Three is ok, but when you have six you can cover so much more.

If you have a good strategy, you don't need type coverage. :3

Not that type coverage isn't a significant factor in a winning team — you do need a win condition after all.

adaptablity is key to success.....you need to think in terms that you could be fighting any thing

That's an assumption that should always be considered.

However, it's stupid to think you can be prepared for everything. It's best to create a strategy in which your method of winning is defined, and base your defenses around protecting the weak parts of your strategy and add supporting roles to allow your win condition to get through.

I've been impressed with ShoddyBattle so far, though I can't seem to figure out how to remove a pokemon from your line-up so as to have less than six. I've battled a few people, and while a great number of trainers just use it to create ultimate ubers and stuff like that, a few have built legitimate teams with the intention of creating a well-balanced force.

Strategy is definitely important. You have to study your team and know where to make sacrifices for the greater good. Plenty of trainers have brute strength teams, for example. It's necessary to note the sacrifices one has to make, in that case, for things like stat-affecting and stat-ailment moves that are generally under-appreciated.

*whistles innocently while he polishes his halo* I use humbli -- er, humble -- strategies...

I'm just an ordinary trainer... Nope... Not devious or dark-themed at all. Just ordinary, average-joe...

Edit: Also, you can't remove Pokémon from it, DP. By the way, would you mind testing my Dark Gym team out on Shoddy Battle when I get back home tonight?

Did you guys know that Nintendo has a program that they use to scan your game for any traces of hacked pokemon?

They use it on random people that participate in the national/regional tournaments

Wow I only want the Pokesav to gain the perfect babies. =)
I'll work my ways up from there.

Yeah, Arkie. They're free to download.

Oddly, they even run fine on my Mac. x3

I don't care for Pokesav, I have it downloaded but I've yet to use it >.>
Shoddy battle is hella fun though. I'll battle anyone on it. I play UU Raindance. It's ballin!

Though the Pokesav program sounds interesting, I believe no form of hacking should ever be done on a Wi-Fi enabled game. Especially something as competitive as Pokemon.
I may download it and use it on some of my emulator game saves though.

As for shoddy battle, its great!
Awesome idea, really useful in testing out a team/strategy.
