja's new form, Zero's voice suddenly came in through her head. "Pretty good, pretty good," She reported. "Raja just evolved, and the mediums Isis battled were pretty informative on her species. I'll fill you in later, but what about you?"
"I see... I battled a couple of Hex Maniacs, but that's been about it. I think I'm gonna take Isis' advice and take it easy for today."
"Really? Okay, you wanna make your way back to us then? You're not that far away, I can lead you right here."
"Na, that's fine, I think I'm gonna just stroll around for a bit. I'll come back once Isis is done training or if I change my mind. Just keep an eye on her, alright? She gets startled really easily here."
Nova looked to the arm Isis had been firmly attached to not that long ago. "Already on it." The "line" went silent, and the Gardevoir turned her attention back to Isis and Raja. "Looks like Zero decided take a break from training today."

✿ ❀ Isis glanced up to Nova as the Gardevoir mentioned that Zero had decided to take a break from training for today finally. "Oh.... Good, so maybe he did take my suggestion to heart..." Isis sighed with some relief, looking back to Raja and smiling somewhat as she pet the Wispard gently. However, her Xtransciever buzzed shortly after with a new text from Marx. "Huh, and just in time too...." Isis mused, reading over Marx's words.
"Yeah that place! Me and two of my friends are heading there now, but we still have a little ways to go. I think Rose and Shenaiya should be there already, though! I think you met Shenaiya at the ball, right? If you wanna go ahead, you can probably meet up with them!"
"Yeah! I remember meeting her. Pretty sure I have her number too. I'll let her know that Zero and I are on our way!"
Isis texted back with a smile before turning her attention back to Nova. "It seems that the party is calling, so we need to go anyways, so can you tell Zero to meet me at the entrance?" Isis explained, standing up and brushing herself off. She was about to start heading back towards the entrance, but her Xtransceiver buzzed again, this time with a message from Leon.
"Not a trace of doubt in my mind~ Aw, you caught me. >w> I'll make sure it's a wailord of a time. hehehehe o Ao ! Hold on, bae. I need to kick some major gym leader butt before i can come and save you from there. What is Zero even thinking, bringing you along to a burial ground to train? You can always come back and train with me, babe~ -eyebrow waggle- "
Isis chuckled a bit at the message and quickly replied back.
"Hahaha~ Ah that's a good song <3 Pft oh man, the puns just keep pouring in~ ;b But I am looking forward to that date, whenever it is :3 Shoot! That's right, I forgot you can't fly yet.... Well you'll be glad to know everything turned out okay anyways. This pokemon I got recently needed to do some training here in order to properly evolve, even though it's still pretty creepy here.... >~> I'd love to go spend the rest of my training with you but I'm getting the heck out of here and heading to that beach party now~"
Isis smiled and sent the message before starting to heard back the way she'd come, however, Isis paused for a moment, since she had Nova alone now, one of Zero's pokemon who she could communicate with, and without Zero's presence for the moment. "Hey... Nova..." Isis started to ask hesitantly. "You knew... You knew where I was going when I left back in Veilstone, and you told him too.... So I've been wondering....." Isis hesitated again. "Why.... Didn't Zero try to stop me...?" The question left her lips, Isis' puzzled gaze remaining on Nova.✿ ❀

It would seem Zero's timing couldn't have been better, as just as he decided to stop training for now, Isis's X-Transceiver began to buzz with chatter. First Marx texted effectively saying it was time for the party, and Nova nodded as Isis asked to tell Zero about it. "Sure, no problem." The Gardevoir reestablished the mental link from a moment ago, informing Zero of what to do. As she did however, the blond's phone buzzed again, and Nova managed to get a look at what it said.
She chuckled a little teasingly. "Your prince, I take it?" She joked, remembering the "princess" name Yang used earlier in the morning. Not that it really mattered, Nova had already begun moving with Isis back to the entrance, before she stopped. The Gardevoir's pumpkin-colored eyes stared at her, the question bringing her a bit of pause. There was a slight moment of silence, before her voice echoed in the girl's head again, and she started walking again. "Well... As much as I'd like to say 'I don't know', to be honest, after the ordeal at the ball, I had some trouble moderating my psychic powers. I normally keep myself from really listening in on someone's thoughts, since it's so easy to hear too much, or dive too deep. Especially with Zero.
"When I first told him, he didn't try to stop you because you'd already taken off, and he didn't think he could catch up to you by train. It wasn't until he'd beaten Winona that he really considered coming after you. He could fly now, and since nothing seemed to have changed, he figured there was a chance you didn't go back yet. Zero is the kind of person who's heard the dangers of changing the past many times, and especially after the thing with his friend, he would never go back to change things. But, this was different. Somewhere, in the back of his mind, he made a connection. Even if he didn't know it, a similar scenario played out in his head. One where, instead of you going back, it was something that'd make him go against something he resolved to never try..." Nova looked at Isis again, looking a little sad. "I believe it was something similar to the disturbance I'd felt this morning in him, or at the very least, it came from a similar place. At any rate, that connection ultimately made him decide that this was something you had to do, and for better or for worse, he wasn't going to stop you."

✿ ❀ Isis blushed somewhat as Nova snuck a peek at her Xtransceiver and saw Leon's text, teasing her by asking her if that had been her "prince". "H-he's not my prince.... I mean, he is the person you're thinking about but.... Not in that context!" Isis turned on a heel and began storming off back to the entrance of the gravesite, however a question dawned on her, of which she needed Nova to answer while she still had the Gardevoir around without Zero's presence. She asked Nova why Zero hadn't tried to stop her, since it was obvious that either Zero had figured out the truth himself or Nova had told him, or perhaps some combination of the two. Nova had to take a moment to answer, which made Isis somewhat uncomfortable.
Then she finally answered, choosing her words carefully. She had apparently had a hard time controlling her powers after the ball and couldn't help hearing people's thoughts now, especially Zero's. Isis didn't really understand since she didn't exactly have any experience with ESP herself, but she understood conceptually at least. At first, his reason was that he simply couldn't chase her down, since he still couldn't fly yet. Understandable, also partially why Isis had flown away in the first place, even if it was sort of a low blow. However, once Zero had crossed that hurdle by beating Winona, he'd apparently really considered going after her since nothing had changed yet, but something had stopped him. The reason being something relating to the story he'd told her about his friend Alex. Isis frowned somewhat with concern, not really sure how to take the information.
"I..... I see...." Isis said quietly, deciding to simply head for the entrance of the graveyard. Raja looked her over curiously."That dream was nasty tasting..." Raja chimed in, shaking her head and looking curiously up at Isis."What are you talking about anyways Isis? Try to stop you from what?" Isis' mouth twitched slightly. "Um... N-nothing... Don't worry about it." Isis insisted. She didn't want to bring the subject up. Raja knew Isis was trying to dodge the subject, but while the Wispard was curious, she didn't push it.
Soon they had made their way back to the entrance and there was still no sign of Zero, so while she waited, Isis took this time to text Shenaiya and let her know she was coming, in case Marx hadn't already.
"Hey Shenaiya! It's Isis~ Marx told me about the party going on over at Cyllage. Mind if Zero and I come and crash it? :b"
Isis chuckled, planning to head on over whether Shenaiya was ready or not, but the question was more of a courtesy, and she did have to wait for Zero to come meet with her first anyways.✿ ❀

"Suuure, and I'm sure that prince would tell the same story." The Gardevoir continued to tease, seeming a little like Andreas for a moment. But Nova knew what Isis had meant, and moved forward until the blond asked her about Zero. There was a pause before she began to move again, walking and talking to try and explain. Though, perhaps her explanation wasn't exactly the best, she still tried.
Nova continued towards the entrance and out to the grassy space beyond. She roused Ashen awake as she exited with Isis, and the Charizard got up to stretch his wings. While they waited, Isis continued to text people, and as she sensed Zero's presence coming closer, she couldn't help but speak one last time before the silver-haired boy arrived. "...When Zero started out," She began, "he wasn't a very happy person. Despite the... colorful people he calls friends, there was still a twinge of loneliness he felt. But, I think he's come a long ways from that, thanks to you." The Gardevoir gave the blond trainer a wide smile. "Enough for him to question if he could really stay his hand from such a thing." She was referring to changing the past, but before she could elaborate further, Zero's footsteps finally became audible, and he neared the entrance.
As he came into the light coming in, Zero came into view...and at his back, several eyes of varying shapes and sizes pierced through the darkness. As he exited, various ghost pokemon came into the light, and a few watched him from the cave entrance. Nova had sensed them alongside Zero, but they weren't directing any particular malice towards him, so she ignored them. A few more would stray outside as Zero came up to Isis, but before long they dispersed, disappearing from sight, lest Raja get hungry again. "Ready to go?" He asked, seemingly unphased by the numerous ghosts and spirits that'd followed him until a moment ago.
