"She's really cute, don't you think?" Ricky asked after a few minutes, carefully licking Nena's tuft of fur back into place. She was so tiny...had Ricky herself ever been that tiny? She found it hard to believe...she found it even harder to believe that Conny had been that small--it just didn't seem possible!
"What do you think Pink Mommy's doing?"

"Iiiiiiiiii dunno. Maybe she's looking for more food" but there was already plenty of food "or somewhere to stay" but they were already staying at the river "um...er...I'unno," Leefox finally finished, with a bit of a sheepish grin.
"I'm sure she'll tell us when she gets back though!" she said, tail swishing behind her--right in front of little Nenakit.

Ricky giggled as Nenakit started batting at Leefox's tail--that was too adorable!
"Oh my gosh, Leefox, lookit, she likes your tail! She thinks it's a toy!" Ricky giggled. "You'll make a great hunter someday, Nenakit~"

Leefox giggled, and continued to swish and dangle her tail in font of Nenakit. But gently and slowly, so the little itty bitty teeny tiny kit would be able to catch it, of course.
"She'll be a great whatever she wants to be," Leefox said firmly, although not quite sure where she had gotten that idea from. But she liked it. She bet that Nenakit could do whatever she wanted to, because...well, just because. It was Just One Of Those Things.

"Of course she will," Ricky agreed quickly, nodding matter of factly, smiling as Nenakit caught the fluffy tail between her paws. "Good job," Ricky congratulated her, nuzzling the baby affectionately.
Yes, she definitely agreed with her mate. Nenakit would be whatever she wanted--just look how quickly she had caught Leefox's tail!

Leefox flopped on her back, but was careful to keep her tail still, so she wouldn't shake Nenakit off of it. "D'ya think Pink Mommy is coming back sooooon?" So maybe Pink Mommy hadn't even been gone all that long, but Leefox was just so curious about what Pink Mommy was up to.
"Maybe she's getting a surprise, for you and me and Nenakit, like, a, um...a...a present thing!" Yeah, a present-thing!

"Ooooh, I hope so~ I want a present!" Ricky giggled. "I bet Nenakit wants a present too! Isn't that right, Nenakit," Ricky cooed, laughing as she very gently tugged Nenakit off of Leefox's tail, so she wouldn't just be hanging there for forever and ever and ever and ever and ever.
"Think she's bringing something for Nenakit, too?"

"Well, if she's bringing stuff for us, she's definitely bringing stuff for Nenakit too!" Leefox nodded firmly. "Maybe it's something shiny. Like...um..." she looked over at Kikifox for help. "Not mods. What's shiny that's not mods?" Because Pink Mommy wouldn't be getting them mods, because duh you didn't get those in the middle of the forest!

Ricky nodded, at once agreeing that it wasn't mods--why would Pink Mommy get them mods now of all times when they needed her? Unless it was something shiney for Nenakit to play with? But it wouldn't be anything she could choke on...

"But there are plenty of berries right there," Leefox pointed out, pointing to the bush with her tail. She just didn't know what Pink Mommy was doing. And it was starting to be more than a 'jiffy'.
"Well whatever it is, it's gotta be important, 'cause she wouldn't leave us all alone with Nenakit if it wasn't, 'cause she'd wanna stick around us and help us and play with Nenakit too!" Because who wouldn't want to play with Nenakit, really?

"It's gotta be super important," Ricky agreed, looking back down at Nena. Who /wouldn't/ want to play with her! She was too cute to even want to leave for a moment, which was saying something coming from Ricky, the hyper and pretty ADD one.
"She'll be back soon," Ricky mumured, half to herself and half to Leefox and half to Nenakit. She would, wouldn't she?

"She deeeeeeeefinitely will!" Leefox confidently promised. Pink Mommy would never let them down. Not ever! Never ever ever!
As if on cue, Sigal stepped back into the clearing. "Having fun, girls?" she asked, forcing a smile. How could she gently break the news of what she had found--the trail, lined with patches of fur, and spots of blood? She hadn't found anything definite, but only because she hadn't followed the trail to the end. She knew what had to be down there already. There had been no point in going any further to see it.

Ricky looked up and smiled widely at Pink Mommy, nodding emphatically. "Yea, lots of fun~" she answered, but her smile slowly faded when she saw how weird Pink Mommy was acting.

"Bring?" Sigal repeated, as if she hadn't understood the question. It actually had taken her a second--it was so far off from where her thoughts had been, that it confused her a little.
"I didn't bring anything, sorry girls."
Leefox could only just staaaaaaare at Pink Mommy. She was acting all funny and Leefox couldn't figure out why or what was up or anything and she did not like it at all!
"Well then why'd you go?" she asked, hoping to take Pink Mommy's mind off of whatever it was that was bothering her.
"To see if I could find Nena's parents."
