Doctor_Whiteface Emperor Angelo XXV Ah, indeed. Sane fans (moderates) such as yourself are more than welcome here. biggrin
Here is my question for you. How did Edward get Bella pregnant, when Edward is undead? Unobtanium sperm, perhaps? Or maybe just a case of the author handwaving a minor (relatively speaking) point. Or perhaps since Meyers changed up so much else about the vampire mythos she also removed the 'undead' portion? That could be true. She might've made them into a bunch of Mary Sue and Gary Stu immortals. gonk

Britt Phobia @ angry_hedgehog4=My question is what you think of all the rabid Twilight fangirls. I mean the other ones who think SMeyers is a prophet, and are convinced that Edward Cullen actually exists. http://applesparkles.wikia.com/wiki/Cullenism

Friied Cheekan Britt Phobia Moonlight Penguin My question, which everyone probably wants to know, is why do you like Twilight? Well, to answer your question, I love the Twilight Series, due to my being open-minded, as well as liking the concept of the type of literature that is out there. I like just about any form, the concept of vampires, I just believe it to be a good book. 3nodding Take the whole mystical vibe of the series, relating it to Harry Potter, it's in the same kind of catergory, is it not? Well, I think it is, At least. lol There are hundered and thousands of books, in any form of a genre you can think of. Not all of us could like the same things. Well, to wrap this up, I just think that the series is good, but not superb, in the sense. The whole concept of what the author considered I suppose "The Forbidden Fruit" is what attracts most. As I'm sure it has to some of you, and, sometimes giving it a chance, would make all the difference-Whether or not you liked the book, At least you tried! Not everyone can like it. Hope this answers your questions. wink Please don't ever relate Harry Potter to Twilight ever again. They're both under the same kind of genre.. Basically Sci-Fi. question

x-Shadow Wind My question is; What do you think of the mass amount of people that think that Twilight is anti-feminist? And the fact that 1o year olds are reading it, giving them the idea that teenage marriage and teenage pregnancy is good? Twilight to be Anti-Feminist? Wow, definately not heard of this one yet, And, I don't think that it gives the younger audience a way of encouraging them to engage in any of the inappropriate things written in the series. I don't think she was in any way promoting. I do say that, How it 'was' written, to some younger children, may not occur to them of the such, But again, All are opinions wink @KingJack- I had checked out the link, and I have to say, I'm pretty amazed- I do have to say I find it rather comical, and, funny, was throughly enjoyed with this link. But I have yet to have heard of such a term- Cullenism. How intriguing.. Thanks for sharing this with me! @Doctor_Whiteface- Thanks for the link! I found your topic to be a good way of showing mature opinions and it's nice to see maturity within the forum 3nodding

My friend is a sane twilight fan. But she enjoys mocking it too. she says, "Its soo cheesy I can't stop reading it" x]
We always run around saying "Then Buffy staked edward. THE END" or "OMJFH SPARKLY CREEPER VAMPIRES ARE COMING TO GET US." So shes a fan. Sortof.
Anyways. I hate twilight-crazed-fan-girls. But SANE fans are great ^-^ Welcome to the guild~

I mean, the fact that the girls are always the ones to get in trouble, the relatively weaker/incorrect ones, and the ones who can't stand up without a man by their side? And how about the fact that Edward got 100 years of education and Bella never got into college? That, instead of going to college and getting a job, she skipped the whole college idea, got married early to the man *without whom she couldn't live* and became a young mother/housewife? And she says she's smart, but she never shows any real intelligence (ie. lack of common sense). Sorry, stream of consciousness.

She also jumped off a cliff so she could hear a hallucination of his voice when he wasn't with her. (In support of the needing a man by her side argument). I always feel the need to specifically point that one out. Sorry.

Although, You have to 'realize' that this is a book, of which the author chose the path for her to go onto in order to do the series. I do however, agree with what you all are saying. It makes a lot of sense as to why she'd pick it, however, She did end up pregnant, as well as one thing leading to another, and, you know. A book of which we have no control over, I guess all unfortunate sides to books of which none understands/likes, whatever, has pros and cons. 3nodding But indeed, as it was said, "All opinions are entitled" wink

Only the squeeling kind. I actually enjoy reading the series, although I'm not one of those squealing fan girls.. confused Although, I have nothing against them. I guess a lot of the readers of various genres, books, out there is assuming we're 'all' that way, Well, I joined and started this topic to show that Not everyone's that way. Yep, you read it right, I am a sane fan. I am knowledgable of the series, and I do have critical and positive feedback on the series. xd I've read the series over since 2005. I assure you, We're all sane fans (To me) For those who've followed the books beyond the fandom of Twilight Fanatics, whom are obsessed to no end. sweatdrop

If you don't mind me asking, and this is kinda off topic but, what other kind of books do you read? I just love knowing what other people like to read sweatdrop I also read the books a few times, trying to understand them. Another question: What is your favorite part of the books? Or does it vary to you on how they are put and said? 3nodding
