Olivia wasn't too sure of what Amarus had meant with her question, but remembering what happened at the islands kind of sparked her own inquiries. She smiled it off even though she had deep concern with how fatigued the lotus eater looked. The spin seemed wobbled and not per the ghost's usual strength. "Are you okay?" she asked again.

Maybe the creatures had done a number on her already. Well, that was just mean! And no one seemed to know why, guessing from Shun's response to - oh! "Molan!" Another surprise! And he looked more unkept than usual and lacked many bells. "Are you alright?" She asked him as well.

She looked from the creatures and then back to their group, caught up in a brief moment as Poke transformed into an amazing looking dragon. Her bright blue eyes got wide and she made a sound of extreme awe. So cool.

Everyone seemed to be doing something, creating more surprises at each turn - like Molan with his ice, seeming to heal. Though it was a small amount, it was still impressive to the little ghoul. And made her ball her fists with a determined look on her face. There was a sort of power she could feel in her core, like it was telling her what to do. Protect her friends, east enough. "I'm tougher than a desk," she announced and placed herself in front of Amarus and Molan.

"Oh. Mot! My friend, it is good to run in to you once more." Needle's voice was soft; if she had been joking, she didn't let on. "I am fine, and yourself? I did not injure you, did I?" She hadn't felt the pressure of her needles piercing something, but who knew; today was an odd day already.

"What is happening? What...what are these things?" Her soft voice edged with annoyance, but only mildly, as she lashed out one of her tattooed feet at a nearby shadowling.

With a quick glance behind, Shun noticed Mot and.. Needle there. It took him a moment to discern which of the twin sisters had arrived.

"Glad you could join us," he said a little flatly. Not that he was unhappy to see them. It was really mostly the situation at hand. Getting woken up for this sort of thing wasn't the best. There was also a trick or treater here apparently. That could be useful, though he hadn't seen this particular one around before.

As far as the question of what they were dealing with, he didn't answer it again. No one really knew. Instead, he turned his attention back to the shadelings and continued to attack.

Molan watched as a few new people showed up and nodded slightly at the comment, though it seemed that the reaper wasn't exactly meaning what was going on now. Or the bit about the ice. Once again he found himself asking just how this school worked. Cocking his head to one side didn't really do much to help, but that was his only response as the reaper went back to going after the shadow beasts. Who were, afterall, all to happy to tear him apart for attacking them.

Rather unpleasant really. "These ones... are a good bit more aggressive than the one in my room." He replied lightly, intending to deal with the reaper when he was back a bit. He didn't want to accidentally somehow heal the little beasts while I was taking care of someone else.

And then there was Olivia, always something of an oddity. And... protecting him. Sort of. "One of them tried to eat Storm..." He replied frowning, rubbing at his arm idly before looking to the masses again. "I... stopped it. I am for the most part fine, yourself?" Aside from the fact that she was tiny and far from intimidating, the way she put it. He couldn't help but smiling lightly, holding back the laugh that threatened to escape. Despite the current dire situation, Olivia as a protective barrier just seemed humorous. "Of course, Olivia." He did reach out to pat her on the head though, even if it was a bit ridiculous to think the young thing could protect him.

And then he realized that reaper had charged at the things, AGAIN. Oh jack... he was going to get himself killed at this rate. Overly eager fool or something. "Be more careful, they really will eat you!" With that he decided he'd try this nonsensical bit of summoning up healing ice. Which did lead to what might be a bit of a cold shock for the reaper briefly. But... the good kind.

If he could figure this out. And hey, maybe he was getting better at this. He manage to patch up a few scratches on the boil just as one of the things charged at him angrily for doing so. And perhaps there was irony in the fact that, well Olivia was a good shield. She did manage to keep the thing back and took the hit for him.

He'd... properly thank her later when she wasn't dealing with angry creatures.

This female didn't seem to best him at anything. In fact, she missed the first time. Barely, but a miss was a miss.

The second time was a miss, and with a sigh she put her foot down, clearly not getting anywhere fast.

When she looked back in Mot's general direction, it was apparent she was a little too calm. Almost like she didn't see the extent of the damage done, or the sheer amount of little creatures that insisted on eating everything...which was pretty much the truth. The new voice made her tilt her head, squinting through her mask at the vague outline of another familiar reaper.

"Ah, and Shun! I assume your unfortunate growth has cleared?" The Engraver was smiling wide...well, for an Engraver. At most it was a slight curl at the corners of her lips. "Perhaps you may enlighten---ah! Muka?" She trailed off as the displaced air from his landing caught her attention, looking over her shoulder in her boilfriend's direction; the (to her) glowing tattoos on his hands confirmed his identity, and her smile widened just a little more.

"My dear, I am glad to hear you safe and sound! You know, for a moment, I thought perhaps the creature in my room was you." Her hands came up to mime glasses around her eyes with her fingers, trying to indicate large eyes. "You have similar eyes, it was a shock to wake up to."

Say what you will about her, but she was nothing if not honest.

A strained smile was offered towards Shun at his thanks. "No problem at all." He didn't look quite so ragged now, which was good. "I've got your back, your's and everyone else's." She was working at becoming a healer, and a healer she would be.

The lotus eater also earned herself a smile. "I know what you mean." She didn't think she'd ever met the ghoul before, but she was happy to see her, and everyone else, none the less. There were a lot of new faces, now that she thought about it, but that didn't matter, not now.

One of the black bodied beasties was edging towards her, and she took a step back from it before shrieking in surprise as a dragon came plowing past her, bashing the creature away with it's head. For a second or too she was stunned, and then, "Thank you!" She'd have to remember to get that student's name later.

More and more students were arriving, and some belonged to people she knew and called friend. "Mot, Muka!" She recognized the ghost among them as well, but couldn't recall the name that went with the face... She did know the demon that was now joining them though. "And Sin. I'm happy to see you guys." Relief was clear in her voice.

Taking a step back to catch his breath, Shun narrowed his eye at the ice demon, though he did feel a small sense of relief from the ice that was tossed at him. Oddly enough.

"If no one fights, we'll be overrun," he said sharply. He didn't see too many others here taking up arms, after all, "I'm not going to idly sit by. Danger or not."

Scoffing after saying that, he flicked his gaze towards Needle, then furrowed his brow in confusion.

"...My what? I don't know what you're talking about," he frowned.

Rosc knew what was going on when Sin's grip loosened and then tightened. She was starting away from him, his beloved fighter bent on saving her friends, no matter how much she doubted it. But the way it tightened, he too remembered the time he'd almost lost her. Not because of losing himself on that island, but because of her worry over her own feelings towards his loss and her guilt. He gave her a small smile and quickly brought her hand to his lips, kissing her knuckles.

"Go on. I've got your back," he said softly, the glow behind his glasses flickering slightly.

His attention was drawn to the ones fighting. Frankly, he wasn't very good at that, especially not against these things. But there was something he was becoming better at doing. He reached out a hand and did his best to send his own healing at the blade-wielding reaper.
Even if it didn't quite work, at least he was trying to help...
