[Prompt Response]
After most of the pain had gone away, the twelve year old walked back up to the starting zone, ready to try again. Firing a grapple at a tree, she cleared the first two trees again, but slammed into the third again, as well. Peeling herself off of it, she launched forward again, clearing the fourth, but hitting all the rest. Lenore limped back to the starting zone.

While he had more or less succeeded already, Shun went on to do a few more runs of the course. He didn't really do much better, still only managing to avoid about half of the trees. The beating he was taking was starting to really take a toll on him, but he was too stubborn to just leave this be just yet.

Farvardin stood braced when she saw Santos was their instructor today. Hearing his 'speech' didn't make her wince or droop but it did make her question her sanity at doing this. When they were told to suit up she quickly got her gear on.
She did some final adjustments as a couple of other trainees did their run. She took a deep breath when it was her turn. She launched herself up to the starting tree branch and eyed the course she was to take. She breathed out and began her run.
She managed to dodge the first tree and as she glanced back in triumph she grazed the next one. That'd teach her to not watch where she was going. She look forward in time to quickly dodge the next one. She grinned as she flew through the air and dodged another. She misjudged the next one and another one after that. She hit her arm on one and nearly cried out in pain. On her next miss she bashed her foot on a lower branch. She dodged the last one and landed on the ground. She hobbled a few steps due to the pain her foot but overall she felt very successful.

After a few minutes of rest Farvardin stepped up to do another run. She grinned as she took off flying through the trees. She was enjoying this more than she had thought, especially after how bad she had started with the swings. She managed to do good at the beginning. Then she got a bit cocky about it and slammed her gear into a tree. She managed to recover to dodge the next tree. However she was a bit shaken and sore from the gear cutting into her side so badly. Thus she ended hitting her head on branch that was sticking out more than she thought. She was spitting leaves out of her mouth when the next tree was upon her. She tried her best to dodge it but her gear hit it rather hard. She tried to shoot out a grapple and it took a moment before it finally spit it out. She dodged the last tree and made it safely to the ground. Once on the ground she walked out of the way of anyone else and just sat down nursing her bruised sides. Shun wanted to perfect this. So far, however, he wasn't doing too well of doing just that. He still hit more trees than avoiding them.

Before trying again, Shun took some time to watch a few of the others in an attempt to take a few mental notes on how they were moving. They were going pretty quickly in the air, so studying wasn't really all too easy. In a way, it was good that he was being somewhat consistent with his runs now. But at the same time, he knew he could do better. He still wasn't too sure what it was that held him back.

To err is human; to forgive, divine. Unfortunately, Shakuntala was really beginning to hate trees and the fact they were getting in her way as she practiced the course one more time. She screwed up the most here; her frustrations clouding her instincts and leaving her open for a pummeling. By the time she reached the end battered and bruised, she threw her hands up and released the gear on her waist to let it tumble to the grass. When she was in a better mood, she'd try again.

Prompt response
Mykanos took his turn with the tree's, his larger body causing a bit of trouble when it came to balance, like with the swings. He managed to get nicked and bumped by tree's here and there... more times than he did missing them. But at least he missed some.

He did pretty well with his next round about, at the start, weaving and dodging with more success... but his momentum was still getting the better of him, making his ending not as strong as he'd liked. And quite a few more bruises and slaps against his body to boot.

prompt response It was amazing to him that humans could even do this sort of thing. While he was no stranger to agility or speed, he'd never had the chance or need to use his body in this way. It was a welcomed challenge, and rather exhilarating. He was starting to get the groove of it, while still grazing a few tree's here and there, the rhythm was starting to sink in.

After some rest, and a few bandages as well, Shun was at it again. He was off to a pretty good start. Though, it wasn't anything particularly spectacular. He grazed against a few trees during this initial run. Once he landed, he looked back through the course with a furrowed brow. He hadn't conquered it yet.

Shun readjusted his equipment, then got back to work. He didn't really do much better. The young man shook his head after finishing, before gingerly nursing his arm. The trees were beating him up pretty good.

[Prompt Response]
Alec had been more than a little frustrated from the other morning, and balancing in the harness. It hadn't been exactly flawless, but he'd kept practicing. So when it came time to work with actually using the grapple hooks, and balancing on his own accord he'd been eager to start. Double, and triple checking he had everything on properly he fidgeted as it was at last his turn. Once he was completely suited up, he took a deep breathe...exhaling before lifting himself off the ground. While he was nervous to say the least, this part of their training was essential. There could be no hesitating..he wanted to do this, and to do it right.
He came past his first tree, he felt a surge of confidence after easily avoiding it, this reaction made him slower, distracted by his rush of excitement; the next tree came too soon, grazing his arm against the rough bark. The snap of a branch reminded him to focus up. Alec winced, but instead of locking up and panicking he pushed off, moving to the next turn, the next grapple hook striking home in time for him to duck, and weave past the rest of the tree series. Once done and setting himself back down on the ground he gave a sigh of relief. Being small, and agile had its merits. Not to bad! Dammit that hurts if you mess up...Have to be more careful. He thought to himself, quietly rubbing his arm, deciding he defiantly needed more practice.

[Prompt Response]Alec started off his next go-around a bit rough, smacking his leg into a tree branch as he pulled himself around the first tree obstacle. The radiating pain certainly wasn't comfortable, but he didn't let it stop him. Come on...you can do it. After the initial slip up, he gained momentum, swinging, and dodging the toll of his trying to push himself to fast close to the end of the course proved to be a mistake, bumping into the tree adding a few more bruises to his arms to admire later, luckily he was able to catch himself and finish strongly. While not as smooth as his first run, he still had managed to avoid 6 of the 8 large trees as instructed. Back on the ground he adjusted his gear, adjusting his boot strap slightly a satisfied smile on his face watching his fellow trainee's come and go. Even if they'd all had a bump or two, the determination, and mechanical training was well worth the occasional discomfort. Really he was just proud of everyone and their facing any residual second thoughts. If it was up to him he'd stay off the ground, beside the little bit of blood he'd wiped off his lip from the impact of a branch he felt pretty good about his runs thus far, the pull of the straps as he moved while uncomfortable at times was certainly a fair trade for the added mobility.
