David was indeed surprised when sand started flying onto Jishaku. At first he wondered if the ANBU had gotten bored and started an attack, but soon the jutsu became recognizable. A sand claw. Was he trying to enhance his grip? Or just block the damage? Admittedly, the claw would easily withstand the potential damage from his staff. Keeping hold of it however, was impossible.
David's stance remained steady as Jishaku, despite pulling on the staff, still slid right off due to the instability David had created on it's surface. He could have turned his hand into a vacuum powered octopus limb and still slid off. That alone would throw off the man's balance, lending to David's followup, but it was not to be as the man suddenly lunged forward, rolling under Yamatano and onto... David's territory. Better known as the sandy ground of Sunagakure. Wondering just what made him run, David glanced down. Kensei... And fire. Looking forward again, David started walking. His arm shot out towards Yamatano, either to push him away or pull him close, depending on how he reacted himself. Either way, a moment later as the flame blasted upwards, so too did sand, wrapping around the young kage and holding off the flames. Tiny droplets of molten glass falling from the barrier the only indication that the fire actually did a thing. Convenient bijuu indeed.
"Well well. That is a surprise." David spoke, still walking through the fire. Soon enough he was out of it, barrier dispersed, standing on the edge of the building where Jishaku had started, looking down at the man, and the sand constructs around him. Sand sharks. One of the more elegant tricks sand users employed. Useless against David of course, but a fair try, and as he'd heard, a fun trick to use at times. "You really are unpredictable. A fool, obviously, but an unpredictable one." David shrugged as he spoke, a sly, cruel grin sliding onto his features once again, and he jumped down to the ground. A show more obvious than any other. With sand users, you stayed away from the sand, because their attacks could come from anywhere. Walking into the lion's mouth, was a show that he didn't care in the least about this new trick the man had been hiding. It didn't make him stronger, it didn't make him more dangerous. In fact, it made him less dangerous.
"Did you forget who you're fighting? The one thing you got right, and you seem to have forgotten it." The boy tapped the skin under his eyes, bringing attention to the deep rings, the signs of a person who never slept. They were lighter than they once were, since his coma, but still darker than anyone else could manage, since it had been months now since he woke. The evidence of a host of the Ichibi. The most powerful sand user in existence. And this man wanted to fight him with sand? "Send them. Let's see how that works out for you."

 | Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Chuunin ||| Shinobi Profession: Teaching Master || RPC Profile || Rushing towards the field of battle, once Shinji got in range to start seeing what was going on, he could note several figures in battle. Shock stopped him in his tracks as he could see that it was Jishaku, his supposed ally and fellow Iwagakure comrade in battle with David and several others, a large summoned snake amidst the fight as well. Shinji's mind rapidly fled through his memory banks, the imagery of the snake summon instant bringing him back to the Chuunin exams, where a member of the Kirigakure used such summons in battle. His eyes scanning the field, he recognized the figure instantly, his scarf and white hair a dead giveaway. "What the heck are Kiri warriors doing here in Suna?... and what has become of Jishaku, who is he really?... what is his plan?"
Whether by trauma, or simply a tingle in the back of his brain, Shinji recoiled in an instant of pain as memories of his village's destruction flashed through his mind as the situation around him became apparent. Whoever Jishaku was, even if he was a former Iwagakure shinobi... he was now no ally of Shinji's. Seeing David whether an eruption of fire like it was nothing, he trusted that the fight was well in his control and resolved to stand by should his support in combat be needed. Jumping into the fight resklessly might put others at risk given the parties at hand, and beyond that, Shinji had not yet observed if the Kiri nin were fighting with or against David.
Resigned to wait to see how the fight panned out, Shinji's attention was suddenly caught by a sudden scream and a crack off to his left. Spinning his head immediately in that direction, he caught sight of a young woman running away from a crumbling structure, dragging a child frantically by the arm away from the direction the building was falling. Leaving no time wasted, Shinji rushed towards the woman, just as the child tripped and fell, leaving the woman to frantically attempt to pick him up and carry him to safety. Assessing the situation, and noting that they would never make it in time, Shinji's hands were already flashing through the appropriate hand seals as he arrived on the edge of where the debris would fall with seconds to spare, before slamming his hands to the ground, directly facing the woman who was now huddling over the child in the hope of protecting him...
"Doton: Tsuchi Tou Tou" Instantly the earth shifted from it's solid state, turning into a conveyor belt of sorts, moving the earth forward rapidly, taking the woman and child with it as they were sped forward out of harms way just before the debris crashed to the ground. The technique completed, Shinji charged through the dust cloud created by the falling structure, leaping to the other side to find that his plan had worked. The woman and the child were safely on the other side of the debris, the woman still clutching the child, shaking in fear as she huddled over the child. Quickly, Shinji got her attention, placing his hand on her shoulder as the woman cowered for a second, only to look up and see a smiling face looking back at her. "You're alright. Best get out of here though, more buildings are bound to collapse." Nodding in agreement, the woman scooped up the child and ran to safety, leaving Shinji to look around for more citizens that might need assistance.[Chakra Reserves: 50 / ∞] [Stamina : 69/85]

With a fireball headed right toward him, and in his awkward angling, Yamatano had not time to dodge. The air of Sunagakure was too dry to pull up a Water Shield instantaneously, so all Yamatano could do was brace for impact.
.....Or, would have, had it not been for the saving grace of david, pulling him behind his sand shield with a grip that he didn't expect from a boy so young. The fireball was smothered by the sand to nothing more than a glorified head wave, small clinks being heard as bits of newly formed glass hit the semi-solid rooftop.
"Sunaton..." Yamatano thought as he looked at Jishaku, and back to david. This truly was a fight where he was out of his league, having no experience fighting against users of the feared Sunagakure sand style. Sure, his Suiton was effective against users of the sand style, but in the arid climate of Suna, what good would that do him?
While David dealt and Jishaku further taunted each other, Yamatano spotted a citizen being saved by a shinobi. While that was happening everywhere, this one was different. The shinobi wasn't wearing the uniform of Sunagakure, his hair was pure white like Yamatano's own, and most noticeably ofall, had a large, unique sword strapped to his back. "No, it couldn't..." Yamatano thought, even as he clicked his tongue. The serpent shot towards Yamatano, barely slowing down as the young man jumped onto it's head, and continued away from the battlefield with a point of Yamatano's finger. The boy lay crouched on the snakes head, nearing the mysterious man, coming closer until there was no doubt. "Shinji!" Yamatano cried as the snake dashing toward Shinji, The chuunin's arm extended to the side so as to grab the other one's arm. Whether or not Shinji could react in time, the snake would make a sharp turn back toward Jishaku, where hopefully, David could hold his own for the time being.

《Blue Bird》 《Run Around》 A sigh of relief found itself released from Sora's mouth as the girl saw her team leader reenter the fray seeming perfectly fine. However, as relieved as she felt, Sora couldn't help but worry, . Indeed, Sora had already exhausted, in her mind, all the possible support positions she could play. The most plausible had a very slim chance of working. However, the girl began to go through them all along, hoping that maybe she had missed something.
It was while reviewing these thoughts that Sora spotted blinding white hair (just about any white hair in this sunlight was blinding, including Yamatano's if it wasn't so dusty at the moment) rushing about. Latching onto this new sight with her eyes, Sora saw this white-haired boy save a civilian and then saw Yamatano and his giant snake head straight to him as if he was a well-known friend while shouting,
Regardless of the distance, Sora could tell that something was happening over there with those two, and that something could lead to Sora being able to find a use for herself without leaving the area. Yeah, the chances were slim and unlikely. However, compared to the only other thing she could do (watch the battle nervously), it was more productive. At a moderate pace, the girl ran towards the two white-haired shinobi, tripped, got a mouthful of sand, spit out the mouthful of sand, picked herself up, and then resumed running.

Kensei sighed in frustration after seeing Jishaku use sand to escape an attack from the three shinobi. He was going to jump out of the building And continue to assist with the fight. Well he was until he saw when Jishaku and David land. "Great more sand." Kensei felt useless now and would only get in the way or killed if he tried to help. Instead he took this chance to finally follow orders given from the raikage. He rubbed some of the blood from a cut on his arm that he recieved from landing roughly on the sand. Once he began spreading the blood on his left hand he started to do a series of hand seals before slamming his left hand on his right arm. This caused a puff of smoke to appear which went away after a couple of seconds. On his arm appeared a parrot with tape wrapped around its beak for a reason only Kensei knew why. The parrot looked angry as it tried to yell at his summoner only to have everything muffled. Kensei flicked the parrot on the forehead to shut it up and cleared his throat. "Shut up and listen. I need you to fly to the raikage and tell her we found Jishaku and we're currently fighting him. Oh and the guy in charge of the village won't let us leave until Jishaku is defeated." kesei finished speaking before he finally remembered something. O "Oh yeah and Jishaku is using sand Hutus so your suspicions were correct ma'am." Kensei once again flicked the parrot on the forehead to make it fly off towards Kumogakure.
"Alright that's out of the way." Kensei climbed out of the hole in the building and saw Yamatano and Sora heading in the same direction. He already knew there was no point in sticking around for David's fight unless to copy jutsu or make sure the traitor was dead. Instead he deactivated his sharingan and got ready to follow behind Sora and help out around the village. "Yo David! You better win!" Kensei shouted before running off. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ╚════════════════════════════════╝ Chakra Points: Chuunin: 26/52 Sharingan Lvl 3: Speed Shinobi: Combo User: Warrior's Rush: Elemental Fist:

Jishaku Furimawasu |The Gold Lightning of Kumo|Ninjutsu Specialist|Elemental Control Sunaton(Sand)/Jiton(Magnetism)|Kumogakure|Raiton|Jounin|
Jishaku continued watching contently as he watched the Shukaku protect his host as expected. It was fascinating for him to see in person, watching and being able to visually study a beast whom he'd spent much of his life researching along with its hosts. He didn't doubt for a second David would emerge unscathed, although he was surprised to see him save the Kiri-nin. It wasn't necessarily important to him either way however, as he watched David approach. As the boy spoke his wide grin emerged even more so, stifling a chuckle at what the boy said. "It seems Shukkaku was unfortunate enough to end up with this cocky brat as a host. Rather unfortunate really but oh well, I'll just have to get him to come out sooner."
In the background, Jishaku listened to the sound of a building collapsing and the shriek of a woman. Lazily glancing over, he noticed the Iwa-nin he saw the other day at the gate, certainly an interesting turn of events in his opinion. Staring back at David once he finished speaking he couldn't help but allow one short burst of laughter out as he said, "I'm sorry, did you think they were for you? You're sorely mistaken kid but sure, as you wish." The words spoken through that kitsune frame were menacing to most, however Jishaku could tell the boy really didn't care. He assumed his defense was all encompassing and all seeing. What he didn't assume however, was that Jishaku's abilities with Sunaton were unusually high. As the sharks created from such a jutsu moved faster than the creator, Jishaku's sharks were capable of surpassing even his own jounin level of speed. Not only that, but their bite force was incredibly increased, the precision with which they were created was impeccable. So almost in jest, he spoke through that grin of his and cut eyes. "Well kid, here we go."
Instantly, two of the sharks shot forward with immense speed, Jishaku even allowing their fins to protrude from the sand. As Jishaku had researched Shukkaku's protective sand just like the beast himself, was limited in how fast it could move. There had been a handful of taijutsu specialists in the past to surpass it with sheer speed, as well as special jounin capable of surpassing the barrier's speed with jutsu intended to maim quickly. In earnest, the man was interested to see how the spectacle played out, constantly wishing to test and research the in and outs of the one-tailed beast. As the sharks approached, one attacked his left leg while the other leaped out and attacked his right hand's wrist. The other two circled the man however, his plans separate for the two of them.

As Jishaku began to talk, David was distracted by a shout from behind him, and turned his head to see Kensei running off. Sora and Yamatano were also headed in that direction, Yamatano riding his snake. Beyond all three... Shinji? So the boy had arrived for the fight after all. But why were the others regrouping on him? Was it the Iwa headband, since Jishaku had shown up wearing one himself, and they thought the two were together? Maybe the Kumo nin would make that mistake, but Yamatano? He knew Shinji as well as David did. Probably better since they had been teamed up in the exams, and it had been Laxus' warning to Yamatano that first revealed Jishaku to David himself, so no, Yamatano wouldn't have fallen for it. Perhaps then the white haired boy was seeking an ally?
And then, even as he was going through those thoughts, something flitted across his vision. A bright colored bird. A parrot. Parrots did not naturally come to the desert, so how? ... Of course. Someone in the area was a bird summoner. It wasn't one of his people, so it had to be either Jishaku or Kensei. The genin were out simply because genin didn't have the chakra power to summon, except perhaps demon hosts, and Yamatano was already a snake summoner. Shinji could have done it, but there was no mention on his profile, and he didn't feel the other boy was likely to hide such a thing.
In any case, the bird was flying away from the fight, not towards it. And that meant it was a messenger of some sort. Holding out his left hand, David made a fist, and pointed his thumb upward, then twisted his arm, aiming it down. Instantly, an ANBU flashed across the sky to grasp the bird in his hands and bring it back down. They wouldn't kill it, but they would stop it from escaping the village. It wouldn't do to let Jishaku call for reinforcements.
Unfortunately, as David turned back to Jishaku, he realized that he had spent far too long looking elsewhere, as the sharks were already in motion. It would be close then. He wouldn't have much time to retaliate. Assuming of course that he had intended to in the first place. No, what he wanted now was a show of power. The man was greatly underestimating him, and what he contained. "Suna Shikaku." David breathed out, and felt his perception shift in an instant. He could clearly see the sharks approaching, even when they were fully under the sands. He could feel the sand that was displaced when they moved. It wasn't hard to determine really, but some might not realize just by looking, that a jutsu like that didn't move through the sand by it's own power. No, the jutsu had a shell of chakra around it, almost identical to the Sunagakure technique, which displaced the sand and pushed the sharks forward. And if you blocked that displacement? Well, then the shark was frozen in place.
Swinging the same hand as he'd already held up for the signal to the ANBU in front of him, David jerked it downward, thumb still held out in the same gesture as if it was intended for Jishaku all along. Simultaneously he let out a wave of the Ichibi's power over sand, not moving it to take control of the sand and move it about as he normally did, but spreading it widely, freezing it in place, and creating an environment several yards wide around him in which the sand sharks would be unable to move. He couldn't wrest control of them from Jishaku, as he'd have loved to do, since the man's chakra was laced through them, but he could block them, by lacing his own chakra through the very sands they attempted to pass. Two chakras could not inhabit one body, and thus, the displacing chakra could not enter the sand David controlled and push it aside. Thus, Jishaku's sharks were frozen under the earth.
And with that done, David simply smiled. Even using words to enhance this moment wouldn't make it any better, so he wouldn't bother. Jishaku should have known better than to believe any such attack would reach the boy. At least, if he knew it was coming.
~ [Chakra: 79/90] [Sand: 24] [Mission Points: 58] [D-0][C-3][B-1][A-0][S-1] Quote: Suna Shikaku [Sand Sight] Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu | Supplementary Element: Sand Units: 0 Description: Sand Sight is a technique that allows the user to “See” through sand. This is accomplished in two different ways. One way, is that of a sense of sorts. The user is able to feel people moving across or through the sand within their range, and even pinpoint their general location. The second way, is that of literal vision. The user is capable of peering into the sand itself, and seeing things below the surface. This can be used for anything from spotting people below, to finding caves hidden by the sand. The way this works, is that the user makes a single hand seal, sending a pulse of chakra outward from them. The chakra travels through the sand, bouncing off of other objects and returning, much like sonar. Once the signal returns, it forms together into a comprehensible image the user understands as sight. The technique also works well for seeing through sand in the air, such as sandstorms, making it invaluable for crossing the desert safely. While the technique can be used to see through sand techniques, it only works against the user’s own techniques, with the exception of those that make sandstorms. In any other case, the opposing chakra in the sand will repel the chakra pulse, making it impossible to see through. As the user’s rank grows, so too does their ability with this technique. D - 15 feet C - 25 feet B – 30 feet A - 35 feet S - 50 feet Ichibi Host - 100 feet. The Ichibi host has greater power over this technique, due to the simple fact that he is more in tune with the sand itself than anyone else could ever be. This is a passive technique. Meaning it can remain active as long as the user is able to supply it chakra, regardless of what else the user does. Activation costs D rank chakra, and every post after that costs one point, including the final post. Chakra control bonuses increase the range visible by one rank, excluding Ichibi. If your rank is maxed out and you have more bonuses, you can restart the cycle by adding D rank distance.

His instinct kicking in, Shinji's hand went directly to the hilt of his sword, ready to draw it from the clamp holster on his back and channel his chakra into it as he stood firmly in place, sizing up the situation. He knew that this was Yamatano's summon... it had to be, but what he didn't know was if Yamatano was his enemy or not. The man had never shown himself to be so in the past... but time changes all things in the ninja world, and he was not sure of the Kirigakure's alliances at the time.
As he stood ready to respond to the threat however, as the snake drew closer, Yamatano called out Shinji's name, he saw the man reach his arm out. Suddenly, it was clear to him that Yamatano had not come as an enemy to fight him, but rather as an ally to enlist his assistance. Only to happy to oblige, Shinji removed his arm from the hilt of his blade and jumped into the air a bit to grab the Yamatano's arm, their two arms clasping at the other's wrist as Shinji felt a strong pull, which with the strength from his own jump, propelled him upward so that he could make an easy landing on the snake's head. Attaching himself to the snake instantly with the wall/tree walking ability, Shinji stabilized himself and then nodded to Yamatano with a wide grin... "It has been a while Yamatano. Once again we meet under unusual conditions. What brings you from Kirigakure to a fight in the desert?"
Playful as always, Shinji's speech was rather casual for a warrior in the middle of a battlefield, but that afterall was Shinji's way. He took such great pleasure in battle and in the flow of adrenaline, it is where he felt the most at ease and the happiest. As the snake whipped around carrying them both back to the current battle between David and Jishaku, Shinji wondered what they could do to assist. He wondered if they should even get in the way of the fight, or if such a thing would cause David more trouble. Regardless however, he would still have to wait and see what Yamatano would do and then appropriately react to the situation. "I could ask the same of you. This man destroyed the Kage's tower with Lightning, and has some grudge against David. They're duelig right now, but if wecan break his concentration, we-" Yamatano was cut off by the sight of a young girl, the girl from Kumogakure, running towards them. Had Yamatano been a moment slower, he might have missed her, but just in time, Yamatano bent down, grabbed the girl's wrist, and flung her onto the snake's back, between himself and Shinji. "Chakra wall climb, now!" Yamatano barked the moment Sora hit the Kyodaija's skin. He hoped the girl could keep her grip, or failing that, that Shinji would prevent her from falling.
Almost upon the battlefield, Yamatano didn't have time to make a good dismount attack. Instead, Yamatano urged the snake forward, charging toward Jishaku, Mouth closed in favor of ramming the man, and avoiding rocks in the throat again. Yamatano remained on the snake's head, Hidden Blade sproting once again from his right wrist, prepared to leap off the Kyodaija's head in case Jishaku somehow avoided his serpent again. He gave no further instruction to Shinji or Sora, but he hoped the two would react as they saw best fit, whether that meant staying on the Kyodaija, attacking, or providing support to David.

《Blue Bird》 《Run Around》 Sora wasn't really expecting the pick-me-up, but she listened obediently, channeling chakra into her free hand in order to maintain her grip as she pulled herself onto the snake. Admittedly, it wasn't nearly as graceful as Shinji's leap, but it did the job. She had a brief moment, after pulling herself up, to wave at Kensei running in the opposite direction. She wasn't too sure what she was doing heading straight into a battle she wasn't certain she'd be of much help in, but as things had already been done, the ever-optimistic girl figured she should take advantage of the opportunity and try to help at a closer distance... or at least not be a hindrance.
As Yamatano readied himself to jump into the air to try another aerial attack on Jishaku, Sora remained where she was and formed a quick, simple set of seals. She did not, however, utter the command to release the chakra molded by these seals. Rather, she held them in preparation for when Yamatano--or perhaps even Shinji--executed his attack.
Sora's plan was to turn her body into one giant, high-powered flashlight shining directly into Jishaku's eyes. With both white-haired shinobis in front of her and likely focused on Jishaku, she didn't need to worry about accidentally blinding them in the process. Her position behind the two larger shinobis would also help in keeping Jishaku from seeing what she was doing. At most, Sora hoped that the light would temporarily stun the enemy shinobi should he look in this direction. At the very least, Sora figured that it'd keep Jishaku from seeing Yamatano's attack in detail, what with the bright light right behind the Mist shinobi causing his figure to appear as a black silhouette.

Jishaku Furimawasu |The Gold Lightning of Kumo|Ninjutsu Specialist|Elemental Control Sunaton(Sand)/Jiton(Magnetism)|Kumogakure|Raiton|Jounin|
To most people, what David had done would be unnoticeable. For Jishaku however, it was very much crystal clear what had occurred, and David's smile showed how proud he was for doing it. Jishaku was only able to see the sudden stiffening of the sand by dust that 'popped' off of the ground the moment the boy distilled his chakra through the environment. For all intents and purposes, Jishaku considered those two sharks to simply be gone, or rather of no use to him anymore. With his ever present grin Jishaku stared at the smiling boy. "Hey, look at that! For a second there, I wasn't sure you were paying attention. I'm glad you were though, otherwise I'd be disappointed to see the host of Shukaku in such dire straits. I suppose I should feign an attempt at taking you a bit more seriously huh?" Noticing movement off to his right, Jishaku pointed laxidasically toward the snake attempting to charge him, the sharks which circled him darting off immediately after it.
The sharks Jishaku had created were for the sole purpose of dealing with the large snake. He admitted internally that it more than likely wasn't in his best interest to send the first two after David, however in the end it worked to his advantage. The man was continuing to collect and store data on Shukaku and the extent of its abilities. He found the distillation of the sand around David to be a remarkable feat, and noted how that ability of his could alter his future plans of attack. The sharks themselves sunk beneath the sand, their dorsal fins dipping under as they became untraceable to one who could not see using the sand sight ability. As the snake neared, they erupted forth out of the sand. Their intent was clear as they leaped out of the sand heading straight for the snake's gullet at high speeds, leaving little time for the snake or the people on its head to react. With his gaze still on David he uttered, "I don't know who you're trying to fool with the absent kage act, but it doesn't matter much to me. Your shinobi are weak, your village is in utter disarray and has been since before I even arrived. And I'm really going to enjoy wiping that smirk off of your face. I know Shukaku can hear me, and I sincerely hope he considers coming out to play. He must be tired of hanging out with a brat like you all the time stuck in either an office or a pit."
The man's grin widened this time to show his teeth, his eyes gleaming with intent. He made no attempt at a second attack, allowing his enemies the courtesy of forming up on him before he truly began to fight. He didn't want this to be a cake walk, not by a long shot.

David's eyes lazily trailed after the second set of sharks as they moved away in the direction of the snake. Did he intend to kill the snake with them? David didn't know much about snakes really. The ones that lived in the desert usually kept their distance from people, and the ones that didn't had never really bothered him, and he'd equally left them alone. But, scales were a natural defense, and a giant snake had giant scales. Would even an enhanced sand shark be able to penetrate that? He rather doubted it. It was more likely the monstrosity would grind them to powder when it ran over them.
On the other hand, if they did survive, it would give the group of ninja that had apparently congregated on the snake something to do, and keep them out of his way a bit longer, so he chose to ignore it. Either way, it didn't seem likely to hurt him or anyone he actually cared about.
Turning back to Jishaku, he raised an eyebrow at what the man was saying. He was apparently still holding to the kage bit, which only meant David had to make his defeat utterly humiliating, just in case the foreign nin truly believed it. And even if they didn't, it would go into their mission reports anyways, and their kages would not be so easily convinced. Luo in particular, since he knew nothing of the raikage, would likely see through the whole thing in a second. And then... Shukaku? So the man wanted to fight the Ichibi itself? What kind of fool was he really? Unless he was hiding a level of power beyond even what destroyed the tower, he was no match for even that supposedly weakest of the bijuu.
"Of course the village is in disarray." David finally responded, a hint of anger crawling into his voice. This fact had inconvenienced him more times than he cared to count, and even more so in the last few weeks. "Ever since I can remember we have been forced to defend against demons, incompetent leaders, rogue S ranks, one of our own kages went mad and attacked us. How could the village not be in disarray when every other month some idiot decides to attack us?!" he snapped the last line, which held particular upset for him. Every time he settled down to train, he was forced to deal with some rogue factor. First came the chuunin exams. Not such a bad deal since he'd been promoted, and managed to get some training in anyways. Then Cloverfield as soon as he got home. Followed immediately by a years coma. Who knew what he could have done in that year? And then just as he began training again, Zane attacked the village, forcing him to come out again. That didn't last long and he didn't even get to fight, but it lead to his unfortunate instatement as temporary kazekage. A position he was growing to despise, as he'd been stuck in that office dealing with immigrants and diplomats ever since. And now Jishaku wanted to attack as well, adding himself to the unending chain of events that conspired against not only Sunagakure, but David's ability to train and advance himself.
"And Shukaku?" David spoke again, calmer, quieter. "He's pretty much just been laughing this entire time. It's honestly getting quite distracting, so please, stop trying to amuse him."
Finally tired of the banter, and seeing that Jishaku didn't plan to attack himself, David decided it was his turn. Yamatano, if the sand sharks were as useless against them as David expected, would likely try that leaping attack again, judging by his posture. Shinji, if he got it close, could use those devastating punches of his. He didn't know what the girl could do. But everything seemed to require Jishaku not move... Waiting for a few more seconds for the others to get close, David ran through a short series of seals, running forward to get within range of Jishaku before shouting the name of his jutsu. "Suna Ouchi!" The name would be familiar to both Jishaku, and Shinji as well, since he'd used it in their fight. A jutsu that made a pit of sand directly below the user. In most cases. With his mastery of sand, it would seem entirely possible that he could manipulate the jutsu to appear nigh on wherever he wished. And the jutsu itself, at it's base, was designed to conform to the shape the user wished as well. He could potentially create a massive area of motion inhibiting quicksand using that technique.
But that's not what he was doing. rather than a pit appearing below the two as described by his called jutsu, ropes of sand materialized directly below Jishaku, four in total, two darting towards his legs, one seeking to capture his wrists, and one for his torso. If he took the escape route David hoped for, leading with Suna Ouchi, the sand ropes would easily capture him in midair, leaving him exposed, if only momentarily, to whatever attack the others had planned.
~ [Chakra: 77/90] [Sand: 24] [Mission Points: 58] [D-0][C-3][B-1][A-0][S-1] Probably not the best introduction to that tactic I could have used, but I couldn't think of much way to make it better. David has way too few jutsu right now, thanks entirely to the list given in this post. Thinking about rewriting Ouchi slightly again. Partly because it doesn't work quite the way I was planning on for this post (What I described doing with it is entirely impossible even for David.), but mostly because it's current state doesn't mesh right with most of the other sand jutsu of it's type. Quote: Suna Nawa [Sand Rope] Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu | Offensive Element: Sand Units: 1/4 per foot Description: Suna Nawa allows the user to launch up to four ropes of sand from their source, and attempt to capture a target with it. The rope is semi-controllable, and can be aimed and maneuvered in midair to corner the target. Once the target is caught, the rope will tightly wrap itself around them to confine them. An opponent with strength higher than the power of the jutsu can break free with some effort (One post), or if their hands have not been bound, they can cut the rope with a bladed weapon. Except for it's unique abilities, the rope has the same durability as a normal rope. The rope moves at C rank speed, but can only go as far as the user's sand allows. The rope's reaction speed is -.5 below the user's own, because it has to be consciously controlled.

 | Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Chuunin ||| Shinobi Profession: Teaching Master || RPC Profile || The monstrously large snake now carrying them to the heart of battle, Shinji's blood began to pump as he could feel a fight coming on, a wide grin curling across his face as he waited for his chance to strike. Though for a second his skin winced at a sudden flare of his bloodline's pain, Shinji passed it off as nothing, his blood already pumping strong as he approached the combat he yearned for every moment of the day. As luck would have it, it wouldn't take long as he saw the sand sharks move, their fins changing direction towards them before disappearing into the sand, their target all too obvious. Grinning widely at the attack, Shinji's hand went to his blade, ready to draw it as he communicated his intention to his companions. "I've got the sharks..."
No sooner had he spoke the words, then did the sharks erupt from the ground with incredible speed, ready to attack the giant snake to slow it's approach. Before Yamatano or Sora could even think to worry about the attack however, Shinji was gone, his already impressive speed enhanced by the adrenaline coursing through his veins, leaving behind only a small 'clanking' noise as he simultaneously moved and drew his sword from the holster on his back. With the giant maw of one of the sharks nearing the snake's gullet, a sudden flash of color revealed Shinji directly in the path of the sand shark as he swung his sword threw the Sand shark, the large blade trailed by an arc of tan energy as the shark was completely decimated by the attack.
Without any hesitation, Shinji then spun around, his body and blade creating a sight like a whirling vortex before he stopped, just to the side of the second incoming shark before lifting his blade to drive it down through the second Sand Shark's head, leaving the giant Kdoja without a scratch. Having channeled his doton element through the blade, his massive sword made short work of the Sand Structure, just as it had back in the exams, cutting through even the Ichibi's defenses as the blade bypassed all Doton-based barriers and structures. With both Sand Sharks destroyed, Shinji scoffed at the failed attack from his enemy. The constructs destroyed, Shinji then moved back up towards the top of the snakes head, taking up a position behind Yamatano as he re-sheathed his sword with another loud clank, keeping his gaze on the enemy, ready for another attack.
"Got you covered Yamatano, don't bother watching your back, I've got it." With those words, Shinji removed the weapon that hung down off the side of his waist, and with the flick of his wrist, the 4 blades of his custom windmill shuriken fanned out around the central ring, each one clicking into position one after the other as he held the massive weapon behind him, ready to release it into the air at a moments notice. This one, no one had seen before, but it would be the perfect weapon in neutralizing any threats to the other members of his team as they made an all out attack against an uncertain foe.[Chakra Reserves: 46 / ∞] [Stamina : 67/85]

This feeling quickly passes, allowing the Konaga to move normally once again. for the remainder of the post however, they suffer a reduction in Speed and Strength by 1 rank.

Pain Level 1 - The Konaga's Pain suddenly spikes, distracting them momentarily. How the pain exhibits itself differs (is up to the user to create), but it does not incapacitate them, it simply serves as a distraction.
Pain Level 0 - The Konaga's pain is at full strength, but this is normal. They feel the pain and are affected by it normally, but this does not endanger them or distract in any way. This is their baseline condition.

Before he could dispel the snake, Shinji acted, a dazzling display of both finesse and power with his enormous sword. The sand monstrosities burst into a shower of sand, allowing the Kyodaija to remain on course. "Keep that up." Yamatano yelled back, eyes locked on Jishaku.
In front of them, David and Jishaku had continued to trade insults, something that was beginning to make Yamatano wonder if either of them really took the other seriously. Neither one seemed to have much interest in actually battling, and more interest playing angry diplomat. Sure, each one would throw out a jutsu, but nothing that could truly........the thought died in Yamatano's head as he saw what David had created: sand ropes. As the ropes slithered like a python to wrap around Jishaku, Yamatano saw his chance for success where there had once been failure. Shinji's call from behind removed all doubts as he ran forward along the snake's head until he reached the nose, leaping directly forward, right arm with wristblade extended, set to pierce Jishaku's chest.
No longer was he descending like an eagle, giving his prey time to run as gravity brought him down. Now he was striking like a serpent, the Kyodaija's momentum along with his own thrusting him forward, his target caught like a rat in a trap. Of course, Yamatano had few ways to defend himself in the unlikely event that Jishaku escaped and he missed, but with allies on all sides, Yamatano allowed himself to focus purely on offense.
As his foot left the massive serpent, the snake veered left to avoid smashing into the two when Yamatano made contact, but stayed extremely close. The serpent would turn 180 degrees, making it's arc behind David, keeping an unblinking eye on Yamatano and Jishaku, Too close to miss should Jishaku try to get away. “…Must first find out how to get past me.” Fiercely Loyal || Determined || Protective || Aspiring OininChakra Points: 63/74 Exploding Smoke Grenade: 5 Makibishi: 20 Shuriken: 10 Light Bombs: 5 Kunai: 0 Ninja Wire: 100 Ft.
