Shilling was in a good mood today. Granted, the rather stupid dragon was always in a fairly good mood but today, Cleo noticed, he wouldn't stop WRIGGLING. She had him wearing a collar (with a bright yellow ribbon hiding the leather) and a leash attatched to it, like a dog. It kept the dragon from jerking away into the crowd and leaving her alone.
At least he wasn't waddling like Etains dragon. Poor fat dragon. He was so terrified of it.
Cleo had been growing and her mam had given her some money, told her to go buy some clothing where the hemline wasn't too high or low and to get something she could run in. You could run in fluffy skirts, right?
The jean skirt she was wearing at the moment was mid-thigh at the highest with small slits up the side. There were mis-matched stockings of frogs and UFOs and thick black boots. Her shirt was a soft yellow tee, fitted to her almost invisible chest and those inky black and partially yellow curls were tied back into a braid in the back of her head. A few curls had sprung free to frame her face.
And, of course, there was Shilling. Silly dragon.
He was sniffing the air, thick tail wriggling and that whiskered snout puffing away. It was like he smelled something interesting.. but not food. Cleo had made sure they kept away from the jewelry stores. Something else.
The goldcrest shrugged, trying to pull him along. "Shilling! Come on! I need a soda!" Whiiiine.

"It's not queer, it's what people my age do--" Paxton refrained from saying the word "kid", he didn't like the connotation with it. Besides, he wasn't a kid anymore, despite what Ma' said. Truthfully, he hadn't felt like a kid in a long time, some people grow up fast. Now, now, though, that didn't mean Paxton was kept from acting immature. The boy had a lot to learn.
...Yes, he had a lot to learn, especially when it came to clothes. Which was why he was out with Marigold browsing the finest shopping in all of Gaia. "Like I said," he cleared his throat, sending the evil eye at his dragon, " shopping is not queer, it's what people my age do--Hey! Hey! Marigold? Marigold, where are you going?"
Paxton in his fitting jeans, cocked his hip to the left, crossing both arms, the annoyed look on his face deepening. "Marigold if you don't tell me what's going on....Oh~” Blonde eyebrows lifted as he noticed the other gold dragon being drug along by its leash. However, more eye catching was the blur of feminine color that was dragging the creature along...Hmn, how to attract her attention? A glint of mischief in his eyes, Paxton turned to the golden lump of dragon flesh next to him. Marigold whimpered.
One smack on the rump later and he had her romping at a moderate pace towards his fellow D-corp and her gold dragon.

It was COMING! Shilling knew what his keeper didn't know and that's whatever that smell was was COMING. Towards them! It was exciting and happy-fun and - OOOH, LOOK!
Shillings mental excitement didn't waft up to Cleo until the dragon all but yanked her shoulder from the socket in his lunge away and towards the older dragon. The leash was released and she stumbled with a squeak.
"Shilling!" Her yell was one of indignance as her wings flared out to steady herself, the dragon getting a quite irritated Look. "Where are you going?!"
Damn right she went chasing after him. Boots were good for running, Tyvvie said so, and Shillings leash was always out of her grasp. People parted from the small goldens path as he puppy-leapt along before screeching to a halt before Marigold.
HI! The non-too intelligant little dragon squealed, his body wriggled in happy enthusiasm. Cleo burst from the crowds, her litttle face partially pink from the quick running and she once again stumbled. This time over Shilling. "Gmmph!"
Luckily, there was no face planting. THere was a stumble and then she tried to pull her dragonlet back. "Stop bothering people, Shilling!"

Stop! Stop! Stop! Hrnf! The gold dragon came to a stop before long. First off, because she hated running and didn't want to do so anymore and secondly, there was this little dweeb in front of her. Ugh... Marigold stared at Shilling with less than enthusiasm.
Slowly Paxton walked towards the scene of the ruckus, he was in no rush...in fact, it was only now the other little (what he could only assume was another) D-corper was stumbling across her dragon. He knew it was wrong to think it, but he couldn't but wish the girl had tumbled over her dragon. If she had, it would have been a good opportunity to rush up and help her to her feet. "No need to yell at him," the boy stepped from behind the mass of flesh that was his dragon, "if I had better control of Marigold, your little pall here would have run over so excitedly." Quietly he stroked the side of his dragon, "She usually isn't so misbehaved". At this Marigold wrinkled her nose, she was never misbehaved! It was only rotten little lovebirds that were. Nff!
"Name's Paxton," the boy held out his hand, "An yours pretty?" He smiled charmingly enough, nothing to be taken as threatening. He said it so natural in his speech, you would think he just talked this all the time. Which, he did...but that was a different story.

Shilling stared back, squirming in his skin like an antsy snake. She was THERE and she was PRETTY and SHINY just like HIM. AND his lady! That meant if she was like BOTH of them... You are the alpha and the omega. The little dragon purred, awestruck by the very implications that she was the matrix.
It was never a good thing to let a crazy infant dragon watch keanu Reeves. He gave a snort of enthusiasm, shouldering his way to Marigold to give her a pleased little lean - poor Paxton got himself lightly headbutted.
There is no spoooon!
Cleo, luckily, had no clue what her dragon was saying. Instead, there was a pretty boy with colors to rival Tyvs standing in front of her, with a dragon like hers. But a calm dragon who actually looked... intelligant.
So she smiled, a cheerful, dimpled expression, and stuck out her hand to return the shake with one of her own. He called her pretty. Major points there, golden boy. "I'm Cleo." The goldcrest announced proudly, eyeing the slim boy even as she shook his hand. "And Shilling doesn't get upset even when I DO yell at him. He's always happy. And he's - Shilling! Stop touching the other people! Bad dragon! Bad!" She had to drop Paxtons hand in order to haul her reptile back once more.
"...yeah. He keeps doing that."
