Diamond turned around as he heard the door open again, seeing a familiar looking girl walking in. He couldn't help but grin. "Wow! Sapphire, as I live and breathe! I wonder who else we got turned into here. I remember there being more of us..." He looked past Sapphire at the door but he didn't see anyone behind her. Well, at least there, what, 6 or 7 of them there? Did the others get lost? It wasn't like it was hard to find this place if you knew your way around, and Diamond assumed most everyone else knew their way around. As far as he could tell, he was the only one who hadn't played a Pokemon game since Diamond. Just never got around to it.
Turning back to Sapphire, Diamond posed the question. "So, who are you in the real world?"
• • • The person playind as Diamond obviously wasn't NPC. He commented on her character and looked around as if expecting others to be following her. She noted this, and took it to mean that there were still more to come. She was a bit relieved that she hadn't been the latest person to arrive. When Diamond asked her about who she really was, it brought her back with a start.
Aza remembered Eric's admonition to be careful just after he told her it was okay to share her identity. She gazed carefully at the boy, who could have been a man for all she knew. He didn't seem dangerous at the moment, but she had no way of knowing if he or anyone else testing this game was a felon of some sort. After carefully gauging her questioner and sizing him up, she determined what was necissary to reply.
Please refer to me as Sapphire. she said with a nod. She knew they were all accquianted somehow through Pokemon. For hr, she probably would know them through online sources, or the cardgame tournaments. She hd been to a convention or two, but she doubted she had met anyone there that would be here now. Either way, she didn't feel as if it were necissary to share personal information at this point nd hoped her fellow gamers felt the same, Should I refer to you by your character's name?

Diana ran after Chris, trying to make a point of remembering he was technically called Diamond in the game. She looked up at the Pokemon Lab as it came it view and smiled broadly, so ecstatic that it was large and vibrant. Granted, she would have probably been excited if it were a just a hut of a lab.
As she stepped inside behind Chris, she saw the other characters inside, only recognizing a few of them, though she had been started on pokemon with Gold Crystal and Silver, so that wasn't a shock to her. As he started to introduce himself to people, she suddenly got rather shy, deciding to simply stand near him and smile for now, since frown wasn't something she could really accompish at the moment anyway. As he started introducing himself to Sapphire, she was a tad confused why the girl wouldn't give her real name, but it didn't matter. If anything she'd probably be able to figure it out when they returned to their room.
Warmth. Warmth was all Alethea could feel coming from the sun and a gentle breeze hitting her face from time to time. Groaning some the woman opens her eyes and notices that she shouldn't have been able to see this bright of a light, she was just inside a building. But then after a few quick seconds she realizes that it must have actually worked. That she had actually gotten into the game. Sitting up, Alethea blinks her eyes a few times before looking down at her outfit. She instantly realized who she was, just by looking at her outfit. "I'm Platinum?!?!" She said in a shocked voice, she was also grinning at the fact that she had gotten Platinum instead of anyone else. Still grinning, Alethea or should she say Platinum got up from the grown and took off her coat before walking towards where she thought the laboratory would be at. As soon as Platinum arrived at the laboratory, she couldn't help but look straight up at it and smile. "This is it, I get my own Pokémon and I get to meet everyone else who got invited to the event." She whispered to herself before going in. As soon as she walked in the first person she saw was Diamond. "Diamond?" She asked as she walked, then Platinum realized there was Crystal, Sapphire, Ruby, Calem, White and Yellow in the lab so far.

Yellow watched as Ruby pulled Red aside, then decided to tune their conversation out. It wasn't her business, and she didn't mind. Quietly, she viewed the scene in front of her, still amazed how accurate the lab seemed to be from the actual game. Even the details of the NPCs seemed spot on. She wouldn't expect anything less from Nintendo.
The sound of the door caught her attention and she turned to see two more familiar characters come inside the lab: Diamond and Crystal. Curiosity pulled at her as she wondered who they were outside of the game, but decided she would most likely figure those things out later. "Yup! This was actually my favorite game." She answered Diamond's question cheerfully, then let him converse with another newcomer into the lab, Sapphire. Being surrounded by so many people that were, well, taller than her made her a bit self conscious, but she supposed that was only natural. Being Yellow was something she definately had to get used to.
Turning towards Crystal, she gave her a friendly smile. "Crystal, right? I'm Yellow."
Diamond held his up at Sapphire in a defensive gesture , but understood completely. Maybe she was one of those people who was a little antisocial like he was. "And yeah, you can call me Diamond if you'd like." Noticing that Crystal (Diana) was standing a bit closer to him, probably out of shyness (which made him smile and move closer as well), he remembered that he would have to keep an eye and ear out for anyone else who might've come into the game, e.g. the people he had met online prior to the crossing to Japan. Maybe they had fallen behind. At any rate, they should catch up or the Professor would start them off before everyone was gathered. Speaking of which-
The Lab door opened again and before Diamond could turn around there was a female voice calling his name. Well, his character name. Spinning around, Diamond saw who it was, greeting her with a grin. Most other people would get her mixed up with the girl from the games, but Chris new how to tell them apart. "Well, if it isn't Platinum! Fancy seeing you here. I wonder if Pearl is here too; that would be a sight, wouldn't it?" Knowing the relationship between the three D/P/P characters made him anxious to know if the third member of the trio was indeed in the game. Hopefully he was; if not, then maybe they'd just have to substitute.
• • • Aza, who decided quickly to refer to herself as her chracter, felt a twinge of guilt when Diamond raised his hand defensively. She hadn't meant to come off as abbraisive. The boy continued on though, as if he hadn't been offended in the least. That made her feel a bit better and she only replied with a nod to his name. A small girl, obviously Yellow, caught her eye. Usually Sapphire didn't miss anything, being so observant, but somehow the short character with the wide rimmed hat had slipped her notice, as had Crystal standing just behind Diamond. Then came Platinum through the doors, and she had to wonder how many people were left. Assuming that they were going to bring in all the Pokedex holders, there should be quite a few more.
But other people's tardiness shouldn't have had much of an effect on her, so Sapphire looked around as she bacame disinterested with her current company. She was baffled by the smoothness of the anmation, as well as the realism they incorperated into the game. As her gaze roved about, she made eye contact with one of the lab assistants, but he kept on going the moment after as if it hadn't happened. She let out a tired sigh and walked over to the wall nearest the door, where she leaned against it to wait for whatever it was she was here for.
Meanwhile, her bright blue bandana slipped off of her head again from being poorly tied. She grumbled irritably while trying to tie a better knot in the back. The result was sloppy and crooked still, and felt like it would drift to the floor at any moment.

SPEAKINGTHINKING Emir looked towards the entrance as she spotted a pair of Kanto protagonists. She waited for a moment to hear them speak. However, neither did so she simply waved back at Yellow attempting to draw her own conclusions. Her attention wandered back to Ruby as he began explaining something again. “I suppose that would make it more interesting. It’d get old if the dialogues were pretty short.” he responded not really catching the last part of what Ruby had said. She paused, before grinning broadly at the young man in response.“Get used to this.” She stated with another snicker. If he was going to go so far as to play up his character in a ‘fabulous’ manner, Ruby should be expecting more than just one person to make fun of him. She eyed him as he left to scheme something or other with the Red protagonist before smiling at yellow. “I’m getting tired of waiting.” He said to her, before looking over at Sapphire as she entered. However, she was a bit quiet and so he ignored her as well.
God, this waiting was starting to become unbearable once again. What was that about teamwork? Emir snorted at the thought of having to tag along with a huge group of teenagers. Pokémon was a single player game not some MMO. At least more people were beginning to show up. He supposed he needed to give a name before they started just calling him something stupid. Though you couldn’t really do much when your name was literally a color. “You can call me Whiteley.” He chimed in, resting a hand on his new hips. He looked at the entrance yet again only to see a girl in pink saunter in. Yes, this was way faster than the real world. Good job Nintendo. Good job children. “Look we literally just had a powwow like ten hours ago at an airport. I don’t need any more meet and greets.” The player declared loudly before adding mainly to herself. “Let’s get these Pokémon and move out. I need to test out these chicken legs and the terrain around here probably blows.”
She looked at Sapphire for moment before adding, “Sapphire seems to agree with me.” Truthfully all she looked was annoyed and incredibly bored. Not that Emir cared in the slightest. Without much else, she turned and slowly made her way to the main NPC. Professor Juniper In all her 3D glory, the only person keeping him from actually TESTING this game.

Smiling to herself as Trainers gathered in her lab, Professor Juniper said nothing as she watched the interactions. "They'll do just fine. I'm glad the other Professors recommended them," she said softly to herself. After a few more minutes, a couple more stepped in, and it eventually got to the point where one of them, a girl, approached the Professor. "Eager to get started? You must be White. Pleased to meet you, hun." Juniper had a caring grin on her features, and it almost seemed contagious, as Minccino was also smiling as it climbed onto her shoulder. Giving her Pokémon a quick head rub, the woman stood finally, and addressed the group in her lab by clearing her throat.
"Ahem... Greetings everyone. As I'm sure you know, I'm Professor Juniper, head of Pokémon research here in Unova." She looked at each and every Trainer one at a time. "Each of you has traveled quite the distance to get here, and I want to thank you for doing this. I want you young Trainers to go out and gather information on the region. I'd like to do it myself, but with the way things are changing, I'm afraid I cannot leave my lab very often." The last sentence seemed to have a hint of darker meaning, and Juniper's face furled into a small frown, but she continued. "These changes have greatly affected the Unova region, as we're now finding Pokémon from other regions taking residence here. And there's another thing we've noticed from the Pokémon Centers all across the region."
She paused to let things sink in, and taking a deep breath, steeled herself for what she had to inform them. "Trainers and civilians have become concerned for their Pokémon's health more and more with news of an outbreak of the Pokérus virus. Normally this would be amazing news, as the virus is entirely beneficial to a Pokémon's growth... but... things are getting a little discomforting, even with the multitude of small numbers coming in. So far we've seen nothing that requires immediate action, since Pokérus is doing what it typically does." Somehow, Juniper wasn't able to tell them the truth about what was really happening. It seemed that in her mind, if she did say, then they'd turn her down and leave.
"All I want to ask of everyone right now is to take a PokéDex and travel around Unova. Document all the various Pokémon that have come here, and even the ones already here. Now, normally I would send my aides out, but we're all swamped. I've received Pokémon for everyone to take as their partners and teammates, many of them came from across the globe, so they've also had quite the trek. And I also want to ask everyone to stick together, for everyone's sake." Again, her tone dropped to a more serious nature. And after a very brief pause, the Professor resumed. "I know I'm putting you in danger, and your very lives are at risk because of this task, but there's nowhere left for me to turn. Every single Pokémon Professor has to tend to their respective region, and all of my aides are as busy as a Combee. So please, stay safe, and stay alive. Work as a team." With these last words, Juniper had hopeful smile. She wheeled over a cart with PokéDexes and Poké Balls, each with the name of their respective Trainer on a small card, as well as a wide selection of Xtransceivers and Town Maps. "Come and take the Poké Ball that has your name beside it."
She stepped aside to let everyone get their partner. "One final thing, Team Plasma is still around, and the original group has promised to only raise awareness for the feelings of Pokémon, and to try and rally freedom from evil Trainers. For the past few months, Team Plasma has done nothing but that, and everything is alright in that regard. The other group of Team Plasma members... well, we haven't seen or heard anything about their activities, but it's too early to assume they've actually disbanded." Now Juniper was all set to see the group off, though she admitted silently that things probably could have gone much worse. But so far so good, and she did not want to jinx anything.

[ DIAMOND ]
Diamond turned back away from the girls he was surrounded by to focus on the motherly voice of none other than the Pokemon Professor herself. He was amazed by the fact that the Professor of this region - Unova, was it?- was a woman. Not that he was prejudiced, it just came as a surprise. He stepped forward as she did to listen to her speech, while in the back of his mind he was wondering if they should wait for any of the others to show up. Evidently not; Professor Juniper began explaining why they were there and what was going on and what she wanted them to do about it. Take the Pokedexes and document the various Pokemon around the region. Just like the games, but in real life. REAL life, no matter how virtual it might be. Diamond almost couldnèt contain his excitement, but he did his best to keep it under control.
"Well we won't let them delay us," Diamond said bravely. "We'll do all we can to help, with the help of our Pokemon." He stepped forward and found the Poke ball with his name. Professor Rowan must have sent his over from Twinleaf over in Sinnoh. He took a Town Map and an Xtransceiver for himself, not really knowing what it was for. It looked like it was used for communication, almost like a mobile video phone. Interesting.

Diana noted that Chris had moved a tad closer, but that was probably for the better in her opinion, since he helped her calm down even if it was just a little. She watched as things started to unfold, hearing someone say her name, but ignoring on accident as the Juniper started talking. She frowned a bit at the urgency in the npc's tone. 'Wow...what exactly is this game supposed to be based off of?' She asked, not remembering any of the other games having such a dark background to them. Let alone to option of death. She saw Diamond move, and almost followed him, but that would have meant she'd get closer to everyone else, and she decided to hang back for now.
Once she finished talking, Diana took a second, before blinking. "OH!" She said a little loudly, before turning to Yellow. "You just introduced yourself did you? I'm so sorry, I kinda forgot that was my name, heheh." She said, rubbing her head with a nervous laugh. "Yeah, I'm Crystal. This is so weird, having to go by these names and all." She said apologetically, before looking over at the professor. She hoped Chikorita would be left, but she was too shy to want to bound up there and get her pokemon and pokedex first. She figured she'd let some others get theirs first.
After talking to Red, Ruby had actually found out Cole had ended up being chosen as that protagonist. Hearing that, he of course had grinned uncharacteristly for Ruby, who would have just smiled cooly. "That's insane. You know how big of a fan I am for Red. Makes sense though, since you are kinda like him. We're definitely going to have to battle later on. It's reasonable since you're already my sempai out there." he had patted the boy on the back afterwards, and turned to see a couple of new arrivals. The one that had caught his eye however, had been Sapphire.
He wasn't sure whether or not they had met before, as it was pretty impossible to tell without admitting it, but the sight of his "other half" had pretty much given him motivation and new ideas. These side-thoughts were pushed away as well, although it was slower than it had been than the rest. Ruby had wanted to go talk to her, and bicker about how she seemed quiet more than she usually was, but that was when White had walked over to Juniper, and people started to follow after her. He did as well, after another once-over of his clothes, and soon, they had all gathered together around Juniper.
The introduction she had gave was lengthy, and warned the protagonist that the Pokerus was starting to get out of control. It reminded him of the Pokemon Adventures manga, his lips eliciting into a smile Ruby would show after winning one of his and Sapphire's petty bets. Of course, it was a brief one, as he got his emotions in check. Probably the two bits of information that had caught his attention the most, was the mention of Team Plasma, and where their starters where. The former was because he was quite confident the evil faction was around, and the latter simply because it meant they could properly explore.
When it was over, Ruby had nodded at Prof.Juniper, and expressed his appreciation. "It's an honor to meet you Prof.Juniper. I'm sure we'll all do our best." he smiled one of Ruby's contest smiles, before walking over to the cart where their starters and pokedexes awaited. Pocketing a pokedex, he had grabbed his starter last, wanting to look inside. The clear red and white ball had showed a sleeping Mudkip was inside, which was endearing. As he got out of the way, he pondered whether or not to release the Pokemon like the others probably would do, but felt a tugging at the back of his mind.
It was strange, since Zuzu was always well-behaved in the manga, but he shrugged it off, and placed the ball on his belt. He would trust his instincts for now. When he had heard Crystal wonder out loud as they walked away from the npc's, what the game was probably based off of, he gave her a likely answer. "Well, since there's obviously a danger level, I'd say it's a loose plot of the Adventures manga. Makes sense, since all of the characters here each have an arc." He had turned away from her afterwards, as she was talking to Yellow, and gazed around for Sapphire.
When he had spotted her, he walked over, eager to play the role of their relationship. Regardless of whether or not her Pokemon was out, he called for her attention, "Saph, you've been pretty quiet than "you" usually are. What happened to wild girl?" he had made some air quotes, though every word he had spoken had Ruby's concern. And he really was. This experience was an amazing thing to be apart of. Anyone of them being down just made things seem like a bummer. "Don't tell your worried about the Pokerus? We've been through way worse together controlling the orbs." He was hoping she would tell him she wasn't worried, and that it would have turned into a bet between them, but they were just really playing the roles, and haven't actually been through their character's history.
Red nodded and smiled a little at Ruby. "..Sure...we could battle...uhm..maybe a little after we get our pokemon though? That way we can get to know them before we instantly throw them at eachother..." He said with a slight chuckle before he quickly shut up as he heard the Prof. speaking. Red waited for her to finish talking before he saw the table with everyones stuff on it. He felt his Red side take over a bit more as his body rushed to the table and quickly found his equipment, snatching it up before he looked over the pokeball curiously. "...Wait a minute...wheres Yellow?" Red asked himself before he saw the girl with yellow hair not too far away. He returned to her side, giving one last nod and a wave to Ruby before he gave Yellow a smile as he returned to her side. The last thing Red needed was to lose the one person he had actually learned a bit about.
• • • Sapphire listened to Proffessor Juniper closly, taking in every detail of her perfectly imaged features. The woman's hinting towards more sinister reason behind not being able to leave her lab left her curious, and after listening further, she assumed it had something to do with this Pokerus virus. Which was strange. She understood tha it may make the wild pokemon a bit harder to handle, but it should be rare enough to be taken care of relatively quickly. Another thing was that she said their very lives were in danger. In the games, she had never had a Professor or otherwise tell her that. This reality game seemed to be a bit darker than most Pokemon games. Which, in Sapphire's opinion, was a good thing. The deeper the plot, the better the game.
After going on about their mission, the woman showed them their Dexes and Pokeballs that held their pokemon. Sapphire stood up straight, away from the wall to retireve her items. They included a map, Xtranciever, PokeDex, and ball. Inside of the Sapphire's designated ball was a torchic, looking up at her through the translucent red side of the Pokeball. Juniper drew her attention away from the Pokemon, telling them about the current condition of team plasma. Another mysterious aspect of the game. Fantastic. She also found it a bit amusing how Diamond responded so enthusiastically, and how apprehensive Crystal was about getting her items before loudly exclaiming something to Yellow.
Sapphire left tem to their own devices to turn and head back for the door, wanting to go outside and see what her Pokemon would be like in this game, when she was stopped by Ruby. The boy was going on about her being quiet, which she hadn't noticed. She actually thought she had spoken a lot since entering the game. But the way her refered to her made Sapphire realize he was getting into his character's role. Did he want her to play along? She blinked at him a couple times when he asked her a couple of questions, figuring out a proper response in her head before speaking. Slowly, she tried to adjust her crooked bandana and began, I'm the same as always Which was true in both aspects of his question. Most city goers and townspeople did view her as a little earthy at times, so she supposed that could be considered wild, and Pokerus shouldn't be too troublesome, she answered, honestly trying to play along the best she could, Why, are you concerned about it?

Yellow listened intently as Professor Juniper finally began her speech. Anticipation of finally getting her pokemon and 'dex nagged at her, but she did her best to be calm while she listened. The news about Pokérus didn't bother her quite as much at first, though as the professor went on she was a bit puzzled. She knew about the virus pokémon contracted once in a while, she'd had it happen a few times before when playing some of her games. But she'd always assumed it was a good and helpful thing, not a need for concern. However, the game was a virtual reality. Why wouldn't someone be concerned about a strange virus which strangely helped growth?
The news about Team Plasma wasn't something too out of the ordinary for her to hear. There had to be an antagonist group in every pokémon game, right?
As Professor Juniper went on to finish her speech, Yellow's excitement was mixed with more confusion. Excitement, of course, for the presentation of the pokéballs and pokédexes. But confusion from both the Professor's very serious tone and her wording. She assumed the group would stick together to travel. After all, the games usually seemed to have set destinations throughout the game, all ending with the Elite Four. But stay alive? The words echoed in her head. Was there a life risk in this game? It seemed strange.
Once the Professor had finished speaking and left everyone to resume as they were and get their things, Yellow's attention was brought back to the girl she had spoken with earlier. "Oh no, it's totally fine! It is a bit strange to suddenly have to get used to a new name, even if it's only for a game." She replied reassuringly, giving Crystal a kind smile.
Seeing Crystal turn her attention back in the direction of the Professor, Yellow started to move towards the cart, her eyes pinpointing the card with her name on it. She paused seeing movement by her side and turned her head to see Red rejoining her. "I see you have your pokémon now. Exciting isn't it?" She commented cheerliy as she noticed the familiar red and white ball in his hand.
For a moment she glanced over at the cart. It was close enough for her to reach her things without moving much, and she thought it may be rude to leave Red. Without giving it a second thought, she reached over and grabbed the items just for her, but only left the pokéball out. She knew eventually she would release the Pikachu she knew would be inside, so she wanted it on hand.
