Seven nodded, "Yeah...no one's up here cause I would of known...been keeping an eye out for the people who lived higher than me...so I guess taking a door wouldn't be too bad." The male had nodded to the door behind Proto, "That---"

Then Proto sneezed...scaring the hell out of Seven, "HOLY----" the male took a large step back. Seven felt his foot land on the floor...a spot nor he or Proto had stepped on earlier. Then...he felt it keep going...

'Oh s**t!!!!!' he thought in panic as he felt the floor give out under him. It gave out large enough for Seven to fall nearly straight through. If not for the male's quick thinking in grabbing at the floor. Wedging his shoulders on either side of the opening. He grunted feeling the air get pushed out from his lungs. 'Oh that hurt....' "....********> he breathed out.

Proto was at the other's side quick. Like...super quick. The moment he started to go through the ceiling the General had dashed forward to help. An odd reaction perhaps, considering the position he held these days. But maybe Hope was still in there. ...A bit.

"You know, Citizen, when I wanted you all to stand for yourselves, I didn't mean so hard you fell through a floor."

Proto just shook his head and reached down to haul Seven back up to the safety of sturdier ground.

Seven glared up at the General, something which his inner voice said was a bad idea. He told the voice to go to hell.

The voice replied with a see you there idiot.

"Yeah...well, maybe I just fell for your charming attitude." Seven retorted with heavy sarcasm as the other male hauled him up. The Audio blinked as he was lifted easily...holy...maybe...saying what he just did was a bad idea. He blinked before tossing that idea out the window, "And the name's Seven...not Citizen. General."
PostPosted: Fri Apr 18, 2014 9:06 pm

"I'm well aware what your name is. Seven. The Citizen."
Proto's expression looked rather blank, but behind those sunglasses he was rolling his eyes. So. Hard. And no...he wasn't touching the charming attitude comment. He had a perfect attitude! Ugh.

Seven rescued from the terrible plight of being stuck in the floor, Proto returned his attention to the task at hand. Right before he had gone down Seven had nodded to a particular door. So...the General moved over to it.

And quite cleanly yanked it free of the wall.

"Here you go."
He put it near Seven...and then let go. Better act quick buddy or you were going to have a heavy door landing on you.

The Audio would of loved to dodge...but sadly...there was still the fear of another hole opening up. He staggered a bit but managed to catch the door. He let out a low frustrated growl.

"What...the ********?!? Dude, I squish! You don't!" He complained at the bot audio. He shifted the door to gently lay it down, if the floor was weak. He wasn't testing his luck for a second round. He looked back up at Proto, "So...how are we getting this thing down one floor?"

Seven glanced at the hole he made, an idea forming in his mind.
PostPosted: Sat Apr 19, 2014 5:23 am

Aw..how sad that citizens squish. That was a terrible plight indeed now wasn't it? Still, Proto cared...very little. He still thought they should stand and work for themselves. And if a simple door proved to be too much of an obstacle to deal with then just how did anyone expect to fix up this City?

He knew they really didn't want to fix things. The citizens, as a whole, would find any excuse not to.

...But Seven was still an interesting case. Willing to work, and willing to thank Proto. The General was still confused by these actions.

"I'm sure you can figure some method out."
That was Proto-speak for figure it out yourself, he's just going to watch.

Seven smirked, "Well I have an idea, but I may need a second pair of hands to do it." He jerked his head towards the hole, "I was thinking of lowering it through the hole I made." He pushed the door back a little to eye it up and down, "Should just about fit." He leaned around it to look at Proto, "Think you can help stabilize it?"

What type of idea was this...simple. INSANE!!!! Seven knew if he dropped the door, oh the large heavy redwood door would be fine. The poor simple floor...maybe not so much.
PostPosted: Sat Apr 19, 2014 5:40 am

....Well. It was an idea. A sound one, really. Proto looked from the hole, to Seven, to the door, and then back to the hole.

Hrm.

"...Easiest way would have one up here to lower the door and one down there to receive the door."
Proto had a somewhat predatory grin, gaze back on Seven. The easiest way to get someone down there was to lower -them- through the hole.

Or push.

Not that he'd ever do that.

Seven was an elder brother and knew that smile, he got it many times with his own sibling and had a sinking suspicion this was one of those moments. He smiled, "You first. Remember, I go squish. If you go down there first, I don't risk injury. Plus...Its not like I'd drop it on you. Dude..i got more respect than that."

And self preservation. But, he'd keep that snark comment to himself.
PostPosted: Sat Apr 19, 2014 6:14 am

Ah injuries. The lot of them were constantly worried about that. He had been told, in the past, that Audio just needed a bit of help standing on their own. They were willing to work...but fragile. Steel could handle anything much better than flesh, and if they worked together they could accomplish anything.

...That was no longer someone Proto listened to.

The General didn't say a word. Instead he moved over to the hole and easily made the drop down to the floor below. And look, he did it in a way as not to damage the floor. Wasn't that nice of him?

He thought so.

Proto held position, gaze focused on the hole and arms ready to to help lower the door down once Seven had moved it over.

Yeah okay..it was nice. Seven knew better though...one slip up and that General was going to start head hunting for blue audio. He maneuvered the door and after a few testing tugs. He got a grip on it before he started to lower it down. He felt Proto take the weight and was really glad the other male was here now.....

Proto easily took the door.

...Then moved off, with the door, to head back to Seven's place and put it near the entryway. Eh, the citizen could get down on his own.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa...where was he---oh crap. Seven leaned thorugh the hole to watch Proto walk towards his home. He straightened as he sat down to think over his current problem. On one hand he could easily go down the clear hall and down...wait...no...

There were no stairs on that side anymore. Seven looked behind him, not wanting to test those waters again. He sighed, his only option.

The freaking hole. He sighed, "Lets get this over with." then lowered half of himself through the hole. Slowly lowering until he was barely hanging on. He let himself drop the rest of the way. Dropping onto his a**, he was shaking slightly as he stood. Okay so he didn't expect the General to try and catch him..but he didn't expect the guy to walk away either. He walked up to the bot and opted to not comment, "So..."

He walked inside, fished around his bag and pulled out a small box of screws he managed to salvage from the house and surrounding areas.

"Let's get em up." He said walking back, pulling out the screwdriver set, "Unless you wanna use your tools?" he asked not glancing at the other male, Seven truthfully had forgotten about the male's tools until he caught them out of the corner of his eye as he walked past.

Proto smirked just a bit as he heard a soft thump behind him. Well well well, the squishy Citizen had decided to make the drop after all! And with the footsteps that soon followed it was clear he had survived his little ordeal. See? No need for Proto to catch him, he could stand on his own.

Good.

"Not my tools, Wily's tools. Use whatever you're more comfortable with."
Honestly he'd have more respect if Seven -did- use his own tools. Wily's tools were clearly superior...but the General had an appreciation for anyone willing to work and not take the easy way out.

Proto let the other male make his decision, moving to put the door in place while he did.

Seven looked down at the tools, then back up at Proto. Sure he'd love to take the easy way out but then...something his Pa used to say sprang to mind.

'If you can do with your own two hands. Leave it to yourself and no one else.' He knew darn well he could put up a door with a hand-held screwdriver, so he did. He walked over to Proto saying, "I'd rather use my own." he didn't explain with the useless tidbit of how it was sentimental.

Wasn't that...uhm...sturdy of him?

The male got the top hinge screwed in, then got to work on the bottom; "The only thing I ask is if you don't mind going back over the screws to make sure they're in. I'm putting them in as tight as I can, but I just wanna be safe."
