Mikora looked over at Okami, wondering whether her talk about rules and laws were being directed at her. But since she really couldn't tell and for the sake of peace, she let it go. "My brother gave me the same speech last night Okami. Though, like he'll listen to his own advice. He's probably going to try and speak with the twins," Miko whispered, taking a sip of tea before continuing "It's what Ollor would want him to do on his behalf or something like that."
Then she returned to Leti, taking another sip to prepare for a long speech. She made sure to gather her words before speaking and made a few pauses to make sure her throat wouldn't act up too much "My brother Lucien is an ambassador to the wind spirits. Part of what they call a Wind Court. You met one of them last night, he helped us out with the people." a pause for breathe. "Basically Wind Court dictates what the wind spirits do, where the wind blows, how the weather fares. Keeps some order to that chaos. But wind spirits like humans, and often help us out, but in exchange they want us to do something they can't, a favor." A pause for breathe and sip of tea "Wind Spirits don't have bodies, so often enough their favors involve something that can't be moved by the wind, like untying a net that's blocking their path, or diving into a stream so they can see some shiny rock." Another pause for breathe. "In return if you need something done only by wind, like sending word faster and more spread out than by cell phone, changing the weather even," yet another pause for breathe and another sip of tea "My brother basically acts like their face, so people can see what they talking to, otherwise you just look silly talking to thin air," She said, laughing at the image it presented and the irony of the statement. "In return for his service to the Wind Court the winds spirits actually made him a wind elemental, he can turn himself into breeze whenever he feels like it. Ticks me off whenever I try to throw something at him, he just pops into a breeze, it sails through, and he reappears laughing his head off." She told the two, sounding incredibly peeved, while at the same time there was a lot of love in that ruined voice for her brother.

Leticia grinned as Okami gave them the "abide by the law" spiel and thought the blue-haired girl sounded like she knew more about breaking the law than following it. The whole thing was made funnier by Mikora as she mentioned her brother echoing Okami's words. This Lucien sounded like a good little puppy following his master's orders from the way Mikora described him. However, she said nothing of it and kept her trap closed as she finished her drink and ordered a banana boat and a goober. She wouldn't get drunk off of these, but she would certainly enjoy them.
As Leti sipped her banana boat, she listened as Mikora explained things about wind spirits and a Wind Court. It all sounded pretty far-fetched to her, but after spending some time in this town, she had to accept it. This was especially true when she remembered the blond ghost guy from the party, the one who said Mikora's name and helped gather everyone's attention. He was the one Mikora called Ollor— God, Imma so slow. The Ollor from the party's the one Mikora says Lucien works for, or whatever. Sitting straight with this new revelation in mind, Leti paid close attention to everything the wispy-voiced girl said. Wind Court was like any other court, except it was probably more fair than any human court in the history of history. And the wind spirits essentially were like ghosts, except they didn't haunt people and potentially try to kill them if they don't leave their homes. By this line of thought, Leticia concluded that Lucien was the equivalent of a psychic medium for the wind spirits. Wait. Weren't ghosts and spirits the same? It meant they really could haunt people if they wanted to, but chose not to because they were like little kids who liked shiny things and playing around? Didn't that make Lucien an actual medium?!
Leti felt a headache growing as she thought more and more about it until she decided to cut the thoughts out of her head. She'd keep this simple for her sanity. "If he ever does that again, just turn on da vacuum and suck 'im up. That'll show 'im what h'ppens when he messes wit'cha." She had no idea what a wind elemental was, but it sounded like the exact same thing as a wind spirit, except Lucien wasn't dead.

Kuro the Dark Twin Heiress, Aura the Forest Elf, Sol the Golden Twin, Luna the Silver Twin, Malum the Dark Elf, Topaz/Crim the gender shifting Dragoness, Okami the Town Guardian. ______________________________________ Okami laughed a bit at the humor. That wouldn't work since the vacuum just dispelled the air again, but it might be funny at the least. "Are you taking all this in Leti? I know you weren't really born into all this weirdness." She offered a chance to ask some things, she herself was probably about to go find one of the twins to discuss things with, and as such was fidgeting thoughtfully in her seat.

Miko chuckled dryly at Leti's suggestion, partly because she knew it would absolutely terrify Lucien. It was in fact the main reason they didn't have a vacuum cleaner in their house. Sure he would be able to come the other end just fine, but the fact that he was forced into something would freak any wind spirit out. But when Okami asked if she was getting all of it, she had to mentally kick herself. I knew I should made that easier, d**n why couldn't Lucien be here to explain all this. He's so much better at the talking thing than I am. Blushing fiercely, Miko stammered out a whisper "S-s-Sorry if that came out.. weird. It's kinda hard to explain, And I'm not a good talker." Miko finished with a drink of wine to accentuate her point. But she decided to add in another little tidbit. By now the wine was starting to get to her, making her Italian accent come out, and thickly. "But if you ever need a wind spirit for anything, just call out their name. A minute or so later they'll come to you and you ask for the favor. Or you can get my brother, Okami, and the twins to do it for you. Lucien's one of them, and Okami and the twins basically own them in Kuro Shiro." Miko took another sip of wine, finishing off the glass so she could pour another. "At least that's what Lucien tells me they do."
{Seriously though, if you guys ever need a wind spirit, just quote me and I can work them for you, like Kuro or Okami call up Ollor anytime they want. Heck, I bet Kuro could have Ollor met her at the library if you want Dreams}

Leticia waved away both Okami's concern and Mikora's apology. She was just happy she could make both girls laugh with her advice. "Don'tcha worry, 'Kami. Ima quick learner, though it's all still strange and stuff. Mikora, I wasn't brought up wit'this magic and all that. Truth be told, I completely freaked out when them tiger family up and appeared at the fountain. One moment, a cute pair of babies were toddling along with their big bros and sistas, and the next, two tiger cubs were splashing in the fountain. It was surreal, I'm tellin'ya." The African American then directed her next words to Mikora especially to reassure her of everything. "I may not understand everything, but I will call on you, Mikora when I need some help. You and Okami. It's just gonna get some gettin' use to, having dependable people to rely on." Inwardly, Leti cringed when Mikora said Okami and her sisters owned the Ollar guy and Lucien. No one should be owned. It was wrong. It was cruel. It wasn't right.
Yet she couldn't say a word without it bein' seen as a racial thing.
[I will keep that in mind. I think Tachibana may ask for your wind spirit's assistance from time to time.]

((Confirm things that involve one of my characters or that involve the entirety of the town before you say them.))
"They are helpers of the town, we don't own them. Well at least I don't claim ownership of any of them. Heck I don't even have a cat." She chuckled a bit, anything that made her thing of her past made her uncomfortable. People following orders was one of them. "Most spirits are actually pretty helpful, if they like or respect you at the least. Whatever relationship they had with the founders of the town must have been great because Ollor and the others keep the weather pretty fabulous around here. I hardly have to ask a thing." She praised the spirits. Okami honestly felt more like the town owned her more than she it, and Mikora's words made her uncomfortable. If she had inherited any sort of living property, she should probably find out. She didn't want any servants and slaves. But it had never crossed her mind.
Well you have my number if you need anything, I have some work to do and apparent kin to talk to." She rose, with her drinks finished and such she promised to come back and pay for it at the end of the week, like she always did. This meant the girls could snack more if they wanted too.

{My apologies, I thought we had already discussed and agreed on this subject when we were building the guild and several times afterwards in person. In fact was primary reason Ollor was created. My apologies for the confusion.}
Mikora nodded in gratitude, some of the weight thrown off her shoulders with Leti's reassurances. She gave a dry chuckle at her description of Axel's family. "Yeah, Axel and his brothers and sisters, they all cause quite a scene. Took me some time too. Despite my brother, I'm not really magical. Everything I got comes from jewelry or experience." She whispered. She was feeling pleasantly warm, knowing someone could depend on her, though she was sure the wine was helping a lot. And meant her tongue was loosening quite a bit, her accent becoming more pronounced as time went on.
She frowned a little when Okami began to state she was leaving, a small voice at the back of her head saying she must have made her uncomfortable. Da*n the wine, I said too much and everybody uncomfortable. "You sure need to leave now? Didn't you two just get here?" she whispered exasperatedly, nearly reaching her throat's breaking point in exclaimation. She hurriedly quenched her throat in tea. "Sorry if I said anything too stupid." Mikora had only been speaking her opinion on what her brother Lucien's job in Kuro Shiro had been like, but it appeared she had screwed it up with her words yet again.

[Rodger that, Dreams.]
Leticia relaxed as Okami clarified what Ollor and the other wind spirits' connection to the town really was. It wasn't ownership, just a friendship or whatever inherited through good will. Knowing the wind spirits worked for the town rather than being owned by them made her more comfortable. Leti wanted to ask more questions, but Okami moved to excuse herself. It wasn't like Leti didn't expect Okami to leave, but she was disappointed she was going. Yet it was Mikora's reaction to Okami leaving that shocked the African American.
Placing a hand on Mikora's shoulder, Leticia searched for the words to comfort the wispy-voiced girl. "Don'tcha worry, Mikora. Okami wasn't plannin' on stayin' too long. She's got 'er own research tado 'bout da town and them kin she was speakin' of," she said as she rubbed the girl's back to comfort her. She could see Mikora regretted what she said, but it wasn't like Leti found anything offensive. From the short time they've known each other, Leti figured out what Mikora meant most of the time. When it came to heavy topics, like ownin' people, she was on the fence, but it didn't mean Leti could take offense to the way a person talked if they didn't mean it or regret it afterwards. Mikora was a good person, Leti could just tell, so she would not let her fret so much. "You said nuthin' stupid, Mikora. Maybe mispoke an' whatnot, but you ain't stupid. If you were, you wouldn't understand half da stuff you was talkin' 'bout." It was true. Mikora said so herself that though she wasn't magical, she got what she got from experience, and experience counted for a lot in her book. "Now, keep drinkin' dat tea of yours. Even wit' dat sexy Italian accent of yours, I can hear your voice strainin' and all." If she could get Mikora to smile again, to be a bit happy, Leticia could feel like she hadn't ruined the mood and whatnot.
[I feel like Leticia has caught herself between two very different people and will have a very interesting future.]

"It is nothing, she's right I have work to do. You two have fun." She waved a bit over her shoulder. "Let me know if you need anything. I am going to check the family history first, so I will be at the library for a few hours."Okami vanished as she opened the door and the dim building was briefly brightened before the door swung shut behind her.

{Agree with you completely Snow, Leti's got her work cut out for her}
Mikora watched as Okami left, shielding her eyes when the door opened and closed, with a mixture of relief and disappointment. Automatically she felt like she could breathe easier knowing she wasn't be looked at by one of the owners of the town, even if this owner seems a little less authoritarian then Miko had imagined. But she felt even better with Leti constantly reassuring her. Miko wasn't ever the chatting kind of person, her paranoia as a thief kept her from that, and as a result she constantly fretted over her words, especially now since she could spare only so few of them. She waved away Leti's concern over her throat though with a dry chuckle "My throat will be fine, I've had worse done to it, but thanks. Just wish I could talk better, especially with this sexy Italian accent of mine." She whispered reassuringly, taking a sip from her tea to make her feel better. "She really shouldn't have paid for us though. Could come back to bite her in the butt, paying for a thief and her new best friend like that. We could sweep the place." Miko whispered with mock-incredulousness, though she had no plans to do so. Miko didn't want Okami on her tail. In fact Miko was actually planning on actually paying for her time here as well as a couple other things today.

[That she does, and I honestly don't have a clue how this will turn out for her, Okami, and Miko.]
Leticia grinned when she felt Mikora visibly relax, though she still worried over her. Mikora looked disappointed, yet relieved. Why that was, Leti hadn't the faintest of ideas, but so long as she wasn't so tense, she'd chalk it up to nerves or somethin' like that. Actually, what Leti should worry about was Mikora's eyesight. The light from the outside seemed to hurt her wispy-voiced friend, which was not good. Does she not go outside enough? Well, I'll change that. You need to be visible to be invisible. It was a saying on the streets for thieves. The best way to succeed was by blending into the crowd, and sometimes that meant by being often noticed, which subsequently lead to being ignored by everyone.
But Leticia didn't say none of that. No, instead the young woman laughed as Mikora chuckled, throwing back her head and just laughing. Mikora took what Leti had said and made a joke of it. Good, that was what she liked to see. "Well," Leticia finally said as the rest of Mikora's words registered, "nuthin' we can do 'bout it, or her." She winked, but she would never "sweep the place" as Mikora put it. The last thing she wanted was somebody on her tail, much less Okami. And after I've finally lost that jackass. The image of her awful ex-boyfriend instantly popped into her. She mentally scowled at it. She was threw with trash like him. If she just stayed here, in Kuro Shiro, all her fears and worries would disappear.
"So, do ya want ta hang out later t'night? Af'er work, I ain't got not plans or nuthin' and I could use da company." And she wasn't sure when Okami would be done with her research and family time. Aside from that, she was still deep in the "stay over at my place" hole she dug for herself earlier. It wasn't like she could not stay over at Okami's place tonight, but she wasn't going to leave Mikora hanging tonight either. If she could manage it, she'd hang out some more with Mikora and sleep at Okami's place, then do the reverse the next day. It was a simple fix. Nothing could go wrong, right?

{Those infamous last words}
Mikora raised an eyebrow at Leti's suggestion of hanging out and sipped on her tea before finally answering. It wasn't a hesitation from being unwilling, gods no, but merely one of uncertainty. She never had anyone to hang out with, not even when she was with the Roman guilds did she really have somebody to spend leisurely time with. "I can promise you company even through work, that's a definite, but whether or not it's fun is the question. Never really hung out with people much you know. But I guess afterwards I can show you the house--that way you at least know where it is and all." Miko added in hurriedly, not wanting to sound too pushy about it. Miko was concerned about where Leti was sleeping, seeing as she had no place to go, but now it seemed to be fueled even further by the fact Okami was promising the same thing, which most likely meant a much more plush place than Miko could get ever. But as soon as those thoughts came up, Miko would shoot them down I've got no reason to be jealous of a place I can probably break into anyways. If Leti wants to sleep there, it should be fine by me. Da*n wine. Miko thought, resolute in the idea that the wine was making her head too fuzzy too quick.

[Oh yes. cool ]
Leticia finished up her food as she waited for Mikora to gather her thoughts. She had already finished her drinks, so she had nothing left to fiddle with beside her food. The combination of food and alcohol had a sobering affect on her. Well, so did water, which she had ordered along with her food, but she finished her water right after her alcohol. "How'd ya be able to hang 'round durin' my work? Got some special knickknack that'll let ya spy on me?" she asked as she leaned closer to Mikora, smelling the wine on the other girl's breath. It smelled like it was good wine. "And whadya mean whether 'r not it's fun? I'm just takin' to yer now an' I'm havin' fun. Don'tchya worry, Mikora, we get 'long fine, so I sees no way we ain't havin' fun t'night." This was true. Holding a conversation with Mikora came easier than most conversations she ever had. It felt good and natural, and she could probably spend her whole day talkin' to her. "But I'd love ta go over yer house, 'specially considerin' I don't hang 'round the neighborhoods, so I don't know where it is," said the African American, beaming at the idea. It would be nice having Mikora show her the way. It would be nice to just idly chat on the way to her home while scoping out the other houses. Whenever someone new entered a neighborhood, folks were sometimes not the most welcoming. She needed to know who won't mind a new face and who will, who was racist and who wasn't. The woman only prayed that Mikora didn't leave near those tiger kids. As much as she loved kids and cats, she couldn't survive living beside kids who turned into huge, homicidal cats.

Miko smiled slyly as Leti asked her if she had anything special, but began to slowly edge back just a bit. She wasn't sure if it was Leti's closeness or the wine that was making the blood go to her cheeks, but either way she turned her head before nodding "Yeah I have a couple of things to help me out, beyond just being that good at not being noticed." Mikora reached into her shirt and by her thumb pulled out a small silver-chain necklace adorned with a single jewel. A skilled enough thief could tell from looking at the chain that it was easily worth a hundred or or two dollars in 24-karat silver, but but the coup-de-grace was the single cat's eye jewel that pieced the two ends of the chain together, a brilliant amber gem split in half by dark jet, easily the size of a quarter and set by an intricate design of silver leaves. "I make a very nice little black cat with this, just like your average stray looking for a meal from a kind lady." Miko whispered, grinning devilishly. And she was glad Leti seemed to want to see the house, thankful she didn't think Miko was too pushy about getting her to her house. "It's not the most... wealthiest part of town, but people generally leave me and Luce alone. Actually, they all kind of straight up avoid each other, but that's the privacy me and Luce wanted. Cheap too." Mikora confessed of her neighborhood. Miko was obsessed with security, her thieving lifestyle sending paranoia skyrocketing through her, and as a result had wanted a neighborhood she she could live in and not ever have to deal with neighbors that would willingly rat her out. Everyone in her area had stole or were stealing for a living, no cops that showed up were told s**t out of the thieves code of honor.
