I am: Bisexual. On the surface: A fleet-footed, mischievous girl who lives life on the edge with a blatant disregard for the rules under a sweet demeanor. At a glance, Dana appears careless - almost too much so, but every seemingly reckless move has been assessed. She's always ready to face a new day with the occasional cancer stick in her hand, a pocketful of last night's tips, and a scathing remark or two. But deep down: Tired of living a stationary, sheltered life, Daneira left her parents to board at a school at 13, taking more than a few scrapes and injures by her stints in the streets and the darker side of town, finally becoming a member of Team Chaos at 15. She's never been particularly fond of the "team" mentality but concedes that the group is good to fall back on. She sometimes sees her parents around town, but treats them as she would any stranger.

This is a contest with a focus on writing. The wide-scope topic is spring, and you can write whatever you'd like about it. If you're stuck for ideas, check out the prompts. Please keep in mind that relevance comprises part of your "score" out of 100. Votes will also play a part in your score, in that the piece with the highest votes relative to the others will earn the most points out of 10. The creativity and originality of your piece will each be scored out of 15, then totaled with language and impact, each out of twenty. Groundhog Groundhog Day is a day celebrated on February 2. Festival Spring is traditionally associated with many festivals around the world. Based on these holiday traditions and sentiments, tell a story that relays the significance of spring as a season and a time of year. You may need to do some research for this.
