Death Rules Complete:As many of you know the rules for dying recently where altered to eliminate infinite lives while still trying to keep in mind that people don't want to loose their characters. These changes while hotly debated are made for the simple intent of preventing possible future abuse of taking advantage of having infinite resurrections or at least not planning out to have allies, into effect. Now when you die you are allowed to make 7 checks. 1 check limit per day and up to two weeks to make all 7. There are two ways to be ressurected either: A) Being brought back by your allies using medicate or B) The more difficult, but still possible, option of using your toughness and willpower to simply hang onto life. As you die more and more often the vs for this check will increase making it more and more difficult to return. However your own stats should also increase meaning that if you don't switch to dying too often you should be able to keep up with the rate. Failure of all 7 checks (or no successes within the two week limit) means you will have to do a character reset. This means you keep your same level and simply: Swap Stats around Re-choose Clan/Village Re-create jutsu/items Re-choose perks with limits set on said new stats. A full layout of the rules can be found in Rules < Combat < Damage and Recovery < DyingAs a result all critical results have been slightly altered to say "dying" rather than "dead".

Stat Buff Effect Altered: Toughness may now be buffed. Note no other Resolve based stat can be however, only toughness. This is for both protection and resurrection purposes.
After Life Thread Added: The afterlife thread briefly discussed in the "Dying" rules is now available with lue of the battle ending. It is not an actual afterlife, but rather a sort of lucid dreaming the body goes into when it is dying, ie what sort of images or scenarios the victims brain flashes before their eyes during the process of dying.

Building Creation
The Building Creation Thread has been completed. Although it has been filled out enough to be open for public use, it is far from perfected and as such is still open for suggestions. Normally, only Player Kages, or Missing Nin that have claimed territory (See Claiming Territory) are allowed to create buildings for their village. However, in the absence of Player Kages any player may donate Ryo to their village funds, and have it updated with a building. However keep in mind that when there eventually does become a player Kage he/she has the right to do with this building/ryo as he/she pleases.
Closed system test
Recently NFS: 2 Redux has been going through many updates and changes in the past few months. For the first time in a long time the guild system is being updated faster than players actually level and gain the ability to use them. This is very fortunate as now we have the chance to effectively test these new features before they begin to be regularly used. With that being said, I am requesting up to 6 volunteers to participate in a trial run of the new building system, as well as a few other features we are considering. No rewards will be given for participating, however by doing so you can ensure that future updates are properly tested and balanced before being used by the majority of the guild. Anyone that is interested in joining this test of the new system should pm me. We will be running two instances, each tester will get a feel for what it is like to defend as well as attack a country that has buildings in effect.

New Missions: 7 New Missions have been released for all to participate in. The checks have been spread out for various specialties to be required to participate.

Demon Rules:The new demon rules have been added here. Now there are only the 9 cannon demons. They will be available for anyone to either capture (for those uncaptured) or steal from the three people that do possess them currently (people that donated and have agreed, with a small compensation, to have this applicable to them as well). The three people that have them I will now roll for. 1D10, 10 is a re-roll and any double I get will also be a re-roll. 1st D10 ele360 = 7 Tailed Demon 2nd D10 ssAntonio = 9 Tailed Demon 3rd D10 StreamPunk = 8 Tailed Demon ((Edit after roll: Lol, how ironic they got the most powerful demons. Though with the quest no one would have been able to catch these roaming for some time anyways. Hell stealing them from them will be easier than that quest would have been against the 7+ tails xD)) NOTE:A new set of demon related DD's are going to be released soon that will help with the quest to gain the roaming demons as well as help extract demons from other players or even keep them bound to you (a perk).

Advanced Turn Skeleton
Located here is a new battle turn skeleton. This skeleton was made to mimic the NFS1 version which gave the player much more detail and structure to there battle post. This new skeleton is completely optional and can be used at the players connivance.

Chuunin Exams 2011:
Due to various Real Life issues that have been troubling players in the guild, there will be an extension for all players to arrive at Lightning Country by next week Monday, May 23rd. The first exams will be started promptly that day at 12:00 PM PST. Also as leniency to players, you will also be allowed to time skip your location to Lightning Country this one time.

Chuunin Exams 2011 (Cont...):As due to technical difficulties the exams have recently been delayed but as of today will begin to move again. Each player that plans to attend the exams can now begin RPing at the new location of the exams, linked below. Mod Test:
We are currently looking for a new addition to the crew to help out with various tasks around the guild. As such we are releasing a new mod test to the guild. Please PM all tests to ssAntonio.
Note: You will be required to have an account on one of the following Instant Messengers; AIM. MSN. Or YIM. If you do not, please do not take this test as you will be required to be on their actively to more easily discuss future tasks.
Quote: Required: Instant Messenger Acount(s). 1. Two players are having a battle and one player has successfully struck the other. The strike deals critical damage, and more or less turns the tide of battle completely in the attacking players favor. However, two rounds later you notice that the PC on his attack was not done properly and the corrected PC would not have resulted in a hit. It is too late to tell them to edit their post and fix it, however this mistake in PC has resulted in a heavy hit to the defending player. What would be the proper course of action in this situation? Why? 2. A player is in battle with his opponent. His agility is only 100, and he has no buffs what so ever to his agility. When attacking his opponent his offensive PC is 500. He has no jutsu active, nor does he have any buffs to his agility, is this possible? If so or if not, how come? 3. Player X has spent the last few weeks RPically plotting and gathering allies to attack Village A. Village A is controlled by player Y and also has players M and N to protect the village. You have 100 WP, you cannot switch stats with Int. Build a lvl 100 Summon (Touch Range) with the highest possible chance of breaking out of a mental debuff of 1,000. Do state what your chances would be. Note: You do not need to come up with names/descriptions, simply what is needed for the battle system calculations. 5. How much EXP and Lines Total is needed to reach Level 100? 6. What makes you a good addition as a Mod?

Mod Recruitment is now closed
This announcement is to inform the public that mod recruitment is now closed and a decision has been made. Before announcing our selection I would like to first thank everyone who took the time out to take our test and apply for the position. We received some interesting results that even shocked us in some cases. Now this does not mean that no one may take and submit their application via the mod test, however this does mean that for now we will simply cease seeking a new mod and will instead continue to manage things with the resources that we currently have. In other words, we will not be selecting a new mod out of any of the previous candidates at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused you. If you feel as though there is an error in your test results feel free to pm ele360 with the issue. Until then we hope that everyone is enjoying the guild and will continue to be pleased with the actions of our team.

DD Update:
I'll be implementing a new set of DD's soon as well as a "roulette" DD option. Essentially standard $5 donation will apply, however instead of getting one item of your choice you'll instead be able to get two random items (as determined by a roll in a specialized thread). In addition there will be the chance of scoring a jackpot at which point you get to re-roll on the roulette list in addition to gaining an extra item roll! Making it possible to gain 3 or even more DD's with a single donation.
I'll attempt to vastly expand the DD list by asking what stories are going around and what notable items might have been a result then applying them as DD's (many hopefully with unique effects as most DD's have). So with that said, if you have been part of an RP where you think some notable legendary treasure, weapon, or something of the sort might exist within the world then by all means pm me with it and I'll see if I can work it into the new list.

~: Potency Rules Updated :~
It has come to our attention that there was a slight oversight in the potency rules, one in which left a small hole in the battle system. As it currently stands, Potency more or less guarantees an auto hit if your potency is higher than the target. Although we have been aware of this problem for some time, we are now prepared to make final changes to the system that we hope will not cause much confusion. The changes to potency in no way will hinder anyone and as such it is not necessarily to change anything about your build to reflect the edits to the potency system.
See Combat -> Activating a jutsu for information as to how to properly calculate your potency. See Defense Phase -> Pierce Damage for information as to how to properly apply piercing damage.
