Kyrian giggled at Mano's comment about his tribe. Shaking his head he looked up as his Mother moved. The fiery orange haired female smiled gently as she helped set out the meal. Kyrian kept his hand linked with Mano's as he walked over to the large table, "Alright, all you do is grab a plate and then help yourself. Usually we make more than enough. But those passing through are always welcomed to take rations with them for their journeys."

The golden haired male picked up a plate and demonstrated what to do.

Mano found himself led before a table laden with food and his golden eyes went a bit wide, "Wow, that looks really good. Been a while since I had access to so much food. Not since I was..." He trailed off, blinked a couple times, then shook his head as he moved to pick up a plate just as Kyrian did, then followed suit grabbing as much as he felt he should. He would make sure to stuff himself to bursting if possible, that way he would at least have one good meal in him while he began his wandering anew.

Once he had his plate filled he looked over at Kyrian, giving him a smile, and then fell into step alongside him as they walked off to one side. The two of them settled down on the ground, sitting side by side, and Mano was soon digging into the food. Giving a happy sound in his throat he said, "This is so good! Thank you for inviting me for dinner, I really needed a good meal." His fin ears gave a little wiggle as he gulped down the first half of his plate, slowing down toward the middle, and was able to better enjoy the second half, and even taste.

Sorry about that Orphy, friend just wouldn't stop. I'm...not in a good mindset and she didn't help. So, I removed myself from the equation XD I'll be back online in a few hours. I work late tomorrow.

Kyrian giggled as he saw the ear wiggle, that was cute! He nodded, "Your welcome! Its how our tribe works really. Drifters are others in need, so why put your fellow beings in harms way?"

The youth dug into his own plate, licking his lips as he did so. He could taste his Mother's cooking. Giggling, "The meat there..." he gestured, "My Mother made that. I can taste her spice mix..."

Mano glanced toward Kyrian for a moment, then back to his plate again, "It's really good, she has a lot in the way of talent when it comes to cooking." He said between bites. Cooking was one of those talents that Mano envied a little. If only he was able to do the same as this woman could do, to be able to cook good food for himself. He doubted he would though, not without settling down somewhere to learn from someone, something he couldn't do at the moment. It wasn't that he didn't want to settle down it was more he just couldn't seem to do so. He was so restless these days, it was quite the bother.

Once his plate had been cleaned, he set it on his lap, "That was so good." He said in a happy voice before he flopped over to lean against Kyrian, "Thanks, it will help to keep me upbeat when I head out again. Not sure exactly where I am heading next but I will figure it out." He said, giving a nod. He had no real direction or plan but he'd figure it out as he went and hope to find more good people like Kyrian out there during his travels.

Kyrian chuckled, "Mother always has a set of small collection of spices. I think if you showed them a new dance. She might give you a small set." What Kyrian suggested was a trade. Something his tribe adored doing, "I mean...for a male drifter to show us a dance of his Tribe. Its normal around here. Its just...not normal for one of our own males to take part as well."

The youth took a slow thoughtful bite. He wanted to learn how to dance along with his music. It would be a first for his---whoa whoa whoa what was he thinking of?!? He shook his head, males of his tribe don't dance!

Mano seemed to think about it for a moment then shrugged "Maybe, I will think about." He told Kyrian, liking the idea of getting the set of spices, but wasn't sure about using his dancing to get he spices. It seemed odd, using his dancing for something so simple when he used to use it for something far different in the past. He chewed on his lip lightly before he looked up at Kyrian, "I might do it though, some spices could be useful in the future." He didn't know how the cook but he might be able to trade them for something else that could use.

Sitting up some, turning to look at Kyrian more straight on, he said, "I don't mind dancing for people, mind you, it's just a little different to dance for the fun of it instead of dancing for the reasons I was given before." He gave a bit of a smile, a lopsided one, as he added, "As for a 'a dance of my tribe' it won't be quite that, I haven't lived in Matori for some time and when I was there I was a fisherman's son, not a dancer. Dancing came a lot later."

Kyrian shifted closer to the other male as he continued to eat, "I would like to hear more...or at least as much as you want to tell. Hearing stories from visitors was always a joy for me as a youngling. No sense it wouldn't retain that to this day..." he giggled.

The youth licked his lips as he savored more of his meal. Mano really had his rapt attention.

Mano thought about it for a moment then gave a smile, "Maybe sometime." He said, reaching out to ruffle Kyrian's soft hair. He had yet to really tell any outsiders about what it was that he'd been through to this point. It was easier to remain a cheerful sort instead, so as not to worry those who he was with temporarily. Especially those like Kyrian who were so oblivious to a lot. He was the sort that Mano would rather not worry he thought to himself. Best that he just thought the best of Mano so that he didn't regret helping him out.

"Let's just say... I was drafted to learn a new skill when I was younger, dancing instead of fishing, though I must admit I do miss the latter. One day I really should see about trying that again. I am sure I will be terrible since I haven't practiced in so long but it would be fun." Yes, maybe he'd go toward the water next! That could be fun he thought to himself, "I will stay for at least a little bit longer though before I wander off to try to find a place to fish though. I would never just eat and run, I am not the sort to be so rude."

Kyrian nodded, "That's all right. Everyone has a story to tell in their own time. Right now, your story is you've made friends with me!" he chuckled as Mano ruffled his hair. He liked that, Mano was one of the few people who still ruffled his hair. He was happy to have met this male. He swallowed as his youngling brother Kerook toddled to them, "Yes Kerook?"

The youngling had a bowl of fruit, as he seemed to be struggling with. Kyrian chuckled as he set his plate to the side and helped the youngling, "Thank you Kerook." he then picked up the youngling to cradle him in one arm, "Mano this is my baby brother, Kerook. This bowl is my Tribe's specialty after meal snack. Its a collection of small bits of fruit we've gathered from remote places all over. Some of the elders figured out ways to allow the seedlings to mature in our travel paths." Kyrian explained.

Kerook had his brother wavy fair hair, his eyes a bright blue. He really looked like a mini version of his elder brother.

Mano lifted an eyebrow as he said that he had made friends with Kyrian, it was something that made him smile in a happy manner before he said, "I am glad to hear that, it means a lot to me that you are my friend." He said, wanting nothing more then to leap up and give him a big hug from the joy he felt over gaining a friend outside of Oba. His desire to pounce on Kyrian was paused though when he realized that they weren't alone.

Turning to look up at the boy he gave him a smile, "Hello there, little one." He greeted the new comer, one called 'Kerook' it would seem. Kyrian's brother? How cute he thought to himself, watching him as he picked the boy up in one arm, the two of them working together now to carry the bowl of fruit together. Mano gave the strange mix a glance before he took some of it, "Thank you, I am rather full, but I want to at least try it since it look really good." He gave the pair a nod before trying some of the sweet, dried fruit, purring over it, "It tastes good as well. Wow!" He finished off the handful he had, looking quite pleased over the treat.

As he looked at Kyrian and Kerook he asked, "Will you be heading off to help him hand the fruit out?" He was curious, wondering if he was heading on his way to help his brother with the task. He considered going along with him but instead he decided he'd stay where he was, full and comfortable, maybe he'd just lay back and enjoy the sounds of people chatting around him if that were the case.

Kyrian shook his head as his Mother walked over, "Mother is highly protective of her younglings. So...Hi Mother!"

The fiery orange haired woman smiled down at her sons, "There's my baby..." she reached down to take the youngling from Kyrian before stroking Kyrian's face. She turned to Mano, "And you...Mano right? Welcome dear."

Kyrian kept glancing between the two, sorta hoping his mother would get the hint to leave. The blond sighed, "Mother. Is there anything else you want?"

The woman smiled, "I get it...you two boys relax. I'll keep the younglings away so you can talk."

Kyrian sighed, "Well! Were you thinking of staying the night? It gets really cold. If you do I can offer you to share with my bed. I swear its bigger than it sounds!"

Mano looked up at the woman who was standing there over him, giving her a nod of his head, "Good evening, my lady." He said in a friendly voice, seeing her as being yet another of those people higher up on the food chain and therefore someone that he should act just right around lest he find himself ousted from the camp. When she welcomed him he gave her a bright smile, "You honor me with your welcome, my lady, thank you." A moment later, at Kyrian's insistence she was on her way with her younger son.

Mano lifted a hand, giving the woman a little wave as she left, before his attention went back to Kyrian, "Am I staying the night? If I am allowed to do so. A bit of rest on top of the food would be nice. I have done a lot of walking of late so getting a little bit of down time before I get back at it, that would be nice." He murmured, then found himself tilting his head to one side at the invitation he was getting, something that made him chuckle. Mano gave Kyrian a curious look, his eyes sparkling with amusement, as he said, "You would be surprised how often I get that sort of invitation... though I bet you are thinking about the two of us getting some sleep, huh?" Kyrian seemed too innocent to think of anything else after all, at least what Mano had seen from him thus far.

Unable to resist Mano gave Kyrian a little wink before quickly adding, "If you're alright with it, I don't mind curling up near you for some sleep. It has been a tiring day." He slept better near others, lovers or not, so the invitation was a welcome one.

Orpheus Solon
you can time skip in your next post.

Kyrian smiled then blinked, "Mmmhmmm...sleep is a good thing for someone who's been traveling as much as I think you might of. It'd be like the times my childhood friend used to share my bed with me!"

The youth blushed for some reason then shaking his head he glanced over at his Father. the elder male staring intently at him. Kyrian looked upset for a moment before looking back to Mano, "So...when dark falls I'll take you to my tent. We can rest and then in the morning I'll see you off. Sound like a plan?"

SwordOfTheDarkOnes

It had just like Mano had expected when the two of them had gone back to Kyrian's tent, the two of them engaging in the completely innocent and expected activity that was sleeping. In fact never once, even in the dark of night, did Kyrian try anything. It was pretty weird, but something that Mano would chalk up to a new experience shared with a very strange and oblivious boy. There was a part of the Water Tribesman that wanted to ask if Kyrian even knew where babies came from... but he'd decided against it. This was how his tribe wanted him raised for reasons beyond Mano and he'd leave them to it. He'd probably end up leaving in general as well, he knew already this wasn't the place he was looking for by instinct along, which was a shame since he liked Kyrian.

Pushing himself so that he was sitting up right he undid the braids in his hair, running his fingers through the emerald locks to get them into some semblance of control before redoing his hair once more. First he did the biggest of the braids, that which kept the majority of his hair under control, then some smaller ones as well that were more decorative. Once that was done he pushed to his feet, gathering up his clothing, and set to getting dressed, his fishhook necklace the last thing he put on. Once all of that was done he glanced toward the sleeping Kyrian, considering waking him for a moment, then found himself debating against it. Kyrian had mentioned seeing him off but at the same time he was resting so comfortably. Not to mention it might be best to do this in the manner of a clean break. He'd noticed the looks that Kyrian's father had been giving them all night, displeased looks, he knew them well. It might be for the best if he headed on his way sooner then later so as not to rile the guy up anymore then he already had.

Stretching out all over Mano scooped up his shoes and headed out of the tent, pulling them on once he was outside. He'd let Kyrian sleep he thought to himself, not wanting to risk causing a rift between the family members. Mano was sure if he had a family of his own that he wouldn't want some stranger mucking it up for him, as such he'd try his best not to do so to Kyrian, not when he was such a sweetheart.

Kyrian blinked as he felt a chill. Rising up he saw Mano had left. No! The youth looked around his tent. Did Mano notice his father's gaze? Crap! Kyrian scowled, this wasn't how he wanted his friends to feel. Mano was one of his rare friends outside of the family group. He mind made up the youth stood and quickly dressed intent on following Mano. He said he would see the other off and he was going to. Kyrian's personal code wouldn't let him just let a friend leave without some form of goodbye.

He darted outside and looked around. Noticing slight tracks he smiled and chased after Mano. Finding his new friend on the bare outskirts he reached out to grab Mano's arm.

"Mano! I said I would see you off, didn't I?" he was a tad breathless but had an idea, "A promise. I don't intend to stay with my family my whole life. I have a friend I want to find." he leaned forward to press a gentle kiss to Mano's lips, "We'll see each other again. Maybe next time we'll have an even bigger adventure together with other friends!"
