He reached for the flower crown as soon as it was presented, realizing almost too late that doing so might appear a little selfish and childish, two -ishes that were not good for his image as a leader of students. Rojo dropped his hands and stood, bowing slightly to the demon.
"Thank you very much!" he said before reaching for it again, his grabby fingers twitching as they took it. He tried to get it over the brim of his hat, removing the hat and placing the crown directly on his head when that didn't work. "I wish you the best of luck too!"
Rojo watched Ruth as he retook his seat, suspecting that he might know what she was trying to say. Even if he didn't, banjos were something he could talk about anyway, and she had gestured at his...

Shiki headed back to the booth. He was a little nervous but he wasn't going to play a game this time. The skeleton had an instrument and he thought maybe.... Kneeling down by the booth he pulled out a shamisen and started to play a soft accompaniment to anything being played at the time, his ears folded slightly and eyes closed. ((Rojo gains a new party member! Shiki level ) 0 joins the party. *plays final fantasy level up music*)) Smerdle [ aw we can talk about you having more after the event XDD and it's not really one from each tier, it's one of each prize from each tier but i'll clarify individually as people win. my ability to make things clear is horrible today :B

Ruth's hands clasped together and the smile widened. If her eyes had not been so obscured by her hair and headgear, they would have been visibly shining in hope. She tried to radiate her delight at the prospect of seeing Llyr (or more creeple in general) play the banjo.
The sounds of an additional instrument reached her ears and the blonde reaper turned in surprise. She said nothing to the boil playing a... a... what sort of instrument was that?

Shiki looked up from where he had been playing his own music on his shamisen and arched his back. He placed the lute like instrument carefully on its case before moving over and picking up the banjo. Maybe he would try again?
It was still rather scary to think he was being judged but really how can a banjo be so different from his own instrument.
"M-may I try again?"
He started strumming away, and though he couldn't make the sounds as he wanted with the strange instrument, he didn't do too bad one out of three times. "N-no.... I.." He sighed and moved back to his own instrument. "Better here.."

Sucre liked the look of this booth. It was colorful and loud and a grinning skeleton sat behind it. That and she knew the boil had candy and she wanted some so bad! She wasn't sure what public relations entailed but it was one of the fancier sound positions. Upon approaching the booth and boil more closely she was distracted by the boil's, well, pretty bones. He sported so many designs and colors, she couldn't help but stare. The boil recited a slogan, causing Sucre, who eyes were hidden behind all of her slime but where otherwise growing wide, to grin. His first words were big treats, this is something Sucre would back one-hundred percent! She eagerly snagged a badge and a handful or two of candy. "You have a great bone structure!" She said, genuinely complimenting him, bits of candy floating in the go around her throat..

He nodded at the vampire who passed by the booth and shot a grin at Shiki when the kitsune returned. Rojo perked up when he saw the shamisen, glad to find someone else who played. It even looked a bit like a banjo, which led the skeleton to believe it might play like one too.
Unfortunately, his judges back home weren't so open minded, at least not today and not about the music they wanted to hear. "Don't worry about it. They'll change their minds." Probably. The creatures in his town could be quite stubborn.
"Thank you!" he said, turning to the slime monster. "I have never seen anyone like you! Are you candy?" She certainly looked like candy. How intriguing!

Sucre thought about the boil's question for a moment before she replied, grin returning, "I'm not sure, I've never eaten myself, that would be odd. I eat a lot of candy though...so you are what you eat!" she seemed happy to come to that conclusion. "Well, I hope you do well in the voting! I really like your candy! I'll check out your competition but they will be hard pressed to one-up your treats!" It was probably sad that food won Sucre votes.

A skeleton??? Anna should have been more prepared. Another student she didn't remember interacting with at the last set of booths was now running for...She wasn't quite sure o.o She looked back at the signs confusing herself.... Public Relations? What was that?
She decided to take up the challenge and play for the judges on the phone. Nodding to herself she prepared and played the song. After hearing the response she gladly put down the instrument. "You still won but I feel exhilarated after that. Thank you" She bowed to the ...Young man? Nodding at him gleefully.

Music, all that was a familiar sound; the lyrical strum of strings and the acoustic sound of that wooden frame. Uru was drawn to it was curiosity, his brows knitted together as he tried to focus on the sound, maneuvering around booths and students until he came upon the little boil with a banjo. He was nearly jumping out of his seat, his eye sockets seemed to get wider as he approached. The undead went on about that the banjo was from his father and he would agree, the undead was quite skilled with the instrument. Uru took the proffered instrument with apprehension, looking between it and the boil. A duel!? He barely was able to play his guitar let alone this thing and he was self taught! What was he suppose to do, do a scale? A chromatic scale? A trill? A random solo that he was just going to rip through? Before he knew it, he already nodded in agreement. Jack...The first round was just a case of mimicry and he failed at it. Jeez, this thing wasn't tuned at all! AND IT WAS DEFINITELY NOT LIKE A GUITAR! The second ground was better... but definitely not as good as the undead boil's. Okay, the last one was a fail and a half. Uru looked at the guitar, offended that it couldn't play better but it was more his fault than it. With a dramatic sigh, the demon handed the undead the banjo back.

Was that true? Rojo didn't normally eat much of anything at all, but he'd had quite a lot of tea lately. He hoped he remained solid. His burst of mild horror well hidden by his unchanging expression, Rojo turned to Sucre and extended his hand for a shake.
"Thank you again. I will be here if you need more candy!"Setting down his banjo after Anna had dueled him, Rojo clapped for the ghoul and smiled. "You're welcome! You were very good." He bowed back and handed over her prize.AnhikaJeanine You can win more than once a day, you just can't ever win the same thing twice over the entirety of the event! As the banjo was handed back, the skeleton said, "Come back and try again soon!" encouragement lifting his voice.I'm going to be sending out prizes tomorrow because I'm incredibly exhausted tonight and have something I need to do away from the computer! I promise they will come though!

Having watched enough students try out the banjo, Ruth found herself succumbing to peer pressure. Despite the fact no one was really pressuring her. She shuffled her feet a little shyly as she inspected the banjo, testing out its weight and the tension in the strings. Ruth wasn't a very musical ghoul, and things that produced sound tended to be as far removed from her as possible.
So when they started the first round, Ruth simply blanked her mind and let her fingers move of their own accord. The blonde only became aware that her performance was acceptable when she heard applause. For her.
A little self-conscious now of her performance, Ruth became more aware of what her fingers were doing and what she was strumming out. It was clearly beginner's luck but she still seemed to show some promise in the second round.
For the final round, Ruth couldn't help but fixate on the humming. She rather liked it and tried to keep up whatever it was she was doing to maintain the odd, white-noise-like sound.Smerdle What is this. I don't even. AM I DOING THIS RIGHT? Misjudged? Rojo wondered how she had seen him before. Well, no matter! It seemed she thought better of him now, at least.
"You're welcome!"When the blond ghoul finally took a seat on her own, Rojo smiled widely as he handed her the challenger's banjo. He was expecting another fairly simple victory, but she gave him a run for his money, earning kudos from his friends (and enemy) not once, not twice, but three times.
"You are very good!" he said once she had stopped playing. Or very lucky. Or very magically enhanced. To be honest, reapers were a bit of a mystery to the boil. Were they capable of increasing their banjo skills with spells? If they were, he wanted in on some of that.
Rojo pulled a bulging bag of swag out from behind the booth, handing it over to Ruth. "I look forward to playing with you again someday!"
