"Well - well I'm not a human! I don't know what your families are like," she complained. "I'm not an idiot!" His words caused her delicate brows to furrow in confusion, however. She was determined not to ask about what he meant, though, because she was certain he'd just tell her he was stupid again. "I can't believe I ever felt sorry for you," she grumbled.
"So you pretty much are bull-headed," she replied matter-of-factly. "''Offence' meaning 'attack first, think later. If at all'."

Aiden 'sat up' as he laughed mockingly. "If you ever felt 'sorry' then you have quite the way of showing it." He stopped laughing then swam over to the bank and finally climbed out of the water. "You admit to not understanding humans yet you seem to think you do with all your past talk."
"No, offense does not have to mean 'attack first, think later', idiot. It simply means one who goes on the attack." He said and wrung out his coat. "Though that is clearly how you react with however many times you have tossed things at me with out thinking."

"I understand what they've done to plants and wildlife," she said. "I don't understand them as they understand themselves. And who ever said I wanted to show it?" As he approached the bank, she got up and warily backed away from him, as if worried he carried some disease.
"Stop calling me that! I'm not an idiot. If you -must- call me something, call me Catreena," she insisted. "But really, being the one to attack is the stupid thing. You provoked me! So you are really the one to 'attack' first! But now that I see you are of the offensive division, it makes sense."

"So basically you understand nothing of them." Aiden said then shook his head, making some droplets of water fly. "Knowing a wolf pack eats deer is next to worthless knowledge with out the rest." He ignored her movements, not concerned with her backing up.
"What ever you say Tree." He smirked. Why would he call her by her name? It would imply he wanted to know her more if he did and he would rather not. "Oh yes, perfect defense there. 'He spoke to me so I threw things at him even though he made not move to attack me therefore I was provoked!'." He mocked her and put a hand on his cheek dramatically. "Don't blaim others for assault."

"I understand more than they do about themselves! After all, they can't possibly see themselves as the rest of the world sees them," she said, putting up an arm and hand to shield herself from the flying droplets. "Knowing a wolf pack eats deer is more than enough knowledge for the deer."
"It's 'Catreena', NOT 'Tree'!" she told him. "I'm not a plant, I'm a dryad! You don't know anything about me or my kind, either!" Oh, she wanted to do something so badly to wipe that smirk off his face! But what? "You were threatening me!"

"No, you clearly don't know much of anything about humans. And it is not enough for the deer, it is only enough to know to run but not enough to know how to survive." To know to run is useless if you don't know where to run, or for how long, or even if you can run because there might be others waiting for you.
"Oh but you look like a 'Tree' to me, after all I'm nothing but a stupid human right?" Aiden said in a mocking tone. "I don't claim to know about your kind like you keep claiming of mine. But if I judged you the way you judge humans based on your 'knowledge' I would have to say dryads are nothing but self righteous beings that think they know better then everyone. After all they clearly know when something is going to die because 'mother nature' tells them." He laughed. "Oh yes, so threatening. I never even muttered a threat not made any moves that could be considered threatening. The only time I attacked was in defense of your thievery. I guess dryads are also thieves too then."

"Well you don't know about nymphs, so we're even!" Catreena shot back. But then, more curiously, "...Well then, what else -would- they have to know about wolves to survive?" she asked, puzzled. It hadn't seemed to occur to her that there could have been more to it than that.
"So get smarter and learn!" she said, frustrated. "I only -pretend- to be a tree sometimes. I'm a tree spirit." Frowning at him, she would have never liked to admit it, but she could see he had a point. "D-don't laugh at me! Just your mere existence is threatening. I shouldn't even be talking to you!" Turning her back to him, she stuck her nose in the air as she had seen others do when they were trying to ignore someone. But that didn't last long because then he was accusing her of thievery. "I wasn't stealing!" she said, turning defiantly. "I was trying to show you that without your clothes, you're still no good!"

Aiden looked at her for a moment then shook his head again. "Like whether wolves hunt in packs. Just knowing to run away from any wolves does not help if you run into an ambush. Or knowing the limits of their jumping. Deer just fairly high and can do it fast so if they know that wolves can not get to a high place then they could know to go there. Deer are just animals though and prey animals at that so they don't know these things and don't usually survive wolf encounters." There were always exceptions of course like if a wolf was alone and injured.
Aiden rolled his eyes yet again. He almost wondered if she would end up making his eyes roll out of his they way things were going. "And how, pray tell, would I learn about them if by your example they all just want to taunt and belittle my and my species while not sharing information on there own?" She really was an idiot. "Then why ARE you talking to me? Oh yes, so you can try to torture me." He said and put his hands on his hips. "Uh huh. That gives your stealing such a righteous reason. Steal a person's clothes to show them they are worthless after saying their entire species were nothing but evil." He gave her a deadpan look. "So not only are you self-righteous, you are also a bully."
