Voodoo sprinted through the snow shrouded forest, not paying attention to his surrounded, though he was only on the peaceful side of the forest. As Voodoo neared a frozen river bank he slowed down his sprinting so he wouldn't slip, and break any needed bones in his legs. Once Voodoo slowed down enough to the point where he was stationary he eyed a snow owl, perched on a frozen boulder. Voodoo wanted to pounce and capture the owl, but he knew that the owl could easily fly away, since the owl was eyeing him too. So he decided to play the waiting and staring game, though he may or may not be able to capture such a creature.

Bavar continued to run, only stopping when he came by a pack member. He now started across the ice, hearing the soft tink of his nails. He soon saw a wolf in his vision and he skidded to a stop. Due to the ice, he slid a small distance before coming to a complete halt. He looked at the wolf. To Bavar, the wolf was unfamiliar but Rieshe's pack continued to grow everyday. As he got closer, he recognized the red-brown wolf. It was one of the Omegas. The scout watched the owl hoot angrily before flying off but Bavar gave it no further heed. "Rieshe requires the pack to the den."
--
Itus saw his mate's present and he went to thank him for it but Hahnu's presence changed within a second. Itus' ears pinned against his head, knowing he had caught the scent. "Hahnu, there is nothing. Let us go." He murmured, trying to distract the male by rubbing against him. Itus' plans failed as his mate ran off. "Hahnu, stop!" He snarled, running after him. Itsu was strong but Hahnu was faster, much faster than him. Itsu could keep up but he could not further advance on his mate. "Hahnu, stop! Do not charge into this!" He called, snarling as his hackles rose, "Listen to me, dammit!" It was obvious his mate was not going to listen, Itus knew his mate. Itus knew that Hahnu would attack anything non wolf and he knew all what was flashing through his mate's mind was his sister. The male was protective of the femme, Itus understood, only a year ago the poor thing lost her litter and mate. However, Hahnu did not know that this smell was Rieshe's returned pups.
"Hahnu!" He nearly whined, still chasing after his mate. He knew the snow was flying behind them. Hahnu needed to stop and think, Rieshe was not helpless. She would return and explain everything. Itus hoped that Hahnu would listen to him and slow down but he soon heard a howl. Itsu slid to a stop, feeling his muscles contract until he was frozen. His face was was looking towards the direction the song had come from, ears erect and his panting coming out in clouds. He knew instantly. Snarling he pushed off his hind legs and bolted once more after his mate, "Hahnu!"
--
Rieshe had caught a rabbit. She was now crouched, staying stock still, about to catch another. Her yellow eyes were on the target and she crouched slightly lower, ready to pounce for it. She felt awful for dumping her misshapen pups on Teal but she needed this to think, collect her thoughts. What would she do with them? The pack would react violently, they would be outsiders even though they were her own. Her thoughts always stopped on Hahnu, he would kill them as soon as he set his eyes on them. Her brother had always did everything to make her happy, to make her safe. How would she be able to stop and protect her pups from Hahnu's fangs? Would Itus help? She could not defend her pups from two grown males, lest she make her body available to deep wounds. She could not do that, her pack needed her and winter was reaching it's peak.
She was about to pounce and capture the snow hare in her jaws. A howl called out and the rabbit ran. Naturally, she would have jumped up and attacked the fool that dared howl. They were so close they would have been able to see she was hunting. This howl however, this howl froze her. Her bones locked and she stayed crouched, eyes widening and ears drooping. She knew that song anywhere, that voice. Razor. Memories rushed to her head, mainly as haunts. Rieshe had believed her mate to be dead, it was the only logical thing to her. He had been strong.
She raised herself slowly, her tail curling to her belly, as to protect herself. She turned and saw the creature staring at her. Her hackles raised and she backed away, growling softly. She knew it was her mate but like the pups that had come before, he was a different creature. "Razor." She greeted, still backing away slowly, her tail tightly against her belly. What was he doing here? Why now? Why was he... a monster? Her ears pinned against her skull, and she started to shake. Why was she scared? She needed to be fearless! Her pack needed her. "You scared my prey away." She snarled softly, not knowing what else to say to the creature that had once been her mate.

Voodoo let out a whine as the owl flown off into the clear white sky. This greatly upset him since he was very hungry from his usual sprinting through the forest. He sprints to keep his endurance up, and maybe for future challenges or so. Voodoo looked over to the renowned wolf in the pack, called Bavar. As he looked at him he decided to sniff the air to he could capture and remember his scent for future references. "That owl looked pretty good." Voodoo said with a little sadness in his voice."Also, it seems that I lost the pack.. Again." He was pretty new to the pack, so this was normal for him in his eyes.

Razor slowly lowered his head to look at Rieshe, he's white eyes recognizing her instantly. "Why do you shake before as if I wear the very bear that gave me the scars?" Then his eyes widened slightly. He moved closer and nuzzled her face and neck with his own. "I Missed you My Love. The night you went to get a drink, a human crept into the den and tried to steal our pups. I mortally wounded him, but as he fled other humans assisted him, and I found myself trapped by them in one of their structures. I was taken to their territory and painfully changed into this." Then after a few short moments he said, "Those accursed humans changed our pups, and myself, but I made every attempt to protect them, no human came within touching distance of them while I was awake, and I had many sleepless nights. I awoke this morning to find I had been returned to the territory. I am finally home my love, and I hope you left our five children in the care of someone capable. I know they were returned before me, I caught their scents on the wind."

Bavar watched him, "I apologize." He spoke before looking behind him. "Follow me then, I'll lead you back." He offered, turning and starting to walk back where he had just came from. He looked over his shoulder at the other male. "We can catch a rabbit on the way back."
Rieshe froze when her mate approached her and started to nuzzle into her. She stood stock still, watching him wary eyes. She shied away from him, her tail still pinned against her belly. "I see...." She replied, watching him. She crouched slightly. He obviously still wanted her but did she still want him? Her eyes trailed over his new body, not sure how to feel about it. Was there more of them? More of these man made creatures? "Only three returned to me. Apparently two still hide." She answered carefully. She then realized something, "They know you're here! Will they come after you?! Does your presence put my pack in danger?!" She snarled softly, instantly turning into her Alpha mode.

He came upon the thing, the vile thing, trotting back towards the pack den. This thing was definitely the source of the horrid smell, the smell that the longer it was in his nostrils, the more he hated it. The thing seemed aggravated, agitated, but he only cared about how it was headed back to the den, back to his family. It stomped through the snow like it owned the place. This was his place, and his place was no home to vile things. This thing was no wolf, no creature he had come across in the woods. It had wolf-like features, but it was far from natural.
Itus had raced after him, pleading him to stop, but Hahnu knew that the large body he bore would not carry him as fast. If Itus had managed to catch him, Hahnu would, indeed, have been stopped, but he was too swift, too agile for his mate. The further Hahnu coursed along the tracks, the more distance he placed between himself and Itsu. He still had some time to confront this strange, foreign thing before his mate tumbled through the wood. Plenty of time to deal with an interloper. Yes, that's all it is: an interloper, strange as it may be. He himself had never had to deal with any intruders, but the drive came easily to him: kill anything I don't want or understand.
Hahnu placed himself in the middle of the path the thing had made for itself, firmly planting his front paws in the ground, the fur on his neck and back rigid. His ears were flat on his head, his brows furrowing in unconcealed aggression, his golden eyes holding their intense gaze on the creature. He barred his long, sharp fangs at the thing, letting a low growl escape. He snapped his teeth together, barking viciously. "What are you doing here?" he snarled. It seemed like the only plausible question as he began to slowly circle around the thing, getting closer to it. "You don't belong here." He did not intend on being merciful.

Plow heard the voice and stopped dead in his tracks. Then he looked up at the wolf blocking his way and tilted his head to the side before his tail started to wag rapidly and his eyes lit up as he became excited. "Uncle Hero!!!! My name is Plow and I'm going back to Miss Teal and my brother Multi, my sister Raza. My sister Tricks is somewhere high off ground, and My sister Red is somewhere hiding. She likes to hide." Then Plow bounded closer and said, "Uncle Hero!"
Razor started to growl himself. "The Humans as it turns out have been watching us and other packs since long before either you or I were born. We've been in danger since before my father's father's father was born."

Itus was pissed as hell. He wish he was not so large, so he could dash off after his mate. Hahnu soon disappeared from his sight and Itus snarled. He continued to run, to catch up. When he did, his mate was blocking the pup's path. The odd looking thing was greeting Hahnu, as if nothing had ever happened. Hahnu looked like he was going to kill it. Itus slid into a stop in front of the pup, between it and his mate. He ignored the thing and set his attention right on Hahnu. "Hahnu, stop." He growled lightly, he did not want to fight with his mate. "These are Rieshe's pups. They smell like her. She would not want you to harm them." Hahnu's weakness was Rieshe and Itus hoped it would calm him down, somewhat.
Rieshe growled at that, still crouching and covering herself with her tail. She was not sure how to react with Razor. Somewhere she felt happiness warm up and her love for him return but her fear of his new form, her pups and the news of the humans stopped her. Her pack also stopped her from being thrilled. How would her pack take to Razor? He had been gone for a year. "What is your goal then, Razor?" She asked softly, watching him with her yellow orbs.

Razor raised his front right paw and scraped the snow covered ground with it. A gesture Rieshe would know from the past that Razor would use when ever he was making a promise in determination. "I intend to protect you, our family, and our entire pack With my very life if necessary. The next human I see is going to die, even if I have to chase it back to the heart of it's territory. I already lost my form and the forms of my children to them. I WILL NOT Lose anything to them ever again."
He Closed his eyes tight for a moment and took a deep breath. "I will hunt all of Man's children who dare approach and threaten any of us with their presense. I've had ENOUGH of man and his broken promises. You know as well as I do of the promises man made in the ancient times, Man has broken his promises time and again, and he has no intention of keeping them."
Then Razor took a deep breathe and his ears pinned themself to his head, and his voice started to turn into a deeper growl than any wolf in the pack could make on their own. "I intend my dearest love, To protect our race, and to Punish Man for everything he has done!!" His hackles were raised, and his teeth bared.
After a moment he turned away and seemed to calm down. He seemed to almost take on a nervous and yet happy tone. "I wonder How Hahnu will react to my return? Or to the fact that While we were in captivity I told our five pups stories of the pack and described your brother the way I see him to be. He is no screw up in my mind. If it weren't for the elders I would have made him Beta male a long time ago..."
"Let's return to the den."

The thing spoke to him. Called him ... uncle? Uncle Hero? It was laughable. The thing smelled like nothing he had ever known, like no kin of his, like something from man. Only one had called him Hero, and that one was long gone. He believed it was just a trick that man had cooked up. Confused he may be, but he still had no intentions of backing down, not from this alien creature. "Uncle?" he spat at the creature. "I am no one's uncle." The word was a foreign concept to him. Of course, he had been one once before, but that was only a fleeting moment. The pups did not last long in this world.
When the thing, now named Plow, bounded forward at him, Hahnu jumped out of the way, visibly enraged that it would assume to approach him. He was losing his calm and quickly. If there was one thing Hahnu knew about hunting, he knew that if you rushed things, if you were not calm, careful, and patient, the prey would escape. The thought of this thing being here scared him, but he would only let his fear show in the form of anger. His fangs were still bared, his yellow eyes burning, when he heard the sound of Itus' paws charging through the snow behind him. Good, he had back up, in case this thing tried anything else.
But Itus did not stand beside him. He stood in front of him, in his way, in between him and the monster. He could see Itus was angry as well, but this anger was directed at him, his mate. Hahnu did not immediately grasp the meaning of what Itus was communicating. His snout uncurled, sheathing his biggest weapon and his ears began to right themselves. He allowed his muscles to relax. Itus would not lie to him, not like this. Hahnu looked past him at the creature and saw its bright... yellow eyes. Much like his sister's, which supposedly were similar to his; Hahnu had only seen his reflection in the lake and the color of his eyes always seem dark and dull.
No. He wouldn't believe it. His muscles stiffened once more and his ears began to flatten once more. "A rabbit Rieshe killed would have her scent on it. But, are you saying my sister birthed that? She has not had a mate since Razor!" he hissed.

"It's ok. Rabbits are chump food though." Voodoo told the wolf, as he followed him while still being a few meters away just to be safe. The two were exiting into a moderately dangerous part of the forest, though nothing they could handle."So how did you find the pack?" Voodoo wanted to make light conversation to make it seem like the trek will go faster, but he knew in his mind that they still had an hour or so of walking left.

"Say what you like," Bavar said with a grin and chuckle, "But when winter shields the deer, you don't complain when you have to hunt a rabbit or a mouse. Energy is energy." He then looked behind him, slowing down his pace so he was walking in sync with the other male. "I live at the pack den, so when Tern returned with her pups and Teal came with news of Rieshe calling the pack, I decided to run around and spread the word before she howls." He sighed softly and looked around them. He then spotted a rabbit and froze, crouching. "There is your dinner."
- -xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - -
Itus stepped closer to his mate, taking his whole vision. "Hahnu... Teal explained things to me. The wisest thing to do is wait for Rieshe, she will explain to you." He liked his muzzle, he did not want to fight with his mate but he would protect this... creature from Hahnu's fangs. "Let us return to the cave."
- -xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - -
Rieshe watched him carefully, still not able to fully calm down. "The pack does not need revenge right now, Razor. The winter is growing to its peak. Man for now, is the least of my worries. I need to figure out how I'm going to feed my pack." She growled softly. "But fine, let us return to the den." She stood, still protecting her belly as she started to walk. It was then that the wind gave her a scent of Hahnu, but not only him, Itus and one of her pups. She froze before whining, and without another glance to her ex-mate, she bolted off.
Her thoughts instantly filled with worry. Hahnu hated things unnatural, as much as any wolf if not more. She ran with a fury. Much like her brother, she was swift like the wind. Her lithe form allowed her to move that way. She ran for a long time, her lungs burning as the chill air rushed into her lungs. She soon saw her brother and she stopped, looking at him, panting. "Hahnu." She whispered.

"Feeding the Pack will be...." Razor started to say, but then the wind changed and the scent his his nose as well. His mate ran off, and he easily followed. He slowed to a trot and then stopped beside Rieshe. "Well, It's been a long time Hero. I see you've met my son and your nephew." He didn't seem out of breathe even though he'd had to run fast to keep up with Rieshe.
Plow looked over and bounded over to Rieshe, "Momma! I met Uncle Hero! I met Uncle Hero!" Then he moved to snuggle against one of Rieshe's legs, and looked up at Razor, "Hello Daddy!"

"But hidden doe's and bucks are good hunting." Voodoo loved a good hunt, a good hunt could teach you good character, and build your skills. If a hunt goes bad it could help you see where you went wrong in the process."How loud is said howl?" This struck Voodoo curious due to him not hearing a howl that could go ranges further then the forest. He then stopped along with Bavar, as he saw a frozen rabbit. "You like frozen food?"

Itus' touch, though comforting, did little to shake him. He didn't understand what was going on, couldn't comprehend it. All he could focus on was this thing in front of him. What was going on? What did it mean? Why was it here? Above all: where was Rieshe?
His mate was right. If Itus was making this big of a deal, maybe it was true... After all, he never lied to him. Ever. Hahnu nuzzled against his neck, all the while keeping his yellow eyes on the excited thing that called him "Uncle Hero." Its bright eyes looked at him expectantly. His haunches relaxed their muscles. With his muscles no longer rigid, surely Itus would stop worrying. "So... it smells like her?" He took a ginger step forward, his nostrils open ready for any trace of his sister. All too suddenly, he picked up her scent on the creature. It was strong. "Hahnu."
His head jerked away from the thing. Rieshe had appeared out of nowhere, like the woods just spat her out. A nervous, deranged look crossed her face. Her tail was pinned between her legs. Something was wrong. Something was also barreling through the forest, larger and louder than even Itus. When it came into view, Hahnu held his breath. This wasn't natural. It was just as unnatural as the smaller creature before him. The larger creature was ... oddly familiar. Deformed, but... yes.
"Your son? My nephew?" He let out a low growl of warning. "You left this world. A long time ago!" Hahnu was once again positioned for attack at this larger creature, those he was much closer to the ground. There was no intimidation on the part of the newer, larger thing, who oddly resembled Rieshe's ex-mate, but Hahnu was nevertheless intimidated. Especially with his sister trying to conceal her fright.
