And clearly, she was rather disapproving of it, or at least, didn't see it as being a smart choice.
"You should try and get some sleep," she added, turning over her menu, then closing it and shutting it as she decided what she would get, Joltik still sitting on her shoulder, staring across the table at Zero, then skittering and looking around the restaurant.

Quirking an eyebrow, Ajicka gave Zero a very dubious look, clearly skeptical of his plan. She shifted when a waiter appeared before she could question him, and handed her menu, features blunt and emotionless as always once more. "Orange juice and a Rueben," she ordered. After the waiter left, she gave him another look.
"Cheesecake? You look like you're more in need of a burger," she commented. Then again, maybe he couldn't bring himself to eat meat after what they'd been through. Actually, thinking about it... maybe she shouldn't have ordered something with meat etiher... No. No she wasn't going to let this ruin her diet, too. She wanted a damned Rueben, she was getting it. It wasn't like she was eating some bloody chunk of meat, but even if she was, she didn't care. She couldn't. It would just keep feeding into the idea that she wasn't over all of that already.
"So," she started, looking him over analytically as she considered her words, "I take it you're planning to stay in Hoenn a while, and get those badges?" It seemed like the sensible thing to do, aside from, well... sleeping. She still didn't think his plan was a good one, but she would drop the matter. For now.

Zero couldn't help but chuckle at the questioning of his choice in food. "Heh, perhaps, but I prefer the cheesecake. Besides, I lost most of my appetite for meat a long time ago. Zero'd initially planned not to leave Hoenn until he'd found Alex, but he'd have to if he wanted the clue from that courier. Although, he wasn't quite sure how much time passed while they were there, so by now the time limit could have already come and gone. And then there was Isis... "...I'm not sure, actually. That's what I'd planned to do earlier, but now I can fly pretty much anywhere. I might go off towards the other regions to train for a while, then wrap up here, or continue training over at Mt. He was cut off by the sudden loud buzzing of the X-Transceiver on his wrist, which vibrated the table while he rested his arm on it. The surprise shot away some of the weariness that fought to shut his eyes, causing him to blink a few times before looking at the text on screen. A message from Isis. "Uh, sorry about that. Give me a second." Tapping on the screen, the full message displayed on screen for him.
"Hey Zero, I'm in Azalea with some friends, I'm not going to change anything, sorry for the scare. I hope your match went well, but I might have to take a rain check on that cheesecake. I'll see you when I can."
He couldn't help but breath a sigh of relief. Both from finally getting a reply, but also to hear everything was fine. Though... He was rather surprised to hear she hadn't gone back. "Mkay, that's fine. Good to hear everything's fine over there. I'll still be in Lilycove once you're ready to regroup." He sent the message, setting his transceiver off of vibrate and just onto a quiet notification, and returned his attention to Ajicka.
"Sorry about that. But at any rate, I'm going to wait till I meet up with Isis again to decide what I'm gonna do. Until then, I'm just gonna get as much training in as possible.

Pausing a moment, Ajicka then nodded her head conceding to the side a bit, acknowledging the point he had. "Fine, I guess that makes sense. Just don't make a big deal out of the consequences, since you should be able to know what they are by now," she said matter of factly, crossing her arms over her chest. She quirked an eyebrow a bit. "That being said... You have my info. If you end up screwing yourself over with all this, or something, you can give me a call. I know your friend... Isis? Is probably still recovering too, so if you can't contact anyone else..." She shrugged, then drew back as the waiter returned with their drinks.

She listened as he mentioned his possible plans only to be cut off by his communication device. She raised an eyebrow but sipped her drink while she waited, looking out around the restaurant, and then glancing back at him, nodding a bit. "Where is she?" she asked, after giving a nod when he mentioned waiting to meet up with isis before making any deicisoins. She was planning on going to train as much as she could as well, but, interesting as the company was, that wasn't something she was going to suggest they do together. "Johto," Zero explained, taking a sip of his drink. "She's... clearing her head, at the moment. Seems she's feeling better now." A bit of a smile shifted on his face, though he quickly rose his hand to hide it. There was at least some solace to be had in the knowledge that Isis was doing better now. There was a long moment where Ajicka stared at Zero, her expression difficult to read. Her body posture was a bit more tense, but she seemed to shake it off, at least a little, sliding back to sit up straight and lean against the chair. "Mm," she replied absently, looking out into the restaurant. She reached up to rub a finger over Joltik's body, the pokemon bristling happily in response, a few little sparks jumping out around it. She didn't even flinch, though she twitched slightly as some of them touched her skin, shocking her.
She looked back at him when he turned the question to her, giving a lack luster shrug in response. "Probably just continue training," she replied, "Maybe get a few badges from another region. Then go back to Kanto, challenge the last two gyms, and start on a new region." She looked up as their food arrived, shifting back slightly, and picking up the sandwich when it was set down, taking a bit and looking out the window to see if she could spot any sign of Jas and Ashen. Her mood was certainly much less... social now. She was certainly ready to get down to training, once she was done eating.

"I see..." The rest of their meal was spent in silence. It didn't quite bother Zero that much, though he could feel himself get sleepier and sleepier from the lack of interaction. Fortunately though, it wouldn't take that long to eat all his cheesecake, so he'd finished before he could fall asleep into it. Then he waited for Ajicka to finish her food soon after to call the waiter back for their check.
He fished out his wallet and paid his half of the bill and tip, before walking out with Ajicka. "Not gonna lie," he piped up, "after seeing what we really ate at the ball, actual, unspoiled food suddenly tastes infinitely better."

Once she managed to not think about the food, and what it was, and the implications of what it was, Ajicka was actually able to enjoy her meal. It was hot, and incredibly filling, and just what she needed before she started off on what would likely be hours of training. She was getting a better idea of what she would be doing, which was likely going to involve finding a region with a battle tower, or other battle-focused location, going there, and battling a few gyms on her way to that location, where she could challenge trainers on end. Once she get all of her pokemon a little more stronger-- or at least, her main team, so that they weren't quite so far behind Jas-- she would go and challenge Kanto, and see if she could finish off the last two gym leaders. Hopefully she could, without having to use too much of a type advantage, and then she would probably start in on another region.

She was mulling the options over as they finished their food, and paid silently, walking out with Zero and returning Joltik as she did. She would probably have to head out fairly soon, if she wanted to figure out where she was going, and--
Nearly as soon as she left the building, a chill ran up her back. She looked around, eyes wide at first, but then narrowing dangerously. What the hell.. It was the same sensation from the cave. The feeling of being watched, of being studied. She shifted, nearly missing Zero's words, and looking up at him again. She tried to shake off the feeling, reminding herself she had gone to a completely different region, and gave a shrug in response. "I don't remember if I ate anything," she replied, making a bit of a face. She tried not to think back on that; even when she'd been there, as soon as she realized the reality of the situation, she had started building up walls, to avoid thinking about what she, and any of her pokemon, might have consumed.
"Just being out of there makes everything taste a little better, though," she admitted with something that almost sounded like a sigh. She shook her head, shifting and looking up at the two fire-flying pokemon still in the sky. "They seem to be having fun," she remarked warily. She'd be able to enjoy it more if she didn't still have that prickling sensation at the back of her mind. "Do you want to let them fly around a little more? I really need to get to training...." she trailed off, gesturing with her hand, "But you have my number if you want to battle or anything." She was still in a... less than social mood now, but her mind was preoccupied, and she was too distracted to really be that annoyed. Fear was starting to creep in, and she was desperately batting that away. There was no reason to be afraid of anything, and she wasn't going to be so stupid as to let herself fall into believing that there was.

"Little doubt in that," Zero chuckled, not noticing whatever gaze may have been on Ajicka, nor her chill from it. Not that he could have even if the eyes were on him. His senses were too dulled at this point. "Up to you," he looked at the two flying-types in the air, "I don't mind them flying around a bit more, and I'm sure Ashen will come back once Jas leaves. I'll give you a call at a time when I'm more... up to it."
Giving a short wave behind him, he began walking away. Until Ashen was done up there he'll be training here, so he might as well figure out who to train first. From one fight to the next, he mused, picking out which teammate was getting first go at round two...

She considered saying something, only to deadpan as he gave a wave and headed off, rolling her eyes up to the sky, and giving a wave of her hand in return. "See ya," she muttered, starting in the other direction. What an odd guy... He was definitely out of it from that whole event they had all gone through, and yet he didn't seem to really be doing much to try and change that or improve his condition. Perhaps it was because of that that he was so out of it and seemed to miss so much while they were interacting, but Ajicka was positive that even if she'd been that bad off, she would have stayed at least somewhat attentive.
Ah well, whatever. He was a good trainer, and he'd had enough sense back at the ball, though that could have been because of his friend... girlfriend... whatever. She gave a shout to Jas to let him know they were heading out soon, then threw Fearow's ball up to release him, letting him stretch his wings a bit while she looked over a map. It took a little bit but she finally decided on a location, in Sinnoh, figuring she could perhaps get a few badges as she traveled her way to a 'Battle Island't hey apparently had there. Honestly, what better place was there to train?
With that decided, she called to Jas, hopping on Fearow's back, and taking off. Jas gave a farewell roar to Ashen, and took off after them.

While Ajicka left the region, Zero looked around for his first opponent. It took a little longer than at Mt. Pyre, but he found one none the less. Since he was the closest to evolving, he used Nu for the whole fight. All four of his enemy's pokemon were quickly defeated, and Zero continued on almost immediately.
Meanwhile, Ashen continued to fly around with Jas, right up until he had to leave. Giving a similar roar as a goodbye, the fire-flying-type turned, heading back towards Zero. However, rather than land, he flew close above. He wouldn't need him on the ground anyway, right?

Zero's next opponent had a bit more variety than he previous opponents, not that it extended the duration of the battle any. Like the others, it only took a few hits per pokemon.
