How much experience do you have as a role-play manager? Can you provide links to the past shops you worked at or RP events you ran, if any (preferably ones with five or more participants)? Good deal of experience.

Soquili - RP events, mainly prompt response contests, flatsales, and raffles.

In The Name Of The Moon - was one of the managers in the Barren Pines event. I also did some general managerial work there that wasn't very visible re: storyline stuff and executive decisions, helped judge civilian and upgrade contests, etc.

What sort of events are you interested in running? Just about anything. I like the idea of the classes and how they're interactive, I also like the little in-thread minipet/silver pumpkinseed giveaway games. I'm totally fine with judging huge piles of entries in RP/other contests too.

What interests you the most about This is Halloween? It's a new spin on some old and well-liked concepts - a monster high school. I like that it doesn't take itself seriously at all, I think that is one of the things that allows people to have more fun and do some pretty ridiculous things that just aren't possible or plausible in more real world settings. I think being so open and loose does make it a good setting for people to achieve what they want with their characters.
If you were given a professor character, what class would they teach and why? What class are YOU most interested in teaching? APPLIED MATHEMATICS. Sure, you use it to count your pumpkin seeds and your minipets, but most students wouldn't stop to think that math ever did anything good for them. Well, all that is about to change. Using the arcane powers of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, students can make the most of themselves and then some. They'll walk away from the class learning everything from how to divide their attention and effort more precisely, subtract from all their time stuck doing tedious homework, and create dopplegangers so accurate it'll leave battle opponents seeing double.

I'm really open to working with anything needed though.
Would you be interested in RPing a pre-existing teacher? I'm wary only because there's already a set idea for these teachers personality-wise and I may not be as compatible with that as with something of my own to teach the same class. I guess it's a 'depends which teacher' sort of thing.

Title: Wanted Signs
Summary: This is a single-entry contest. Anyone would be able to enter, regardless of whether they had a student. The idea is for people to design silly posters they'd want to see around Amityville, anything from un-helpful messages, stating the obvious, (de)motivating, and scaring kids straight. For those without art programs, the contest accepts both poster images and written slogan ideas + a written description of the poster. The funniest five entries would win.
Opening Post:

Pinned to every notice board around the school and cheerfully plastering the wall outside the office was a flyer. Sandwiched between the killer clown clip-art and oversized comic sans was a short message about school spirit and creativity and going on to do something with your life. Also how the school's motivational and educational posters had vanished under mysterious and highly flammable circumstances earlier that year, and maybe possibly the student body could take it upon themselves to design some new ones that spoke to the youth of today. The prize? Satisfaction of a job well done.

Failing that, the flyer mentioned that they did happen to have a few Wishing Crystals lying around for the five most 'inspiring' posters and slogans. Maybe you should give this contest a try...

Have you worked elsewhere on Gaia before? Please provide links and a frame of time, and please indicate whether or not you are still working for that shop or not. I don’t have links to the shops I worked at prior most of them I don’t really remember names for, and I don’t know that they still exist. I know of the most recent one of the shops I worked at was having troubles; it’s name was Plains o Saighneian (Around 2009 to earlyish 2010). Everything else was pretty well around 2003/2004. I do however have samples from a few of the shops I worked at, if you’d like to see them I’ll be happy to link you to the album in which they’re in. I no longer work for any shop on Gaia at current time though.

How long does it take for me to make a character? It varies often from piece to piece but often I’d say a week max, occasionally a little longer if I don’t like the shading/there’s tweaks to be made. I often get to work on these at night for 2~4 hours at a time.

What sort of events are you interested in running?I love to run RP events! Right now, I have to confess, I've become a bit of a Reality show junkie (You should see my DVR record list...) and I'd LOVE to put together some sort of reality tv-esque event! I'd also be willing do raffles, flaffles, RP flats (I really like these, because I enjoy reading all the creative entries), auctions, dice games or anything else people needed assistance with.

What interests you the most about This is Halloween? I've always been a Disney fan, so some of the little Disney stuff that slips in is awesome. I only actually saw Nightmare Before Christmas for the first time partway through college (Yay, strict mom thinking it was an evil evil movie!), but I've loved it since I saw it, and so the nostalgia factor is always fun.
What I love the most about TiH is the community and the atmosphere! I've only been here for a couple weeks and the owners/artists were all very welcoming and the shop patrons themselves are amazing and friendly, I've even already begun talking to some on AIM! I love that non-character owners are invited to participate (and I love equally that there are some things, like the holiday mini's, are reserved for character owners) and that they're all very supportive of each other, they seem genuenly happy for someone if they should get a character they've quested for. Everyone seems to act a bit like a family, and it would be so awesome to join something like that.
If you were given a professor character, what class would they teach and why? What class are YOU most interested in teaching?Taught by the ghostly mistress Jane Haunten, Monster Literature! After all, every little ghoul and boil needs to learn the great classics, like Anne of Gorey Gables, Frankenstein, Sense and Sea Monsters, and The Adventures of Tom Chain-Sawer. They will read exerts of these and other novels, as well as the poem works of Emily Deadington and e.e. killings and discuss their impact on society.

Summary: Starting out with 15 silver pumpkin seeds, players will use a combination of skill and luck in this card game to win the coveted crystals!
Opening Post:You've enter a dark, dank room. Silver pumpkin seeds jingle in your pocket as you sit down at the table with others and place your 15 seed buy-in on the table.

"The game is Grinning Jack," the shady dealer says, shuffling the cards. "What'll ya bet?"

((OOC:: You have started out with 15 pumpkin seeds and are playing Black Jack! Please place your bet by posting "I'm Betting: [Amount]!" in bold purple. In the same post, please roll ONE 20-sided dice. This is your first card.
You may choose to STAND or HIT. If you choose to HIT, post "HIT ME!" in bolded purple and roll ONE 6-sided dice. The player with the closest to 21 for the round will get their bet back, doubled and the rest of the players will lose their bet. Sadly not much as a manager but I like to rp so I know how it all works. I am an rp manager at this Hogwarts based shop which is on hiatus at the moment. I am willing to learn what it needed though! I am also one of the two owner list updaters at Matope.
What sort of events are you interested in running? What ever needs to be done! Rp events look like fun or small in thread raffles. I prefer things that take more time then less since I'm a grad school student so I have to like write my thesis and crap and some point.

What interests you the most about This is Halloween? Probably going to sound like everyone else but I love the movie this is based around. The stop motion animation is amazing, I'm a computer person so cool things like that amaze me. The story that was built off of it here is very cool and I love all the different creatures and what not you can be. Everyone else is just so nice, those that work here and those that are just shop goers. Also the minipets allow those without a creature yet to have some fun too. Letting people who don't have a character participate in the event was just a great experience to get to mess around with a quest character.
If you were given a professor character, what class would they teach and why? What class are YOU most interested in teaching? Muggle studies I mean, a Human studies class. Yeah my love of Harry Potter but come on! A class teaching about humans would be entertaining. Even better taught by someone who has never met a human and is making up half the facts!
Would you be interested in RPing a pre-existing teacher? Sure, if that helps out the shop more!

Title: Carnival Strings
Summary: The idea behind this one is simple. We have here a number of strings, we'll say 100 to keep it simple. Everyone (only up to 100 sorry) gets to pick a string. Strings can only be picked once, so once '21' is picked no one else may use it. Each string will have a different 'prize', the five crystals and a bunch of random useless stuff (like dirt or something odd). Once each number has been picked, prizes are revealed!

What's this?

You were walking the streets when you came to a shady character dressed up like a ringmaster.

"Step right up!" He says to you. "Try your luck, won't you, at my little game. It is quite easy. All you do it pick a string and get the prize at the end."

You look at him, unsure and about to walk away.

"No! Don't leave." He mumbles and it sounds something like 'like all the others.' "It's free, I swear. Just pick one and get a prize. No catch!"

He looks sad so you decide to pick one. Before you is a table with 100 strings that lead to...somewhere? Which number will you choose?

Shadows of Africa – I started as a certist but eventually did more work. I revamped/reorganized the thread and guild (with a couple of people) and was part of a team in charge of the god system (revamping, approving quests, etc). I also was in charge of the guild announcements and helped reinstate the quester’s charity in the shop. (No longer work here)
Tora Tora Island – A shop that I co-own with Fairymount. I’m in charge of monitoring RP, customs, colorist work, etc. I also set up and run most of the events. The shop idea/history was created as part of a team effort between myself and Fairymount and is still evolving as the needs arises. (Still work here!)

What sort of events are you interested in running? Anything. I have had more than my fair share of experience keeping up with raffle lists and judging rp contests, though I do enjoy running events that involve more creativity than the average dice game.

What events (auctions, raffles, RP contests, etc) do you have experience with? Please provide links if any: Raffles, Auctions, ‘Secret Santa’ style give-aways, RP contests (I’ve done too many to count in SoA, both as part of staff and not), in-thread games (both in SoA and TTI) and other stuff.

What interests you the most about This is Halloween? It combines a lot of movies/ideas that I loved growing up into one compact, organized shop. I also love that it’s more light-hearted than most unique-lined shops and that there’s a system in place to prevent it from dying should artists/GMs quit.

If you were given a professor character, what class would they teach and why? What class are YOU most interested in teaching? “Group Therapy” – Most schools have a hierarchy and TiH is no exception! The class would be based on feel good exercises intended to help students get along with their comrades in a more functional way and also to help improve the self-esteem of students on the lower end of the hierarchy. After all, it’s not a zombie’s fault if they’re falling apart! I think it would be a light-hearted, amusing class with an eccentric teacher who is a little too open with his/her students and perhaps doesn't know the meaning of 'personal bubble'.

Would you be interested in RPing a pre-existing teacher? Yes, I would be fine with that! I’m actually better at making personalities for premade characters most of the time.

Title: Monster May I
Summary: This is a game that anyone can enter, specifically designed to win minipets. It will involve a sign-up period that is probably short to prevent too many participants. The setting is a tall cliff, upon which students (already enrolled or quests) will stand. They are in the center, spread in a horizontal row – ahead of them is a dragon guarding a treasure and behind them is the cliff’s edge. The dragon doesn’t want to share, but he can be won over by politeness! The idea is the ‘Mother May I’ game, where students can take a step forward if they remember to ask for permission or they will be blown backward by the dragon’s ‘wind breath’ if they forget. Remembering or forgetting will be determined by a 10-sided die, odds = forget and evens = remember. Rolling will be done in a pre-determined order to account for ‘rounds’ in the game. The first five students to reach the dragon win a piece of his treasure (a mini-pet), but if the students fail miserably they are in danger of falling off the cliff and being eliminated from the game entirely.
Opening Post: Up on an old plateau overlooking Halloweentown there is rumored to be an old dragon that jealously guards a horde of minipets and treasures. It’s said that those that win him over walk away with a reward but those that fail suffer injury or worse. Everyone’s heard the stories, everyone knows a friend of a friend of a friend who dared to try, but are you brave enough to find out the truth for yourself?

You and a group of students decide that you’re going to figure out this rumor once and for all! You spend all day climbing the old, dusty plateau, walking up the barely visible paths, until the group finally reaches the summit. At first it seems as if there was nothing to this rumor – there’s just a pile of old rocks lumped at one end. Did you really just make this climb for nothing?

Then, all of a sudden, a loud yawn booms from nowhere. The pile of rocks at the end of the plateau begins to shift and move. Are they falling? No, tired golden eyes open to look down at you and your companions as a dragon unfurls himself from around a shining pile of treasure. He stands tall and threatening over his precious horde, staring at you all with a deep and obvious displeasure. Then a deep, rumbling voice rolls over the air.

“Do you have what it takes to win my respect? Come closer little students, if you think you can.”

Actually, one thing to note is I wasn't actually planning on running. I honestly do not think I would make a good GM -- I'm really not creative, and I don't think I'm staff material, to be honest. However, I do stand behind the fact that if someone wants me to help, I'm always here. So... that's what this is about. I don't really feel my application is applicable. ;;;

How much experience do you have as a role-play manager? Can you provide links to the past shops you worked at or RP events you ran, if any (preferably ones with five or more participants)? I worked at quite a few places, although not many really dealt with GMing. The one that did was Vix Moria, although it closed down very quickly due to the artist... well... being a flake ;;; When I was working there, however, I helped judge rp contest entries, come up with IC games for the characters to 'play'/train with, help continue the meta, etc. Of the others, there were more varying degrees of rp management... I ran a hatching at AtWoP, wrote dragon descriptions... I ran Palu Island (a shop Lei and I owned a few years back) which had games, rp contests, auctions, raffles, etc, I ran games at Kuniku for a while... can't think of anything else ;;;
What sort of events are you interested in running? I don't mind, really. Anything that I can help with, although I'm usually better at smaller things. I don't really like being completely in charge, so larger things (for example, Maru's train event) I would much rather be a helping role, as opposed to running it myself. As I mentioned before, I'm also not the most creative. ;;; I do, however, ABSOLUTELY ADORE Cyoas ;;;

What interests you the most about This is Halloween? I dunno. I like that it's interesting, that there're things going on but that you don't necessarily have to play if you don't want. Too many shops, if you miss something, you're just so behind, and I don't really like being so restricted like that. And I like that sometimes you guys let quest characters play, like the Christmas event.
If you were given a professor character, what class would they teach and why? What class are YOU most interested in teaching? This is a hard one. Lack of creativity and all that. I think there're a lot of possibilities that I... just don't have the capacity of thinking of without someone to bounce ideas off of, but one I did think of was History with a 'Time Lord' (ahaha, yeah, had to steal a race. ;; ) I think it'd be kinda fun, because she wouldn't necessarily have to do things linearly. She could come in on the first day like "Alright, where's your homework?" or one day be like "Oh I forgot, ___ you have detention for such-and-such .... oh, you didn't do that? My mistake, hasn't happened yet." xD idk. ;;;; It was just a thought.

Title: Read My Mind. I Dare You.
Summary: Perhaps a game akin to 20 questions? I think it'd be something strange my hypothetical-teacher would propose, although it'd probably be more of a game like Maru's pirate game, where it's a... IC-but-quest-characters-can-play-and-it's-not-really-for-anything-specific-except-fun game. >3>;;; This game could be played alone, where a student 'challenges' and has 20 questions to themselves or as a group, where there are a certain number of people and each person gets a certain number of questions. Or it could be played in-thread, where a minipet is picked and questions are asked about that minipet (animal, mineral or vegetable? OR A COMBINATION?) and at the end (could be the end of five - twenty questions?) people have to post their guess of which minipet.
