Landry somewhat expected that Joey would kick out, though he was really hoping he wouldn't.
And so he went back on the attack, trying to keep him grounded by locking on an old favorite, his Full Nelson Leg variation. ((Grounded full nelson, but locked in with my legs instead of my arms))

The strange hold gets locked in and Joey yells out as his shoulders get pulled up.

Landry, now with free use of his arms, attempts to force Joey onto his chest against the mat with his added leverage. If successful, Landry would also reach back and try to grab both of Joey's legs to incorperate a modified Boston Crab into his already strenuous hold, an innovation he christened, "The Scorpian Deathtrap."

Joey tries struggling out of the hold by attempting to get on his knees. If he could pull it off, Joey would try rolling onto Landry for a bridging pin.

((Precisely what you needed to do. Good job!))
Landry wrenched on the hold as long as possible, stretching Joey to his limits before he felt himself falling backwards as his shoulders went flat against the mat.
"1...2..."
Landry had no choice but to release his hold in order to escape the pin.

Joey stands up shrugging his shoulders. Seeing Landry was on the mat still, Joey decided to go for a submission hold of his own. He tries to sit up Landry and attempt the new variation of his Deschlock( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujBO_gOPhyc ).

((Huh...strangely similer to my Double Chickenwing with a bridge Landlock submission...XD))
Landry, for the first time in years, was locked in a submission hold! The choke was uncomfortable, and eventhough the positioning was identical to his own former submission finisher, he knew if he used the same reversal he would be dropped with a Hangman's Neckbreaker and gain no ground. However, in his advantage he leaves an opening as one arm is free. He used his free right arm as leverage once again, and tries to flip over in the same way Joey has. He wouldn't be out of the hold, he'd simply be in a normal version of the Crossface Chickenwing, but hopefully falling on his chest while he's trying to maintain a bridge would take the wind out of his sails and he would release the hold.
Either way, the choke has taken much out of him. He needed to find a way out desperately.

As Joey tries applying pressure to his hold, Landry catches him off guard and flips over. The reversal of sorts forced Joey to land on his chest taking some of the fight out of him. However, Joey still had the hold and decided to attempt to wrap his legs around Landry's waist((Yes, I know that sounds gay lol)) to lock in a scissors holds as well as the chickenwing.

Joey was doing well on the ground against a guy who has made his name with his technical dominance. However now he was in the same position Landry was when he was holding him in the Scorpian Deathtrap. So naturally Mike went to the same maneuver Joey applied, arching his back up and using his legs to try and force Joey's shoulders against the mat this time.

With the hold on, Joey feels he can make Landry tap, except Landry counters doing the same thing Joey did to escape the full nelson-like maneuver. 1!.. 2!!.... Joey releases the hold to stay in the match and in WWE:E.

And that's where Landry saw his opportunity.
Landry latched onto the left leg of Joey as he stood up, trying to cross Joey's right over his left, then plance his own left foot over Joey's right ankle to lock in his finishing submission, the FIGURE OF PERFECTION!

Joey sees Landry grab his leg knowing that whatevers coming next will be a painful submission. Joey never tapped out before in his career and wants to keep that streak alive. Joey grabs at Landry's attempting a small package pin.

"1...2..." Landry rolls out and responds by retaliating with an Oklahoma roll pin attempt.

Nuke waited by ringside, in the crowd, after having a phone call from Rachel Hollett earlier in the night. It seemed that there could be a problem in the match, and Nuke - as a paid Superstar - was to do a job and guard the match, or be fired.
So he sat and waited, watching Landry and Desch go toe-to-toe.

Brantley is seen taking a front row seat watching the match like everyone else though only he and the other people that know, know why he was there.
