"Aw, why not?" the crimson-eyed man asked, sensing Tambrey's uneasiness. "Afraid we'll see something we're not supposed to see...?" He giggled, as if that were exactly his intention. He let it slide, however, as she changed the topic to her arm.

"That giant metal ariados again!" he laughed. "Second time I've heard about it. Didn't quite believe it when Frosty-chan told me, but seems like he got injured from it too. Sounds pretty nasty." He tilted his head. "Oh? If you weren't, then who do you think was?"

Izaya ignored Celty's glare at him from the table. He knew full well she was afraid of aliens and UFOs, but she couldn't help but watch them when they were put on. Her reasoning was that if she knew enough about them before they came to invade, then she'd be prepared when they finally did. Izaya found her fear quite amusing and ironic, considering she was something of a supernatural creature herself.

"Well, Saleen," he spoke up. "I guess the final vote's up to you."

Ambrosia's ears twitched, naughty? She was not naughty! That human was naughty! And he deserved it! The zorua however, didn't even bother to lift her head from her current resting spot. She wasn't going to argue with that stupid pygmy bird! Saleen nodded in response to Izaya's response to her apology. "Alright." she said. Ambrosia was going to hear it later though, Saleen just didn't like to yell in front of others. Callista didn't count as an 'other' however. Annoying girl always seemed to be around at the most inconvenient times! When Tambrey mentioned the 'incident' Saleen sighed. Her frist raid experience...and what an odd one it was...

Somehow I managed to not get hurt. I was knocked down, but I didn’t get hurt. Though I wound up taking care of that one guy…tall..red hair…until Agent Mau appeared to air lift him back on his Pidgeot. Speaking of which, weren’t you on the pidgeot to? Or am I mistaken.” Saleen asked of Tamrey. “And yes, they were real. And there were these giant balls. What’s his name…the leader of team Galactic threw them and they held twenty-something pokemon in one ball! We managed to get one. The tech department should be messing with it. I wonder if we will use those pokeballs in the future. They seemed very useful, minus the size.” said Saleen. While being able to capture and command so many pokemon at once is useful…having a pokeball the size of a basketball..not so useful.

While looking at surveillance tapes sounded fun, it also sounded like a recipe for disaster. “I am not sure if that’s such a good idea…the tapes I mean…” said Saleen. The only person she figured who could get away with it would be this 1337 she has heard about. But she also heard that he has gotten in a great deal of trouble…

Though to be honest. I will probably head up to my room soon so I may not be here to finish the movie. Which is why I am willing to let you two pick.” said Saleen as she stretched out her neck a bit.

"Quite frankly, yes. And then we'll be in trouble."
Tambrey nodded awkwardly then recalled the raid.
"Er... Y-yes. Panther made a.. sort of a sling and I rode back with that guy on the Pidgeot... To, uh, stop him falling off... As awkward as that was with one arm..." She twitched her lip a little at the memory. Still... riding a Pidgeot. If she hadn't been in pain and supporting... oh, what was his name again? Well. Still... One day. She eyed Pygi for a moment. Hm. One day.
"And... er... yes... That guy I shared the journey back with... He was really injured. I know Frost was hurt too... That... Shaymin thing. And... yes... The Multi-pokeball or whatever we're callin' it now. Tried to release monsters on us and instead gave us rats and little birds... The Galactic lot are... interestin' people as much as they're dangerous."

Pygi didn't seem to mind too much that her knew friend had gone quiet, though she was confused by the glare. Still, some pokemon did glare all the time so maybe this was normal. She hopped a little and turned her head to the TV. She didn't get to watch films or anything often; another pokemon was usually out instead and Tam' seemed to mostly take them out one at a time. To be out to see a film was kind of exciting.

"Hrm. Well, if you're sure you don't mind," directed to Saleen "and I really don't mind... though the ditto one and the, uh, ghost one sound pretty interesting... Er. It's just really up t' you though." Directed toward Izaya.

"Oh, so you were there too, Saleen-chan?" Izaya asked. He listened intently to the recounting of previous events. "I didn't realize. Sounds like one heck of a party you guys had. Shame I missed it. Probably stuck doing basic training at the time." He gave a sour smile. "Good to know at least you weren't hurt, though. And I hope you heal quickly, Tambery. You must have acted quite nobly."

He blinked. "Twenty-something pokemon? My, that is quite something. I think I'd have to see that for myself." Orihara laughed. "Maybe I'll pay a visit to the tech department some time, then...not that I'd want one. It seems like getting just one pokemon to obey you is troublesome enough as it is."

Sighing heavily as both girls declined his suggestion about the tapes, he shook his head, smiling sadly. "No sense of adventure," he lamented. "Ah, well. Perhaps another time." He got up off the couch to stretch his arms behind his head himself.

Celty, who had been lost in thought, suddenly seemed to remember Pygi was there. She quickly bowed her head, crooning an apology. 'O-oh, I see now. I'm sorry, I lost myself for a minute. Thank you for explaining, she told the tiny bird, genuinely grateful. I'm sorry your trainer was hurt. I'm sure your mother is wonderful.

Walking over to the player, Izaya looked through a nearby shelf. "Let's see...mmm...ah, here it is. They actually have it." He picked up the cover of the disk, the title reading 'Repossessed'. "I'm surprised. Sorry, Tam-chi, but I really can't remember the name of the ditto movie. I hope this will do instead." Taking out the disk, he placed it into the player and changed the channel.

"Heh... Party. Hm. And, I wouldn't say that... I noticed a Shaymin exploding too late and got flung through the air. A lot was going on... That pokeball though... It was pretty interesting. I bet tech's loving that we got one of those..."

She grinned nervously for a moment and nodded slightly quickly.
"No sense of adventure. I'm afraid tha's right." Another time... Hrm. Fine as long as certain things weren't on those tapes. And she wasn't around to potentially get in trouble either; those higher ups always sounded pretty intimidating to her.

"Don't, uh, worry about the Ditto movie... 's jus' sounded like somethin' I might like watching. I'll probably keep an eye out the next time 'm in a town or somethin'..." Maybe she'd ask her mother on the next phone call; it sounded rather like something she'd watch too... "Mm. A lot of stuff the base has surprises me sometimes... I guess people jus' buy stuff every so often and leave 't in here when they're done watchin' it."

Pygi fluffed herself happily. This ghost pokemon was very polite and nice; perhaps her mother had ghost-types completely wrong... She would have to tell Palu about this and ask.
{{Oh, she is! She's so pretty and she has this nice scarf that she lets me hide under with her sometimes! She's a Pidgeotto! Like I will be soon! I cannot wait to be like her!}} The little bird smiled as best as a beak would allow and then tilted her head. {{I was sorry that Tambrey was hurt too... I was not allowed to go on the mission when she was hurt; she said I was too small. I think humans must be quite hard to break though, because I think she is being fixed quite quickly.}}

Izaya nodded in acknowledgement as he returned to his seat on the couch. "I'll let you know if I remember the title. Shame it slipped my mind." Relaxing as the movie started and the trailers began to play, the grunt smirked at their pokemon who still appeared to be conversing in quiet tones on the table. It was good that Celty was getting a little social time. He liked that she was quiet, but being too quiet and secluded could cause her to be withdrawn and that wasn't good for anyone. He wasn't a very 'bonding' trainer, so to speak, so the fact that she could bond with other pokemon was probably a good sign.

Celty tilted her head curiously at Pygi's fluffing behavior, find it both strange and cute at the same time. It seemed to match the tiny bird's mood. 'A scarf you can hide in? That sounds very snug, to warm up with your mother like that. A whirring sound like good-natured laughter emitted from the purple spirit pokemon. If you grow up too fast, though, you won't be able to savortime you have to be with her as you are now, like while you can still hide under her scarf. I'm sure you'll make a wonderful Pidgeotto and make Mumma proud, but that will come in time. Don't be too eager. Enjoy life as you are.

Nodding in agreement with Tambrey's decision, the Spiritomb seemed grave. 'Humans can definitely be very durable, she concluded, but not always little pokemon. It's a good thing you weren't hurt. I'm sure your mother would have been devestated.

{{Oh, um, I know I should not want to grow up so fast... And Mumma says I should enjoy being small while I am and that evolution is something to look forward to... Mumma can't evolve anymore. But one day, I'm going to be bigger than Tambrey even! I just know I'm getting stronger already...}} The little bird warbled on happily. {{Lasi wants to evolve before I do- he's fun, I like Lasi- so we're having a competition for when we do, but I am not going to be stopping from playing with Mumma even when I am big. And then I can go on missions too, because I won't be small, and I can help Tambrey and everyone.}}

Tambrey sat and smiled at the pokemon before turning her attention back to the screen and then to Izaya.
"Thanks." She smiled. "If I find it aft' that, I'll make sure t' leave it in here for watchin' 'gain. Like people 'ave done wi' the others."
PostPosted: Mon May 02, 2011 10:38 pm

"Will you?" The grunt looked at Tambrey. "Well, then. Let me know if you do. I don't think I'd mind watching it again myself."

Beaming at the tiny bird pokemon, Celty mused silently at Pygi's confidence and admirable ambitions. 'That sounds like a good plan. Is Lasi going to become a Pidgeotto too?' she asked, curious about Pygi's rival. 'Is Tambrey also his trainer?'

The Spiritomb seemed to jump as the sudden sound of a scream emitted behind her. She turned to view the television, taking a moment to realize it was coming from the movie before Izaya's harsh bark of laughter caused her to turn back to him.

"Don't worry, Celty," he assured her, though it sounded more like a jeer than a consolation. "It's just a movie. Ghost-types don't suck souls from the living like that...usually." He looked thoughtful. "I wonder if they have souls themselves, or if they can suck each other's souls."

Celty seemed to give a visible shudder. She didn't want to think about it. Curse Izaya for trying to scare her. She was very sensitive to the sound of screams - after all, she heard them a lot when people saw her. The Spiritomb gave her trainer a dirty look and turned back to Pygi. 'Do you like scary movies?'

"I will." Tambrey smiled, before eyeing the screen. Hm. The film itself was starting. "Snacks." She declared, hopping up to cross to the snack machine. A clunk or two could be heard before Tambrey bent, reaching for a drink and a packet of something with her one available hand. "Did you want anythi-" Thud. She'd backed up into the machine after jumping at the screen... "This film doesn' waste time, does 't..?" The dark-haired woman muttered, carefully attempting to retrieve her items once more.

Pygi shook her little head back and forth for no.
<> The little bird explained, completely unsure of what it was that a Zubat might possibly turn into.
As the scream made Celty jump, it caused all of Pygi's feathers to puff out at once and her pupils to dilate. What was happening? Oh.. the film. Gradually the puffball seemed to be deflating.
<> The little bird admitted. She didn't know if she liked them or not. That scream had been scary though...
PostPosted: Wed May 04, 2011 1:53 pm

"Snacks?" Izaya twisted around to see where Tambrey was going. "Ooh, good thinking! Do they have iced tea, or fruit juice?" Giggling as she jumped, he shook his head. "No, no, that's just the intro. That's not the real danger. See? That haunter's fake. The actual one doesn't come 'til later. The character who screamed is supposed to be an actress in a school play," he explained.

"...Oh no," he murmured, frowning before chuckling. "I just realized this has a bit of romance in it too. Maybe I'm just a subconscious romantic at heart." Hopping over the couch, he went to assist the one-armed girl in retrieving her snacks before putting in a few coins to buy some for himself. He bought quite a bit - enough to share with them and their pokemon. Mostly it consisted of candy, crackers, cookies, and chips, with a couple of cans of iced tea and juice. "Hurry, hurry! The main character's coming in soon," he urged, excitedly ushering her back toward the couch.

'Oh. Then...I think he will turn into a Golbat,' Celty replied. 'And maybe a Crobat after that. So even if you turn into a Pidgeotto first, he might become a Crobat before you become a Pidgeot.' Blinking curiously at Pygi, Celty stared. 'You haven't? But you must! They're highly entertaining,' she assured the little bird. 'And even scary ones like this make you feel braver once you've watched them. Plus if anything like that ever happens in real life, you'll know what to do about it!'

Tambrey muttered something about 'cheap scares' and the movie 'not playing fair', though most of her sentence was clearly designed to be unheard and mumbly.
She peered at the vending machine as the question was asked and nodded.
"Ice tea. Yes. Looks like the juice is either boxed or bottles... Huh. Wonder who refills these things 'r collects the coins fr'm 'm... 've never been sent on a snack refillin' mission though I s'pose I'm in the labs more than out..." She mused, suddenly distracted for a moment before she found herself ushered back toward the sofa.
"Okay, okay... I don't think we're missin' much yet?" She smiled; his enthusiasm for the film was rather cute. And she had to admit, she did rather want to hurry on back to watching it herself once the romance angle had been mentioned but, like her love of contests, she wasn't too keen to let such a thing on so quickly after meeting anyone.
"Thanks." She remembered to say, for the help, then, after sitting, adjusted and wiped her glasses quickly before turning slightly sideways while watching to ask "So. When you say main char'cter... Do y'mean the human or is the ghost th'main character in this..?"

Pygi paced and hopped a little... Golbat, Crobat... And he might get to either first? Well that lent a new fun pressure into her good natured race... not that she knew what either a Golbat or a Crobat was...
Her musings were cut short as the little featherball puffed up at the scary film and listened to what her new friend told her. So watching this would make her feel brave... Excellent! Watch it, she would!
<>
Technically, she supposed she could talk to the Zorua, but she'd been naughty and bitten someone... and she didn't seem particularly friendly... The bird was very pleased that Celty was around.
PostPosted: Thu Jul 14, 2011 3:04 pm

Laughing aloud at Tambrey's barely audible mutterings, Izaya patted her comfortingly on her uninjured shoulder. "It'll get better. You'll see."

He continued to amuse himself at her ponderings of the vending machine. "Who knows. Maybe they're owned by the Boss himself." Flopping onto the couch with the bags of snacks in his lap, the grunt opened a bag of chips and crunched one loudly.

Celty glanced at him and he gave her a wink, having chosen crunchy chips specifically to take some of the suspense out of the movie. Horror flicks weren't nearly as scary with some obnoxious chip-crunching in the background. Though he had seen the film before, it almost seemed as though he were trying to make things less frightening for Tambrey and Pygi. Celty tilted her head curiously as she wondered at this.

"Oh, see - there? You can tell she likes that one. Even the way she insults him is filled with affection," the brunette laughed, though it was difficult to tell if he was being sarcastic or not. "Eh? Oh, for the snacks. No problem!" he replied to her thanks, beaming at her cheerily. "The humans are the main characters. The haunter that comes in later is the main antagonist. Or at least...he seems that way at first."

"I don't want to give away the whole thing, but the general synopsis is that the haunter possesses the body of the boy the girl likes," Izaya explained, nibbling on a chip before offering her the bag. "He finds out more about humans and human emotions and then starts to like the girl, while the girl starts to wonder why she's suddenly getting attention from this boy who never noticed her before. I won't say any more than that, but it's the twist at the end that I enjoy most."

'Of course I'll stay,' Celty replied with an assuring smile. 'I love movies like this. Even if I didn't, though, I couldn't just leave you to brave it out all on your own, could I?' She whirred pleasantly. 'But Pygi, I'm sure you could if you wanted. You seem brave enough to me already - especially for such a small, young pokemon.' Turning her attention back to the television, the Spiritomb sighed dreamily. 'So this movie is about human and pokemon romance...? I wonder if it's strange to think that sounds nice...'

((If you want, we can wrap this up soon seeing as though I'm not sure how long the whole movie might take. XD We can do a time skip if you like or just keep on going as we are.))

"Hm. I'm sure 't will. 's just, 'm not... good with sudden scares like that." Tambrey admitted, a little bashfully. "And, 'm sure the boss does own the machines, but, well, I jus' don't think he, himself, goes around collecting the money and filling the machines. 'm pretty sure it'll be something us Grunt-types'll be sent off to do every so often."

The crunch of the chip got a little wrinkle of Tam's nose, but aside from the slight motion, there was no other sign to indicate any displeasure at the loud noise.

"I see." Was the first response as Izaya explained the situation of the film and remarked on certain characters. She watched for a few moments longer with just a nod, but changes in her facial expression showed that most of the skepticism she'd tried to project was being replaced with rather a keen and genuine interest following the explanation. "This... actually does sound better than that start made me think 't would... And nae giving away the twist; I'm actually intrigued by 't now."

Pygi cooed brightly at the compliment and puffed herself up proudly as she sat, comfortable now, beside the friendly ghost type.
<> She then tilted her head, having not considered such a thought as the theme of the film before, and regarded the TV, then Celty, then Izaya, and back. <>
PostPosted: Sun Oct 02, 2011 12:07 pm

"Well, then, sit closer and I'll whisper to you when a scary part's about to pop up," the informant offered. "As for the machines...you're probably right. I guess we'll find out if we ever get assigned to do something like that," he chuckled. At least it wasn't as bad as being sent all the way to the Camphoreon outpost just to get liquid soap refills.

Izaya smirked as Tambrey's expression gradually changed to one of interest and she admitted that she thought the plot was starting to sound intriguing. He shifted so that he could put his legs up on the couch and cross them under him, grabbing a small bag of cookies as he leaned forward. He smiled silently as the movie continued to play, laughing when the curious Haunter possessed the bewildered boy. There was also a time he nearly fell from the couch as the Haunter had trouble keeping possession of the body in the boy's bathroom, caught in a bit of a mess when his classmates began to worry about him.

As time passed, the story progressed to the point where the young heroine began to realize the boy wasn't acting as he normally did and that he was actually somewhat kinder than before. Despite being enthralled that her crush was finally paying attention to her, she was observant enough to notice little quirks and mannerisms that the young man had not before displayed. These were, of course, the attempts of the Haunter to fit in with other humans.

Celty nestled closer to the little bird pokemon, wondering what it was like to have feathers. She felt all warm and fuzzy thinking about it, but also wondered if that warm and fuzzy feeling was the result of what Pygi had said to her. Was Pygi really glad that she was watching with her? That was sweet. The Spiritomb couldn't remember the last time she was told that someone was glad that she was around. <That's a good way to put it,> she agreed with the flying-type. <Any romance sounds nice. Pokemon and humans all just seem to want the same thing - to be loved.>

The grunt hesitated... and then did as he offered, before considering the idea of that assignment.
"I have a feeling that the more we mention it, the more likely someone might end up assignin' us to do just that..." Tambrey quietly muttered, but then turned her attention to the playing film.
The entertainment was enough, apparently, to quell her nerves about sitting closer or being a little shy; she seemed quite happy in watching the scenes and appreciative of them.
She laughed, and grinned, at the appropriate parts, as well as some of Izaya's reactions to them, though her reactions were certainly rather more subdued and a little more quietly appreciative of the humour.
Her favourite funny part seemed to be when he nearly fell off the couch, rather than the scene in the film itself, but as the plot continued, her eyes became rather more stuck on the screen.
Tambrey was definitely enjoying the story.

Pygi bobbed her head in response to Celty; that was a thought she could definitely agree with.
<> The bird didn't even consider the oddness of the statement she was about to put forward regarding the pokemon-centric criminal organisation. <> The bird then fluffed further, as if worried she may not be comfortable enough for the ghost already, settling to watch more of the film.
