☾ The Twin Captains of the Night and Day Pirates x ☼ ♦◊ Luna & Sunny ◊♦ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ xxxxxSunny opened her mouth to reply, as if she had some genious, impregnable plan that was 100% sure to work. Needless to say, she soon shut her mouth and frowned at her feet. "I... don't..." before finishing the sentence she looked up to Shinji, "What if I made a bubble around myself?" While the question wasn't exactly aimed at Shinji or anyone else but herself, Sunny took a deep breath and put her knuckles together. "Nikko Nikko no Saku!" Much like the formation of Sunny's surfboard, A perfectly round, air-tight bubble appeared around her. Sunny looked around her, pounding against the orb with her fists to see how strong it was. When her fists got nowhere breaking it, she jumped up and down on the bottom. It seemed just as strong as anything else she'd made. Concentrating on the orb like she would her board, it began to float up, level with Shinji's head. Suddenly, Sunny's face started turning red, and the orb burst. Falling on her bum, Sunny gasped for breath. When she caught her breath, she gasped, "That's not gunna work. I couldn't breathe in there."

NPC (Shinji)
Shinji paused, observing and apparently trying to think of the plan Sunny had. Thoughtfully he pulled at the chin hair he had, but shook his head. "I can't think of anything besides to try and blow a hole open to her lair. ...Unless....Hmm. I don't know if we have the resources to do it, but certainly a try." He mumbled, before snapping his fingers. "I have it. I don't know how exactly we'll get past it, but there is one uncollapsed tunnel. It was ruled as "safe" because a house was built on top of it. It's used primarily as a shelter against storms, but those have since subsided. Weather patterns, go figure, huh." Shinji began moving off towards said house, and waved his hand, as if to follow. He began to speak along the way, of the budding plan in his mind. "The majority of the shaft is flooded, but I think that that thing's lair has an air bubble. What I'm driving at is, if that shaft's water is much higher, then I'm right, and all that's protecting her from a straight shot access is a limited amount of water. We can then just scoop it out and boom! instant all you want access to the monster girl." Shinji seemed confident in his plan, even going so far as to grab a bucket on his way there. A few people looked at him like he was nuts, though a lot of the younger villagers were eager to help him, shouting praise that their way of thinking was spreading. They of course, were under the impression that they were going to go finish the monster off. In a way, that might still be accurate.
...
Once at the shack, Shinji grabbed a hammer from the shelf of the "house", which was now basically a tool storage shed, and began pulling up floorboards. Like a big bandaid, a few planks up, and the hole was quite visible. "Yep, the water's almost come up to spill out. It means that that's a huge cave down there she's made. Hey, you kids! Go get buckets. We're going to go get that sea monster!" Of course, he was lying, and had no intention of actually going in there to meet it face to face, but it worked, sending them scattering off to go find something, ANYTHING they could find that would hold water and could scoop up a fair amount of it.

☾ The Twin Captains of the Night and Day Pirates x ☼ ♦◊ Luna & Sunny ◊♦ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ xxxxxSunny got down to her knees and made a small pail out of sunlight (was there anything that she couldn't do with that stuff?) and started to help Shinji scoop it out. "Hey, Shinji, you're a lot more understanding than I thought you'd be," she said, meaning it as a compliment. Truth be told, Sunny had some bullies in her past (though none were quite as menacing as a giant fish-girl). She'd never had the strength to stand up to him until her sister came and beat him up for her. Of course, Luna being Luna, Sunny didn't get away without being scolded and a (light) punch to the forehead. But that was before... "I think it's admirable that you're going this far to defend your village. Especially since, after everything, you're allowing a chance for reasoning." Sunny smiled brightly; if there were more men like Shinji in the world, the world would probably be the way it was in Sunny's head; bright and cheery, where there's a bit of good in everyone's heart.

NPC (Shinji)
Shinji merely smiled and shook his head. There was more to this man than perhaps he let on, but all that he would show was a middle aged, perhaps overly perceptive/nosy, charismatic fisherman. As he squeezed himself down further into the shaft, filling and handing buckets to a chain of people who then ran and emptied them into the sea, he chuckled as she spoke, then returning with words of his own....though only in between presences of the younger generation. "Heh, you flatter me. All I know is that something has to be done now, or once she fully recovers, there won't be a village on Honeycomb to trade with. If you can persuade it to leave or somehow make it go away, everyone'll benefit. Personally, I don't know why it's here at all, safe haven aside. The amount of fish it eats couldn't sustain a merfolk of that size for very long at all. We've been blessed with huge amounts for the last year or so, but beyond that...yeah. You get the idea, right? To sum it all up, there once was a man, and he wrote a simple phrase...or was it that he spoke it? Ehh, anyway...what he said was "The pen is mightier than the sword". Now, this isn't anything to do with pens or swords, but I think it means diplomacy over war, if you take their symbolic meanings literally." Shinji noted before gruffly hefting a bucket and handing it to a waiting young woman, whom he exchanged his bucket for hers. They were back now, and thus, he kept quiet.

☾ The Twin Captains of the Night and Day Pirates x ☼ ♦◊ Luna & Sunny ◊♦ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ xxxxxSunny nodded, but figured he didn't want to talk of being diplomatic in front of the kids. Everyone was so riled up by all of this... it was amazing to know that they cared enough for their village to fight their fears. Sunny paused in her work to wipe some sweat from her brow. "Not that I'm complaining, but when will we be done with this?" Not that they'd know it, but Sunny was on a strict schedule. If she didn't make it back to her boat by sundown, things wouldn't be pretty for anyone, especially the monster-girl.

NPC (Shinji)
"Who knows. It might be minutes, it could be hours, it might take a day, depending on the energy and manpower I have helping me. The other factor is how much water's been displaced in this tunnel. Never fully explored it, but I know it opens up somewhere. Got nothing that'll move the water faster. What kind of a timetable limitation are you working on though? Since you seem worried about it, I imagine it factors in a great deal. You used some light powers, so my guess is that they're fueled by the sun, or at the least, are empowered by it. Without it, you're son out of luck, huh?" Shinji took a stab at the basis of why Sunny wanted to know how long it was going to take. Sure, she might've just been impatient to get on with it, but the fact of the powers having light to them would most certainly factor in if the strength of her powers was based on the time of day or how much sunlight was visible. Theoretically, the powers should work at any time, since the light from the moon was simply sunlight reflecting, but with devil fruit users, sometimes the conditions were unusual.

☾ The Twin Captains of the Night and Day Pirates x ☼ ♦◊ Luna & Sunny ◊♦ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ xxxxxOnce again, Sunny was amazed at Shinji's perceptiveness. Once more, he'd hit the nail on the head- well, he'd come very close. "You're right. I can't use my powers at night; but there's more to it than that. By eating the devil fruit, I suppose I'm kind of... made out of sunlight. Physical attacks won't hurt me much. However... the downside of it is that the minute the sun sets, physical attacks can hurt me and I completely lose my energy." Sunny paused, "Putting it bluntly, I faint." There was part of it she wasn't telling him though. There were many times when Sunny would faint during a fight. Almost always, her twin came to her rescue just in time. Hardly any of the people survived after an encounter with an enraged Luna, and then, come morning in the fifteen minutes Luna and Sunny were up at the same time, Sunny always got scolded. And if there was one thing Sunny hated, it was Luna in a bad mood.

NPC (Shinji)
Shinji kept on working, listening while working. It wouldn't be a worthwhile effort if everyone just sat down and listened solely. He continued working his way down into the newly uncovered tunnel as the water continued to drain via bucket excavation. At last, his bucket went in, and pulled out, and the remainder gave way, revealing the tunnel down into the lair. "Ah-ha! Well, pardon me if I seemed rude to keep working, but if you're on a schedule, then it woudl be important to get you to your goals before your battery dies out, ehh? We've arrived. I don't know how you plan on getting down, but with all the time elapsed, you probably only have an hour until the sun goes down. If your power works in this lack of any real light, then that's good. Otherwise, I might suggest we try again tomorrow...if there is a tomorrow for us. Unless you have a back up plan waiting on your vessel?"

☾ The Twin Captains of the Night and Day Pirates x ☼ ♦◊ Luna & Sunny ◊♦ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ xxxxxSunny nodded. "An hour sounds about right. I'll be back up in no time." For a minute, Sunny thought maybe by 'back-up plan' he knew about Luna, but that was absurd. She'd locked the door to their boat's cabin when she left. Besides, if he knew Luna, he'd know she was no back-up plan. She would be enraged if she knew what Sunny was up to. She would be enraged at the townsfolk for letting her do it; if Sunny ran out of time, there was no doubt in her mind Luna would find and save her. And then go on a rampage about people letting someone like Sunny do such a dangerous job by herself. "Nikko Nikko no Safa!" Like before, the small, golden surf board appeared beneath Sunny's feet, and as she started to float off the ground, She turned to Shinji once more. "Don't worry about me; I'll be fine!" Without another word or hesitation, Sunny was plummeting down the tunnel and into the lion's den.

Alka Masaomamono
The tunnel was actually a lot shorter than what was imagined, as it opened out to near darkness. It actually was fairly full of water, and despite her color scheme, Alka was not to be seen. Sounds of sloshing and splashing did indicate her presence, but vision distance was probably no further than arm's length. On the flip side of the coin, Alka was quickly alerted to Sunny's presence, a fact she made aware of through violent flailing and splashing as she readied to intercept Sunny, her hand aiming to grab the light source. Of course, at the range, Sunny would probably be able to see the white hand reaching to grasp her before it was in range to do so, but it was obvious that Alka knew both that she was there, and indeed where. That and she could see again. Not a good turn of events.

☾ The Twin Captains of the Night and Day Pirates x ☼ ♦◊ Luna & Sunny ◊♦ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ xxxxxSunny's board glowed a dim orange in the lack of light. She dodged the hand narrowly, doing an awkward front/side flip in the darkness. "H-hey! Please listen to me! My name is Sunny Tarde; I don't want to hurt you!" Sunny paused before going on, curious as to if she had the girl's attention. "I'm sorry we attacked you; we thought you were a sea king or a monster. Please understand, given the past..." Sunny stopped, "No, you may very well have your own reasons for attacking the ships here. Just... please. Let's talk."

Alka Masaomamono
Sunny's words seemed not to have a lot of effect, producing only silence at first. A splash of water displaced was heard, followed then by a rush of her face coming into view. The board's light might not have produced a lot of light, but obviously enough to illuminate the monster's face. Human, or humanoid at least, and a distrusting glare was upon her face. "What is it you want? Why do you bother me here in my home?...More importantly, give me one good reason not to simply drown you in the sea water all around here. It works as good as my hand does against you other fruit users. You blinded me...do you have ANY idea how terrifying it is not to be able to see when you've relied on sight to get you anywhere and everywhere the entirety of your life?! It took me fifteen minutes of scraping and bumping into other things before I found the entrance, and it's only now that I can start seeing things clearly again." Clearly unhappy, Alka's huge face loomed in front of Sunny, the distrusting glare replaced by a more frustrated, at ends of rope sort of desperation sort of glare. It wasn't the first time she'd been mistaken for a sea king, or even a monster. The latter was actually far more common to label her as, as she heard while closer to the surface. This was one person, didn't have a ship, and unless her power also involved pulling ridiculously large objects from out of nowhere, probably wasn't here on the business which had gotten her so opposed to anything marine or large ship themed. She'd let the girl explain herself, and maybe a little more. It wasn't as if she could make her leave, considering she had no idea of just how she'd gotten down there to begin with.

☾ The Twin Captains of the Night and Day Pirates x ☼ ♦◊ Luna & Sunny ◊♦ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ xxxxxSunny couldn't help but be a little scared when Alka popped up in front of her. Who wouldn't be? Her face was gigantic, and the way the light cast shadows over it was eerie in itself. She listened intently to the girl's rant, though she was confused at the 'blinded me' part. "Blinded you... did I? I'm sorry, I'm sorry, my devil fruit has to do with the sun, and that's just the way I gather the energy for the attack. I assure you I had no intentions of blinding you!" Sunny looked down at her feet, feeling awkward under the scrutinizing glare of the girl. "I came to apologize for attacking you. I heard what the townsfolk said about you and immidiately assumed you were some kind of terrible monster, but I was wrong. You're... well, part of you is human, right? Well, maybe not human, but you understand just as much as we do, and you feel. I believe that's all it takes... everyone has a little good in them, right?" Sunny smiled, looking expectantly to the girl. "I just came to try and make peace."

Jason D. Black Don't let the darknes, ever get in your head Jason jumped on the island and fell flat on the ground. His back turned into black fire as he scanned the area and drained the energie. "Jep... pure and tasty energie..." He said as he was laying there with his arms open. After a while he stood up. "I'm going to take a look around, See you guys later" And without waiting for a reply, Jason was already running trough a forrest. After a while he stopped and looked for some food. He took some grapes and walked further. Suddenly, he saw a turret near the ocean. He heared voices coming from out of the tunnel and then saw the boat. Jason started to jump on some rocks in the tunnel and holding himself on the side. The tunnel was filled with water and he didn't want to fall in it. He sat behind a rock when he saw a women in the water, probably a merfolk, and another women on a board. "This should be intresting..." He said wisphering.
