While his personality might be a bit hard for most to swallow, Wasabi is essentially a kind and protective force. He can tell when he's a bit too overwhelming for someone and will tone things down a bit until they're easier around him; of course even his "toned down" is quite energetic. If he befriends someone really shy or timid (assuming they can handle him as a friend!), Wasabi acts like a shield, attracting attention to himself and deflecting it away from his friends to make them feel more comfortable.
Given his initial first-impressions, a lot of people are surprised to find that Wasabi does like stories and books. He even enjoys reading every now and then, it's just he doesn't like sitting still for long periods of time. Nonetheless, anybody expecting an empty head behind his bright smile is in for a real surprise!

There's a few rose petals beneath all the thorns. Keisha might be short on sympathy but she's not a bully. Even if they have a bit of sting to them there's always good sense in her words. You just have to be willing to hear it. She has a steady head and steady heart, good common sense and a strong sense of duty to those she promises to help. She's more than a little stubborn, but she's also extremely patient. When she wants to achieve something she doggedly keeps after her goals. ✖ Noteworthy mentions: Etchemin's fins are very flowy and don't have a lot of structure to them. When he's on land they kind of fold like a fan, not that he frequents land that often. When in the light his body appears to be a solid dark blue and his eyes pure black, but he's actually bioluminescent; glowing, bright blue dots appear all over his extremities and shine from his eyes when he's in a dim setting. Also, while it might look like he's missing a back leg, he's got all four limbs; his tail just gets in the way.
Even if Etchemin is comfortable enough to approach you he's not a big talker. Not so much because he doesn't want to, but because he has very little practice in verbal communication. He'll make small noises, squeaks, growls, chitters, yelps and such, or use body language for the most part. His is a dominant frame of mind. He is highly territorial and when he thinks someone is challenging his claim to something (or someone) he can become aggressive. He's also protective. He learned long ago that few, if any, live in the water as he does; many who enter his lake aren't even aware that he is watching, a silent guardian.
Though wild, Etchemin is not stupid. He has keen senses and wits, and a good memory. Perhaps you may be able to fool him intellectually, given his lack of knowledge of anything outside his watery domain, but if you think to trick him you will never get away with it more than once. He never forgets, and once wronged he will always be suspicious.

Wild Draw is very friendly and just a bit nosy, and loves trying to help people with their problems. This can be a double-edged blade, however. Sure, she practically bubbles with optimism and energy and doesn't give up easily, but she's also a little reckless and not much given to planning. Alain is not afraid of a fight, if need be. He'll try to resolve things with words first, but only because that's how Mother taught him; if words flail, he'll very happily get into a physical fight. If you push him too far he'll chuck the polite shell aside and turn into a total brawler. Mostly messing with his family will bring this about. His grumpy-but-sweet mom comes from a large family, almost all a handful and able to take care of themselves, but his polite mom suffered the loss of a parent and sibling and it affected everyone. Don't ever mess with that side of his family, he'll hurt you for it. The same goes with his siblings. Alain is very much the oldest-and-therefore-the-protector type. He'll stick his nose into his family's business, especially romance matters, with absolutely no shame; he has to make sure anyone who tries is good enough for his family, after all!
Distantly polite on one hand and a crass tough on the other, Alain might seem a bit predictable at times but he may still surprise you. For example, could you have guessed he has a passion for tea? Or an interest in breeding roses? There's a lot of character here, you just have to be willing to take the bad with the good.

He doesn't like to talk about what turned his life around. If you ask all he'll say is he did something bad and had to do time in prison. Only a couple years, not nearly as long as he thought. He'd learned a love of carpentry while he was there, and nowadays you'll find him crafting things from knickknacks to buttons to furniture in order to earn a living. He left most of his wild personality behind him; he refuses to drink at all now and lives a pretty quiet life. He's a terrible flirt when he sees something cute, but isn't as much of a man-whore as he used to be. She's a good listener, but doesn't often talk about her own problems unless she feels really close to the one she's venting at. She's sweet and loves making people happy, but if you cross her you'll discover her quick tongue and quick temper. Nonetheless she usually regrets things said in haste. She's intensely loyal and hates seeing people she likes unhappy, and delights in planning surprises. All in all she's a cheerful, happy person to know.
