X X X X X X Kansatsuryoku | Suiton | Special Jounin | Wanderer "Trust is a fragile thing, easily tainted and broken..." Stuck with her back to the ground, Haruko could feel the male lock her in place using his legs. Trapped by the torso, Haruko kept her gaze cold as she stared up at the strange pale white eyes of her opponent. 'His eyes are strange...does he also process dojutsu abilites...' Keeping her chakra in control, Haruko watched as the male raised his arms up for some form of attack. Expecting a simple taijutsu technique, Haruko saw no need to activate her chakra scalpel technique.
That decision turned out to be a fatal flaw as chakra suddenly engulfed the youth's hands and he simultaneously struck the base of her biceps. Gritting her teeth, Haruko was taken aback by the speed of the the attack and as the male continued to strike at specific points located throughout her upper body, Haruko quickly picked on how it was disrupting her chakra flow. 'From the first hit, I felt my chakra waver but brushed it off as pain...d***. Just what is this attack...' Holding in the pain, Haruko could feel chakra shooting though her body like needles. His attacks were both fast and precise. Something that made his move more lethal and painful to bare.
At his final two strikes, Haruko couldn't hold it anymore and finally released a disgruntled cough. Eyes narrowing at her opponent, Haruko closed her mouth instantly and drew it into a thin line. Within her mouth, Haruko could taste the sweet, yet disgusting flavour of blood. Shuffling her body a bit, Haruko found her mobility to be less than before. 'Most likely from all those hits...he's definitely someone who focuses on offensive attacks...' Moving her feet, Haruko could tell that they were still working well. This would make her movements imbalanced but it would have to do. Her chakra circulation was cut off as far as she could tell and with no hints as to when she would get it back, she was down to her wit and agility.
Haruko was normally not one to speak with her opponents during the heat of battle but in her current predicament, she was willing to try almost anything that might or might not distract her opponent for even a second. Making herself limp as if she's given up, Haruko glanced away from her opponent for a second or so before returning her gaze back to him. Eyes softening, Haruko parted her lips to speak. "Why didn't you finish me...? You know what? You're..." Trailing off, Haurko quickly sucked in her breath and tucked her body close together. Digging her heels into the ground, Haruko raise herself a bit and pushed forward with all her strength. As she slid backwards thanks to her cape, the wet ground, and the force of her push, Haruko waited till her legs were directed under Atsureki's body to shoot her left leg upward. 'are so freaken annoying!' Haruko finished off in her mind as she aimed the attack at the male's groin.

(I'm not saying that you wouldn't be able to do what you did, but I think that there would also be some internal organ damage, so she might be in more trouble than simply having limited mobility with her upper half) Atsureki Hyuuga Eyes of the Crimson Dawn Sensor || Hyuuga || Taijutsu || Akatsuki || Tactical Shibobi
Chakra: 30|| Stamina: 27|| Status: Healthy || Byakugan: Inactive "The world has forgotten the evil of the Bijuu...As the final two strikes landed, Atsureki sucked in a quick breath as a fresh tremor of pain wracked through his arm. Still straddling the woman, Atsureki's face was a stony mask as he watched the woman begin to squirm underneath him, no doubt coming to the realization that there was more to those strikes than met the eye. Or at least more than met her eye, but to Atsureki, looking down at the woman was like looking at a Christmas-tree with half the lights blown. It is over then, and there is no reason to keep her alive... damn, Atsureki thought to himself as he began reaching for the kunai holster on his right thigh. As the woman grew limp, Atsureki could only imagine that she was coming to terms with her fate.
Wrapping his hands around a kunai, Atsureki hesitated as the woman opened her mouth to speak. Suddenly though, the woman's limp body went taught as she lifted herself from the ground and pushed backward. She still wants to fight!, Atsureki thought in surprise, his pale eyes growing wide as he pulled the kunai out of its holster. As the woman brought her leg up to kick him, Atsureki cried out as he brought his kunai down to plunge into her leg. As the woman's leg connected with Atsureki's groin, all of the breath was forced out of his lungs. Doing his best to throw himself to the side, it was all Atsureki could do not to roll on the ground and clutch at the family jewels, but the fight was not over. Forcing himself to breath, the pained young Hyuuga lifted himself shakily to his feet, putting his right hand defensively in front of himself.
As much pain as Atsureki was in though, he knew that of the two of them, the woman was the worse for wear. Every male shinobi in the world must have experienced a strike to the groin, whether by accident or with intent, and as much as it hurt, Atsureki knew that the pain would pass... eventually.... X X X X X X Kansatsuryoku | Suiton | Special Jounin | Wanderer "Trust is a fragile thing, easily tainted and broken..." Kicking upward, Haruko knew her chances on hitting the male was about 60% but when she felt her leg connect, she smirked a bit in success. The pain wasn't forever but it should be enough for her to regather her bearings. A second after contact, Haruko felt a surge of pain spike through her leg. The b*****d had stabbed her in the leg! Groaning it pain, Haruko dropped her leg back to her side as her back landed back to ground with a soft 'thud'.
Falling back onto the wet ground, Haruko was suddenly met with another wave of pain. This time around, the pain shot itself across her upper body. Eyes wide, Haruko forced herself to rolled sideways despite the agony it caused her body. Her mouth was filled with blood and she had no choice but to puke it all out. Crimson liquid flowed its way out of the woman's lips and Haruko had to close her eyes in disgust. The sour, bitter taste of her blood was too much for her to bare along with the pain. 'This has to be internal damage. Curse him...'
With the male off to the side, Haruko quickly tucked her feet close to herself. Giving the wound a quick assessment, Haruko could tell it wasn't too deep but it wasn't all that shallow as well. 'Best to leave it in...I can do this...' Willing herself to fight past the pain, Haruko somehow managed to get back on her feet. She was trembling though and Haruko knew she didn't have much longer. Testing the waters, Haruko knew the attack that cut of her chakra flow was directed at her upper body. Trying to get a feel for the chakra stuck in her lower body, Haruko tried to get the flow to rock back and forth. For a second, nothing happened and Haruko 'tsked', ready to give up when all of a sudden, she felt a subtle movement of chakra. 'I still got it...it's weak though, and my connection will most likely fail...'
Breathing heavily, Haruko could feel another round of blood making its way up her throat. Forcing it back, Haruko took a moment to glance around the area. There was her opponent in front of her. The other two members were to her right. Behind, she had a tree. 'Lets take it to mid-air.' Turning around as abruptly as her body would allow, Haruko began to manipulate the chakra left flowing in her legs. It proved to be more difficult than just moving the current flow but after several attempts, she finally got a solid foundation of chakra over to feet. Jumping up, Haruko planted her feet on the stump of the closest tree and ran up to the lowest branch. Left hand, hung limply over it, Haruko turned her head to face her opponent once more. At the moment, she didn't really have a plan of action. Her goal now was to survive. Long enough for her upper body to regain its chakra flow. 'My chakra seems to be leaking...is it cause of my lack-luster control...' Atsureki Hyuuga Eyes of the Crimson Dawn Sensor || Hyuuga || Taijutsu || Akatsuki || Tactical Shibobi
Chakra: 30|| Stamina: 27|| Status: Healthy || Byakugan: Inactive "The world has forgotten the evil of the Bijuu...Smirking for a moment as the woman struggled to her feet, his immediate wince reminded him not to let his advantage make him careless. Honestly I'm not sure whether I'm more pissed or impressed, when your life's on the line there's no sense in fretting over honor. All the same, she will die Atsureki thought to himself as he felt the woman trying to mold her chakra. A half-smile spreading across his lips, Atsureki took a step forward when he felt the woman's chakra stir, and his half-smile turned into a broad grin. She's got spirit, that's for sure, to be able to mold her chakra at all is impressive to say the least. Another time and I'm sure that she would have been a valuable ally, Atsureki thought to himself with a sigh.
As the woman made her way up the side of a tree, Atsureki lifted his hands to his chest, wincing as the fingers of his left hand met with his right. Performing several hand-seals, currents of wind began to swirl around Atsureki's legs, causing his lustrous black hair to billow all around him as he calmly uttered, "Tatsumaki Senpuukyaku." Suddenly the gentle breeze wrapping around Atsureki's legs became a howling gale, his ponytail flying wildly in the air. Bending his legs at the knee, Atsureki suddenly dashed forward, his already impressive speed further enhanced by the power of the technique. Flashing up the side of a nearby tree, Atsureki then sprung off of a branch towards the woman, whipping his leg around to slam into her mid-section.... I intend to help them remember." Supplies: Kunai: 5 Senbon: 15 Makibishi:20 Light Bomb: 2 Smoke Bomb:3 (Jutsu Name: Tatsumaki Senpuukyaku (Tornado Whirlwind Kick) Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu, Fuuton ... (Private/Signature, Konaga Sai) Jutsu Rank: B (-7ch, -4st) Jutsu Description: Created by Sai to provide versatility and deception, this technique can take multiple forms depending on what the situation calls for. After performing the necessary hand seals, the user's legs are infused with chakra and swirling winds flow about the user's legs. This gives the user a +1 [Active] bonus to speed. This effect will last for 2 posts, or until discharged as an attack in either one of two ways... Whirlwind Kick: When the swirling winds make contact with an opponent, the force explodes off of the user's legs into them. The force of this technique sends the victim flying an incredible distance through the air about 50 feet away. The initial strike bruises the area strike and rips through the flesh on contact, creating a scar of swirling cuts and wounds. The real danger of the technique is the velocity the kick sends the user away at, especially if they strike a hard surface after being blown back. Such force after being kicked through the air at such speeds can easily break bones and crush a victim's fighting spirit. Tornado Kick: Instead of discharging on a direct strike against the opponent, the Tornado kick discharges the swirling wind chakra into a six foot tall swirling tornado which speeds towards an opponent in a straight path at high speeds. If caught in the tornado, the victim is sucked in and tossed around inside, suffering a vast array of slices and cuts from all sides, some of them rather deep lacerations. After harming the opponent, the tornado dissipates, but the victim still feels the after-effects of the wounds and has their evasion decreased by 1 rank for one post afterward. Additional Effects Whether the technique is discharged or fades after two posts, the user's speed is decreased by 1 rank for 1 post afterward. ) [EDIT: WHIRLWIND KICK PERFORMED]

Konaga Sai| Konaga Clan | Akatsuki | Jounin | RPC Profile | Sai watched the battle begin with great anticipation, both in seeing how his student would fair against his first real opponent and to see if this young woman could be a benefit to their cause. His eyes fixed on both of them, watching their every move, Sai was very suddenly and annoyingly jerked away from his analysis by a series of 'fart' noises which came through the communications half distorted. Closing his eyes for a mere second, a deep sigh escaped his mouth as he opened his eyes back up again, knowing that only Jouji could send such a transmission. The man for all of his usefulness was still finding ways to annoy Sai which was the reason why he felt no need to keep the man on a tight leash. "Besides... he'd probably like that..."
Pushing the disturbing image that came with his own internal passing comment, Sai brought his Akatsuki ring up to his head as a flickering and distorted holographic image of Jouji looking confused and tapping his ring was projected, transmitting his message. Immediately responding to his question, Sai tapped the ring twice, lacing his fingertip with bits of chakra as they navigated the stored circuitry of the ring to bring up a projected map of the chakra forests, with different colored dots marking the location of his members. Locating Jouji quickly, Sai examined the holographic image for a second before dissipating the map to speak into his ring... "You are 1231m Southwest by South of our position. Find us quick enough and you can see our young Hyuuga in battle with a potential new member."
Sai said nothing else in the message and lowered his finger, ending the communication quickly thereafter. In the heat of battle, neither of the combatants would be able to pick up what he was saying and only Zenko who was at his side would catch what was said. Allowing the fight to continue on, Sai watched and waited for it to play itself out. If needed, he would end the fight prematurely, but he wanted to see each of them fighting to the bitter end. As the fight progressed however, Sai was more then pleased with Atsureki's progress and was impressed to see that he had executed the full 64 strikes. The young Hyuuga's inexperience however left him vulnerable and what followed left Sai embarrassed to call the young man his student. His face made no expression of wincing, or of any reaction at all as Atsureki suffered the attack to his groin... he only shook his head in disappointment as the fight continued on.
Despite all that however, Sai watched onward as he hoped his student might make up for the embarrassing failure to defend himself and was glad to see his own signature technique used by the boy, knowing that it would be quick difficult for the woman to dodge it. The only downside of Atsureki's fight was that he was burning through his chakra like a wild animal on it's last legs. His fighting style lacked the patience that a truly veteran warrior would show in conserving his chakra to be used at the most advantageous times. Still, his youthful exuberance to prove himself seemed to be working to a degree and if the attack did in fact succeed, it might be the end of the fight.

X X X X X X Kansatsuryoku | Suiton | Special Jounin | Wanderer "Trust is a fragile thing, easily tainted and broken..." Gaze flickering back to her opponent, Haruko was met with an unappealing sight - her opponent readying a technique at unimaginable speeds with his legs wrapped in howling winds. Shrinking back, Haruko's back met with the rough bark of the tree and she mentally slapped herself for her fear. 'Now's not the time for that...'
Even with her motion trained eyes, Haruko could barely lock onto Atsureki's moving form. With her upper body out of commission and her chakra flow still in the rut, Haruko's options were dwindling. Her first thought was to obviously dodge but that was just stupid. With his speed, he'll have caught up with her in less than a heartbeat. Taking the hit was risky but by this point in time, it was obvious that death was being an inevitable option. She could pretty much hear the grim reaper knocking on death's door for her. If she was to go down though, then she was at least bringing one of them with her.
Recalling something her grandfather was told her about when she was around 15 and just beginning to learn more advanced shinobi techniques, Haruko remembered being confounded by the mere thought of it. Her grandfather spoke of an 'Overdraft' ability. Something that allowed an shinobi to push past his or her limit and produce one final technique. To the 15 year old her, logic was everything and to be able to utilize chakra while drained of it was a bizarre thought. Now though, she could only pray that it would work. The situations don't exactly overlap but they were similar enough in how she was unable to use anymore chakra...kind of...
Bracing herself against the tree, Haruko closed her eyes and willed herself to focus. Like before with the kinobori no jutsu, Haruko did her best to manipulate the flow of her remaining chakra. 'Come on...come on...' A tingling sensation was felt throughout her body as whatever remaining chakra she had began to seep through her body. Her opponent was getting closer and her only chance was to weaken the force of impact. 'Mizu Bunshin.' Drawing water from all around her, Haruko gathered them as far away from her as she could. Just as she solidified her clone, a strong force of wind could be felt. Pushing off the tree, Haruko aimed to land back safely to the ground but she wasn't quick enough. The kick discharged with the clone and a heavy blast of water and wind knocked against Haruko, sending her slamming harder to the ground than anticipated.
Groaning...Haruko coughed out a bit more blood. 'Damn...' Unwilling to give up, she forced herself to flip around and pull out a kunai. Knowing how difficult it would be control one's position mid-air, she tossed the kuani as quickly as she could towards Atsureki's legs. With his rate of descent though, the attack would most likely hit his mid-section unless countered.
[Combat Ability: Overdraft - USED!]
{Hope this all makes sense.} "...so trust only in yourself and your ideals" [Primary: Great Chakra Reserves (+5/10 cp) (Overdraft)]-[Secondary: Agility (+1 eva)]-[Teritary: Intelligence] [Chakra Control (- 1 rank to jutsu + -1 to cost)]=[Summoner (Chocobos)]XXXXXXX [Chakra Pool: 64/90] [Stanima Pool: 51/60] Kinobori no Jutsu (Tree Walking Technique)/Kabenobori no Jutsu (Wall Walking Technique) Rank: D [Chakra Control - No cost] [124 tenketsu closed: -1 chakra/post] By focusing chakra into the soles of their feet, a shinobi can attach themselves to a hard surface, such as trees or solid walls and walk or run up them with ease. (This technique costs 2 chakra points to initiate, but has no retention cost) [This jutsu does not count towards an RPC's jutsu limits]
[Combat Ability] Once per combat, even if the user has been completely drained of their chakra, the user can still complete one final jutsu which they already know by utilizing their "Overdraft" ability. [This jutsu costs no Stamina to use]
Mizu Bunshin (Water Clone) Rank: D E Description: A more corporeal form of the Kiri Bunshin, the Mizu Bunshin technique creates a clone of the user with 1/10 of it's physical strength. This clone unlike the Kiri Bunshin, can attack an opponent and threaten to do actual damage akin to the weapons and abilities of the user. It does not posses chakra of it's own, so it cannot use any ninjutsu the user knows, nor can it think for itself beyond carrying out the initial orders of it's creator. Clone disperses after one solid blow.

Chakra: 23|| Stamina: 23|| Status: Healthy || Byakugan: Inactive "The world has forgotten the evil of the Bijuu...As he sailed through the air, Atsureki was once again impressed by the woman. Somehow managing to mold her chakra despite most of her Tenketsu being closed off, the woman created a water clone in between himself and the woman. Clever, but if you thought a clone would save you, you are sorely mistaken, Atsureki thought smugly as his leg collided with the clone, causing the gale swirling around his leg to blast forward, obliterating the clone and sailing straight towards the woman. As the woman attempted to slide off the branch to avoid the attack, the sudden gale sent her hurtling to the ground.
As he fell towards the ground, Atsureki began forming several hand-seals, saying smugly as he did, "And now, miss, I'm afraid I have to end our little game." Pulling his hand back as he completed the seals, Atsureki smirked as the woman pulled out a kunai and threw it at him, fighting till the bitter end it seems. "Kamaitachi no Jutsu!", Atsureki cried as he thrust his palm forward, causing a tornado of slashing winds to sail through the air towards the woman, her Kunai getting caught up in the attack only to be sent flying back to its master.... I intend to help them remember." In reality it is not an actual burst of wind but a tornado that came from the user. The wind slashes objects; at most it can cut tree branches. Another attack.' Toying around with her chakra, Haruko 'tsked' knowing that her chakra flow was still cut off. 'Screw him and this strange technique.' Using her legs once more, Haruko pushed herself to the right and rolled as quickly as she could out of the way. Sadly, her 'quick' still wasn't enough to beat the wind completely and her back got caught up in the winds. Holding in a wince, Haruko was forced forward due to the power of the winds and connecting harshly to the ground wasn't helping her wounds at all.
Breathing rather heavily, Haruko could barely move her arms and legs anymore but she knew she had to keep going. With her cloak covering her body, Haruko moved her left had back as subtly as she could to pull out a smoke bomb. She would hold onto it for now. If her opponent chooses to approach her again, that's when she will throw it. Still obvious to the abilities of the Byakugan, Haruko could only assume that with the smoke, her opponent wouldn't be able to find her exact location. Giving her a chance to recompose herself. Jouji Ijuin Special Jounin Doton ✦ Katon Great Chakra Reserves ✦ Endurance ✦ Sexy Combo ✦ Chakra Control Chakra: 90/90 Stamina: 85/85
Jouji grumbled something akin to a curse word and some sort of ancient tribal curse under his breath as Sai abruptly cut off connections with him after giving him instructions about their location. Typical of Sai; asking him to come along and even when he left late he still managed to get ahead of the man in one way or another, it was like the man had him in on a very, very, very long leash, one that stretched far out of view but one he would not hesitate to tug on at the slightest annoyance of Jouji not reading his mind. Jouji was exaggerating his case against Sai's attitude but that didn't diminish the annoyance he now felt for the man, sure he had once found him quite the catch, till he realized he really was that anally retentive, it was wonder how the man could sit down and not suck up the furniture. Jouji didn't mind the idea of all existence gravitating to Sai's tight a**, as long as he got there first and plugged the pull so he wouldn't be forced back unless he wanted to.
The journey to where his allies were was brief enough in feeling, still the distance he had traveled back and forth was making his legs a little a sore; he never understood why they couldn't do thing slowly, make it a nice long trip, free from dashing. They weren't on any specific timetable after all.
Jouji caught sight of his allies, garbed in their Akatsuki robes, and another person, an unfamiliar young woman, hitting the ground with a loud thud, obviously having suffered an attack from Atsureki who appeared at first glance to have the upper hand. Ignoring the obvious cue to make it appear as if he was in his robes, Jouji descended from the canopy to land on the ground, a few meters back from the strange woman's back, giving his allies an exaggerated and cartoonish pout to convey his displeasure.

Chakra: 19|| Stamina: 21|| Status: Healthy || Byakugan: Inactive "The world has forgotten the evil of the Bijuu...As he landed lightly on the ground, Atsureki crossed his arms over his chest as he watched the woman struggle to her feet. Bruised and battered, suffering from multiple lacerations on her back, a kunai still stuck in her leg, and obvious internal injuries, it was amazing that the woman even had the will to carry on the fight. As Jouji approached, the feel of his chakra signature making his presence known long before he actually came into the range of Atsu's vision, the proud young hyuuga smirked. "You have lost, miss, I know that you don't wish to accept it, but you lost any chance of escaping the moment we found you. Even should you manage to defeat me, you are outnumbered and outmatched." Atsureki spoke, his words cold and hard, he would offer the woman no compassion, she needed to understand her situation, and the futility of continuing.
As the woman began inching her hands towards a pouch hidden under her cloak, no doubt thinking to surprise him with a sudden attack or diversion to aid in her escape, Atsureki's smirk turned into an angered glare. "FOOLISH WOMAN! I can see every move you make! Stop toying with me!", Atsureki barked as he began stalking towards the woman, pulling a kunai from the folds of his robes as he did so. Just as Jouji landed behind the woman, Atsureki was a few strides away, his pale eyes burning with fury. "You are surrounded, if you surrender now, then I can promise you an honorable death." Once he was close enough, Atsureki would feint by stabbing at the woman's neck with his kunai, but would pull back immediately as she attempted to react to the attack. Atsureki would then kick out with his leg to imbed his kunai from earlier further into the woman's leg.... I intend to help them remember." She was at the end of her rope and they both knew it. 'b*****d...' Breathing deeply, Haruko heard the sound of another land behind her and turning her head for a quick glance noticed that it was yet another unknown person. 'Stupid...stupid luck...one of the village woman said that last night was a bad night for me...me and my lack of faith in the superstitious...'
Scoffing at Atsureki's next set of words, Haruko could only continue the sarcasm in her mind. 'What honorable death? To be killed by the likes of people unknown...I wasn't even able to do much damage to him either...d*** it all...' Facing the man, Haruko could see him come in for an attack to the neck, something, she herself was most fond of. 'Great, to die by my signature kill...' It came as a surprise though when pain shot through her leg inkstand. Gasping in pain, Haruko's left hand dropped the smoke bomb, it was useless now anyways, and sprang to hold her leg. "Jerk...if you are to kill me then kill me...best not play with one's food after all..."
Vision darkening, Haruko was more than confident that this was the end. 'Better to die by my own hands than by that of an unknown enemies.' Using the last ounce of strength she had, Haruko retracted the kunai from her leg and brought it to her neck. Glancing over to Atsureki, Haruko's eyes were still as cold as before and her words were laced with spite. "An honorable death by an ominous figure? Bull. I rather die by my own hands knowing I was not good enough to survive another day." With that, Haruko brought down the kunai that would end her life. 'I'm going to hell anyways, so why not just add suicide to that list.' Konaga Sai| Konaga Clan | Akatsuki | Jounin | RPC Profile | Watching the fight with a cold silence, Sai wasn't particularly impressed on the fight occurring before him. The overall tactics on both of the combatant's parts were sloppy in some sense, but he could see talent in both of them. At the very least however, Sai was able to ascertain a bit more about the woman, and the fact that she was able to utilize a ninjutsu despite being struck my the Hyuuga's Eight Triagrams Sixty Four palms. That at least displayed that there was more to this woman then met the eye... and Sai would be interested in learning what other unique abilities she might have.
Naturally, the entire scenario in fact was a test of the woman's abilities and Sai had no intention of having her killed so flippantly for simply being in the Chakra Forest. Although he was sure Atsureki had every intention of killing on command as he was told, which pleased Sai, Sai had every intention of stopping the fight at any point where a killing blow would be dealt. As the fight continued on, the woman showed an unyielding spirit as she continued to fight despite being surprised, cornered, and on the losing side of the battle. As he watched the two reach the end of the fight, Sai knew it would be time to leap into action soon, and for the first time since he had arrived, moved from his stoic stance.
What came next was surprising as he saw Atsureki's final attack push the woman to the limit. He saw the kunai raised, expecting it to make a final last-ditch attack, only to hear the woman speak of killing herself before placing the kunai to her neck. Reacting immediately, Sai was simply gone from his perch, his great speed carrying him across the distance between himself and the woman, his arm appearing just in time to grip the woman's forearm before the kunai pierced her neck. Int he woman's weakened state, her strength no matter how hard she would try would budge the kunai even an inch closer to her neck to achieve the goal of death she seeked...
"You would end your life when you have so much yet to accomplish?... rash, but respectable in a way I suppose. It shows dedication to one's own ideals and an unwillingness to subscribe to a fate that you yourself did not control." His arm continuing to restrain her forearm, he made a quick twist, using his knowledge of the muscles and nerves in the forearm of the wrist which forced the woman's hand open causing her to harmlessly drop the kunai to the ground. "Atsureki, you may stand down now, you did well." His grip remaining strong, Sai suddenly jerked the woman back and released her, turning himself around to face the woman with about five feet between them, taking up a position with Atsureki in the background, both of them staring at her with a cold expression.
"Perhaps you would like to take fate back into your own hands. You said earlier that it was your goal to disrupt the chains of power. That is our goal as well. Perhaps you would like to join us in our pursuit to overthrow the establishment and institute a justice of our own. Would that interest you?"
"You can never know my pain..."

X X X X X X Kansatsuryoku | Suiton | Special Jounin | Wanderer "Trust is a fragile thing, easily tainted and broken..." Moments before steel pierced flesh, a strong, unbreakable grip caught onto Haruko's forearm. "Ah..." Eyes wide with shock, Haruko noticed the threatening man from before standing next to her emitting the same aura of power. 'So fast...' Haruko had been right. This man was truly the most dangerous of the three. Even her opponent's speed could not have matched this man's. 'To have crossed such distance in less than a millisecond...so deadly...'
His words caught her attention as he questioned her choice only to show his understanding of her reasons behind it. This showed to her that the man was not only deadly strong, but also calculative. 'Brains and brawn...a rare but dangerous combination...but why did he-' The quick twist of her forearm broke Haruko from her thoughts and she uttered a soft gasp in pain. Her hold on the kunai loosened and the mental blade fell harmlessly to the ground. 'No weapon...does he mean to kill me himself?' Gaze shifting between the man and her opponent who she can now identify as Atsureki, Haruko wondered just what his plans for her were. 'To tell him to stand down...'
When jerked back, Haruko slid back a few more paces but it wasn't too much of a push that would have injured her even more. Scrambling up weakly, Haruko leaned her weight more on her good leg while she turned to stare into the cold gazes of the man who stopped her death and her opponent, both standing at least five feet away. Doing her best to keep her own expression controlled, Haruko met the unidentified man's gaze as he spoke. 'Here goes...no chance to savage any dignity I had left...'
His next words caught her entirely off guard. To have been offered a chance back at control as well as an opportunity to fulfill her goal...it was unexpected and honestly too good to be true. 'But a man like him isn't the type to lie...though it confuses me as to why he would offer such a deal to me...to use as a scapegoat perhaps...If I think about it, I have no ties to anywhere and if anything should go wrong, why not tie it to someone they randomly picked up? With my record of past assassinations, it wouldn't be hard to sentence me guilty...' Swallowing some saliva to moist her drying throat, Haruko took note of how her saliva tastes of blood but shrugged it off immediately. Handling this offer was her top priority at the moment. 'If this is a trick, I die. If I chose not to join, I'll most likely die...so I guess all I can really bank on is the fact they really will let me live if I join them.'
As much as Haruko would like to say 'yes' at a chance at salvaging her life, her stubbornness won out in the end and she found herself questioning the man's possible good intentions. "It does intrigue me. Though I have to ask, why me? I'm as good as dead right now and as far as I could tell, I performed rather badly in my fight against your comrade. Our goals might be the same...but is that enough reason to have me join?" Her words were soft and lacked the strength they had from before. It was obvious she was losing strength fast and the chancing of her falling unconscious anytime soon was plausible. (I'm not sure whether to be happy or not, on the one hand, Sai said that Atsureki did well, but on the other hand he secretly thinks that Atsureki sux crying ) Atsureki Hyuuga Eyes of the Crimson Dawn Sensor || Hyuuga || Taijutsu || Akatsuki || Tactical Shibobi
Chakra: 18|| Stamina: 21|| Status: Healthy || Byakugan: Inactive "The world has forgotten the evil of the Bijuu...As the woman cried out in pain, Atsureki sighed before lifting the kunai to stab into the soft tissue of the woman's flesh, a pity, I had almost hoped you would have one last trick up your sleeve. Before he could deliver his killing blow however, the woman pulled the kunai out of her leg, leaving a ghastly hole in her flesh. As the woman lifted the kunai to her own throat, Atsureki merely lifted a questioning eyebrow, after all what did it matter by who's hand the woman died at this point. He had beaten her, and to the proud young Hyuuga, that was the important thing. As the woman spoke her last words, Atsureki's face was a mask of stone, until Sai suddenly appeared, gripping the woman's wrist.
Eye's widening, everything seemed to click into place. A test... the whole fight was a test... but did I pass?, Atsureki thought as he let his eyes return to viewing the world around him in the light spectrum, the battle having drained him of much of his chakra. In the future I'll have to conserve my chakra, had I not been able to lock her Tenketsu, the outcome might have been very different indeed, Atsureki thought as he brought up his right arm to gingerly hold his left, his mind already reviewing the battle to see where his shortcomings were. He would learn from every fight, from every wound, and one day he would even surpass his master.
"Atsureki,", shaken from his thoughts at the sound of Sai speaking his name, Atsureki met the man's always cold gaze attentively, "you may stand down now, you did well." Eyes widening once more in surprise, it was all Atsureki could do to suppress the stupid grin threatening to split his face in two. Maintaining his composure as best he could, Atsureki simply made a small bow, the act hiding his sudden grin from the man, before standing erect once more, his face quickly reverting to a stoic mask. As Sai jerked the woman around and moved to stand closer to himself, Atsureki kept his pale gaze fixed on the woman as Sai made his offer.
As the woman stood there, weighing Sai's offer, Atsureki couldn't help but wonder if, should the woman make the smart decision and joined them, if the two of them would even be able to work together. In truth he bore the woman no ill will, after all, he had simply been following orders when he attacked her, but could the same be said of her? He had suffered injuries, but for the most part his were minor, but this woman on the other hand was almost dead by the looks of her. Glancing at Sai, Atsureki wondered if the man had in some way planned for the two of them to dislike each other, but the thought was quickly pushed out of his mind. In the end, whether they disliked each other would be of little consequence, their common goal would serve as enough of a motivation to work together, especially with the whole of the shinobi world against them.
At the woman's words, Atsureki rolled his eyes, here this woman was, with a chance of living to see another sunrise, and yet she still questioned her good fortune. "You aren't trying to do yourself any favors are you?", Atsureki said as he began walking past the woman, still gingerly clutching at his arm. Sai would be more than capable of speaking with the woman, and without the pain-dulling effects of adrenaline coursing through his system, his arm was beginning to pain him more than he had expected. Stopping next to Jouji, Atsureki closed his eyes as he thrust his arm out in front of the man and said simply, "My arm was burned in the fight, would you be so kind as to heal it?"... I intend to help them remember." Supplies: Kunai: 4 Senbon: 12 Makibishi:20 Light Bomb: 2 Smoke Bomb:3

{{Don't worry Lance, Sai is just a harsh master to train under. He sees a Hyuuga under his tutelage as having so much potential that he expects nothing but the absolute best. He acts like it's all not good enough so you will continue to strive to get better, if only to get better then he is.}} Konaga Sai| Konaga Clan | Akatsuki | Jounin | RPC Profile | The long silence in the woman's response, her swallowing to wet her dry throat, no doubt mixed with blood... the woman was analyzing the offer and no doubt wondering why Sai would offer something like this to someone he just met. It all made perfect sense in his mind just from hearing her words before the fight... the battle was just to prove that at the least she could stand on her own two feet. After all, when Sai acquired Atsureki, he knew next to nothing... he simply had boundless potential as his student. As he watched Atsureki cross the woman to request Jouji to heal him, he heard to the young man's comment and seemingly ignored it, though he processed it as yet another sign that Atsureki was being molded precisely into what Sai always hoped he would be.
Thinking for a moment, but never breaking his gaze on the woman, Sai responded calmly to her words, providing a stark contrast from his pupil's tone... "You have far more to offer then you might think. Our organization lives in the shadows of the greater villages. Our name is a feared whisper among those who have heard of us. Identity is everything in this world and your identity to the villages is nil. You cast no suspicion on yourself and given the past you spoke of earlier, you know how to gather information while drawing little to no attention to yourself as you've never officially been a part of any village. It makes you an ideal operative."
"As to your combat ability, I saw what I needed to see. You fought the youngest and least experienced member of our team, yet lost due to his unique abilities and his tireless training. You seemed to have a few unique qualities of your own and I'm sure we can find more and develop them. More then anything else however, you share a determination not only to control your own fate in this world, but to overthrow that which currently holds power. I'm only offering you a choice to accomplish what you've always wanted. As a part of our organization, you would stand a much better chance of achieving your goals which just happen to align with ours." Sai gave the woman a few moments to think about the offer and remained silent before make the offer one final time...
"Join us and see the dreams you have been working towards your whole life come true. If not, you can walk away and watch us do what it is you've always wanted to do by your own hands. It's your choice, but I will warn you that once you join there is no turning back."
"You can never know my pain..."
