"A trickster's smile" The day seemed to end fast enough, though not without a lively finish from the night customers. Shin didn't really mind though, he loved moving around, specially at night, so he was more than happy to run around from table to table taking and dropping off orders. He always kept an eye on Taroro, though, since he was there to observe his reactions and actions, both to the Haunter's and in his daily life. He would take it all into account before making an almost complete decision. The boy would find out soon enough just who he was and why he was there, quite conveniently, and would offer him a deal. After the night shift was over, Shin didn't bother to gather with the other members and hear the shop owner's appreciation, he was already aware of it and 'thanks' weren't necessary, since the two had arranged his 'volunteering for the day'. He headed straight to the locker room and changed back into his usual attire, glad to feel the tight clothes on his body again, as well as his lip ring and piercings back where they usually were. He'd had them for so long, it felt almost strange not wearing them for a whole day.
The Haunter exited the shop ahead of everyone else, slipping past them quietly like he had the tendency to do with people, and perching on a newspaper holder stand across from the cafe's entrance. He'd wait there for the boy, the lights from the now dimly lit shop and street posts being the only things to illuminate his figure. It'd gotten pretty dark by the time their second shift ended, not that Shin minded it. He actually preferred the dark, it was more comfortable to him, for reasons even he couldn't explain. So, there he waited, lining up his words a bit into a more 'formal' way, since this was to be business as soon as the Rattata confronted him for the second time.
"Sure you wanna trust it?"

《♠Taroro ℕezumi♠》 ___________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ As soon as he slipped into his normal wear, he shut his locker and slung his backpack over his shoulder, gripping at it's strap. He wasn't sure what kind of answers he would get out of the man but he would have to be ready for anything that came his way. Reluctant to step out of the cafe, he stood motionless for a second or two, before pushing the door open, causing the bells on it's frame to chime. The Haunter was just standing there, perched onto a newspaper holder stand. He was hardly noticeable in the dim light the street lamps had provided, casting a silhouette against the light. The boy's grip on his back pack strap got firmer as he approached the man, biting his lip nervously. It wasn't as if he hadn't felt this pressure before. He could recall the tension of their previous meeting clearly. His chest was heavy, taking in a deep breath before standing before the man, a good distance away to prevent attacks like the previous session. Taroro was being as serious as ever, folding his arms, he glared at the man. He didn't think he would have to say anything, after all, the Haunter knew perfectly well why he was here.
The boy wasn't at all happy about what had occurred today. In fact, he was practically steaming inside, though he didn't show it on his face. This was the first time someone has ever driven him up the wall so much. If not for the threat, he would be beating some sense into Haunter right about now. Probably even earlier. But he wasn't going to get feisty over the matter, it wasn't the way he worked.____________________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _

"A trickster's smile" The Haunter smirked a little at the boy's glare, not being able to help himself. It was adorable in a way, and he had to give the boy credit for at least being able to restrain himself to a glare when he probably wanted to give the Haunter a good beating after all that happened that day. Shin waited a few more moments, his eyes glancing a bit as the rest of the staff of the shop gradually made their way out the door and continued on their way. Though, the two did get a few glances as they were passed, the sight did seem a little odd for just a 'casual conversation' like in the shop. He waited until everyone was a good distance away and the shop's lights were turned off, meaning that the owner had gone as well. The man new who Shin was but this was a private matter, one that he didn't want others viewing. Other than the two, the street was currently pretty vacant, minus a car or two every now and then.
He reached into one of his various coat pockets, still sitting carelessly on the newspaper stand with a knee to his chest, and took out his cellphone from earlier, typed in a few keys and started reading off of the screen. "Taroro Nezumi. Male. 19. Slim with fair skin, gold eyes, lavender hair. Rattata. The young heir of a large and expanding company, currently owned by his father. Works part time at a cafe in a quiet part of downtown. Has been seen fighting on many occasions, always comes out on top. Supports himself, 'has a soft spot for the weak and/or injured,'" he added in the last bit since he had learned it earlier, his smirk widening for a moment. "Alias's and/or nicknames include; Taro, 'Roro-chan', and 'Roro-hime' by 'friends,'" he finished, flipping his cell phone closed and setting it back in his coat pocket before looking back up at the boy.
"Allow me to introduce myself properly," he began, his eyes a bit more serious, but still smirking all the same, "my name is Shin, and I control this city's largest and most vast network of information. I work as a freelance informant, there is nothing that I cannot find out, for a price that is." Shin rested an arm on his knee after a moment, giving the boy a little time to react to all the he had just said before continuing. "I came here today to 'ascertain' your current progress and potential as the next heir of your father's company, of my own free will. I was not hired by anyone to investigate you, I did it for my own purpose and of my own methods," he finished, grinning a little.
"Sure you wanna trust it?"

《♠Taroro ℕezumi♠》 ___________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ The atmosphere was silent, stale. Not a single soul was in sight, aside from a few cars that drove past the cafe every now and then. As soon as the cafe lights were off, the darkness filled the area even more, overwhelming it, only breaking away at the point where the dim lights could reach. Now the Haunter was even more concealed in the dark. The man flipped out his cell phone, casting enough light on the man's face for the boy to locate him. And as Shin spilled out the information from it, the boy's golden eyes widen. He was absolutely stunned by the amount of accurate information the man had produced. The Haunter was really on the ball, even picking up all that information before seeing the actual subject personally. As the man ended his speech, the boy snapped back to his senses, narrowing his eyes at the man. He realized again that this man wasn't one he could mess around with, considering the extremely accurate facts he had with him already.
Taroro was about to ask how the man had received all that information but his thoughts were cut off by the man's sudden introduction. The Haunter had introduced himself to the boy before, but this time, the boy could tell it was a serious one. He listened carefully, not wanting to miss even the slightest detail. Everything the man had said up till now, the Rattata was finding it hard to take in. Who would have known that this whole time, the man might have been trying to squeeze out more information of the boy. He decided to let it slid for the time being. Seeing as how the day was already over and there was no way he could turn back time.
So he was an informant, a freelancing one. But coming to check up on a heir on his own free will. That was a little suspicious. Taroro knew that his father's company was big but there were other heirs to other companies, he wasn't the only one in the world. That's right, the Haunter probably did the same thing to other heirs as well. Maybe he just wanted information to stay on top. After all, business was like a game. A game of life. Yet the boy couldn't help but wonder, what was the Haunter's main purpose. Why he did it in the first place. "What's in it for a guy like you...?" he questioned firmly, trying not to get agitated by the man's devious grin. He definitely wasn't in the best of moods, so his tone of voice was much bitter than usual. If the man just wanted information, why search the boy out if he was already doing so well at gaining that much, without even having to meet with the subject in the first place. Questions, questions. They were all that came out of today.____________________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _

"A trickster's smile" The Haunter chuckled a little before blinking a bit at the boy. "What's in it for me?" he asked, a little incredulously, tilting his head a little. "You are the heir to a company that I've had a long standing working relationship with, one of them, anyway," he started, giving the boy a little bit of information of his own, "I came to see if it would be worth it working with you, as well. Not only that, but if I could have fun while doing it." He smiled his light hearted smile for a moment, before his face returned to a serious expression. "Every large company you can think of has paid for my 'assistance', even your own, why should I not come to see what sort of person I will be working with later on? And besides," he paused, hopping down from his position on the newspaper stand and walking towards the boy, stopping about half a foot away, "I already told you before, you amuse me." Shin smirked a little, adding in one last part. "You are a rarity among 'young heirs', Taroro," he started, using the boy's name instead since he was serious this time, "it might be interesting to work along side you. Would you like to have the city's best informant working for you?" he asked, his eyes still on the boy. "My services aren't cheap, they will come at a price, but wouldn't it be a great benefit to you?" he finished, keeping his small smirk in place, though it was a little hard to see with any light aimed at his back. His face was darkened by the shadows they made, but his eyes somehow were still quite visible, almost glowing down at the boy, curiously.
Shin was freelance, yes, but if something, or rather someone, caught his attention enough, he would consider working closer with them as a sort of 'subordinate'. Most only made it to 'considered' on his list, but the Rattata, albeit unwillingly, gave the Haunter all sorts of fun. He found it was more of a pleasure working with the boy than with any of his other clients, and if he was to work for anyone, it would be him. How long no one could say, maybe until Shin lost his interest. Somehow, though, he doubted he would. There was something else drawing him to the 'young heir', perhaps it was his personality? Attitude? Whatever it was, the ghost-like Haunter who always traveled wherever he pleased, found himself a little weighed down to one spot when his red eyes met the boy's gold ones. It was an odd sensation, but one that made himself curious to find out what it was exactly.
"Will you strike this deal with me, I wonder" he said again, his voice a little softer than usual. He couldn't explain it himself, it just came out that way, but he didn't really mind it. It was a bit odd though, how serious he suddenly was, far different from his usual 'ridiculous' behavior.

《♠Taroro ℕezumi♠》 ___________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ The boy bit his lip as the man gave him the explanation he was searching for since he had met him. It was finally being revealed. He listened intensely as the Haunter went into every detail. Not even bother budging away from where he was as the man stepped closer. Then gritting his teeth when the man told him he amused him so. The Haunter's voice was crystal clear, contrasting from the silent atmosphere. In fact, it was the only thing the boy's ears were fixed on and it sent chills up his spine. The ghostly aura of the man, it was making the boy feel uncomfortable.
Indeed, the informant would be of good use to the young heir. He was the best of the best and had the ability to pick up even the smallest of details. It would keep him on top of his rivals and most of all, well informed. But nothing came for free, the boy knew well. It all came with a price and as the Haunter had mentioned, his price was high. He could tell that the man wasn't joking by his tone of voice, it was serious. Was the purple haired man only interested in helping him because he amused him? Was that it? The boy needed to think it over. If that was the case, then wouldn't it be risky if there was someone else who happened to amuse the man even more? Then there would be a possibility of betrayal. Taroro wasn't stupid, he knew the consequences, whether big or small, it was still crucial.
As the Haunter presented Taroro with the offer, the boy glared at the red eyes that seemed to glow in the dark. His attention fixed onto the devious man. He had to make a decision. It was now or never. This was an offer, people would find hard to refuse. Especially since it would make a great difference in your position, on business terms. Staying silent for a moment, closing his eyes, the boy thought it over. He didn't want to make the man wait, and he didn't want to stand in this awkward silence any longer than this. "If I do, will you swear your loyalty to me?" His serious tone was back. He was ready to strike a contract with the Haunter, knowing that if he turned this offer down, he might live to regret it. And if he did, it also meant that he would be at risk of the man leaking information to other companies. He needed to ensure that the informant only belonged to his side and his alone. "Or will you eventually get bored of me?" The boy teased, smirking a little. However, the boy didn't ask for the sake of teasing the man. He wanted to find out if the man was serious and if he would even consider turning his back on the boy. He couldn't trust this guy, not yet.____________________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _

"A trickster's smile" The Haunter waited patiently, well, as patiently as he could manage. Fortunately the boy didn't take too long before speaking again, and he retrained his attention on him. His smirk widened a bit at the boy's words, "Very good," he replied back, pleased with his response. Most people would be overwhelmed by the offer and jump right into it, without thinking of the consequences. Shin was glad that the boy was living up to his expectations he kept here and there, reaching up with a hand to play with the fur at the top of his coat again. "I will," he responded with his smirk still in place, playing with the fur still. That was partly why he waited until the very end of the day before making his decision, loyalty wasn't something he swore to anyone but himself, and he wanted to make sure the boy would be worth giving it to.
He was still a sly man. Even if he did swear loyalty to someone, he could always freely change his mind if he chose to. But, for once, the Haunter had seriously thought this one over, because his interesting was greatly peaked. "That is up to you," he replied, his smirk widening once again. "If I get bored, Taroro," he started, eyes still on the Rattata, "it will be your fault."
After a moment, Shin reached into another pocket of his coat, pulling out a folded sheet of paper, unfolding it and holding it in the light for the boy to see, a pen in his other hand. "This is my contract, the only one of it's kind. It's the physical proof necessary to show that we have entered into a pact. If you agree to it's terms, sign it. As for my payment for all of this..." he trailed off, thinking to himself for a moment before smirking a little more deviously, "it will be that I am to work with you in person and can visit you whenever I wish. You are to treat me as a sort of 'assistant', but my network is free for you to use as you see fit" Shin's payment wasn't always money, sometimes he took personal valuables or things that weren't physically tangible, like now. The boy's payment would be his freedom from the Haunter. Shin was most amused when he was with the boy, it's what kept his interest, that or observing him. So, that would be the boy's payment, he would have to deal with the man whenever he decided to be around him.

《♠Taroro ℕezumi♠》 ___________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ The reply that came from the man assured him for now but whether he was going to keep his words, that was another thing. The boy couldn't help but let his smirk widen. The man was amusing him as much as he was amusing the man. His reply confirmed it. It wasn't hard. All the boy would have to do was keep him entertained. Fair enough. But the question was, how was he going to? "My fault, huh...?" he replied softly under his breath, his smile still plastered on his face. "Then I'll just have to make sure that you don't." He wasn't going to let this chance slip by him. If keeping the man entertained was all he needed to do, then it would be as easy as entertaining a playful kitten. So he thought. He appreciated the challenge of trying to keep the man by his side. Life was getting boring, and the Haunter would be the one to turn that around.
His smile faded as the man pulled out the contract from one of his many pockets, explaining about it and the requirements to seal the deal. Yet another tough decision arose. If he allowed the man to visit him whenever he chose to, he wouldn't have as much privacy anymore, let alone personal space. The price was high indeed. It was his freedom from the Haunter, for an irresistible contract. Not many heirs could get their hands on this "one of a kind" contract. The Rattata was lucky enough to. Though the doubt still lingered, the boy took hold of the contract and the pen from the Haunter's hands, glancing through it carefully. He didn't need to though, it was just to give him enough time to think it over and when he reached the bottom of the contract, he signed it without a second though. No hesitating, no regrets. It was done, signed.
Taroro shoved the contract back at the man, feeling slightly annoyed with himself for signing the paper so quickly. He turned his head away. "If that's all, I'm going home..." He mentioned, still feeling a little overwhelmed by the events that had happened today and how fast everything was moving. Just imagine, in a single day, he had already secured a useful source of information, but it didn't come without a price. However, it was something even his father didn't have, no one else he knew did and it was worth it. ____________________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _

"A trickster's smile" He chuckled a little, quietly to himself, and watched as the boy read over the contract. Shin knew it was a high price for the boy, but all of his payments were for each individual that he dealt with. He was merciless when it came to his job, which was partly why he was so successful. If he showed mercy or pity to every client he worked with he'd find himself in a dead end and probably out of a job, or almost out of one. That, and he wouldn't be as wealthy as he currently was, not that he ever really used the money he was saving up. It was more of a 'retirement plan' of sorts for whenever Shin did retire, or he used a bit here and there to get a job done, do maintenance on his security or computers, or just felt like buying something on a whim. The Haunter spent money at random or when he needed to, but he never went out and bought, say, a large mansion or something flashy like that, not that he couldn't afford it if he wanted to.
His smirk widened as the boy signed it and shoved it back to him, folding the paper back how it was and putting it and the pen both back into one of his coat pockets. "I'll give you a copy the next time I see you," he said before the boy turned his head away and spoke once more. "Ah-" he started, reaching over quickly and turning the boy's face back to his, tilting it up with a few fingers under his chin. "Seal it with a kiss~" he said quietly, but cheerfully, leaning down quickly to lock his lips gently with the Rattata's. It wasn't a long kiss, nor was it rough, it was gently and only took a moment. Shin stood back up and released the boy's chin, licking his lips a little purposefully, "Sweeter than I expected," he teased, hop/skipping to the side and away from the boy a decent distance to avoid any fists or kicks that were probably going to come his way.
"I'll see you very soon~ 'Little heir,'" he chimed, grinning a bit while waving a hand at the boy. He didn't stay too long, just long enough to see the boy's reaction to his own actions, and soon silently faded into the shadows, like he usually did.

《♠Taroro ℕezumi♠》 ___________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ Just as the boy was about to start heading off, he was taken by surprise by the Haunter once again. Their eyes met for a second, the boy still lost in the sudden movement, feeling the man slide his fingertips up his chin. Like before, the boy was yet again caught off guard, allowing the Haunter to get so close to him, what a mistake. As the purple haired man whispered a few words, the boy's golden eyes widen. Before he could protest, he felt the soft lips of the Haunter's press against his own, making him blush pink. Though it was hardly visible in the darkness. The kiss had came so suddenly that the boy was forced to hold his breath. However, it wasn't rough like the boy had thought it would be, it was gentle. And he couldn't say he hated it, in fact, he actually liked it. A part of him wished that it would have lasted longer and another part wished that the man hadn't done it at all. Taroro didn't know what he was feeling. It was new to him, this sensation.
As their lips parted, and the Haunter skipping back a fair distance from the boy, he was immobilized for a moment, trying to make sense of what had just happened. Then slowly, he lowered his head down from where it had been raised, catching his breath. He stared sharply at the man as he teased him. "Shin...," he whispered, his voice trembling. Since he was at a lost for words right now, he couldn't reply properly to the man's remark. But only stared as the man waved back to him, leaving before he did. The darkness swallowed the informant, leaving the boy all alone out side the cafe. Placing his index finger gentle against where the Haunter had previously pecked on, the boy's eyes narrowed to the ground, blushing again. He couldn't get used to this, it wasn't right. He couldn't get too close to the Haunter, it might lead him astray. But yet again... Maybe it didn't matter whether they did or not. If the man would stay by his side loyally, then nothing would matter. After all, he was now his "assistant". As the events of today lingered on fresh in his mind, the boy smiled to himself for a second before it faded. Making his way back home on his usual path, in his usual direction, but now with something different to think about.
