And so, Milo continued to swim to where he remembered the caves to be. Would he find mermaids, weird a** creatures or maybe something of interest?
Oh hey, look! Mermaids! What they were supposed to be finding, what they were after, this whole mission of sorts. Right there, hissing at him. Yay! Part of him was excited, the other not so much knowing what these guys could do. And it was pretty lonely with them. - Oh hey, someone else. New found friend (Alaska) got a thumbs up; it also looked like a 'yay, we're gonna die!' thumbs up.

And then he found them. And he was really excited for the fraction of a second it took him to realize he was now fighting one of them, knife summoned reflexively--when did that become a reflex?--and abruptly aware that fighting underwater was probably really hard. Learning experiences!
