 The club was just getting amped up when Rhododendron arrived. He waltzed his way in, slinking around the wires and larger objects upon the floor, before plopping himself upon a bar stool with a grin. His favored bartender was in for his usual rounds, to his joy, and had already set three glasses in front of Rhodo. One was bright pink, strawberry. The one in the center was dark green, lime. Finally, he pawed the purple one, black raspberry, and handed the bartender a ten.
"Thanks! You know my tastes, so, keep the change!" He chirped, before slipping back off the bar stool and heading straight for the lounge couches. He flopped upon a fluffy looking pillow and took a swig of his drink, his eyes scanning the crowd. Bah, no one interesting yet, but it was too early to start fussing about finding a "night partner". In about an hour, the party would really start up, and his "pick of the litter" for the night was bound to show up by then.

 Will gave the wood in front of him one last swipe with a polishing cloth and stood back to admire his work. The dresser was a beautiful dark mahogany, with custom carved decorations and a few secret drawers built in. It hadn't come cheap, but his client had the money and had been quite adamant that cost wasn't an issue. Given the fact that he'd paid half right there on the spot, Will believed him.
He'd spent day and night working on the thing, leaving the house only when steps required time to complete, and even then it was only to buy groceries. He deserved a treat to celebrate the completion of his newest achievement. He threw a protective sheet over the newly made furniture and put away all his work tools, gave the floor a quick sweep, then headed out to town.
It was late enough that the night clubs had begun opening their doors. The bars were probably still crowded, but soon those patrons would relocate to their favored dance spots. Will actually ran into such a crowd as he strolled down the street. They were a loud group, lots of laughing and talking. Watching them with amusement, he followed the group right to the doors of one of his favorite clubs. He had to wait for them to all go through the line first, but since they were "early" it wasn't too long a wait.
The bouncer nodded to Will and let him through the doors. He walked in far enough so he'd be out of the way, then stopped to adjust to the lighting and sound. The music had a great beat, and the group he'd followed in were already on the dance floor. Rather than immediately join then Will made his way to the bar. Better get a scope of the joint and see if there was anyone interesting he wanted to dance with first, plus this place had a decent selection of nonalcoholic beverages. He slid into a stool, pushing a lock of blonde hair out of his face and getting a strong scent of wood as he did so. Ah well, at least he didn't smell like vanish or paint. He ordered a virgin pina colada and scanned the room while he waited for it, hoping he could get a little fun after all his hard work.
