.What is Even The Heck. SOLO ~ Andrea, with some peripheral people who might be more present than he is
Things were sort of a blur to Andrea once he got home, his cheek still bleeding and his clothing full of sand. His mother fawned over him and his father rushed to call the hospital. The ambulance came and took Andrea to the hospital and the rest of his family followed along. All the while, Andrea fended off stretches and wheelchairs, insisting that he could walk just fine, but it was mostly because it felt like the robotic motions of his body were working just fine.
Really, it felt like the pain was someone else's, his whole body was someone else's. And Andrea ... honestly did not mind it. It was like he was watching someone else go to the hospital, finally accept a wheel chair to go into the emergency room, get stabbed with needles for blood tests. The pain was there, but it was like an unfamiliar curiosity.
For the best, because really, how else was his mind supposed to process that he had been attacked by some dog apparently from another dimension, and subsequently saved by someone who seemed to essentially be a teenage superhero? Andrea's mind sort of swam back to the news reports of monsters and terrorists, and how he had taken the accounts of such attacks with a grain of salt up until the roach monster had attacked TGI Thaidays. That had been surreal, as well, but somehow this was different. Maybe because it had just been him the dog had attacked? And the senshi had been there to save him and him only?
Andrea abruptly realized that he was in a hospital bed now, surrounded by his family, but relating a description of the dog to an officer. No, it wasn't on a leash. It was black. He didn't see anyone with it (walking it; he figured the senshi was irrelevant to the question). He ... was not sure where it went. He was attacked at this address, or within a house or two. No, he was not sure where the sand came from.
Really, who would believe all of it? Andrea hardly did himself.
An hour or so later, he knew he did not have rabies, at least, and had had the cuts on his face and arms cleaned and bandaged. The hospital wanted to keep him overnight just to be on the safe side, and so his family finally left. He felt tired all over, mentally and physically, and so, he was surprisingly able to drift off in the hospital bed, contrary to most everything he had heard about how difficult it was to sleep in a hospital.
On one hand, Andrea hoped everything would make more sense in the morning. But for now, he strongly suspected that it would not make much sense at all from any angle until long after his cuts had knit closed and healed over. Now the news would not sound so crazy ... but would that make him crazy instead?
