Chuppi really didn't have anyone she wanted to go visit nor did she really have any desire to go and scout out other teams. She'd made the suggestion, sure, but it just wasn't in her to do something like look around and compare. The end results would likely have her unhappy anyway so it was best for the monster to stay put and mentally prep herself for battle.

The sun certainly was feeling nice, even if her friends were smelling worse and worse as time went by, and she moved to a spot where she could lay in the sand and get some decent sun in. She was more reptile in instinct than Chuppi'd like to admit but that was beside the point. Moving so that she was on her stomach, she snuggled down against the warm yellow grains and sighed. Surely someone would wake her when it was time, right?

Or at the very least wake her if they wished to speak with her. . . .like those two new people might want to!

Alex was only all too aware that the bucket of water over his head had done almost nothing to help with the smell. And now it seemed they were allowed to go and look at everyone else's sandcastles if they wished. Glancing up at Yin through Hair still plastered over his eyes, knees up and arms resting on them, he asked, "Did you want to go anywhere, or stay here? I'm not sure I'm really up for walking all over the beach, to be honest..."

But it didn't matter anyways, as it appeared as though his friends might just come to him! He greeted Mitzi with a warm smile, trying to look happier then he was currently feeling at the moment.

"Hey, ya! We're all finished here. I didn't realise you were in the trials." He confessed, wondering what team she had ended up on. Another new arrival caught his attention, and it was a ghoul he had never seen before. "Hi there." He greeted her, with a lazy wave of his hand. He was starting to feel a little bit rude, just sitting on the ground making everyone uncomfortable with his stench. He suddenly decided to reach up and grab a hold of Yin's hand, pulling on it to help himself up off of the ground, though there was a chance Yin might be caught off gaurd and get pulled into Alex's lap instead~

"You are welcome Alexander," he informed the boil, then was surprised as Miss Mitzi and another unknown female showed up. "Greetings Miss Mitzi, Miss..." Well, he did not know her name, but that was okay as he really had nothing to say to her anyway.

Then all of the sudden Alexander decided to yank on his hand, throwing the mantodae, who had certainly not been expecting an attack from his bonded, completely off balance. He had two options really, collapse into the zomboil or try to stay upright, and he aimed for that. He really did.

Unfortunately his movement to attempt to stay upright was not as useful as he had hoped, and he found himself crashing toward the one person he did not know, perfectly aimed to fall right into her shoulder and there was absolutely nothing he could do about it.

Reiko gave a polite polite smile to the ghoul who answered her comment about the crab. She kept her hands carefully away from the castle and the crab both, not wanting to damage the architecture or get pinched by the castle's guard. She glanced over at the sunning chupacabra and couldn't help but giggle. Seemed that there was at least one student enjoying things!

"Reiko Yamamura," she introduced herself to the odd monster boil, with nothing more than a polite nod. She actually had to force herself to not ice over her tone. The onryo felt a small pang of guilt for that; none of these students had done anything to deserve her mistrust but she just...couldn't help it.

She was just as unprepared for Yin to come flying at her as he had been to be pulled on, and her immediate reaction was to yelp and push him away, then skitter a bit backwards. She felt bad about it almost immediately after, but there was no undoing it now.

Mitzi grinned in return. "I found a group of other ghouls, and even though we didn't know each other before, we seem to make a pretty good team." She was actually a little surprised, especially the zombie and the ghost. She might not become best friends with any of them, but the Trials at least had been going well so far.

As much as the beach was not agreeing with Alex, the Reaper ghoul was clearly enjoying herself. "This is amazing! I mean, I'd heard about some of this stuff, but I hadn't expected anything like this!" Just talking about it reminded her how much she was enjoying everything, and she dug her toes into the sand.

"Nice to meet you, Reiko. I'm Mitzi," the Reaper replied with a slight nod to the ghost ghoul, and her own words were more rote than any actual interest in getting to know the ghost. Her own upbringing had left her without all that high of an opinion of ghosts.

Luckily, perhaps(?), there wasn't time for anything more, when the weremantis stumbled as Alex tried to pull himself up. Unfortunately, with her feet half-buried in the sand, Mitzi was not actually in a good position to jump forward and catch Yin. This didn't occur to her, though, so she tried anyway, half-stumbling from the unexpected resistance. She was able to catch herself, and even get close enough to reach out to grab Yin. But she didn't have time to plan how to catch him, just to reach out blindly and do her best to balance the extra weight. She managed to get her arms between him and the ground, but couldn't do anything but pull him to her. Unfortunately Yin probably got a face-full, but Mitzi didn't care too much, since it had been her own fault.

She probably wouldn't have had time to catch him at all if not for the brief extra time she got from Reiko's... spectacularly bad reaction to the mantodae.

Alex was a little confused as to why Yin was telling him he was welcome. All he had done was ask the weremantis if he wanted to go walking around to look at the other sand castles. Maybe the sun was getting to the weremantis in a different way then it was to the zomboil.

Regardless, Alexander was not at all prepared for the chain reaction of events he caused just by trying to stand up. He hadn't expected Yin to not be able to easily support his weight and help him to his feet, since Alex himself was a scrawny bag of bones while Yin, even though hew was shorter, was still quite muscular and had proven his strength (and stamina) to the zomboil many times.

Alex was halfway to his feet, and still holding on to Yin's hand tight when the weremantis stumbled towards the ghoul. He tried to pull the weremantis back, but the sickening sound of wet, squelchy, tearing flesh as Alex's skin parted at the elbow joint made the zombie boil immediately let go of Yin before his arm could be wrenched off entirely. He somehow still managed to stand up, though barely, and with much arm flailing, as he watched in horror the scene that was playing out in front of him.

Oh..ohno! Ohjack...nonononononno! Was pretty much Alex's current train of thought as first Yin went careening towards one ghoul, who back pedaled out of the way, and then straight into Mitzi, who had for some reason decided to come to Yin's rescue, using her chest as a landing pad.

This did not bode well, and Alex winced inwardly, cradling his arm to his chest, completely speechless.

He suddenly wished he had buried himself in the sand earlier like he had planned to. Maybe Chuppi would be able to help him out with that. He glanced towards the ghoul but she appeared to be sleeping on the sand.

Obviously Alexander was letting the sun get to him if he could not remember something that had just happened before the ghouls arrived, even though Yin had put in so much effort to bring him that bucket of water.

But Yin was dealing with way too much to worry about his boilfriend's questionable short-term memory loss. He had just made a ghoul yelp, and he completely deserved her shoving him away. Well, at least he could just fall to the ground pathetically.

Then he was boob tackled.

Tackled and pulled into Miss Mitzi's breasts face first. His face froze in an expression of horror as he tried to pull away, scrambling to get up. He had just...his face....there...oh Great Mantis she was probably going to demand that he become her chosen because he had just touched her. There.

Horrified and horrendously ashamed he turned and steadily but quickly marched off down the beach.

Into the ocean.

And just kept walking, face still frozen in a mask of horror. Maybe if enough waves hit him they would wash off the soft feeling that tauntingly lingered on his face?

Sweet sally, what had she done?

Mitzi had actually been feeling pretty proud of herself for catching Yin. Sure, it was going to be awkward in a minute, but it had been her fault, she was going to just brush it off.

Apparently that was not okay with the weremantis. Apparently this was very much not okay with the weremantis. Jacking hell, this had not gone how she had meant it to.

She stumbled back fully to her feet as Yin picked himself up and turned to head down the beach. She had just enough of a glimpse of his face to know that she had somehow, unintentionally, very badly ******** up.

"Yin!..." As he marched off down the beach, she managed to get out a strangled cry, wanting to tell him to stop, to apologize, but he may not have even heard her. And she couldn't rally her thoughts enough to try again, or figure out anything else to do.

This was bad. This was so bad that Alex, for once, had no idea, not a single one, of what he could possibly do to make it better. Yin didn't want him doing anything affectionate in public, and you couldn't get anymore public then this, with a spectators and giant skellyvision screens. Alex was actually almost positive his parents were probably out there somewhere watching all of this, and he could only stare in horror as his bonded, his boilfriend, walked off into the ocean.

"YIN!" He called out, pathetically, taking two shaking steps in his direction before stopping, and turning on the two ghouls, his face suddenly darkening.

His mood had been horrible since the moment he arrived on this stupid hot disgusting sun baked beach. He had managed to hold it together for his team, to smile and act cheerful even though his flesh was turning squelchy and rotten, even though nobody could stand to be near him at the moment because of the smell, even though his leg had already fallen off once and now his arm, his jack damned arm was starting to come apart as well. He still clutched said arm to his chest as he pretty much just exploded. He didn't even care that it was pretty much his own fault. If Mitzi had just let Yin fall this wouldn't be happening. Or maybe it would, but Alex needed to vent on somebody, for something.

"Look at what you did!" He yelled, glowering at both of the ghouls. "JUST LOOK!" He pointed off towards where Yin appeared to be trying to kill himself at the moment. "Don't you know how to think before you act? You just broke my boilfriend!" Yes, Alex had just said it out loud, for everyone around him to hear. His lip was pulled back from his teeth in a snarl, one that was normally held in reserve for enemies who tried to harm him or Yin.

"And I'd appreciate it if you could keep your hands off of him, and your...ample chest...out of his face." Alex all but growled.

Woah...where had that come from? Alexander was not the jealous type. Was he really just that angry right now that he was yelling anything that came to mind? It appeared to be that way. Without another word he turned and stumbled his way through the sand towards Yin, falling to one knee often but scrambling back up and shambling on wards. When he got to the wet sand closer to the ocean itself he carefully manuvered his way over it, and began yelling at Yin, almost pleading with the other boil.

"Yin please, come back! I'm sorry I made you fall down!" Okay, so he wasn't above admitting to the weremantis that it had been his own fault.

"Please Yin! As...As your bonded I am begging you, come back!" Was he allowed to do that? Yin had said he would do anything for Alex now....Time to see if the words were true.

Reiko had a hand over her mouth and all she was managing even before the zombie boil started yelling were tiny, horrified, guilty squeaks. Certainly, she didn't like the idea of "meeting" a boil as closely as she had been about to be introduced to the weremantis, but just seeing him get squished into the Reaper's so immodestly uncovered breasts had brought a bright red flush to the onryo's pale cheeks.

She certainly hadn't known what to say when the monster boil had started walking towards and into the ocean.

And now she was being yelled at by another boil. Tears appeared at the corners of her eyes and began to fall down her cheeks. She felt even worse hearing what he said. She had really managed to screw up and she wasn't even at the school yet and by the time she got there everyone would have heard of this and they would all hate her. She started walking away as quickly as she could backwards.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, gomen nasai, I'm sorry...!" She gasped, over and over again, before she turned, almost running but not quite out of consideration for the other teams. (Not to mention that a kimono wasn't exactly running attire.)

Clearly coming up to Amityville has been a terrible idea.

It almost sounded as if there were words drifting to him over the sound of the ocean. He really did not know how long he had been standing there, whether it was a minute or an hour (more than likely a couple of minutes. It did take Alexander a bit of time to navigate through sand after all). The entire time his mind had been busy thinking of the horrible scenarios that could now befall him. Perhaps they would behead him. Or simply he would have to become her chosen, and who could really blame her? Or perhaps she was mad and would require something much worse than that, something so bad that he could not even imagine it.

But no, there were words. "Yin please," a wave crashed, drowning out part of the words, "fall down." Even Alexander could understand the horrible shame that had just occurred. He began to take another step as a new wave washed over him, spewing water into his face.

"Please Yin! As...As your bonded I am begging you, come back!" He hesitated. Was...was he hearing things? Had the zomboil just told him to return? Not to throw himself into the ocean and never show his face again? He turned after a long moment, unable to ignore the request, even if he had misheard it, visibly upset and unable to even attempt to look the zomboil in the face with the memory of his shame still so fresh on his mind. A wave crashed into his back and he took a stumbling step forward, and then another, making his way slowly back to the beach. The walk of a doomed boil.
PostPosted: Thu Mar 08, 2012 1:26 am

Alex waited to see if Yin was going to listen, not even sure the other boil would be able to hear him over the crash of the waves. It wasn't until Yin actually turned around that Alex relaxed, and he watched as Yin approached. He took a couple of steps into the water himself, relishing the cool feel of it against his normal foot and almost wanting to just lay down in the water and let the waves crash over him repeatedly, but refraining.

Finally Yin was back on the shore, and Alex, heedless of who might be watching and really, not giving a jack damn, wrapped an arm around the boils shoulders in what might have been considered a friendly and comforting manner to anybody watching.

"You...you scared me." He blurted out, admitting to himself finally why he had gotten so snappy with the ghouls, to the point where one of them had apparently fled the scene in tears. "Please don't do anything like that to me again. I'm so sorry though Yin, that was all my fault. I didn't think you would fall down..." His voice trailed off, and he looked so worried, and now he was ushering Yin back towards the sand castle.

"I think the trials are starting soon. Come on. Just..try to forget about it for now. We have things to do."

WAVE 1: CRABS, CRABBBBBBBBBBBBS HP 40/40

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Scuttling right towards the team was an army of oversized crabs, their pincers waving menacingly. They were ready to destroy all things sand and castle related.

CRAB DEFENSE MECHANICS:

CRAB VERSUS THE CASTLE

Odd = Offense
Even = Defense
THIS CRAB HAS 3 OFFENSE POINTS.

(( First of all, don't forget to add the additional status from the Daily status effects to your sandcastle ))
- This crab is trying to do 3 damage OFFENSIVE against the sandcastle. That means you have to match your DEFENSIVE damage against this crab's defense. Subtract your defense against this crab's offense points. IF your sandcastle is higher, you take no damage! If it is lower, subtract the HP value from your castle's HP. One person must RP out their sandcastle standing against the crabs or taking damage, and edit the first post sandcastle's HP as necessary (at least, though various reaction posts while battling is fine)

CRAB VERSUS THE CONTESTANTS

- EVEN IF YOUR CASTLE STOPS THE CRABS, you still need to delegate them away from your castle, so they do not hurt YOU. There is nothing stopping it from hurting YOU.
- Roll NORMALLY (no Fear charges), 2d6 -6 if you are a Y1, 2d8 - 6 if you are a Y2 to determine your damage AGAINST THE CRABS. Year 1's have 30 HP, Y2's have 40.
- The crab has a sum total of 40 HP. Every time you hit the crab, you take 5 damage. If your TEAM LEADER is KO'ed your group is disqualified!
- You can hit the crab as many times as needed until it is dead. If your crab is not dead by the end of the OOC 24 hours/ one round, the crab will berserk and take out half your sandcastle's HP.
- To attack the crab, once again, roll your attack, WRITE UP YOUR RP POST, and subtract 5 from your HP every time. Make sure to also post at the bottom of your post Your total HP, the damage you do to the crab, and the crab's total (remaining HP.

******** ******** ******** ******** ******** had really ******** things up.

But she had not by any means intended to. She had been trying to help, and how was she to know it would go so horribly wrong? Which didn't make it not her fault, but Alex certainly didn't have to act like she'd planned it. Like she should have known how badly Yin would react.

That didn't help at all with feeling of dread in the pit of her stomach. If something bad happened to the weremantis, it would be her fault.

Mitzi didn't stop the onryo when she fled, and in fact, it was all she could do not to run after her. The Reaper had caused this, and jackdamnit but she didn't want to leave before she could see if the weremantis was all right. She slowly headed down the beach after the boils, but then the announcement came to return to their sandcastles. She had wanted to give Alex a few minutes to talk with Yin before she interrupted them, but there wasn't time, she had to get back to her team.

The Reaper ghoul hurried up to the pair of boils, her eyes never meeting either of theirs. "Yin, I'm so, so sorry," she blurted out. Not sure what else to say, she fled, somewhat glad for the excuse to do so. She quickly headed back down the path to her own team, her eyes on her feet to watch where she was going. Yeah, that was why she kept her eyes down. Totally not guilt.

At least she'd seen him come back to shore, but he probably wasn't all right. Jacking hell, she'd really messed things up this time.

Alexander approached and for the briefest of moments all of the horrible things that the zomboil might now think about him, how he might judge him, flashed before his mind. Alexander lifting his arm made him tense up, expecting the worst but it just settled over his shoulders, a cool blanket of reassurance. And now...his bonded was trying to take the blame for everything. Simply for making him fall over which never should have happened except that the sand did not help his footing any. "You cannot blame yourself," he managed miserably. No, it was all his own fault for not being prepared for anything the way that he had been trained. He should have been expecting an attack from any angle.

He let himself be lead up the beach, mind not even focused on the trial. Alexander was taking him back, back to the ghoul and back to his shame. If he was even allowed in the trial anymore perhaps he could try his best, try to make things up to his teammates for the dishonor that they probably felt. Then Miss Mitzi came rushing up, causing him to flinch when he noticed, maybe not noticeable to everyone but certainly to someone who had his arm around his shoulders. And she was apologizing, apologizing when he had been the one to do something so horribly unforgivable and wrong. This was not right, this was not right at all. Miserable, stressed, and still visibly upset he let Alexander take him back to the group.

Then the trials began in earnest and everything else was massive. At least now his size matched how he felt.

Then something was scuttling at their castle, though the gigantic structure with its rather imposing decorations of seaweed fended off the attack. At least what the first years had found in the ocean was proving to be useful.
