Naito Dear D-corp, Ah, what a pleasant surprise to receive a letter from you! I had nearly forgotten you existed. Paxton has come to be such a part of my screwy family now, I hardly notice he's not my own. But nope! You guys seem to be still keeping minimal track of Paxton and me...I bet its because you bastards want to make sure Paxton's egg hatches all right. Not to worry. It's safe and sound in the lab, and Paxton is looking foreword to his dragon being born. He told me he's torn weather to call it Marigold or Buttercup. I don't think it ever occurred to him that his dragon might be born a male. Anyway! That little funky spell that Paxton seemed to be going through is over. Don't rejoice yet though. You think I would be thrilled that he's over his, 'The world must burn and perish!' phase, but in its place something much more terrifying. D-corp, is it normal for my child to be a raging hormone case at age 10? Well, is it, is it?! You bloody sonsofbitches why did you give me a child who is mental. I mean, children at his age shouldn't be trying to screw everything that moves. Erm, not that he is mind you. But Paxton has taken a heavy interest, in...erm, well more 'adult' pursuits. No matter how hard I try to set him strait about it he won't listen! (Curse Yahto!) Not to say that he's lost complete interest in the things he's always loved. More avid than ever, he remains outdoors, doing god only knows what. Don't ask, I don't know. Well I hope your happy. Don't blame me if this wasn't the type of news you were looking for. Sincerely Naito With that Naito stuffed the letter into the envelope. "Paxton, did you finish? Mommy wants to go to the post office sooner than later ...cause the liquor store is only open till 6. " the lovebird looked up from what he was doing.
"Almost, I just--what else can I do besides fly?" He furrowed his brows, Ma do you think they'd take kissing as something I can do?"
Naito's right eye twitched slightly, as she looked over the paper and set her hand over Paxton's which was still holding a green pen. "I...don't think so," She bit her lip trying to think of something fast. "Oh I know! You're loyal."
Paxton raised an eye. "Whaaa?"
"Loyal," repeated Naito. "Your always her for mommy, even when mommy hasn't been so good to you. You are very loyal to mommy, you forgive and protect her when she needs it, you always come back."
Paxton gave his mother another strange look before he picked up his pen. "Yeaaah...loyal." A few more scratches of the ink on the paper and...ta-da! Paxton smiled toothily, another job well done.
"Can I go now?" He asked his mother, who was now getting her coat and purse, he turned around in his chair to watch her. Frankly Naito didn't care.
"Yeah, yeah go do what ever you want...go pick flipping posies for all I care, but mommy has to go now!" With that she slammed the door, and was gone out of the house.
Paxton sat in silence for a moment. "Hmmn, posies..."

L-O-V-E Yahto Explains the Birds and the Bees "Well....what about this one?" Paxton asked as he opened up the door to the nice and tidy little room. It was pleasant enough, a bed, a table, some white curtains...a little vase of posies on the side. "It's not big, but you didn't seem to like any of the other rooms I showed you." Marigold stood and whined at Paxton's side as he waited for the others response. Since he had gotten her he had dragged that dragon everywhere with him. The petite little blonde male looked down at the ground, the wings on his head ruffling slightly. " D-don't worry about it Paxton. I'd be fine with any room you choose for me." A small smile curled around his lips as he tried to satisfy the lovebird with his answer. " It's a lovely roo---" He didnt' even finish, as the eldest and most violent member of the family walked by. Paxton beamed. "Did I mention that the best part about this room is its right next to Yahto's?" The blue haired man turned and gave Tsukasa an Paxton eyeing glance before he walked into his room slamming the door behind him. Tsukasa, gulped and looked at Paxton with a terrified look on his face, " You know, I really liked that last one you showed me...the one at the other end of the house." Had Paxton been more open and perceptive to emotions and feelings he would have realized that Tsukasa didn't really like the idea of having that man sleeping next to him. He looked terribly worried. "Gaaah," Paxton eyed Tsukasa wearily, "Why didn't you say that when we were over there then? ...Ah, oh well." He dropped his wings "Well go back there in a second. But first! " He turned and headed a few steps down the hallway to Yahto's room where he promptly turned the knob and headed inside. "Yahto, Yahto! " He bounded in excitedly jumping onto and attacking the man who was now laying shirtless in his bed. "Yahto where were you last night?" the Paxton was ecstatic, "...I did it Yahto! I made someone love me!" About now he was bouncing excitedly up and down on the bed, "It worked, it worked! An I really liked it! I like having people love me, I like loving people!" Forget the fact that Yahto had probably been half asleep when Paxton disturbed him. Still the blue haired demon opened one lovely green eye. " My apologies... but I was out with someone last night." Heaven only knew why Yahto put up with Paxton. Was it for the man's own perverse and guilty pleasures, or was it simply because he was Naito's 'son'?. Yahto parted his dark rich lips so that his beautiful white teeth could shine at Paxton, "Tell me about it," the man continued, trying to prompt Paxton about his adventures with 'love'. Yahto was Paxton's mentor and teacher now, it was an unspoken agreement between the two, weather for better or worse it was unclear, but the effect on had been positive...so it couldn't have been all that bad. "Well," Paxton started off seating himself comfortable over Yahto's hips. Tsukasa blushed at this, and looking mortified turned away. " I---I'll be just down the hall." He smiled at Paxton and then quickly made his exit."...Wonder what's gotten into him. Anyway, I made the Kobra kid love me! I dropped a cake on him, silly I know, don't ask. Eh-he-he," Paxton shook his head small yellow braid flopping back and forth as he retold his heroic adventures," So he was like, mad at me, ya know? I was a little nervous at first, but slowly things started to fall into place, and when the worst looked like it was about to hit...I HUGED HIM!" Paxton threw up his arms and ruffled his feathers, yes, yes he had hugged the Cobra boy. He had made Ter love him and he was proud for doing so. Yahto stared at the talkative freak for a moment before sighing and laying down. "Perhaps I need to teach you again, the principals of my practice." Paxton's wings drooped down at this. "Huh, did I do something wrong Yahto?" He had been so happy, yet Yahto didn't seem so pleased with him. The man pushed himself up, propping his back up against his pillow. "Get comfortable..."Paxton did as he was told and slunk over to the other end of the bed. With a ruffle he opened his feathers and wrapped them around himself, and after a few more moments of rustling and squishing he found a soft spot in the covers that he could nest in. Yahto upon seeing the lovebird comfortable began the lecture by lighting a cigarette. " Paxton, do you know what a kiss is? Paxton nodded solemnly. "Yes I know Yahto, it was that thing you did to me when I was crying, when you put your lips against mine. ...It felt good, and I liked it." Yahto paused thoughtfully for a moment, " Do you think that meant I love you Paxton...?" It dawned on Paxton where this was no headed but he was still unsure. "D-didn't it Yahto?...Yahto don't you love me?" If the demon found this amusing at all he kept it to himself. Not even a glimmer of a smirk flitted across his lips. "Love you Paxton? That is a dangerous question." Those deadly green eyes flickered as if daring the young love bird to plunge further into the abyss he was already sinking into. "Dangerous, how can love be dangerous?" Paxton was confused now, did Yahto love him...or didn't he? Wasn't a kiss supposed to mean I love you? If it didn't, then what had Yahto's kiss meant? The lovebird looked wearily at the blue haired devil. "...Explain, please explain love to me Yahto." In the glow of the mornings red light filtered across Yatho, it was a fitting look for him, pure evil. "Love Paxton...love is a word used to describe many different emotions in one. It is a silly name people gave a nonexistent feeling. Love for your mother is not the same type of love you share with me when we kiss, nor is is the same type of love you share for Keanu or your other friends," Now Paxton was really confused, love was not love? How could love be so many different things at once, how could he feel the same emotion three different ways? Maybe more, Yahto hadn't sounded like he was completely finished. " Let me start with the first type of love I described. Love for your mother...love for...Naito," Paxton found it odd that Yahto said Ma's name, but shook his head, yes, love for his Ma', now continue. " The love you feel for Naito is platonic love, or love in which affectionate relationship is established, there is no sexual element involved. A sexual element involves hormones, want, need, the urge which consumes your body an urge which few on this planet can escape, or ignore. The love you have with me could be considered sexual," Yahto inhaled deeply the fumes of his acrid smoke filling the room, " ...however I allow it to be nothing more than a kiss. A kiss Paxton can be a sign of my sexual love, as well as platonic love, or it can mean nothing you make a kiss what it is Paxton." Paxton drank the dark and oozing words from Yahto's lips as if they were the secret to his prayers. He didn't understand all of it, but he knew it was wisdom. Yahto was sharing something important with him and he was going to heed every word of it. " The kind of love you have for your friends can, in the same sense, be either platonic or sexual. The type of love you want to give your peers is sexual....people want to feel loved Paxton, in both senses. A normal person can not have simply one or the other, with out an equal balance they will die inside. Sexual love is what makes people feel best...at least physically, when you open up someone sexually, you make them vulnerable; it is the quickest way to get someone to fall in love with you. People are unreasonable creatures, in order to prevent themselves from getting hurt, or to avoid societies condemnation, they create there own reality. They will force themselves to love you, to create a platonic connection along with the physical one. Society Paxton condones platonic love and yet it shuns what naturally comes to us... " Again the cigarette, Yahto's lips went to it, but only for a little bit for he quickly snubbed it out. "So you see Paxton, the love you seek...is love the which makes others dependant upon you, you want to make people want you, you need to make them need you to survive. A hug against a toddler...is not love, its a sweet feeling...but nothing says I love you like your tongue down anothers throat."Had any normal and responsible parent heard the last line they may have choked on their own tongue as they tried not to loose it and rip Yahto from limb to limb. Of coarse, this was Naito's house and Yahto was in the own safety and comfort of his room. Whatever he wished to do, whatever he wished to say could be done or said here. There was to be nothing wrong with it. " Understand Paxton, do you understand what I have taught you today? I have already told you about sex. You should understand this concept of love. " The lovebird looked at Yahto long and hard. Part of him was still unsure about all of this, yet the other half understood Yahto's orders...or erm, advice as clear as crystal. Paxton knew what he had to do now... " It's not easy Paxton, to always get someone to love you...Sometimes it takes work, effort, patience...but in the end they will crack Paxton. People will give in to your wishes....they will surrender to you because it's so much easier to surrender than to fight. Understood? Yahto reached out and snapped up Paxton's head so that he could look the love bird in the eye. A head shake. Paxton understood, understood now about love, he understood what had to be done. This...it wasn't going to be easy. The possibility of failure was great, and the risks...high, but Paxton wouldn't have it any other way. He wanted love, and with Yahto's help he would get it.

You Are So Not Right In The Noggin! <3
A day in The House Hold of Paxton, Along With Some Explainings It was an early saturday morning, not really different than any other day, afterall for D-corp children school wasn't on what you would call a "normal" schudle. It was apparent by the manner of his dress that Paxton had just woken. Groggy eyed and not compeltly awake yet, the lovebird rolled along into the kitchen. Food was always the first thing that came to mind when he woke up.
Clothes were simply a second thought. This was probably why every morning he was yelled at by his mother to go back upstairs and put a shirt on and some decent pants. 'Yes for God's loving sake Paxton, pants...pants! Please, rather than those awful striped boxers of yours which always ended up slipping down lower than they should. Really now! You make our house guests quite uncomfortable.' It was always at these times that the breakfast guests assembled would either quitely choke on their cereal in a fit of giggles or a wave of embarasment.
Uncomfortable? Pish. Keanu didn't mind what the heck Paxton wore to breakfast...Keanu's family were the ones staying as guests. An those people...well, as far as Paxton was concered, the rest of Raja's household was filled with just as many freaks as Paxton's. And Paxton didn't care what freaks thought of him. So in essence...it really didn't matter how he choose to dress for breakfast. This conclusion in turn resulted in the same argument been him and Ma' every morning. Somethings never changed.
Systimatically Paxton stumbled over to the cupboard and grabbed for a box of granola. 'Now with new tropical flavor...banana, berry and mango~' He hadn't bothered putting pants on this morning. He would probably feel badly for it in a few minutes once he actually had some crunchy flakes of food in his mouth and his mind was up and running. Untill then, though, he would remain a zombie.
Thunk, thunk, thunk, heavy foot steps...the sound of rustling feathers as he sat down. "....Morning Kui...." Paxton drearily mumbled, his eyes squinted as he tried to look out the window. His companion smiled and nooded but didn't say anything. Paxton didn't expect him too, they hadn't ever gotten to be that close. He would have to fix that, he noted to himself as the tangy bits of cerial floated across his tastebuds reviving his sleep wrapped body.
The closer he got down to the bottom of the bowl the more he had a terrible inkling something was a miss. "Hey...Kui," he finally asked, "Where is everyone?"
"BANZAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!" A blonde came crashing through the back door. Amazing how life always supplies a answer to ones questions, except...sometimes its better if you don't ask to begin with. Regret, that was definatly Paxton was feeling right now. Naito burst through the door, hair a mess and whire wisk in hand. On her head was a metalic bowl. Elbows and knees were covered with oven mits and various other assorted objects which could be used as padding.
Naito seemed panicked as she slammed the door behind her. After several frantic tries, she locked. With a quick snap of her head, she looked about the room. It was as if she didn't see her Paxton or Kui at all.
..."Ma'? "
"Shh!" Snapped the blonde, holding up a hand for silence. "They can here you." Paxton gave a puzzled look to Kui, whom returned an equally curious gaze. "Quickly, put these on!" By this time Naito was under the sink throwing several pots and pans in the direction of the two boys at the table.
Paxton's pupils shrunk to the size of small pin pricks whilst a pan zoomed past his head. Oh god!-- Another large pot! He ducked, barely missing that one too. With in a snap Paxton had hid himself under the table...bowl of cereal still firmly clutched in his hand. The one thing he hadn't forgotten to save. Kui on the other hand he had left to fend for himself.
"Woman, what in gods good name are you--- " Chinck! The lovebird flinched at the metalic bang of pot on skull. Moments later Kui had joined him under the table. Grumpily the kitsune rubbed at a nice new red welt which was forming on his head. "...Could have warned me," he hissed at Paxton, to which the lovebird uncomfortably burried his head into the milk of his bowl. "Wyime sorrry!" Anyone else and Paxton would have done his best to save them from his mother. Paxton just hadn't made those ties of undying loyalty with Kui yet,...still it was stuipd, he should have thought for more than just himself. Inside he could feel a red heat rising to his cheeks.
Eventually the clanging and banging stopped and Paxton gained the courage to drag his head from the soggy ceral, which now covered his face, to peek open an eye. There was nothing to be heard...but it was more the fact that there was nothing to be seen which scared Paxton. Where had--
"...Damn, they got us surrounded!"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH," Paxton rolled out from underneath that table faster than a oversized stone rolling down the mountain towards a group of stranded girl scouts. Oh it had only been Ma'...yet what would you do if suddenly someone where whispering things in your ear? Really, did she just like...poof next to him or something? Kui scrambled out as well.
Naito didn't notice. With clenched teeth, she tighted her grip on the wire whisk in her fingers. "Sons of bitches...won't take me alive...." Her eyes grew to the nearly the size of saucers as pupils moved across the window. It were almost as if she were watching something outside.
As far as Paxton could tell, there was nothing outside the window. It was then and there Paxton finally came to a very important conclusion. "...Ma'," the lovebirds voice pipped up softy. "Your not...normal...are you?" 'Not normal', was certainly an understatment if there ever was one. Yet, it was a start in Paxton's mental thinking process a very needed one.
The woman didn't respond. She simply stared ahead. "...Like Nam I tell ya...NAM! ********!" Had she heared him? Or was this all a rouse to block out his question? Gently the lovebird smiled and scooted back towards the table. He touched his Ma's hand lightly. Ma'...it didn't matter if she answered his question her not. He knew it well enough.
Loyal to the end. That was the way it was with Paxton. Once you had his trust and love, well, it would be there forever. Ma' may not have been the nicest, or most caring person in the world. (Hell, she had almost tried to kill him a few times.) However, over the years she had certainly earned his loyalty and respect. "Don't worry...I won't let them get you," said Paxton as he sided up to his mother, ready to take on whatever invisible monsters filled her head.
'Humor people....' Yahto had told him, 'Tell them what they want to hear,' Terribly good advice Paxton had found it to be. Worked like a charm on Naito. "...Bwha, ha, ha with you as my ally they don't stand a chance." Said the woman. A slightly crazed grin came to Naito's face. "...espcially with a dragon on my side. Fools...they don't know whom they are dealing with."
"Erm...ah...yeah!" replied Paxton, truth be told he was slightly weirded out right now. Ma' was, uh, kind of creepy. Taking a deep breath, he closed his yes, 'I must learn to deal with all types, I must learn to deal with all types...' Oh god! He frooze dead cold as Naito grabbed his hand pinning it to the ground, "I can smell em, son, do you smell em..." The love bird wiggled a few of his fingers as he tried to untangle his hand from his mothers grasp. Under his breath he began chanting it now, like some sort of montra, "I must learn to deal with all types...I must learn to deal with all types..." Kui rolled his eyes, "Nut cases, absoltuly, both of you...you know what they say, 'The apple doesn't fall far from the tree,' " A sour glance from the love bird told Kui to 'shut up!'. Now really wasn't the time for snide comments. Dagers flew from Kui's eyes as he looked back over at Paxton,"A-- " the rant was interupted as the phone rang. The pair stood in silence for a moment.
"Well...you are closer." Paxton was first to break the silence.
The blue haired man's ears flattened." ...That's fine...I was going to get it ayway."
***
"A D-corp kid, in danger? I was supposed to have gotten this message four hours ago?" The lovebird looked nervously at the clock. Uhh..crap! Clunk! Paxton hung up the phone. Usually Paxton was able to keep a level head when it came to emergencies. However, he was late...four hours late! Apparently they had told the message to Ma'. Brown eyes darted over his shoulder...hmn, no wonder he had never gotten it. Gah! He didn't like being late.
Upstairs ran Paxton, he had to get ready to go! Lesse...clothes, clothes...ew, no. That shirt was dirty. Paxton paused as he held up a pair of tighty whities. His thought process was starting to kick in now. You know, Keanu had probably gotten the same message this morning. That's Raja and he weren't here of coarse...it explained it perfectly, and yet--"DAMN HIM! DAMN THAT CAT TO HELL!" Paxton found a surge of anger shoot through him, as he realized that his favorite fluffy compainon had left to join in on the adventure with out him. "Mrng!" Paxton snorted grumpily as he finished up with what he needed from his room and moved to run back down stairs. "Could have at least woken me up..."
The bird had one foot out the door, an one hand pulling his shirt on over his head before Naito caught him. "What are youd doing!?" Angery blue eye's flashed at her son, as she yanked him back inside, slamming and locking the door. "There's this girl--" Paxton panted, no time to explain, he had to do this fast, ...so late allready! " Her name is like Talia or something...she is in, like, trouble!" The feathered boy waved his arms frantically as if gesture alone could explain all of what really needed to be said. "Keanu's allready gone! I need to get going," Hand shot for the door again.
This time, Naito threw him against the wall. "No one leaves this house today," she barked at her son. What? Huh? Paxton, he...he didn't get what his mother was saying. She couldnt' possibly mean that he couldn't go. ...He needed to go! This girl was in trouble. He had been given...'The call'. It was a call which no boy could ignore, the call of heroism. "But Ma' ...PEOPLE NEED ME. KEANU IS ALLREADY THERE, IT'S NOT FAIR!" He said frantically, a whine ebbing along the edge of his voice.
--Oh dang, he almost had forgot Marigold...he would have to get her before he left. Lazy dragon, sleeping late into the morning while he was allready up.
"I'm afraid not," Naito replied calmly. Her voice was steady now, smooth, controled; In her eyes Paxton caught a gleam of irridecent purple. Oh no, the boy flinced, prepairing for the worse. There was...there would be no escape today. Tailia, or Talia whoever the heck she was, would simply have to be found with out him. Paxton's wings drooped as he realized this, an Naito feeling a pang of guilt tried to comfort her son. "Don't worry, this is for your own safety." She smiled.
Paxton kept his head down as he listened. ********. Yeah, right. Whatever. For his own safety? He nodded at his Ma's reply. Great...locked in his room all day by a maniac for a mother. Yep. Sure thing. He was safe here. God.
Hmn, would anyone wonder why he was missing?

A Friendly Visit ((Guild/ MSN RP with Paxton and Simon))Gabriela Juliana "Come here," said Paxton's ever annoyed mother, Naito. With a lick of her thumb, she reached over and began to wipe away a smudge of dirt on her son’s cheek. He had been out climbing over hedges and rolling around in the muck before she had snatched him away from his outdoor paradise, shoved him in the shower, and driven him here, to the Zepke residence.
The lovebird wearily sighed, not quite happy about his mothers fuss and mess to preen and groom him. "Why couldn't you just leave me at home?" He questioned for the 99th time that day. "...Because," began his mother, " like I said, mommy doesn't feel safe with you being alone, with all the weirdoes around." Not that Keanu or any of his other house guests could be called "weirdoes".
Truth be told, Naito was bitter at Raja. He, once again, had forced her into visit one of those dreaded and god awful psychological doctors that she hated so much, but he thought was necessary for her to visit. Out of spite she had refused to let Paxton stay at home and play with Keanu while Raja took her for her visit. "Besides, this place is much nicer, I've heard ...erm, wonderful things about Ms. Zepke and her son from Raja. I bet she's a fabulous baby sitter." An eye twitched slightly as she said this but continued on as if nothing had happened and rang the doorbell.
All it took was a sliver of the door to be opened and Naito was off running towards the car. "I really appreciate this..." she shouted over her shoulder to whom ever answered, "well have to do tea or some crap like that later as a thank you--kaybyebye...behave Paxton!" In a whirlwind she was off, leaving the confused lovebird standing blankly in front of the open door. Paxton looked up into the eyes of the one whom was letting him in. "H-hiiiii." Bree Zepke Bree blinked as something echoed through the house.. At the moment, the couch was overturned with Simon and herself on the other side of it. She was stradling the boy, pinning him down and trying to get some words through his thick skull. In return he was glaring stubbronly at her, teeth clenched... Though not strugling too much, it would have oly made her keep him there longer... and he knew that.
"You're damn lucky..." she hissed, slowly letting go of him and getting up.
"Watch your mouth..." he mocked her own words that constantly came his way whenever he took to sayign a cussword or two...
Bree stiffened, snarling a bit "Simon Jekel Zepke, this is NOT over." with that, she turned on a heel, giving a tiny fuss to her hair and clothes to get rid of the evidence of battle, then opening the door. Her ears perked as she watched some woman drive off as fast as possible... Then moved her gaze to the child she'd been left with. Rushing off like that reminded her far too much of what she'd do with Simon... Still, some fruity looking bird child couldn't be too much trouble, atleast thats what she assumed as she raised a brow at the pre-teen. "Hi..." Still slightly miffed from Simon she turned tail, heading back inside. "C'mon..." she muttered, moving back into the living room.
Simon, had wisely taken his leave to hide in his room, leaving the mess behind... Hoping that Bree might settle down some before he returned. Last thing he wanted to do was lose that trip to the beach next weekend...
Bree sighed, kneeling down next to the couch to hoist it back to it's rightful position with a loud thud. With that taken care of, she turned back to the boy with a fairly fake smile.. "Well. So... You hungry or something?" Why exactly did someone so old need a babysitter? She wouldn't leave Simon alone.. but that's because he might go kill someone or something of the sort. Gabriela Juliana Paxton starred nervously at Bree. He was half hoping that it would have been Bree's son whom answered the door...but then again he wasn't one to show disappointment. "Thank you," Paxton said with as much sincerity in his voice that he could muster. He was nervous, he didn't like this. Meeting people at the mall or outside was fine, but here, well, he felt as if he were intruding upon Ms. Zepke and her household.
The stepped through the entrance door, shutting it behind him. Here, he paused a few moments to fiddle with his clothes. With a sharp tug he pulled down his black shorts which had seemed to slip up his middle a bit. With a curious eye Paxton watched as Bree wandered down the hallway.
Paxton hadn't met many parents before, but all the ones he had met were rather peculiar. Bree didn't seem that odd though, sure she had ears and a tail...but who didn't these days, eh? Actually Ms. Zepke was a rather pretty woman. She seemed to have a rather special charm about her, even if she currently seemed irritated. Huh…did people ever think of him as attractive? It was a passing thought…
The lovebird stared wide eyed as Bree lifted the couch flipping it back as if it were nothing. For a few moments he stood their dumbfounded, not really hearing anything she said. At length though, speech returned to his wide open trap. " Gosh dang! ...I had no idea someone so pretty could be so strong too. Ehehehe," Paxton laughed nervously. It was true, what he said, that is. He was starting to enter that age where a boy prides himself on how physically strong he was. You know, whom could beat up whom, the...'I'm stronger than you are,' sort of pettiness.
So anything that required using some muscle got Paxton's attention, if only for a little bit. The rest of the time his head was filled with thoughts of trying to get into someone’s pants. . It seemed an odd thing to do, why would Paxton want to get into someone else’s pants? Whatever though, Yahto had said that people would love him if he did. More than anything Paxton wanted to be loved and liked, so he did as he was taught. Bree Zepke "Hm?" Bree blinked, a bit taken back by the comment. She paused to glance over her arms, before giving a smirk and shrugging. "Yea.. Kinda happens to you when you climb through ancient booby-trapped tombs..." she grinned, more than happy to brag about such things... She'd always seemed to take more value in the thing smen did. Being the strongest, the best, geting in peoples pants... and then trying to get back out of them. Commitment had never been her thing. The only thing feminine about her was her body... Which she seemed to primp up to it's fullest potential. Sure she could have nicer hair or something minor like that.. but short and simple was the best for her adventures.
Her tail gave a tiny sway as she seemed to relax some. Compliments were always good for ebbing away anger. "I'm sorry Simon.. got in trouble just shortly before you got here, he's in his room... So you hungry or what? We've got soda and all that good stuff.." she gave a wave of her hand, peeking her head into the kitchen. Gabriela Juliana Paxton hadn't thought his comment was out of place or odd. Bree seemed a bit taken aback by it, and the lovebird was suddenly cursing himself for it. No...wait...she was...happy?
The emotion wasn't happiness but it was enough to keep the bird brain from panicking. Hmn, so he had said the right thing. Of course, he had. People liked to be complimented. It was natural thing. The love bird still felt some sense of distance or perhaps apathy from the woman in front of him, but that would change. He wanted it to change. Cause really, if Simon wasn't going to be around for the afternoon, he had figure out some way to make Bree into his new companion.
"An adventure? " Said Paxton rather curiously as Bree regaled him with a brief note about her job. "How...exotic," the boy paused. Now, what was that line he was supposed to follow up with? ..."Just like you." Paxton finished off with a smirk. Perfect. He had said and repeated that line perfectly for this situation, even playing out the gestures and facials to a "T".
"...And no thanks but no thanks." He smiled also remembering to take manners into play. "...I'm not in the ...uh, mood for food." Besides, what ever this woman had in her kitchen would probably not be to his liking. Simon, her son, he was a shark wasn't he? This meant the fridge was filled with lots of meat. He doubted he would find much fresh fruit or vegetables. Bree Zepke "Yea used to do them all the time... Ever since i was your age." Bree frowned some upon hearing herself, crap she sounded old... Like.. oena those old men that sat around talking bout the good ol days. "'Course.. That was only what, 10 years ago?" she quickly added in, immediatly feeling better about her age. She was only 21 or so afterall... Just now legally able to drink, as though that had ever stopped her. Then again, Bree wasn't a fan of drinking... It dulled everythign far too much.
She quickly brushed away her wandeirng thoughts as he whipped out a rather old line. She smirked some, moving back over to him. "Well, arn't you the smooth talker...?" She gave a ruffle of the boys hair, not thinking much of his actions as of yet. "And alright.. Tell me if you get hungry, kay?" she shrugged, setting herself on the couch. She didn't have any fancy cable... but maybe there'd be something on that the boy would enjoy? Bah. Lil kids were easier... Just read em a book and...
Well actually, Etain had been hell for Bree. So scratch that.
All children were a pain...
"So, anything you wanna do? TV.. books..." she shrugged, not having much around the house to do. Gabriela Juliana Wow, his age? Ms. Zepke was quickly turning into one of the more interesting adults...or for that fact, people he had ever met. Off and away adventuring at his age? It was hard to imagine, but certainly an amazing, not to mention a** kicking accomplishment. Heh, here he was, now what 12, hadn't really been away from home a day in his life.
The bird gave a soft smile and braced himself as Bree's fingers slipped through his gold and pink hair. Attention, oh how he loved it. An this was the good kind too, or so he was told, physical gratification was always best. "Just telling the truth," Paxton mumbled sheepishly as she moved away. What? The fun was already over? No, no the nice touching had ended so soon!
Determined to gain more affection, Paxton patiently followed Bree over to the couch. Unlike most people whom respect personal space, and take a seat at the opposite end of the couch, Paxton choose a spot right up and close to Bree. "Why don't you tell me about some of the adventures you've had?" with a smooth motion Paxton shifted a few strand of wild hair back in place. "I"m sure a ...experienced woman such as yourself has a lot she can ...teach--erm, I mean share with me." He had been pressing himself closer to Bree, yet, the little mix up of words had shaken his confidence and so he pulled back. Not like it made a difference, he was still nice and cozy with the woman. Bree Zepke Bree shifted some, oh she liked closeness as well herself... but... She was babysitting this one for pete's sake. Probably too young or something like that. Tsh. People and their morals.
Shrugging it off for the moment, she let him stay there, putting her arms behind her head and leaning back. "Heh, Simon never wants to hear my stories. So... Let's see, which one is there?" she pondered aloud tryign to think of a good adventure that would inpress the boy. "Oh yes, this one was a nasty trap... Really clever cheif that set this one up. Okay, so i was heading into some ruin of some sort, it was dark, the occassional poison dart would fly past my head here and there... Typical stuff, when all of a sudden i was standing on ice!" She laughed slightly, obviously getting into the story "It was the middle of july, and hot as heck, i still don't know how that was there. But before i knew it i was on my a** and sliding into a pit full of snakes and spikes." She took a moment to hike her already short skirt up another inch, showing off a array of roundish scars covering her right upper thigh. "That's where i got all these, but the problem was is he put spikes and snakes in... All i had to do was use the spikes to kill the snakes, and the snakes to cushion the spikes." She nodded some, as though that should have been common knowlage. "So in the end, i ende dup with the flaming ruby of Maba somethin or other... Kinda cheap though, it doesn't really have any flames at all." Gabriela Juliana Attentively Paxton listened to Bree's story. If you were going to ask someone to tell you something, well then, you better listen. Besides, people liked when you listened to them. It made them feel important, almost special. Kind of like when you complimented them. Besides, Bree's story was more than interesting enough to have the love bird craning his head in for more of it's delectable goodness.
The boy was flabbergasted by the end of Bree's tail. "An your son, doesn't ever want to listen to you?" Big brown eyes leaned down and mentally traced over the scars on her legs before his actual fingers reached out to touch the flesh. He didn't mean for it to be inappropriate or anything really. It was just his young nature getting the better of him with curiosity. Slowly green little fingers traced over the marred flesh around Bree's legs. Such an anomaly on otherwise such a perfect person...
"I must say..." he looked up, "that you are quite the woman." the child was spellbound with Bree. The lady was truly exotic, in more than one sense, and it kept Paxton’s attention wrapped. So wrapped in fact that he didn't notice as his hand slipped down in between Bree's legs. It was nothing really when you thought about it, but with the way Paxton had said his last statement, miscommunication and chaos was bound to ensue. Bree Zepke Bree seemed rather happy as to how interested the boy seemed, though that was broken as she gulped some at his wandeirng hands. She only breifly wondered what she should do before she decided on something. He was a boy, nearly a teenager... Who really gave a crap about age anyways? Certiantly not her. So why should she hold back on him?
Shrugging it off, and deciding to have alittle fun wit hthe boy wether it lead anywhere or not, she leaned ever so slightly. Glancing at where his hand was trying to go curiously. "What are you impling, hm?" she smirked, moving her arms out from behind her head. Placing one on the arm of the sofa, and the other was free to brush a few strands of hair from the boy's face, making sure they wouldn't block the view of his expression. Gabriela Juliana Paxton: Implying? Huh, he wasn't ....oh. Slowly Paxton's eyes moved down, as he became aware of just how dangerously close is hand had gotten. An now she was leaning in, great, just great. Again, Paxton's nerves broke loose. He had managed to get his conscious calm and collected earlier when he was all a twitter. But now...well, his heart was beating so fast that he didn't think he could calm himself down again, even if he wanted too. Which he did. He really did.
Beneath the red color of his face, his cheeks burned. Thankfully...or was it rather unfortunately, the red hid the mad blush which swept across him as hand slid up and pushed his hair away from his eyes. Great, what was he supposed to do now? All this talk, the words, the motions...they were simply that and nothing more. He hadn't meant for things to turn into what they were currently. Now he had nothing to back himself up with. Paxton may have been catching on how to talk the talk...but when it came to it, he couldn't walk the walk.
"I erm...I..uh..." He floundered desperately, in his head rushed a million things to say. Among them was the voice of common reason which told him to scream, 'NOTHING!'. Yet, common reason is boring...what came out instead was one line which had engraved itself into Paxton's mind. He had been practicing this one line for days in the bathroom, or something like it...making it perfect for the day he would actually use it. Too bad today was the day he would, and it wouldn't be perfect either. Paxton closed his eyes and blurted out, "...I'M SAYING THAT WE SHOULD FOOL AROND!" ....He pulled back slightly away from Bree, clapping his hands over his mouth. Oh god, had he really said that aloud? Bree Zepke Bree watched the boy practically start squirming under her stare, as she waited patiently... Not that she expected it to go anywhere. Honestly, she was used to young boys "talking the talk" then running off when it came down to it. Perhaps giving in was a bit of her own moral lesson for such boys.
Bree almost died laughing when he yelled that, holding back such laughter and glancing back to see if Simon would pop out to yell at them. Silly boy.. so squimish. "Alright then." she chuckled some, finding the whole thing cute in a way. To Bree physical things were nothing more than playing a board game. Anyone that wanted to was fair game... And Bree was the master of this game. "You're cute, so I'm game... Just... don't tell your mom, kay?" Bree grinned at the boy, doubting she would get paid if his mother found out. That never did go over well...
"Perhaps we should start out a bit slower, ey?" carefully she moved his hand away from it's position between her legs, crossing them after. Gabriela Juliana Paxton gulped some waiting to see what Bree would do in reply. She...she defiantly wasn't like most adults. Oh dear, what had he gotten himself into now? He...he hadn't even had his first kiss yet, let alone even been this close to anyone whom seemed to have the same altered motives as he did. However, unlike Paxton, Bree was being 100% dead serious, as where he had only been 30% or so. Oh well, thirty percent was defiantly enough to keep Paxton more curious than afraid. Even if this was...wrong. Yes, the boy did have some sense of morals, at least he knew what he had said an the way he had been acting weren't right. He also knew that how Bree was acting wasn't quite right either. The note of 'Just...don't tell your mom' set that clear in the boys mind.
Should he continue with this? It did seem like...a major decision. Perhaps he wasn't quite old for such things?
Nonsense, ah there it was, the fool hardy kid in him. That undeveloped part of him, which said, "Take risks...break the rules...come on you only live once. Besides, you've been bragging forever...all talk and now show, now's your chance to prove what you've learned...to actually back up your claims. Come on, ya chicken?" Outwardly Paxton frowned, 'Of coarse I'm not chicken...I'm a lovebird!'
Ah, yes, that's right, he was a lovebird. An as such he should...love? That was what he truly wanted, wasn't it? To be able to learn how to make people love him and love them in return. Physical touch was the easiest way to show that you cared... An adult would laugh at such an ideas, but Paxton was no adult, his thinking process wasn't all quite there and assembled yet. An so he slowly took a breath, "Yes, your...quite right." Trembling he moved his hand from Bree, "...Um? Makeout?" Was that how it usually started? Bree Zepke This was all too fun for the woman. Normally the kids backed out by now... And Bree was more than curious to see just how far they could get. Smirking, she leaned in, cupping his chin gently with one hand and tilting his face to meet hers. "I beleive that's what it's called." She whispered against his lips before gently placing her lips on his... She figured she'd go slow, for his sake, that way he could back out whenever he wanted. But until then... why not have fun?
Simon did hear a yell of some sort, looking up from his gorey comic book he'd snuck in. He had recently found a new favorite comic... One that had an evil shark mutant man as the main villian. He stared at the door with a frown.. Should he go out? A deabatable issue... He wasn't a big fan of new people, but then he was a fan of showing off to new people... but then Bree was mad at him and if he went out he was liable to respark that anger. So.. the not going out idea won over, she'd probably come get him later anyways, telling him to come socilize or something. Gabriela Juliana Wow, Ms. Zepke was getting close...awful...close and...wa-wa...were her lips on him? An actual kiss? Paxton kept his eyes open as Bree pressed her lips to him. So this was a kiss, his first kiss...from a woman almost twice his age. It felt, surprisingly ...fantastic. Inside his tummy came that fluttery feeling, the kind where people said they had butterflies in their stomach. Yet, Paxton never really thought that having actual butterflies in your stomach would feel that way. You wouldn't be able to feel anything really, stomach acid would get to 'em first.
So now what? Paxton had his lips against hers. Close his eyes, that was the first thing he did, after that the rest came...with out thought. Imagination got the best of him, and for a moment he thought he felt her tongue inside his mouth. In all reality, he hadn't, yet...the idea enticed him to return the favor. Ever so carefully Paxton slid out his tongue pressing it between Bree's lips he found his way into her moth. Currently in his mind was nothing, everything was a kind of wonderful hazy delight. A first kiss is kind of like a first high...it makes one's body go crazy, and Paxton? Well, needless to say the boy was thriving off it. He didn't even give thought about the consequences of his action, leading him farther and farther down a unknown path, no did he really stop and bother to think of what would happen if they were caught.
The house was dead quiet, why should he? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Conveniant fade to black~ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gabriela Juliana Paxton fell back as he made the final struggle with his pants. His tiny chest rose and fell with his ever going panting. Was he ever going to breath normally again?....After what he had just gone through he doubted it. The lovebird cast a side long glance over at Bree whom was lounging on the couch. She didn't have much on...then agian, he didn't either. The boy reached for his shirt, but fell a couple feet short from actually reaching it. Laze took over and after that and he fell back onto the couch. He was simply to exausted to do anything else besides lay there.
Paxton closed his eyes and his head realed with moments of the previous frenzy. Hands arms, panting....oh but it hadn't been all passionate physical activity. It had also been a mental sweat. The knowledge he had gained through his play with Bree was probably more valuble than any lesson some older man could tell him about. It had been awkward, no doubt...even slightly odd...she said he wolud get better with time though. He certainly hoped Bree was right. Yes, of coarse she was right. She had been right about everything up till now, helpfull too...he had a sense of trust for Bree, a newfound feeling of loyalty to the woman. Bree Zepke Bree let out a relaxed sigh, she had taken the time to shove her skirt and shirt back on, though the panties and bra that were supposed to go underneith were still strewn about the place. They didn't matter for the moment... Right now it was time to relax and dwell on that wonderful feeling of satisfaction. She had awhile ago, almost completely forgotten about the other dwellers of the house, only remembering enough to keep her voice monitored and not scream or something of the sort. She paused to crack an eye open and glance at the boy.. he seemed happy, probably not her type.. but she was more than pleased to have helped him along in his journey to manhood. Heck, it seemed to be a big story amongst men to say they lost it to their babysitter... And now she had given this fine young prodigy bragging rights.
Simon, meanwhile, was not near as happy. He sat frozen on his bed, staring at the closed door.... He'd heard things. Things he'd heard before.. but now... Those things had meaning. He knew EXACTLY what that meant.... But it was over now... He had long ago simply assumed Axel or Michael or one of those others had wandered over before Paxton got there. His stomach turned, but.. atleast it was over now. And the good news? Bree would not be mad at him. Positive thoughts. Positive thoughts. Positive thoughts... With a gulp, he edged off his bed, slowly cracking open the door. Before fully stepping out he decided to yell something at complete random, hoping to spurt the woman to dress if need be. "MOM. WHERE'S THE... CHEESE...?" Okay so he never ate cheese, but that had been the only thing to come to his brain. He waited a moment, then stepped on out... What he found was not at all what he expected. He vaugly reconized Paxton from meeting him at the sleepover... But... He shouldn' t have been... like that.... No. Nonono. "W...Where's... Axel? Michael?"
Bree blinked, Cheese? why the hell would he want cheese... Oh right.. "S'in the fridge." She called back, where else would cheese be? Oh well, no need not to entertain him. She watched as he slowly came in, then asked about axel and michael... "They're.. not here..." she asked a bit confused, "Just Paxton. No one else was suposed to come here today." It seemed to go right over her head that the idea of someone younger than himself sleeping with her would actually bother than him. Gabriela Juliana The boy frooze as he heard another human voice echo throughout the house. At that moment the lovebird could have smacked himself silly, his right palm reached up and smacked himself in his forehead. Of coarse! How could he forget? Simon. The shark boy had been here the entire time, only breifly had the thought crossed his mind when he had entered the abode. Yet, the moment he and Bree had started getting on better terms with eachother, the thought of Simon or anyone else whom lived in the house left that feathered brain of his. Cheese, cheese?! Paxton quickly reached for his shirt...but it was too late Simon was out in view, and the look the young shark boy was giving him was not the most favorable ever.
With a feeble turn Paxton raised his hand and waved it meekly to Simon. " ....Hello Simon. Long time no see, eh? " They hadn't talked much at the sleepover, so Paxton didn't know the boy very well. However, the impression that Paxton got of Simon was that the boy had a ...more or less sour disposition on life. Oh god---thoughts came flooding back, bad thoughts, thoughts not related to the warm and melting goodness he had been experiencing seconds ago. These thoughts, they were ones of terror, the ones where the voices in his head screamed, "THIS ISN'T RIGHT! SHE'S ALMOST TWICE YOUR AGE." Did Simon ..know what his mother had doing with him? The boy held back a peep of terror and instead gulped, it kept his face looking as if nothing were wrong. After all, just as he had wanted Bree to like him, he wanted her son to as well...
What if Simon would hate him for this? The thought stabbed the lovebird in his ever bleeding heart. Bree Zepke Simon simply stared, mouth slithyl ajar showing off his mass of fanged teeth. Surely not a welcoming look. His eyes darted between the two... Slowly the gears had been turning, seeming to only crush through the metaphorical monkey wrenches he tried to stop them with. Nothing stopped his brain from reaching that horrendous conclusion... Bree had, indeed, slept with someone younger than he... He even remembered when this guy was a kid... Just a harmless little kid. That wonderful time before Bree had whipped out the birds and the bees.
Bree sighed some, watchign the little timebomb in her son tick down. Tick... Tick... "Simon..." She started, hoping to catch him before he went off.
It was too late. The bomb went off, Simon raising his voice to an unneeded pitch. "What the HELL?!" was all he had managed to think of during that long awkward pause. "You... and ... That's SICK. YOU'RE SICK. YOU TOO. ******** sonnova..." Sure the rant was mostly to ease his own insecurities with the issue, but it certiantly wasn't reassuring to Paxton.
Bree growled a bit, sitting up. She wasn't about to allow Simon to put down the poor boy... He hadn't seemed like one to take such things. So, she resorted to being as immature as SImon was being. "You're just jelaous cause he got a girl before you could." Gabriela Juliana The tension was thick enough to suffocate the poor lovebird. This situation, it was getting stickier by the minute....much like the back of his legs the summer heat was god awful. Oh yes. Simon was mad. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure this one out. If facials hadn't said it, the "What the HELL?!" clearly did. The lovebird shrunk back against the couch. He couldn't escape quick enough. Infact, he couldn't escape at all. Naito wasn't back yet, even if he wanted to leave he couldn't. Oh what too do, what to do?! He wasn't good with handeling angery people. He...he hadn't really had to deal with it, hence he didn't know how to. Sure, their was that one time where Laial attacked him, but that was a physical scuffle. Simon did look like he was about ready to jump Paxton and rip out his throat and his mothers, however, the young bird had a feeling that his 'friend' would refrain from such a thing. Damn. This would be easier to deal with if Simon did want a physical scuffel. Sure, Paxton would get the holy heck beaten out of him, but at least Simon would have his piece then and there. Words were awkward and tricky things to use, Paxton wanted to make peice, but he was going to have to do this carefully. Love, that was supposed to be how he was supposed to get people to like him, physical wooing, a sliver tongue and all that nonsence, but if Simon was reacting like this to Bree and him, well, showing the boy affection would not be the good way to go.
With a quick slip, Paxton slunk to the floor. The feathers on his head twitched slightly as Bree mentioned the jeleous part. Oh...no, not good. With more incentive to move faster, Paxton picked up his shirt and quickly stood up. He had no idea where he was going but--" Erm, I'll just be hitting up the---bathroom." With a bow of his head the boy made his way out of the room. No, no, he didn't want to have to deal with this. That was one thing Paxton hadn't learned, responsiblity. Instead of taking care of the problem like an adult, he ran like a child. Bree Zepke Simon blinked at the comback... That was right... Paxton was.. better than him at something? His expression completely changed, to one of actual horror rather than being angry or discusted. Simon had a weakspot for being.. well. Manly. And there was nothing more manly than losing your Virginity, atleast thats how it seemed to go on with the other boys. "I..." he stumbled.
Bree had him. She won... It gave her an odd sense of pride, as it seemed to always be a fight with the boy... A won battle in the war was always welcomed. She knew exactly how to get under simon's thick skin... "Very manly. Paxton, that is."
Simon cringed, damn she-witch.. reading his mind or whatever she did. He scoffed at Paxton as he ran off, his pride deflating as the boy that was so much 'manlier' than he was practically running in fear. "I.. Y..you!" he stumbled, looking even mor eupset by this new information. "Whatever." he finally spat, glaring at the bathroom door as it closed. "I.. I'm getting that cheese."

Happily Ever After ((MSN RP with PAxton and Keanu)) [Beware of typoes, and quick RP to get something done.]Paxton It was an odd manner to be seated on a couch. Well, not really steated, more like Paxton was splaying himself over the top of the couch. Feet dangled inches above the floor on the back side, while his chest was proped up upon a cushion infront and cupped hands supported his head. Click...click...fingers pressed the remote, flipping through the different channels. Ah~ What was with programmming these days, 99 channels and nothing on. Irritated the lovebird flipped the loud and annoying box off. With a sigh his brown eyes wandered off into space, on a day like this it was just best to day dream--or distraction provided. Smirk slipping across his face Paxton watched as a certain light blonde haired winnged figure walked queitly past him and towards the kitchen. Ah Tsukasa-chan...how cute was he? It only struck him as moments later that he had just had a really odd thought. Were you supposed to be thinking that suff about boys. Surely--he had heard of it, and yeah he was even a bit curious, but still he was so young and just starting off into this relationship thing, a bit unstead. Then again, what did it matter boy or girl if someone was cute. They couldn't help the gender they had been born with, right? Oh hey! It was Tomonori-san...smirk became more apparent as he watched the blonde immediatly stop in his tracks. Five, four, three two...bingo the soft red blush on Tuskasa's cheeks begin to appear. Ah! He couldn't understand it anymore, inwardly the boy was now quite filled with fuzzy feelings, and pink bubbles, an kittens and--LOVE WAS JUST SO CUUUUUUTE! In a dither, Paxton brought his hands higher up along his face, quite forgetting that his elbows, which were supporting him would now be out of action and--Thud. The lovebird slipped and rolled off down the couch. Ops...the fall hadn't hurt Paxton, but it certainly did catch the attention of the other two. A couple of side glances and some ushering from Tomonori and they were gone. Drats! Paxton hand't meant to break the moment now. With a sigh, the boy brought his legs up underhim and leaned back against the couch sitting criss cross applesauce. For a moment he was silent, thinking...but thoughts were revealed soon enough as he spoke quite loudly, "I wonder if they'll ever bone each other---" such a crude little boy. Keanu Another boring day in the life of- alright, so it wasn't so boring. Keanu was smirking as he wandered through the house. It was getting cooler, which meant more time outside without the sun shining. With snow, because if it was in his name... Obviously it was a good thing for him. Ah yes, a good day indeed. Ymir was off napping, and the day was young. Which meant fun in the house. Or around it. He'd need Paxton for that though. The boy peeked around the corner hoping to spot the rather familiar bird moving along, but was met with emptiness. Where was everyones favourite lovebird at today? He hadn't seen him since breakfast, which didn't bode well for whatever adventure Keanu was dreaming up in his head durring the search. Finally there was that bright blond(and pink) hair showing over the top of a couch. Along with a quick statement that left Keanu rather bewildered. "..Bone each other? Throwing skeletons at each other?" The thought escaped Keanu's mouth before he even realized he was talking. Still, he was curious, what exactly had his best friend just meant? Paxton Hmmn? Feathery ears twitched as the sound of Keanu's voice reached Paxton's ears, ah so his big fluffy friend had finally decided to come find him. Paxton had been waiting for it, usually in the afternoon's Keanu would come to find him. Sooner or later it didn't matter, but the cat had a nasty habit of suddenly surprising the lovebird by dragging him off to go have these crazy stunts he called 'adventures'--Hey, wait just a minute. Had he heard right? Did Keanu just seriously say that? 'Throwing skeletons at each other?' No way could his friend be serious, and is if to prove this fact Paxton stood up from the couch and walked over to Keanu. Placing his hands upon the boy's shoulders, "No way were you serious about that..." brown eyes looked dead on at crystal clear blue ones. ..."Right Keanu?" Quite quickly the lovebird was taken a back. Oh dear lord Keanu hadn't gotten the talk? No, no maybe if Paxton re-phrased the stamtent. "You know, I said I wonder if they--" he nodded back, "will ever...like sleep with each other." Ah yes, that was a good way to phrase things. Satisfied that he would get the reply he wanted Paxton let go and slumped back onto the couch and with a snap of his boxers and a little fixing of his shirt made himself comfortable. Case, closed. Keanu He seriously didn't know. The term didn't make sense, and as his friends hands fell on his shoulders he simply blinked. "But, I was seriously." And he had a completely straight face as he said it. What was so wrong with not knowing what the term meant? It wasn't something so important, it couldn't be. Then there was the rephrasing. So that was what it meant, that made a lot more sense. "Oh, what's so special about that? I sleep with Ymir every night." He replied, smiling happily. Of course the fact that bone and sleep somehow now meant the same thing made no sense, but having a good friend to sleep with at night was fun. He couldn't imagine not having his best friend right there every night. It just wouldn't have been the same anymore. "It's a good thing that people can be friends." Paxton Ah yes, all was right in the world and--what the ********?! The lovebird was up so fast that he could have made even Sarah look like a slow poke. Paxton didn't know why he felt so disturbed about this, but he just did. His friend, his best 'human' friend in the whole wide world was...naieve. "Oh...my....god...." The words came out slow one after the other, and it sounded rather, fruity, but anything else just would not have been able to express his amazment. Then agian, maybe he was just weirded out as his mind was on one track and when Keanu had mentioned something about him and Yimir in the same bed---eeh, no Paxton wasn't going to go there right now. There was only one thing to do---and that was corrupt this inocence. Yep, n** it in the bud. Besides...keeping innocent as you got older could be dangerous. "Keanu..." Paxton sat up and took his friend by the hand tugging him along the hallway and up the stiars. "Were going to go visit Yahto." Keanu The sudden reaction from his friend only made things all the mroe confusing. What was this? Some odd joke he just didn't know the ending too? Maybe it was part of some game Paxton had come up with, though it was an odd one if it was. Then the boy had snagged his hand while proclaiming it was time to visit Yahto. The guy with dark blue hair, he'd seen him before. Paxton had once said he was a good person, something about the reason why he had changed from being afraid of him. Ah yes, he'd been meaning to talk to this person. But what did it have to do with the question? "Alright, but what's this got to do with sleeping with someone?" He asked dumbly as he followed along still as clueless as ever. Soemtimes, as much as Paxton was his best friend, that bird made no sense. And for that Keanu had only to say... how on earth were they going to go out on an adventure now? Paxton "Sush, sush!" The lovebird waved a hand as he bannged on the big door now infront of him. "Oie! Yahto--Open up..." silence fell over him as a dangerous green eye peered from behind a crack "...Please?" Paxton said, his voice with a slight beg to it. "Keanu he---well he doensn't know what sleeping with someone is!" The look on the lovebirds face must have told this was urget for Yahto opened the door and let the two in. Shirtless as usual, with Yahto as a mentor it was easy to see where Paxton's lack of clothes from. In a whisper the blue haired male turned and gave the second child a look, "Why not tell him yourself..." lids lingered before flickering to Paxton. "I told you well enough...no?" At this the colorfull boy shifted and let out a slight cough to clear his throat. "I know but...only you could do it right." It was a lame excuse, but in a sense it was true. Afterall Paxton didn't want to send Keanu screaming now, did he? Keeping a grip on Keanu Paxton pushed him down onto one edge of the bed while he walked over and took another. Looking between the two, it became aparent that Yahto's lesson today would be given while he was standing...and smoking no less. Lighting up, the dark man turned to give his full attention to the one Paxton seemed so worried about. Silly boy...he still had so much--ah, "Sex." It was the first word from his mouth, and damned weather Keanu knew what it was or not, Yahto said it with power and a twinge of malice, hint of lust plaugging the outside edges. "The most sacred and physical form of emotion..." Keanu ...Maybe Keanu hadn't wanted to know what the difference between sleeping together and SLEEPING together was, but even if he hadn't. Well he knew now. The once perky little ears had dropped in a form of awe and shock as the man continued to speak. He was learning a lot, a lot that had never occured to him. Something that transformed the statement of 'I sleep with ---' into something that made him just a little uneasy. Alright, more than that, but he'd never admit it aloud. Thankfully, just as Keanu was beginning to think he'd explode from hearing too much about a subject that would have had most people blushing by then, the speech stopped. This entire speech was about love in his opinion, just another form of love. Yes, that was it, classify it as that. It wasn't as important as loving someone emotionally, but apparently this came with that whole deal. It was very seperate from being a hero though, and yet... not. But there was one question that was nagging him, the one that meant if it was connected or not. Which meant it was time for the classic blurting out again, the thing that would likely make Paxton remain concerned for his friends sanity. "So is that what they mean by happily ever after?"

Journal Entry From Paxton
10/27
So, like, here's the deal. Life has been kind of crazy of late. Some things happy, some of them un-happy. I don't know how to put it journal. . . life is simply beautiful in the strangest of ways.
I guess I should officially write it down here that I lost my virginity. It happened quite some time ago. But it's important to document these sort of things, give them physical proof. I'm not going to write down in here exactly who it was though. I think, she might get in a quite a bit of trouble if Ma' were to find out. (Which she almost did...that doctors visit for my shots brought her far to close for the truth).
Yes, she still doesn't know about it. Very few people do. Let's see... Keanu, my professor Mr. Barkhelm, and now you. However, for sanities reasons and also the fact that I find the that dark skinned devil offensive (reading my mind like that...the nerve! Magic teacher or not, he has no permission to get into my thoughts) I'll count only you and Keanu as the ones to know.
Oh. . . Yahto, can't forget Yahto. With out Yahto's help I would be where I was the last time I wrote in you, a bitter feathered child. I guess its fair to say he made me what I am today. Can one person really change your entire self?
I remember when I first started trying out what he told me to do, it was awkward and felt inappropriate at times, especially the first time. But since then I've found my way. I like it. I really do, "journal", it makes me smile to see others happy.
Saying this, I suppose here would be a good place to talk about some of the not so good topics I must deal with. It's so hard to write about unhappy things. I guess you could call it a flaw of mine. I have a hard time dealing with the unpleasant.
I don't handle emergences well, I don't handle death well. I bring up death of course because of Mr. Rickery. There were some people at D-corp who brought him down. I don't want to go into it but, it just doesn't seem right. I can't help but feel that I have an un-paid debt hanging over my head now.
I didn't know Mr. Rickery personally but he created me. Right? He gave me life, and so I owe mine to him. Does it seem strange I talk so. . . freely about life and creation? I dunno, the idea that I was made for...erm, whatever it was I was made for doesn't bother me. I have a loving ma', friends, lovers I'm alive. Who cares how it happened. I'm alive and I'm going to enjoy it, damn it.
Anyway enough of that...it makes me feel uncomfortable to write about it, let alone talk. Seesh. Call me an ostrich if I stick my head in the sand on this one. I call myself, "smart".
Later, yo.

Scouts Honor [A PD between Paxton and Earako] Already Paxton could feel himself drifting off to sleep. With a groan the boy looked at the clock on the wall. ...Five...ONLY FIVE MINUTES?! Oh god. With a sigh the love bird slammed his head back into his desk and listened to the teacher droan on about the "glories of the past", a.k.a history.
...Night classes were a bad bet. But that's what happened when your parents signed you up for things at the last minute.
It wasn't as if the teacher was bad, heck, she was practically a fox...if only she weren't so--it just had to be the subject. With a sigh and frown the lovebird turned over and looked over at his neighbor.
Oh--where had his mind been since the beginning of class? He had totally missed the bat girl next to him. Strange... she had been in two of his classes right now. She was rather pretty...even when it looked as if she were about to doze--"Hey--" Paxton reached over and softly nudged her just as Madeline shot a look to the back of the class where they were seated.
"Close call there..." "Mmm?" Behind her dark glasses, Earako blinked, sitting back up in the chair that she had started to slide out of. Slipping her fingers up under the lenses, she rubbed her eyes, trying to will herself back into awareness. Usually, she was more alert at night. But this was a book class. She hated book classes.
A bit more aware now, she turned to see who had saved her from drifting off, and offered the brightly coloured bird a small smile. She knew him, sort of, even if her foggy mind couldn't quite remember his name. Something with a P.
"Sorry." She murmured, her soft whispering voice hushed further in respect for the fact that they weren't supposed to be talking. Or sleeping. Or doing anything that might actually make the time pass a little faster. "This is a little..."
She trailed off. It wouldn't be very nice to call the teacher boring."Mmn, I know. Dull." The skinny near teenage boy replied, with over zealous grin. If the truth was the truth, why try to deny it? What was the good in pretending things were what they weren't? "Paxton," he whispered, before extending out a brightly feathered hands of greeting. It wasn't that Paxton was into formal greetings or anything, the boy was simply doing what felt right to him. Besides, you could hardly call his gesture formal, it was a big sloppy handshake which followed, something to break the ice, not something to introduce each other. Though...it would be rather nice to finally remember her name.
With a glance back up front of the room, he saw once again Ms. Crossette had busied herself trying to fix the projector. Ah, he had to love technology for that one, always---"Forgive me class," piped up the petite teacher, looking quite perplexed as how to remedy the situation. "Pleaze stay here for a moment...I'm going to find someone to fix zis." ---always seemed to provide the most opportune of times.
Now. It wasn't usually like Paxton to suggest what he was about to....it was more Keanu or somebody else’s thing, but...he didn't see how it could hurt. An poor, poor, Earako looked like she could use something to brighten up her night. "Say--" the lovebird mumbled as he twisted in his seat, " You look like a lady who desperately needs a little fun in her life..." with a ruffle of his feathers he swung back around facing the beautiful girl next to him with the most charming smile he could manage. "How would you like to be adventurous?"
An unusual offer, even for Paxton, but, alas, he hated watching others having to suffer.
"I promise no trouble...scouts honor." Earako giggled at the boy's words, the sort of shocked and amused giggle that came from hearing that could be considered not... entirely... appropriate. It wasn't nice to talk bad about the teachers. Of course, her Da' did it all the time, so maybe it was ok if Paxton did it to. Her own grip in the handshake was a gentle one, just the lightest of pressure from her pale finger tips. "Earako."
She'd been right. His name did start with a P.
The teacher's departure, and the subsequent suggestion from Paxton openly surprised Earako, she bit her lip in a decidedly unladylike way as she considered it. On the one hand, they weren't supposed to leave. On the other, it wasn't very polite to turn down an invitation, and he had called her a lady. Besides, the attention was flattering. Him with all his bright feathers asking to play with plain boring her. All the frilly blue lace and black silk that she wore could not possibly begin to compare to the decoration that nature had given Paxton.
"If you promise." She answered finally, the words coming out in a whispered nervous rush. It was night, after all. She shouldn't be stuck falling asleep in class.
Her Da' was gonna kill, though.Earako? It was certainly a fitting name for the creature she was. Delicate, simple, yet highly elegant and exquisitely out of the ordinary. Then again, all he had to do was take a look at himself to talk about un-ordinary children. If he hadn't known better, Paxton would have thought someone dropped a few buckets of paint on him when he was a small child. It was the lovebird D.N.A that caused this, right? Mother hadn't....Hmn. Well, he was just going to have to look into that one later.
"You have, my word, m'layd." Paxton chuckled slightly, flashing the ever so pale girl across from him a playful wink. With the sound of his chair scraping against the bottom of the floor, the lovebird stood up and shuffled his coat over his wings, after which, that was done, firmly wrapped his black scarf around his neck. Not so colorful any longer, but warm. Smiling, Paxton lastly pulled his pony tail out from under the black jacket had become trapped under. Wow, he really was something red, green and blue skin...golden hair?
Now, as for escape. No need to rush these things--Ms. Crossette wouldn't be coming back for a good while. He was just...he was sure of it. "Shall we? " He asked, taking Earako's hand as he opened the class room door.Earako stood in turn, a movement of practiced (sitting down and then standing again for hours, just to get it right) grace. Deliberately not noticing the fact that some of the other students were giving them confused looks she went about carefully collecting her things. She lifted her cape, black velvet and faux fur, off the back of her chair, and put it on over her dress and carefully closed wings. Da' had said no to a full length cloak, so she made do with the shorter version, at least until she could get her hands on enough velvet to make her own.
She'd never taken off her long black gloves or velvet hat, so there was no collecting of the smaller things, only a carefully straightening of her dress to the shush sound of silk against silk before she was ready to brave the world outside the classroom.
"Then I shall feel myself quite safe indeed, Sir Paxton." The albino bat responded, with just the barest hint of a smile betraying the fact that even she found such language a little silly.
Placing her hand lightly in Paxton's own, she allowed herself to be led from the room and out into the hallway. And from there, freedom! Or, at least a brief break from the dull lecture. The lovebird couldn't help but laugh as she gave the, 'sir'. All right, so he was being a tad overboard with that one. Stopping briefly as they reached the first flight of stairs, the lovebird leaned over to his partner, raising a gloved black finger he pressed it ever so softly to her lips. "No Sir... just Paxton--" kindly he reassured Earako, with his smile, that she hadn't said anything wrong, he was just correcting his silliness. Contemplatively the lovebird paused, watching the frail girls reaction for the slightest of seconds before pulling away to resume their journey.
"Lucky us that their were only two flights of stairs," he added as they reached the stairwell door to the lobby. "Not that we were, or would have been caught--" with a huff, Paxton backed himself up against the door until with a creaking sigh it swung open on its hinges.
"So, Earako. Tell me about yourself?" the boy opportunely asked as they crossed the lobby floor, before escaping out into the dark. "Eh--" Paxton shivered slightly as the chill of winters night hit him. Why were they out here again? Jittery energy was sizzling under Earako's pale skin. She hadn't ever done anything bad before. It was a strange bubbly feeling to know that there was some hint of danger to this. That they could even be caught. She wanted to laugh, all loud silly crazy, but knew it wasn't exactly a good idea. They were sneaking.
"Paxton, then," Earako agreed. A gracious lady was flexible with things like titles, of course. She remembered talking to Keanu, when he'd called her princess and she'd objected. Now, she was flexible. Both in what she let others call her, and in what she called them. Good manners were important. Especially for a girl that didn't have any other talents.
Shadowing Paxton down the flights of stairs, her heart beating crazy fast, she took the steps quickly, more quickly than a lady should. At the bottom, she couldn't quite avoid sighing with relief, nodding silently at Paxton's words.
"Well... I'm a vampire bat. I have a red dragon named Vimber. And I like to sew." That was pretty much it, wasn't it? "What about you?"
And then outside, and it was wonderful, no harsh hateful sunlight to make her falling down dizzy, just the excitement of their escape; the shivery feelings mixing with the chill of the air, so that all her skin was up in goosebumps. She took off her sunglasses, red eyes bright with excitement, and tilted her head up to look at the stars, transfixed.
If he was talking, she wasn't hearing him. "Oh, isn't it perfect?"Vampire bat? That wasn't so shocking. After all, it was hard not to recognize her as some kind of bat… It was only that Paxton found it incredibly difficult to resist from making some perhaps in appropriate jokes about blood sucking...or just sucking for that matter. Quietly, the boy took his free hand from his pocket and covered his mouth, restraining the giggles. For some reason, he just had the feeling that his new found friend was rather innocent about all that, still.
True, both Paxton and Earako were pretty old, practically teenagers now...and yet, Paxton still felt rather alone at certain times, kind of distanced. "Well..." the boy smiled slightly as he watched Earako relax at ease in the night sky, "Names Paxton. I'm a love bird, "--Hehe, sometimes he just had to love the double meaning, "and well, I have a dragon at home named Marigold. Doesn't like me much though.” The boy gave a sheepish shrug, "I think it's because I'm so much of a spaz--Woah!"
Paxton froze as he happened to glance over at Earako. "Your eyes..." he trailed off, as he leaned over and tilted her head towards him. Usually this would all be an act...but tonight, he was genuinely interested in the girls unique looks. He had never...never seen eyes that color. Maybe it was the moon or light of the stars which made them reflect, that deep, pooling, red so brightly, but, "...Their so--"
Ha, look, he was so amazed that he was speechless, a rare feat for Paxton.Innocent? Earako? Earako who's house did without a TV, who's father treated her like she was made of glass? Well, in someways. She could swear in about four different languages (ladies didn't, though), and knew more about guns then she cared to admit. But jokes about sucking and the many meanings of the word love certainly flew right over the top of her huge ears.
She only barely heard him talking, something about birds and flowers. She was studying the spaces between the stars, as the last shimmers of nervous energy began to fade. She lowered her gaze, not wanting to be rude, just as he admitted to being a spaz.
And then--
She began to blush the moment he mentioned her eyes, and the blush only got worse as he moved to study them more closely. Blushing wasn't something that could be hidden, with skin as pale as hers. For a breath she simply stood, allowing herself to be examined, if only because she didn't know how to react. And then she jerked away, the sunglasses quickly coming out and sliding on, blocking her eyes from view.
"It's... I know they're ugly. I'm albino." The words were forced out in a whimpering whisper. How could he. How could he ruin this bright perfect night by pointing out her eyes. And there he was, all bright feathered beautiful, and it wasn't her fault that she was born this way!
"It's not polite to point out a lady's short comings, you know." But there was no force behind the reproach, just that same whispered hurt. The exhilarated wide eyed creature of moments before was gone, Earako stood with her wings brought up to wrap protectively around her, as if they might hide her from view, her eyes fixed firmly on the ground."Hu--" Paxton wobbled a bit as his support, Earako, moved away from him. "What?" Oh god. Now he had gone and done it, he had offended her. He knew he was getting to close, moving in to fast and all that. Just knew it! But, but...she hadn't seemed to mind up till now. In fact, she had been blushing. Blushing! Forgive him for being blind, but that was usual a good indication that someone was kind of liking your complementing nature.
"No--wait--I-I mean..." the lovebird nearly tripped over an icy slick trying to make his way back to Earako, who indeed seemed quite hurt. Paxton paused panting as he finally reached her again. What, what horrible thing had he said? Done?
...Ugly?
Is this where her indifference was coming from? Earako thought that he was insulting her? Oh—no. No, no, no. At first, Paxton couldn't believe the words he was hearing were coming from her mouth. How could someone so--think they were some sort of monster? Throwing back his shoulders, Paxton took a deep look at the girl before him...there was something so sad looking at her like that. How could she think she was so ugly?
"Hey...you didn't let me finish." The boy reached over and tapped her on the shoulder, as he moved closer, finally regaining some of his composure. "Their so--lovely." Shyly Paxton tried to smile as he side stepped to be in front of Earako.
"Hey Earako, come here....come on," Paxton coaxed the girl to open up again. "Take off the glasses, they hide your charming eyes--" Slowly he reached out and began to take the dark lenses off. "I don't really know you well. But I have to say...you're being rather silly, seesh someone as pretty as you thinking I was insulting them."
Nervously laughter rang out through the air, he really hoped she wouldn't be upset about this all...he didn't mean too... Earako allowed him to approach, not able to find the will even to move away. Her pale hair hung in her face, and while she wasn't crying, her breath came in those short little gasps that indicated that she was close to tears. She heard his voice, but only sounds, the rise and fall of noises.
Not even a sorry? She would have noticed that, at least.
She winced at his touch, but didn't pull away, forcing herself to actually hear what he was saying in case he required some sort of response from her. Look at him. All sparkly pretty bright and--
And wait.
What had he just said? Lovely?
The unexpected statement made the poor batling's head spin, and she simply stood there, blinking awkwardly as he slid her glasses off again. Was he making fun of her? Was that what this was? Because if that was the case, she'd never forgive him. Never.
Except, except he didn't look like he was kidding. If anything, he looked nervous, as if he wasn't sure what to expect. As if he meant what he was saying.
She let her wings loosen, and folded them once again beneath her cloak, her breathing becoming more steady.
"I-- I'm not. I'm just boring. Pale and colourless, and I don't even have pretty patterns like Ligeia." She bit her lip, the spill of words threatening to bring back earlier tears. "I don't even have feathers."
"I wish I looked like you."
And that was less than a whisper, only barely audible on the night air.Boring, pale, colorless? Geeze. What kind of friends had she been hanging out with? Or was it her family that put her down like that? Yeah...that was probably it. So far, Paxton hadn't ran into any mean children at D-corp, it just had to be the bat girls parents. She must have had a parent worse than his own, and trust him, his mother could be a total bitc--
"Like me?!" The lovebird was slightly taken aback... literally, as he nearly stumbled into another icy patch of earth. Damn the gravity, it was working against him today. For a few moments Paxton stood still trying to catch his breath. All right, calm, he was doing just fine. "Eh-hem..." hastily the boy cleared his throat and began fiddling with the scarf around his neck.
The last time he had been this flustered was when Gabby had surprised him with a return kiss...it was highly flattering to hear Earako to say those words, but what do you say in return? Maybe...the best thing in these situations wasn't to say anything at all, but rather show it? After all, Paxton showed his emotions better through actions than anything else.
"Earako...."Slyly, reaching out a hand, Paxton stroked the side of the girls cheek before the tricky some boy leaned in and gave the bat girl a soft kiss on the lips. Brief, but also nothing soft nor subtle, Paxton did it not because had feelings for her rather it was just his way of saying--"Your beautiful, don't let anyone tell you other wise. "
"Now..." Stepping back Paxton began to search the ground for a patch of--Ah, perfect. Grinning like a fool, the boy reached down and picked up a handful of snow that hadn't managed to melt yet. "...Didn't come out here to waste a perfectly good history lesson on serious matters," with a waggle of his eyebrow he chucked the frozen ball in Earako's direction. Don't worry, he was careful to be sure it missed... "Ya' better watch out, next one will get you." Paxton might be surprised to meet Earako's family, composed, as it was, primarily of doting father figures. The worst she had to deal with was an indifferent aunt, and indifference was about as close as Lithle came to affection. No it wasn't family that had caused Earako's insecurities. A quick glance at the night's outfit would betray the bat's love for complexity. And Earako, to her same, was quite simple. She was not yet at an age where she could appreciate that simplicity.
Her decent into morose self contemplation was distracted by the love bird's near stumble, she reached a hand out to him, then pulled it back when she realized the boy might only be further set off balance by her grabbing at him.
And then, before she even had a chance to make sense of his stumble, there was the brief touch of fingertips against her skin and then... pressure of lips on lips. And look, Earako was all sorts of shades of pretty pink, under the right conditions. Her heart skip jumping all over again, like once again she was on the edge of danger. Maybe she was.
It had felt nice, and yet, and yet-- well, what was the batling to make of it. Not yet a teenager, but no longer a child, and here, this first kiss. A gesture of neither lust nor love, and yet a fore runner of both, a bright brief hint of the future.
The pale princess's skin shiver burned and she stood, just blinking as Paxton gathered up a ball of snow and tossed it in her direction.
The spell broke, and whatever future she'd glimpsed was forgotten, lost to the sound of her own laughter, sweet and still childlike.
Grinning, all pretenses of a lady's manners tossed aside for the chance at play, Earako scooped up her own snow ball, and opened her wings, gaining a few feet's elevation before throwing her own snow ball down at him. Her aim was good. Though a snow ball was not a bow and arrow, her hours of practice bled into other acts of precision. And she saw best after dark.Oh wasn't he clever? Avoiding any and all misfortune that may have come of the kiss by off setting it with something to laugh and play about. Snow wasn't Paxton's favorite...but who could resist a snowball fight? If only he had known he was dealing with an expert markswoman....
"Waaauh--" the lovebird flailed his arms, as Earako's snowball hit the corner of his shoulder, splashing some snow onto his cheek and neck. Thump! Finally he was down on the ground for good.
Silly Paxton, he hadn't bothered to actually think she could hit him. Yeah...she was a girl, but girls could do a lot of the same things boys did, he should have been better on his guard. The thought to doge didn't even occur to him, all though, now he kind of wished it had.
"C-cold..." the blonde little boy shivered as he sat up, and feebly began trying to gather up another snowball. Usually, he was a pretty good sport about thing, didn't like to b***h, and could take the heat if it were on, but when it came to snow...he was a total pansy.Oops... maybe she should have had the grace to throw her aim a bit off as well. Earako managed to swallow her giggles, reproaching herself inwardly for hitting the boy with a snowball. And nevermind that he had started it, had started all the games tonight.
Games?
"I'm sorry." Earako settled back on the ground, next to the love bird, ignoring the fact that Paxton was still gathering snow, and she was making herself an incredibly easy target. "I didn't mean--"
Except of course, that she had indeed meant to hit him, so she closed her mouth before the words turned into a lie.
"Would you like my cape?" The lady could be chivalrous too, under the right circumstances. Earako was much more sensitive to heat than she was to cold, so the night felt chilly to her, but not uncomfortably so. She certainly wasn't as miserable as Paxton currently looked. It was true Paxton had started things, but that's only because Earako had been so...Ah, it didn't matter, anything for the girlies right? Paxton enjoyed his job, enjoyed making other people happy. So, if it meant taking a snowball to himself, so be it. The lovebird wouldn't have it any other way.
Still shivering, Paxton looked up at Earako as the small thing approached him. "Suuuure ya didn't," was the sly smirk on his lips. "Y-you have better aim than I would have imagined." The boy said as he shoved himself from the snow and dusted off the particles of cold still attached to his clothes.
"An naw...I got a better way to keep warm," came a brisk reply, as the child roped a hand around Earako’s waist and snuggled up to her. "Besides, look class is out--" he pointed to the glow of the building where a few small shadowy figures were making their way across the parking lot. "--Don't want our parent’s realizing we skipped."
Giving Earako a squeeze, he began to walk the two of them across the snowy yard. “--Too bad this has to end though..." came a small sigh. “You were having fun, right?" Unlike the earlier kiss, the snuggling didn't surprise Earako at all. The affection level among her and her cousins and family was pretty high, so having a arm around her was nothing all that unusual. It just felt cozy and warm. "I'm learning to use a bow." She admitted, relaxing against Paxton with lazy trust.
Following his line of sight she frowned at the silhouettes of their classmates, disappointed to have to leave the company of her new friend so quickly. It had been nice, and... different. Full of fluttering heart beats and bits of nervous fear, but not bad. She would have to reflect on it later, when there were not figures growing rapidly clearer as they approached, and no one had their arm around her waist.
"Yes." She replied, scanning for her father's bike in the parking lot, or his familiar tall form. There... still in the distance. "You should come over and visit. You could meet Vimber. There's my Da'." She pointed to the shadow in question, not even moving away from Paxton. Innocent enough to feel guilty only over the class skipped, and not too much, even about that.A bow? Well that kind of explained it some...why she could throw and all. Hell if he could throw or any of that. The lovebird hadn't even had a single battle or defense lesson yet. Was that bad?
Probably. However, in his defense, Paxton didn't see a point to fighting. The child was a well mannered lover, not a rough and rumble sort. Not like he was ever going put his fighting classes to use...erm, that is if he ever got around to taking them.
"Yeah...I'd like that. To meet your family and all," Paxton began to slow as objects on the horizon began to clear and form into obscure shapes. So it really was time to go?
Alas, it was true, all good things must come to an end. Goofy smile still upon his face, Paxton stopped before pulling Earako in for a goodbye hug and kiss on the cheek. "I'll look you up sometime. Now, get out of here,"
Laughing as he said the last part, Paxton gave Earako a nudge forward and watched as the girl drifted off towards the figure of her father.
Paxton dared not take another step forward in case the man should see him.

Mr.J!
December 12th- You see that date Mr. Jay? Recognize it at all? Well if you don't recognize the day, you're sure to understand the importance of december. Twelve more days till Christmas and you know what I get as my present? I get a call at three a.m. in the morning from D-corp telling me that my s**t for brain's son has been injured.
They couldn't tell me how serious it was on the phone, but as of now he's stabilized, laying coma-tose in a hospital bed next to Keanu and this little boy I don't know named Cody. (Well actually I kind of do know him...met him after the first time Paxton ******** up. But that's not the point here--) I don't remember clearly the details of it all...Raja came and got me and then....well you know how it goes... I start going in and out of conscious. Next thing ya know, I wake up in my bed with Yahto staring across the room at me and Akmu licking my face.
Jay, I never wanted to be a mom--I, I never wanted to have kids and hell I'm so tired of this "family" s**t. But damn it all if I'm going to let my investments ******** themselves over. I spent too much of my time and too much of my money for Paxton to go and play "hero" with Keanu and turn himself into special Fred.
Yeah I feel for the kid...but thinking of how much I care for Paxton makes me feel stressed and that leadz---lea---Ugh! DAMN IT, I can allready feel myself loosing control. I've hired someone else to help keep things in in order, but while I'm moving in and out of who's going to provide for the family?
Ouh well, I got to stay strong for Raja. What ever I'm feeling now, he's going through ten times that...she--damn it, erm, sorry, he loves that kid.
Speaking of which, I should go make a booze run and cheer him up.
Later Mr. Jay~

The Prognosis Looks Bleak [AIM RP between Cody, Keanu and Paxton] Cody sat himself upright in his bed, arms folded over his chest as he starred blankly at the TV screen. Weeks in the bed.. almost two months now. His ears pinned back just thinking about how much practice he was missing out on because of all this. He was fine, he had two legs and a pulse. 'monotoring vitals' his spotted a**. Though he reminded himself over and over again of what Orphious had taught him in his special skills lession. Cody unfolded his arms slowly and held a finger out in front of him, moving it forward and back...use both eyes. Well darn lot of good that lesson did him.
Noisy. Too noisy. An eye opened drowsily as a yawn escaped the ever bored leopard. That was what had led to the catnap. Why was the TV on..? He glanced in the direction of the noise, half noting the other boy sitting up. Fine, fine time to get up it seemed. Or at least pretend to. Talking to the others was about all there was to do in this awful place. Being awake meant tying his hair back... or not. After a few seconds of trying to find the hting where he'd left it he gave up. Someone moved it again. Another reason he didn't like this place. The nurses made it their business to run your lives. Don't get up, take a nap. He wasn't going to do something stupid. So up he shoved himself, wincing at the pain. Still, he hated laying down all day. "Mornin' Cody." Why was the TV on again? None of them really watched it did that? Probably a nurse. It was 'entertainment' or something.
Paxton had been awake for a while now. Some where half in sleep, half in wakefulness he drifted in and out, not really caring to get up and greet the day. It wasn't that Paxton didn't want to speak with either Keanu or Cody, yes he had a few choice words to say to both of them, but there would be a time for that...besides, the day was probably rather pretty. Even if it was freezing outside, at least there would be sun. A sigh. Paxton rolled over and covered his head with a spare pillow. Yeah...just ten more minutes.
Cody turned a bit as Paxton rolled over, raising an eyebrow. "Well looks like we got us some signs o' life..." He smirked a bit, glancing up to Keanu. Good thing he'd still been out when they were playing catch with one of the flowerpots their folks had dropped off to sit by their bedside- that would have been bad. "How're ya holdin' up there, spots?"
One brow raised at Paxton's shifting, but he knew better than to rouse him. There had to be a speech of some sort coming if he said a word. Just save himself for a few more minutes. He wouldn't usually mind the lecture, hell he'd agiven a few to Paxton in the past too. The fact was that being stuck in a bed for more than a month left Keanu a rather cranky kitty. Too much energy for his own good. "Mmm... same as ever." When exactly had that nickname set in anyway? Ah whatever, he didn't mind. He'd been called worse things right? "What about you, Cody?" He really wish they hadn't hidden his hairtie again. Even without a brush it would have been nice to pull it back. Even if it wouldn't do much good. It wasn't like they'd let him go out and run around. His leg was still to much of a mess wasn't it?
"That's not funny--" The lovebird snapped, immedatly sitting up to retort upon Coyd's comment. Signs of life? Yeah, that was really classy to say to someone who had been out of it for a long time. Paxton wasn't sure how or why, but some how Cody had managed to ruffel his feathers. "Ung--" half heartedly the boy tossed the pillow he had been holding across the room. Where it missed it's target by several feet and landed onto the floor with a soft squishy plop. Damn it. He didn't even have the drive enough to throw properly. But then again, he never could...Paxton just pretended he could do all the activities guys did. " I mean..." Brown eyes blinked at the pair of boys sitting next to him, "...Good morning?"
"Aye now, that's no way tah be treain' someone stuck in bed." Cody scratched at his messy hair a bit. His bandages would be replaced by a patch soon enough, till then he'd have to deal with them. "Wasn't meanin' nothin' by it." He put a hand up, "Aye, Keanu an' me have been worried enough by ya. We don't seem much like it but das th' truth. We even let th' nurses in long 'nuff tah look at'cha. Let 'em get close n'uff tah put more gas on."
He glanced at Paxton as he sat up long enough to chuck a pillow then mention morning. Right, yes morning. "Mm, yea we were." Not completely awake perhaps. Then again, it might have just been a disinterest in being awake in this place. Hard to tell really. He eyed the pillow as if contemplating using it as an excuse to get up. The last time he'd tried tonurses showed up. More sleepy gas. Best to just let it be. "You slept a lot longer than we did Paxton." He mentioned, rubbing a hand through his own mess of hair. "I was worried you really wouldn't wake up." Oh, maybe it was guilt rather than disinterest. It was his fault this all happened. "I shouldn't have gotten you involved in this. Neither of you." He'd appologized before, but it really didn't change the fact. It was his fault.
"Oh...thanks..." Paxton didn't mean to sound sarcastic, but it just came out that way. Tilting his head downward, Paxton took a deep sigh before massaging his temples and from there fingers worked to up to scalp and through Paxton's hair. The love bird enjoyed being touched about his neck and head, it was rather calming and right now the last thing he wanted to be was upset. He was going to make this day work for the best. And if that meant putting on a brave face and faulty smile for Keanu and Cody...so be it. Acting couldn't be that impossibly difficult. "I know you were..." Paxton tilted himself back until he was once again resting comfortably upon what bedware he had. "And...ah--gods sake Keanu, don't start ont he fault issue. You can't help the fact that you're a ---" he cut off there and simply shut his mouth. No, he wasn't going to be negitive here. Even if Keanu was a complete dumbass.
"Don't be blaimin' yerself. I woulda run 'em down if ya hadn't gone in first, ya know I'm always spoilin' fer a good fight. An' 'cides- that creep's th' guy that took out Allen. Not good havin' them just walkin' round like that. Ya wanted tah put a stop to it a'fore 'e could get to th' ladies...or anyone else." Cody smirked a bit and leaned back against his pillow, still kind of moving his finger back and forth between his eye and bandages, trying to understand the distance change for him... everything was so flat. "Best we start payin' some attention in class I reckon."
He managed to subdue the glare he wanted to toss in Paxton's direction for the comment. Not so much about what he was going to say, though he had an idea of what Paxton might have finished it, but for telling him to shut it. He knew that Paxton wouldn't have been there that day if not for the fact he'd been trying to keep an eye on him. As for Cody... he'd come over after seeing them. He'd been there hoping for a lead really, eager to just at a chance to do good. He'd been a bit stupid about it. Hell, he was going to agree with Paxton's unsaid words for the time being. It had been stupid. Which meant Cody was right. "Yea, we should." And practice more on his own. He obviously wasn't ready yet, which meant more work. More practice. "So we can make sure if those people do come back we're ready. Because they could come back." He wasn't above of spot of revenge against someone who was evil to begin with. One of these days he'd settle the score with those two. They wouldn't get away with hurting his friends.
Dumbass....that was another word which could be used to describe Cody. Allright, so he had Cody and Keanu described down to a "T". There was just one problem left...how on Earth had Paxton got himself stuck with these two? 'If anyone's the idiot here, it's yourself,' mused that d**k of a voice in his head. In all essence, that voice had some truth in it. If Paxton had been thinking he wouldn't have rushed into things the way he had. Not that he rushed into things...he had just been stumbling to get to Cody and Keanu's bleeding bodies only to be stopped by a--snake? The memory was kind of faint, and also a bit odd...Paxton hadn't mentioned it to anyone yet, and he didn't want to either. What if people thought the attack had wrecked his memory or something? Besides, there were only to guys there...right? "Yeah...I guess we all need some work." A faint smile crossed Paxton's lips. "Especially me, if I'm going to be keeping up with you two."
"Should be easier now, eh?" Cody smirked over towards the lovebird, "I mean Keanu'll be stuck gimpin' it around with a pair o' crutches and ten bucks says I'll be smackin' intah just about everythin for a month or so, fallin' over m'self more than I already do." A horrible attempt at bad humor, but an attempt none the less. If they couldn't learn to laugh at themselves they had no right picking on eachother. Dumbasses, perhaps, but at least they had a backbone. "We'll get better, jus' think how much th' ladies will eat this up. Three brave boys all messed up in the name o'...uh...somethin'." He scratched his head a bit.
He shrugged at the lovebird's comment. He really couldn't be dragging Paxton into this anymore? Part of getting better had meant learning to keep his friends out of it. He didn't want them getting hurt again. He wasn't afraid of death, but the idea of having anyone die because of him. Someone who wasn't evil... The thought left a cold pit in his stomach. No, he'd try to keep them out of the real stuff. He'd explain it to them later. They... shouldn't be involved. Wasn't this enough of a hint? He snapped his head up at the mention o fcrutches, frowning. "I am NOT going to be stuck using those things very long!" He grimaced at the very thought of it. "I'll get better so I don't need them." He nodded. "And come on, think about it. You'll figure out how to walk." Alright, his sense of humor was a bit low at the moment. It'd come back eventually. "And why are you bringing up girls at a time like this?" Didn't those two ever stop?
A smirk flitted across Paxton's lips. It was rather nice to see that Cody was helping him out here on the positive side of things. Lord knew that it would take the two of them to perhaps help Keanu from his slump. For Paxton knew Keanu was in a slump. It was just so obvious the working of his minds. Cody probably knew as well...Keanu was blaming himself for this...and that...that just wasn't right. Nobody was to blame here."Tish. I don't need an accident to get the ladies," Coyly the lovebird closed his eyes and settled his arms behind his head. "Allready practically have to beat them off with a stick.." Oh Paxton, such the lair. "The crutches to don't bring much of a sexy factor...but you will get some pity Keanu." A lazy brown eye opened just in time for Paxton to flash a toothsome grin. "Not you have need for such a thing."
Keanu glared frostily at Paxton. Hadn't he learned ANYTHING!? "Paaaaxton..." the tone was slightly threatening. Which was a joke coming from someone who couldn't even stand yet. "What have we discussed?" It was probably pointless. The lovebird just wouldn't change. Though the fact he'd drug him into this. "And I don't want anyones pity. Nor should it matter if they like me in that way or not. Thinking someone looks nice has nothing to do with love." He was probably taking it all too seriously, but since when did he take treating ladies well as a joke? "And do I need to remind you that you can't see them like that. It's wrong!" Oh, but it was pointless. And obviously there was a better thing to spend time on. He glanced at Cody at the mention of escape. Butt gowns... what a smashing term. "You pull them out. Simple as that." Yep, that was still his way of dealing with things. Even if he was using his head.
A roll of the eyes. Oh dear, Keanu was going on about the true love speech again? ...At least that's what Paxton had named it. An impatient sigh followed along with some meaningless chatter. "Yeah, yeah, sounds good---wait! What?!" Suddenly, Paxton's blood pressure rose a couple of notches. No, no. There was no possible way he had heard that correctly. Knocking his head to the side, the lovebird began to wonder if he had a particularly nasty chunk of ear wax imparing his hearing. Escape? Oh for heavans sake...he hadn't heard wrong, plane as day Cody was working on getting up out of bed. Hadn't...hadn't the fools learned anything? "Where are you going?" The lovebird nearly managed to roll himself out of bed as he scrambled over to the side. "Ow--god damn--Get back here!"
As if on cue, a knock echoed through the room, the door slowly slippin gopen before a responce could come. The usual 'hey i'm coming in' knock, they'd probably be used to it by now. Following it, a familiar purple haired teacher's face poked around the corner, giving a raised brow to the current situation that greeted her. "And where might you be going?" she offered with a smile as her body followed, a large backpack draped over one shoulder, and a more suspicious glance to Cody, the boy she'd known to excape her classroom several times. She'd had to upgrade all her locks thanks to him. So with a more serious look she continued "You'll want to stay in bed, alright? I know it's hard, but trust me, you don't want to lose anything else."
"I've had 'bout enough o' sittin' on my a**!" He snorted, reaching for the IV, "An' th' food 'round 'ere stinks, I've memorized all th' infomercials on th' station." "See? I can get up all myself, they can too-they're jus..." he looked over towards the others, "Uh...they jus' got up's all." He looked back to the nurse, "Ya best be lettin' us outta 'ere."
The leopard was starting to swing his legs to the side of the bed, careful with the still injured one. Wasn't being shot in the lung enough. Insult to injury as the saying went. He'd only managed that much when Kat knocked and peeked in. Both ears feel. Once again thwarted. Lose more? He sighed, letting his head tilt slightly to one side. "I can walk with crutches. There really isn't anything to do in here, Miss Kat." He was at least a bit more calm they Cody. Or at least must have sounded that way. "This place is worse than being shot ever was." The truth. Being shot was a quick pain, this place sort of just... sucked your life away. It was that boring. "I'd like to go out and see the snow, it's snowing right?" He recalled seeing something about the weather on theTV. "I hated the summer, and it stands to reason the snow must be nice if it's nothing like summer." He sighed. Maybe she'd listen because he sounded reasonable?
Was the situation going from worse to better, or better to worse? Frankly the love bird couldn't tell. Mentally and physically exausted the boy leaned himself over the cold metal frame of his hospital bed post. At least it was Mis. Kat? ...From his younger years Paxton could barely remember the teacher, but what little he did she was nice...very clam. Perhaps she would help? .Or not? 'Thwack' Went Paxton's head against the post. 'Thwack, smack, thwack' "Shoot me...shoot me now..." he most quitely mujmbled under his breath. The last thing he wanted was for Cody or Keanu to hear that ...it was a tasteless comment. "Hi mam..." Paxton offered a meek and mumbled welcome to the teacher, as he tried to join sides by Cody and Keanu. "Yeah the snow...we wanted to see it?" He lied cautiously swinging a foot over the side of his bed. Oh god, when was the last time he had walked? Ah well, it didn't matter...Cody and Keanu were un-happy. His friends were suffering...he could give a little, if only for their happiness.
"Would you like to be completely blind then?" She snapped back to the bull, a suprising turn of attitude in comparison to the constant cheer that seemed to dwell around the woman. But with a shake of her head, and a smile to replace the frown that had jumped to her expression, she shut the door behind her. "You can't get out anyways, they decided to lock it... And that's why I'm here, I figured you'd all be bored. I brought some things to do..." Her smile widened some passing a glance to paxton first, then keanu, she gave a nod. "Well we could open the blinds... you might see some snow fall! And in alittle while you'll all probably be well enough to head out to see it." she added reassuringly. "But for now you have to stay here, we barely kept you alive as it is you know..." her smile remained, but her voice ebbed with a bit of saddness. "But lets see what we've got! I brought board games, some books, movies, I rented alot of this stuff because I know you guys are a bit too old for my normal." She shifted, dropping the backpack down to the floor to begin pulling out various entertainment things their age, and more suited for their intrests. Though that had been a bit difficult... Really, finding something that entertained a super hero, a cowboy, and a romantic?
Cody fell back onto his rump with a loud snort around the nosering, meant to sound just as angry and incompliant as ever. "They're called BORED games for a reason, books are about as 'citin' as countin 'how many bits o' fuzz are hangin' offa our bums, an' I betcha I've seen every last one o' them movies buncha times over...an' Paxton's got a headache anyway, thinkin' too much or too much sounds is gonna make it worse. Cody lifted his chin though...yeah he would like to sit and watch some good old shooting and roping- but for the sake of being stubborn he'd act otherwise. That and really he'd rather not watch cowboys being all manly and cool with his a** hanging out of a paper robe.
Keanu frowned at the comment. No getting out then. He sighed slightly, glancing at the window. He hated to be indoors... flopping on the ground outside would have been splendid. Instead he was stuck in here like always. The same old 'oh you'll be well soon' thing. Like that did him any good right now. "Why'd they lock it?" He asked, idly rocking ont he bed to get rid of some of the pent up energy. He was partially contemplating just trying to stand up and open the curtains himself. But that might not end well. He frowned further at the comment of alive. That once more brought up the guilt of almost getting his friends killed. Never again... he'd protect them. He didn't bother to look back as she began to list off what she had. He never did any of that stuff. What he did was things outside, which he obviously wasn't allowed near at the moment. All he got was to stare out the window and brood. Which truly didn't suite him, but there wasn't much else to do. Still, best to be polite. She was trying to do them a favor. "It was nice of you to go out of your way and think of us." But he'd rather be outside.
The love bird blinked once, twice...and then withdrew his foot back into bed. Well...at least he would be saving himself the embarasment of trying to move. Ah, so foiled again? How did it always seem to work out that way. No matter what the three did they were always stopped. No...not three, two. Paxton was just along for the ride. Hmn, so now what? What was that phrase snot nosed brats usually said just to be well...a bother? "Whatever." A ruffle of bright feathers and Paxton was off staring into space. Yeah...'whatever,' he was fine with that. Paxton was fine with just about anything now. Maybe another nap was in order...or maybe he needed to find that pillow he had thrown earlier and just smother himself allready. ...Naw, that would be far to simple.
"They're called board games because they're flat like boards." She corrected, with a 'isn't that interesting?' tone. Ofcourse she'd suspected they'd fight it tooth and nail, no one liked being couped up like this, she knew that from personal experience. "And I also have some video games, not many though... They're a bit too expensive." She nodded, sorting through the videos. Best to sooth Cody first, she reasoned the squeaky wheel got the oil as they say, if she could calm him down she could work on the rest. Not that it would happen any time soon, but it was a start. "Ah here, this ones newer, so maybe I'll get lucky!" She lifted the video up, moving over to the VCR to pop it in and let the credits start up. ofcourse she'd checked all the movies before hand as any good teacher would. Nothing too violent after what they'd been through, just good simple watching. "Because you all have a history of getting into trouble, and no one wants you hurt." She responded, moving away from the VCR now that it was doing it's job, and to the window, drawing back one side of the curtains to show the slightly icy window, gazing out into the parking lot. The windows were locked too ofcourse, and it was too high to get out of anyways. "And lets see..." she moved back to the bag, heading to Paxton last, the least of her worrys from what she'd read in the new reports, she took a seat on his bedside, placing the pack to her side. "I'll let you keep the bag." She informed him, lifting a hand to give an affectionate stroke of his hair like a mother might. Habit from being around toddler's all day perhaps.

Welcome Home [Journal RP With Family] "Hey," brown eyes lit up, a sweet smile was passed to the crowd before him but before the lovebird could say anything else he was tackled by the head of the house.
"Paxton!" It was more of a squeal than his name, but the feathered teenager didn't mind. The boy was expecting that on site his mother would smack him, not hug him, the affection was welcome. Then again, what kind of loving parent would hurt their child? Naito may have had her moments but that didn't mean she would miss him terribly if he were gone. "It's good to see you to Ma'..." He sighed absent mindedly and closed his eyes nestling his head against the old familiar scent that was Naito.
The heart warming reunion did not last long however--"Have you gotten taller?" Naito frowned, stepped back and placed her hands on her hips in sudden disapproval. Puzzled at the strange welcome Paxton looked down at himself? It had been months since he was trapped in that hospital bed, in all that rush, the hustle and bustle, could the impossible really be true? Had he grown up? Mentally he didn't feel different, but the proof was in his height. The last time he had hugged his mother she had been the one to lean down...but--ah, hey, wait a minute...?
"Have you grown fatter?" The words were off his lips before he knew it and Naito on him.
"Are you a jackass?! I think that blow went to your head!" Oh boy, Paxton must have touched on a sore spot for the girl was really mad. Naito's face just kept getting redder and redder.
"Ow! Hey Ma'--" the boy held up his arms flinching under the wrath of a women whose weight had just been insulted. Geeze, how could she get so upset over just a few pounds? If she didn't like the way her body was going, she should lay off the cake a little. "Hey--Hey Ma'--No, wait really--" Paxton pulled away trying to get a better look at the creature peaking it's head out from behind Tsukasa's side. "Who's that?"
At the sudden notice, Evarobby's ears perked up and his head tilted to the side. Was this guy talking about him? Ever since he had moved into Naito's strange house, he was curious about this 'son' she kept bringing up. Curiosity, however, didn't do the real thing justice. Paxton was unlike anything he had been expecting. It was those colors! Just how many of them was he wearing? Blue eyes blinked as Eva curiously Eva wondered what his new...house mate was like. Heh. House mate...it was still a little early to be calling each other brother.
But...he would get over that right? The thought alone made Eva's brown ears swivel down to his side. Freeze had been gone a while now, still...it was hard getting used to it. Part of him still couldn't believe his dad of all people had abandoned him, left him and everyone else. He just...Eva wasn't ready to accept it yet. That didn't mean, however, he wasn't going to make the best out of this situation. Stepping away from the blonde haired boy he was hiding behind, Eva cocked his head to the side and gave a small wave at Paxton. 'Hi' he said, in his own way, still not much for speech.
"Oh him?" Naito turned and glanced back at the roo child. "That's Eva, I picked him up at Christmas while you were away." Her face turned into a sour-sweet grin. "He's staying with us until...until..." rather embarrassed Naito peeked an eye open at Eva, who looked worried at the woman's lack of knowledge. "--Until however long he wants to!" She quickly blurted out, hoping this would cover for her mistake. It did. Eva smiled back...just a little.
Paxton bit his lip. "I see…WAIT, WAIT, WHOSE THAT?!" Feathers were flung as a frantically waving lovebird pointed at the sleeping orange and white stripped child in Yahto's arms. Just what had happened while he was away in the hospital? "Oh?" Naito looked back at Shi, who slept soundly in the smiling blue-haired man's arms. "That's Shi..or...as the tiger in my dream called her Shi Xiang? Shi Xianggu? Whatever." Frustrated Nai threw her hands up into the air and proceeded along with her story, as if this were the most normal thing in the world. "So yeah, came from a arrow--blah, blah, blah. You we're gone a long time. The world just doesn't stop for you. You know?"
Deep in the pit of his stomach, Paxton had a horrible sinking feeling. This...was going to be a bad week, wasn't it?

Journal Entry (sometime late summer)
While he hadn't written in it for several months now, that big thick leather bound monster still sat on his desk, taking up more than its fare share of shelving. For part of an assignment in health class, one of Paxton's teachers had asked them to journal. It was about silly little things, diet, exorcise (secretly Paxton believed his professor was passing these off to the techs a night) but even so it had prompted the lovebird to take back up one of his more obscure hobbies. Obscure meaning here that he didn't talk about it to anyone, or read it, or even know about it. With a sigh he stretched his arm across his bed and snagged a corner of the hard bound copy, only to end up with dust all over his fingers. He flicked over a few pages, wincing as he managed to make out some of his old childish handwriting. Heh, man, he was such an unhappy child back then. But without much further pause, a ruffle of his feathers, Paxton grabbed the pen which had been sitting behind his ear and flipped over to an empty page. Quote: To Journal: Hello, what's up? I know it's been ages since I touched you, so obviously something must be bugging me? Though I have a theory, let me test it out on you? I think that the issue that's bugging me, is the same issue that has kept me from recording my life in your pages;... there is nothing to write about! Life is boring! I sit here day in and day out, I go go to school (yeah summer school, how lame is that? I have to go because I was out so long) and maybe talk to some friends, but that's about it. It makes a guy want to hang himself...in general I blame my dull life on this previous winter's accident. I understand that in general most peoples lives aren't that exciting, but ever since I got out of the hospital my mother has been smothering. I know she needs help around the house, and that roll of the 'big man' kind of fell on me since she isn't married, but is it such a crime to stay out past ten on a school night? She has a lot of other people in the house to help her, why do I have to be the one to set the table every night and tuck in my brothers and sisters? There's a lot on her plate with the pregnancy and all...but I haven't had a date (which, hey, is very important to me) in a little over half a year. Keanu too has distanced himself from me, I think he really lost it after that night...I didn't think it would affect him that much, but it really has. He's so stupid sometimes, selfish too, I know he doesn't want to see me get hurt ever again. But that's life, ya' know? I'm so god damn bored I took up smoking, don't have quite the hook up yet for drinks...and there's really only so much you can do online with a computer. Guh, I think what I'm really trying to get at here is I need to get out and meet some people. But the question is convincing everyone else that I need some time outside this place. I'm getting really antsy, journal, really tired of this place. Always, Paxton
