Zev was hoping for this kind of reaction and received it, now he can put his plan into action. As the man got closer and closer towards him, Zev jumped to the left hand side of him and started to send a thrust into the man's rib cage, if this hit that should do it, if not then he's wide open for the next attack.

Stumbling backwards he made his way towards the door, "I-I'll never forget you. I will get revenge." Then, with whatever energy he had left, he darted out the door where a black blur passed by then he was gone. A comrade of his must of picked him up.
Elaine still laid on the floor not facing the two. She could only hear how the fight was going, and from the sounds of things it seemed like Zev had won. She still couldn't move an inch, and the stinging pain from the needle in her arm had long faded. 'I hope he's okay..'

Zev went chasing after the man but before he knew it he was gone....~Damn it, another person who gonna come after me. Can't I get a break in this town?~ Zev turned back around and saw Elaine on the floor with her back towards him ~s**t!~ Zev ran over to Elaine and picked her up in his arms "Hey? Elaine....can you hear me?" he was hoping the stun effects wouldn't last much longer on her. While he waited for a response from he he quickly turned towards the door and made sure it was closed before turning back down to Elaine.

"Pull it out?" Zev checked over Elaine until he finally noticed something shiny coming out of one of her nightgown arms, it was pretty hard to spot due to the size but his demonic senses helped him. He used great caution to pull out the needle so Elaine wouldn't be hurt more than she had been.
After he pulled it out he closely examined it to see what kind it was unfortunately it was a kind he had never seen on his travels so placed it on a near by table so he could take it with him when he leaves tomorrow. Zev was sure this wasn't the first time that thug had tried something like this. He picked up Elaine and headed for the stairs, "Hey um, did this ever happen before...you know like when your grandfather was alive?" he was about to head up the stairs he remembered Elaine's Tome and went back to retrieve it. placed it under his arm then started to head back upstairs.

×Єlaiɳε Wiɳʈεʀs× ×¨°o•O × O•o°¨× ╔══════════════╗ xxxxxElaine still felt the sting of the needle being pulled out she winced a bit, but it didn't hurt so bad. Being held in Zev's arms as he carried her up the stairs, she silently fumed. She was angry with herself for being so weak. Next time she wouldn't fall victim to the same trick.. Next time...
xxxxx"Yeah.. When I was little he used to tell me to hide, but it would all be over in a minute. He was powerful... Unlike me." She tried to laugh it off, but she felt guilty, "Zev.. I'm sorry. You shouldn't have been dragged into this."

~Demetri Saxtreise Demetri looked curiously behind her, and jumped in surprise when she saw Lenny. How had she not seen him following her? She was getting rusty... or was he just sneaky enough?
Shaking her head, she smiled at him. "You came along," she stated quietly, happily. "Don't know if you'll have much to do, but I'm glad you stuck around."
That said, she turned her attention to the dreary innkeeper as he spoke. Cheerfully ignoring the sad tone in his voice when he saw her- she knew what she was thinking, it wasn't uncommon- she smiled and replied, "Nope. No questions. Anything else?" She decidedly remained oblivious to the last thing he said.{{ I disappeared again!! I'm so sorry! The Gaia threads I always visited were dying, and I got caught up in real life... something that's definitely not fun. I'll try to visit more often, and hopefully, this thread hasn't died from waiting. Again, sorry!!! }}

Lenny looked around. The Innkeeper seemed different toward Demetri. This was insulting to him but he wouldn't do anything if Demetri ignored the man. "Of course why would I leave you alone... It's not like I can talk to Kenta he's being all plant filled for now." He explained but in truth it was an excuse to follow Demetri around. He already knew he liked her.

~Demetri Saxtreise Demetri smiled and tilted her head just enough to catch Lenny's eyes. "Is that so," she said, a playful glint in her eye as she spoke to the warrior. "Well, happy to have you here- long as you don't mind rats."
Slowly she let her gaze slip back to the innkeeper, grinning. "Well, let's get started, then!"

The bar keep nodded at there not of being ready, and, after looking them over, still in his unsure state of mind and body, he stepped out from behind the counter the separated them. It was a sight to see him in full view, as he could almost remind one of a hard working man. Still in his slacks that seemed just slightly tattered from over use, but not cause they were hardly used, more cause they were carefully used. They were tight against his waist, hanging loose around his ankles, a gritty kinda gray that only added to his look of uncertainty that they would succeed.
But, with keys in hand, he bayed them to follow, turning to a door the stood just beside on end of the bar. He pressed the Key into the lock, clicking it around before pushing it open. Beyond the door was a stair case. It was straight, and one could see the floor where it ended, but nothing beyond. To the left was a wall the stairs followed, and the right was a void of black that the eyes could not penetrate. There was a hiss and sound of movement. Something running around the floor, and something else rustling skin against skin on the ceiling.
"Down there is where they are. Do what you can to get rid of the things, but try not to destroy the place if you can." The old man looked back at them, stepping aside from the doorway, almost fearful of what would happen had he stood their too long. He looked at the group almost unsure of what would happen, but his past experiences lead him back to a lack of hope. (Anyone got a lantern? Or Torch? Something to see in the dark? Cause there are no lights.)

OOC: Hah Lenny to the rescue... BIC: Lenny would look down the dark staircase. It seemed ominous to him. He lifted his hand letting a small tiny jet of flames light the way. Then he puffed out several small flaming balls that would haver around him. And took a few steps down, "Why do you seem so scared man?"

The Inn's keeper just shook his head, turning from the stairwell, "You'll see them soon, those terrible beasts.." He then quickly returned to the bar, almost hiding behind it. His hands held one another, trembling as his eyes avoided the others. He looked off instead to the ceiling or walls, giving the air that he wouldn't and didn't want to talk about it any more. (Don't worry a group of four, you should be fine. I mean 2 melee fighters a full magic and one that is somewhere in-between, that should be more then enough.)

Zev just shook his head at Elaine "You have nothing to be sorry for. You had no idea this was going to happen." Although during the fight, memories of his old life flashed through his mind and reopened old wounds, he thought he had long since closed. Zev made his way back to the living room and laid Elaine on the couch.
Zev could see Elaine was angry at herself for not being the same as her grandfather, but with just a little more practice she would be as good as him in no time. "Elaine....Don't feel too bad. I know your grandfather would of been proud at what you were able to do. Focus more on what you did right and what you can do to be better. Rather than belittling yourself to your grandfather." Zev just hoped that was he was saying was going to help, rather than make her feel worse than she already felt. "I bet your Grandfather had to train really hard to get to where he was. And I bet you are just as capable of being just as strong; if not stronger than he was."
Zev knew he was just saying this, but he did have some faith in his words, cause if he didn't have faith, how could she believe his words? Zev also knew Elaine would of been outnumbered and overwhelmed, and did very well for a girl of her age and experience.

~Demetri Saxtreise Again ignoring the barkeep's palpable thoughts, Demetri kept a smile on her face even as she peered into the inky darkness, heard the eerie scuffling of tiny feet, felt the wildly malevolent eyes on her. This should be fun, she thought, discarding any idea of fear- she had resolved long ago to meet any danger eagerly, and kept her emotions in check as much as she could.
After a long moment of utter silence, studying her companions and waiting for something to happen, she let out a loud, hopefully ice-breaking yawn, and stretched her arms high over her head. "Eh, this should be easy. Not like they're some mutated, flesh-craving beasts..."

×Єlaiɳε Wiɳʈεʀs× ×¨°o•O × O•o°¨× ╔══════════════╗ xxxxxElaine smiled lightly to Zev's words. He might of been just saying things to make her feel better, but at least there was that thought, "Thanks Zev..."
xxxxx"You can come out.." Elaine called weakly in the direction of the end table. Surely enough a blond doll emerged from behind one of it's legs. The doll glared at Zev then climbed up onto the couch sitting up against Elaine's stomach. Marisa didn't seem to like the guest all that much. Then again, it was just her and Elaine for the longest time.
xxxxx"Zev, this is Marisa. She's a doll I made." Elaine cleared her throat, "I know you saw her out in the hall so.." She smiled weakly, "Could you keep her a secret? Please?"
